I'm not entirely sure how to run it — do I have to compile? The installation steps on your git page are x'ed out.
Would advice on adding more instructions on how to run the game or give a direct link to download etc..
I don't understand how to run it :(
no idea how to run it or compile it or gain access to all the files. Is there anywhere else you've published it?
Do you have to git this project? Or do what to complile? I recommend posting on itch.io
The game requires an account to download. Could you post it anywhere else? @me when you do!
I'm really sorry that I neglected the registration problem. Please forgive me. I have uploaded the project to GitHub.After listening to the Suggestions, you can now extract the zip file to get the executable file of the game. Of course, the zip file can be downloaded from github, gitee, gameJot, and the address is updated at the top @rjerez192 @thor-lucas @thor-lucas @martintale @psychic-ash @forevertrash
Fun game, very difficult. Cool art style, I like the animations and the lighting effects. I do wish you could auto fire. Kept running into invisible walls, wasn't sure if it was just too dark or something.
@linwenhao Could you upload builds, not just the source/project files? You can add zip files to GitHub Releases, then post the link in your games description.
Had a enjoyable time, did take some fiddling to find how to launch it from the files, I did find it tho. I like the injection mechanic, and I Really enjoyed the text boxes for the player. I did find the shooting to be a bit odd, if I was moving in the same direction as I was shooting the bullets would disappear, I THINK the bullets might be colliding with the player. I like the enemy HP bar. nice entry!

Thanks for playing this game! There are a lot of bugs in this game, because the time is too short, so there are some details I did not test and improve, but I will keep updating it!^_^ @ilprinny
Thank you very much for playing this game. I find it very interesting to use lighting in 2d games, and I still need to improve the scene. @sacredbacon
I’m really sorry that I neglected the registration problem. Please forgive me. I have uploaded the project to GitHub. And I have upload this game into GameJot. @spacewizardj
I wanted to run it, but there is no .zip file with an executable
@linwenhao Ok I was able to download it from GameJolt. First things first. CONGRATULATIONS on the completion of your first Ludum Dare! I remember my first time. (Ludum Dare 17!) That was a long time ago, hahaha. Ok, my first comment, is you should let me play more than once! I failed my first time and wanted to try again! I like the art and the walk animation. You got quite a bit done for Ludum Dare! I see AI and a story and that is good! The setup and story along with the exploration is why I played a few times. I would recommend you research Unity's collision system. I often found that I was shooting myself or my bullets were disappearing for some other reason. You game is difficult but I like that! I kept trying to find a good path. I really like the main character talking to himself. Even in AAA games it seems to be standard that all main characters talk to themselves. I like this game and you should keep making this type of game and tell stories. Good job! Thanks for letting me play your game!
Thank you very much for playing this game and exploring the inner workings of this game.Thank you for sharing your experience. I am making progress while making this game.I will continue to work hard to improve the game.^_^ @spacewizardj
If you download the source file, the executable is in the Project_CanRun folder, and if you just want to download the runnable file you can go to GameJot, which I have posted on GameJot and GitHub.The address is in the introduction at the top. Github:https://github.com/LinAndAGame/KeepItAlive.git GameJot:https://gamejolt.com/games/myfistludumGame/488077 I hope you can play this game and reply to your feelings~^_^ @dooskington
Nice game, it has nice storytelling and guides you through
Thanks for playing this game, I really want to try to guide the players in the way of talking to myself in this game^_^ @codingninjajoas
Cool artstyle and very good story. I like it.
Thank you very much for playing this game.I will continue to update the game. @retti01
The GameJolt download worked for me. I like that you tried out a lot of things: enemy AI, lighting, story, even a working minimap! However, as someone else noted, there were collision issues and I found myself getting stuck on things I couldn't see (I don't know if it was distant walls or enemies). Also, my HP/RP were dropping fast before I could really figure out what was going on. (I'm not sure what "RP" stood for?) Music would be a nice addition. It has potential if you worked on these areas. Nice attempt for your first game.
First of all, thank you very much for playing this game seriously. As you said, there are still many deficiencies in this game, and I am constantly improving these details. Now more and more, I feel that making a game is a process of paying attention to details, and I will deal with these details carefully in the future. Finally, thank you for your feedback! @stanleygray
Here is some last minute feedback!
Great entry! The graphics are nice and the sound effects are alright. I don't really like how much the player slides around. Also, some background music and a few more sounds would be really nice.
