Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-24T16:58:15Z
Obviously just throwing my two tiny sticks of wood into a massive fire but well done! Was really polished and enjoyable to play!

Enjoyable and polished game, had a lot of fun with this!
Our games are actually quite similar, except my fire is more picky :)
Nicely done! The game was fun and I was gonna hit 700 objects burned until I met my demise! Keeping up can be tough. The progression was nice, being able to unlock the ability to place down objects that create better fuel, and the entire experience was intense! The graphics were also nice, and overall the game had a decent amount of polish. Great job!
@geryon-games Thank you for playing! Unfortunately yes I had some scaling/space issues with the ingredients.
@seagull Thanks for playing! I just wish I had more time to spend on the inventory, as yea it is fairly clunky at the moment!
@nate-wert Thanks for playing! Nono, your suggestion is *very* valid here. I had more plans to make the player do more, *while* having to cook as well, forcing the player to switch back and forth between the two time-oriented tasks, but only cooking made its way into the game. So I hoped the player would search for ingredients for the other dishes while cooking one, or simply and unfortunately (as many do) wait.
@joonamo Thanks for playing! I probably should have made it play throughout! I wish i could have made one more song for gameplay.
@2kah Thank you for playing! There should have been butter on the left side by the river, sorry you couldn't finish!
Super cool game! Everything just had a super good amount of polish on it, from graphics to music to feel. Super well done!
Just as infuriating as it was fun :)
Well done! You guys all did an amazing job on this game! The music and graphics fit nicely and were stellar, level design was on point and meshed well with the concept, and every was tied together neatly with a story and a ton of amazing polish.
Pretty cool take on the theme! As everyone keeps saying, the digging aspect of the game (whether or not someone thought it had some flaws) was super cool and well done, especially considering this game is a compo entry.
If the web version doesn't reflect your true vision, it might be prudent to take it down until then. I would count fixing whatever errors as within the LD rules (even though some time has passed).
Overall, well done!
This game's graphics were lovely! I also enjoyed the implementation of 'space exploration', even as the brunt of the exploring was text, it was still interesting to travel between planets trying to find what I needed.
I kind of understood going 'deeper and deeper' into space, but it didn't really fit the overall theme.
Nonetheless, the game had a decent amount of polish; stellar graphics (I especially liked the stars), a complete story, and mechanics: the ability to move around in the ship and interact with objects.
Well done!
I remember seeing a preview of this posted somewhere (Forgot whether it was discord or the LD forums, pretty sure it was discord) and being excited to play it! Here we are.
The graphics and sound mesh together super well, and overall the pixel sprites were so cute! I was so taken aback the first time I crashed my lander and heard the explosion sound
Not sure if it was intentional but as someone mentioned before, I felt the hitbox could have used a teensy bit more fine tuning. Landing perfectly fine only to bump briefly into the wall next to me felt a bit unfair.
There's definitely a difficulty curve, but its achievable through deliberation, and after many many *many* deaths at the beginning I found myself mastering the flight of the little lander The mechanic was genuinely fun to play, and beautifully danced the line between infuriating/rage-inducing and the "one-more-try" mentality. Well done!
@leandro4002 My gosh that was clean.
Pretty cool game! I got the planet heart :)
The progression curve seemed pretty solid to me, the graphics were cute, and the music was solid! But the lack of almost any other sounds was quite jarring.
The random generation was cool but I also felt a cool aspect could have been keeping the same terrain every time the player returned, so that they could continue going down tunnels they've burrowed with their new upgrades, further into the theme of deeper and deeper.
Nonetheless, well done!
Whatever is here, its pretty solid! As said before, I definitely needed *something* there to tell me what to do, even if it was as simple as *click on the dice, click on the card you want to put them towards.* Other than that, and despite the short nature of the game, it was a cool concept! There was already some elements of player choice--the ability to pick one of 3 unique starter ships, story choice--and the combat was there already. I did note however it was strange I had to roll for the enemy.
Other than that, the user interface was super clean and very pleasing to look and use. This definitely has some potential. Well done!
Interesting mechanics! The take on going deeper and deeper into the gave via "golf" was super interesting, and I especially liked the audio. Alongside wonky map generation, I did find myself going straight through a few walls when full speed, but other than that I had no issues. Outside of the solid sound, there was definitely a creepy atmosphere to this game. Well done!
Graphics and overall appearance were exceptional! There was definitely a huge amount of polish in the design, graphics, UI, music, sound, etc. As others have said, there is definitely a huge difficulty curve, and it took me a while of playing in order to fully get a grip on combat. Nonetheless I felt it was solid, and could even be a kind of class based party game!
