LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Project Orpheo by zondarg 2021-04-27T15:45:59Z

This was pretty neat! You totally nailed the difficulty level - challenging, but easy enough that you can complete it in a limited time frame. I did notice that sometimes you would get stuck on corners of tiles when trying to move from a lower position to a higher one. Even so, the core gameplay was pretty solid - I really liked the flying mechanic, which made the game feel entirely distinct from other platformers I have played.

SPEKS - A Murder Mystery by Swordfish 2021-04-26T03:18:49Z

This was awesome! Digging through the testimonies to find the murderer was quite fun. I appreciate the fact that you added a few red herrings to spice things up.

Dwarven Descent by Chumzy 2021-04-26T02:55:02Z

This is alright! Enemies feel quite hard to kill, though, especially since you are throwing away your only weapon in order to hit them once.

DESCENT by Zephi_Sero 2021-04-26T03:28:30Z

I quite enjoyed this! I have always enjoyed upgrade-type games and this one was quite good. I was somewhat surprised when the amount of money you could get from certain upgrades seemed to spike, though. Nice job!

Mineshaft by ditam 2021-04-27T13:18:50Z

That was pretty awesome! It really reminds me of dominion. I have mad respect for you for making a card game in 48 hours - I did it for one jam and it was incredibly difficult. I did notice one bug, though - One time I accidentally pressed the end turn button on my turn, then again on the enemy turn. It ended the enemy turn, then had the AI do my turn for me, then discarded all non-pickaxe cards from my hand. Then, the AI played through its own turn. Then, I was able to play again. This put me at a significant disadvantage, but I still was able to pull through in the end. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the game. It had some neat strategy involved. You should try to develop this more! I really think it could become a releasable game if you put a bit more time into it.

Investigate by Adrocodes 2021-04-26T03:50:38Z

I really like the concept, and the visuals are really great, but it is really quite difficult. Also, a better tutorial would have been nice. I have had multiple attempts, but every time I think I am getting somewhere I run out of time or have one of my meters fill up. Even so, the game looks great, and it is clear that a lot of time and energy have been put into making this. Nice work!

The Deep North by buckmeister 2021-04-27T15:52:59Z

This game is pretty impressive! First of all, the graphics are awesome. I love the style, and I think the snow is really pretty. The gameplay may need some work, though - I can't seem to figure out what situations the dash mechanic is useful in, and later on it feels like your sword does not do enough damage to kill enemies in a time-efficient manner. Perhaps new enemies / sword upgrades would fix that, although I am unsure if I have missed some mechanics which covered what I am complaining about. Even so, I am really impressed with the scale of the game, given it had to be made within 48 hours. Nice job!

Hook, Line, Key by chiyeon 2021-04-26T02:49:58Z

Wow, the graphics were incredible! Also, the game just had a really nice atmosphere. My only complaint was that the tutorial felt a bit long. Overall, though, great work!

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-26T03:36:47Z

This was fun. I do wish it was a bit easier to see the wolf or hit him with rocks, though. It's quite challenging to hit him with 3! Despite that, I had a good time. Nice job!

Into the Abyss by oeschmid 2021-04-26T02:14:39Z

This was pretty cool. The puzzles were well thought out, but really hard. I got stuck on level 7. Truly, awesome work!

Lord Of The Flies by PixelPortalz 2021-04-26T02:34:17Z

I really enjoyed this! I did run into a bug however, where at some point it just kept giving me infinite upgrades while not letting me really play the game easily because it kept stopping time to give me upgrades. Even so, the parts I did play were quite nice!

Depths of the Deep by Panacea 2021-04-26T01:04:52Z

I liked this! I really like the music, even if it is pretty simple. Also, some of the puns are pretty good - I didn't realize how many definitions of "deep" you could use when starting the jam!

Umbra by Zettabit 2021-04-26T03:44:15Z

This has been the best game I have played so far today. I love the combination of stealth and speed that is used in this game. It just feels really good to play. Also, the music and graphics are both awesome. I did notice that a guard looked directly at me once and didn't catch me, but that may have been a one-time thing. Overall, great job. This game was really neat.

TESTS by EpicCrownKing 2021-04-26T02:22:00Z

This was quite entertaining to play. I love how I started by not reading most files but by the end I was reading and memorizing every word because the game seemed to want me to. And thank goodness it made me do that - the files were quite funny!

Deepr Diver by Vitor Figueredo 2021-04-26T02:39:01Z

This seems to be of a quality where you could update a small amount of things and make this into a sellable mobile game. The gameplay is pretty polished, and the graphics look pretty good. Luck definitely seems to be a huge factor in player success, but overall I quite like this!