A fan of Disco Elysium, I can respect it :)
Anyway, whats here is well done! Had fun with this game. The graphics were solid, and I enjoyed the use of lights even if the lighting did seem a bit 'jarring' and 'non-2D' at times. Again, great game!
@alexjdg Thanks for playing!
I used Blender to model and paint the models. I followed this setup tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQVAUaSUP-k
Super cool platformer! I really loved the art and the level design was super solid. Unfortunately I was unable to finish because somehow I clipped into a wall:
stuck.PNG
I was so close to the end as well! I might try some other time.
Again, super great overall, lots of polish.
Super solid game! The graphics were cute, and sound was well done! The mechanics were pretty solid as well. I think the 'standing-still-to-aim' part of combat was a tad redundant however; In my eyes standing still seems to suggest the need for accuracy, but this game was moreso about speed. Yes standing still to aim seemed prudent when a wolf was lurking in the trees, but on the chance they chased after me, I was right clicking only for an instant; I might as well be able to throw while running. Overall however, super fun, well polished game! Well done!
Well done endless runner! There's a creepy, 'I'm-the-last-one-alive' kind of atmosphere built with the sounds, and they meshed well with the clean graphics/effects. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but I honestly felt more like I was going *towards* something rather than *down* to something, in part due to the perspective of left-right vs up-down. Nonetheless, well done overall!
Super cool game especially given this was for a game jam! Enjoyed roaming around, the mechanics all seemed super solid, and generally there was a good amount of polish. I did end up just checking the coordinates, but still I enjoyed roaming around on my own accord for a good long while. Well done!
Really cool concept with solid execution! It was a neat idea and playing the actual product was fun. The UI became fairly obtrusive as I played more and more however, block me from seeing where I was going at times. Nonetheless, well done!
I truly enjoyed bringing out my inner Shakespeare. Thank you.
Super fun game, really cool idea with a solid implementation. Also cool to see someone using Godot :)
Super fun game! The giant laser was super satisfying to use, and overall the mechanics worked well, trading mobility in a kind of 'bullet hell' landscape in order to gain a powerful attack advantage. Well done!
I'd love to go pro in game development in order to make masterpieces like this.
As I'm sure you've already been told, super cool concept! I've seen people do these "wiki-page-to-page-speedruns" before and it was cool to have played one this LD!
Wow this was a cool game!
Definitely a more interesting take on the generic "deeper and deeper into space" with "deeper and deeper *into an asteroid belt*". Very cool stuff.
Gameplay was fun! I felt like a true starship captain dodging obstacles and barging my way through asteroids.
Sound and graphics were both clean! I would have liked to see textured asteroids but given they seem to be randomly generated it seems difficult.
Overall well done!

As said before, definitely a strong atmospheric game. Was a super cool take on delving deeper and deeper into the sewers, and It definitely felt like it with the increased darkness/danger as I went lower and lower. I was also unable to use my trusty plunger past the I think 3rd level? Not sure why.
The general atmosphere was super creepy and I genuinely got scared at one point (even with the lack of sounds). Seeing the, *whatever* those things were running around was a sight to behold. And the music was a great addition.
Until it got very repetitive.
Overall, well done!
One of the most interesting takes on the theme I've seen all day! Level design was solid and overall a fun game :) The secrets were a nice touch as well :)
Great job everyone! The game was super fun to play; I thoroughly enjoyed cutting through enemies and testing my reaction time with the fastest of clicks in order to just barely save myself by cutting through cracked tiles or bouncing out of what would have been the career ending fall. The music, art, and enemy variety were all super solid as well!
Fun game : ) I loved the slowing down mechanic, getting more 'focused' it was really cool. The varied enemies were pretty cool though I would have liked to see the ranged enemies have a projectile with more contrast to the ground. The boss battle was super fun and took me a few tries to finally beat.
Graphics were super great :)
I'm sure Mike's his goal by now.
Simple mechanic but effective in its implementation. Fun little game with a really cool art style as well, one of the more iconic I've seen so far. Switching things up like the speed of the targets in addition to size was also cool. I would have loved to see a little more feedback and integration into the theme. Great job!
Fun game, actually really liked the simplistic look and the rush and rush of playing/having to do a million things at a time was a fun mechanic to play along with.
Overall great experience! Really loved the visuals/art style and overall presentation that really ties everything all together.
Wow this is really impressive, especially for a compo game! Well done! As other users have noted, also experienced a few hiccups when first diving/loading, but it went away faster. The UI also didn't scale very well to a 13" macbook. But outside those nitpicks, the overall game was great and super cohesive! The well put together art style and world complete with the effects for going underwater, solid animations, and decent sound lead to a really enjoyable experience. Everything to do with diving also felt super satisfying and flowed really well, from the animations to the natural buoyancy. Great job!
Game is built around a well thought out, fun mechanic. Engaging gameplay and an overall fun and memorable experience. Well done!
Very clever use of the theme! Thanks for also checking out my game :)
Very polished, especially considering the additional constraints. Overall game was simple but effective in theme and presentation, art style & sound was very polished, and adjusting focus between planes was very satisfying & nice to look at. It was great to see a 2D interpretation of depth of focus, and this was implemented very well.
Wow this is actually a really novel and unique idea that plays well in levels that have a good amount of thought to them. It has the right balance of hair pulling irritation when I mess something up with the satisfaction of finally being successful on a win. It was nice to see things like unbreakable tiles, but I would have loved to see more interactables. Regardless, overall really cool idea executed well in a fun game!
Game’s visuals and overall presentation are fantastic, and cool tie ins with the theme are well done. Fun to play, great job overall!
Fun game with simple execution but a good amount of options. I think it does start out a little fast (or maybe thats just how I was playing it) so I felt like I kind of had to rush certain upgrades or spam to get certain milestones, but that just made it even more hectic and engaging! Absolutely loved to see a robot drilling down and down armed with a litany of expensive, outrageous weaponry attacked by the wildest of things. Well done!
Really well put together game! Took a novel idea with the sonar mechanic and ran with it. Tying it into vision/darkness with depth was also a great idea, and the "slippery" controls that added another layer of difficulty was also a welcome challenge that added a lot to the game. The sound and sonar ping shader was also really cool and I enjoyed spamming it whenever I could.
Nice simple idea that is well replayable and fun! Definitely a nice break from platformers/using WASD or arrow keys. Cohesive visuals and overall presentation bring it together nicely as well. Great job!
Side note, I couldn't really see the letters in the Ludum Dare webplayer. Itch.io works fine though.
Man I'm a sucker for farming games and this was an enjoyable play. I also loved the art style, the low fidelity shadeless pixel environment and graphics looked super nice. Theres a clear vision here for something even more if you want to take it there, and the upgrades/autofarming/crop placement mechanics are a great started to what could be a far more complex, deep post-jam game. I would have liked the ability to delete/move crops or slightly more direction (maybe its just me but I didn't even know about the auto harvesting till I was close to being done), and furthermore I wish I could have kept playing after buying freedom. But aside from all that, super fun game packaged in a wonderful presentation. Great job!
As others have mentioned, I at first had some slight confusion when starting out, but the overall experience was a really charming and unique game. Really loved the look of everything as well. Great job!
Really fun and polished production. Loved the voice acting and of course the art stood out with solid visuals and unique presentation.
Really polished and well done, short and sweet but plenty of variety even in terms of gameplay with the back and forth platforming/bullet hell sections. Each was done very well and everything felt pretty smooth to play, especially dashing around in the combat sections.
I would have loved to maybe see a little more challenging platforming or more communication on weapons/powerups in bullet hell, but thats just nitpicky and the fact this was done in a mere 48 hours is amazing. Great job!
Really cool stuff, overall a well imagined and developed product. Really appreciated not just the atmosphere but the overall look/style/experience of everything. Impressive especially given the time!
As others have already mentioned, really clever take on an existing game that plays well with the original rules! Especially mechanics like rotation opened up a lot of doors for more interesting puzzle designs and level layouts. I experienced 2 small softlocks with pushable objects getting stuck in places or the player getting stuck (but as already mentioned restarting the level worked fine for my purposes). Overall fun to play. Great job!
Fun little game, I liked the mechanic and it was easily replayable/kept me hooked. A few small quality of life changes made it a bit harder (the UI is a bit difficult to interpret/faded/overlapping incorrectly sometimes, you can keep connected even when "paused") but overall a fun experience.
Saw a lot of “water depth” games but this one stands out from others with a novel concept, cute presentation, and overall a good experience. Nicely done!
Love the art style/overall presentation, and the actual mechanic was fun and highly replayable. Right amount of difficulty that required lots of practice/effort to get better at (at least for someone slow like me), making even small wins feel all the better. Well done!
