Very nice art style on this one! The theme song is really fun too. Aiming was a bit difficult.

Nice presentation but the game is too much hard. I don't think I managed to kill a single enemy ...
Very good looking game, with a lot of polish, music and sound wrapping altogether. The problem here is the game play, I managed to beat one boss (there are bosses! and was probably the most easy and satisfying combat during my playthrough), but the combat again other shapes feels very "grindy" (look forward, attack, hope to hit the enemy, hope not getting hit, back up shoot back, repeat), but with the size of enemies, and there ratio of shooting without it being telegraphed, as soon as you have two near shapes with an intercalated rate of fire, you are pretty much dead. The idea of picking which character based on what is on the screen, is super cool, and I think this could be expanded by balancing the combat. Great work!
@le-slo Thanks for the great feedback!
Graphics and overall appearance were exceptional! There was definitely a huge amount of polish in the design, graphics, UI, music, sound, etc. As others have said, there is definitely a huge difficulty curve, and it took me a while of playing in order to fully get a grip on combat. Nonetheless I felt it was solid, and could even be a kind of class based party game!
@chiyeon Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the gameplay is on my part, I definitely should've made it more accessible.
As others have said here, I love the art style and overall performance/vibe, the colours really pop and feel neon on the background which is awesome. It was a little difficult initially but then I got the hang and was able to take down a few bosses. I think the difficulty just comes from spawning right near a few enemies, but then once you deal with them you pretty much just face one at a time. It was very cool to see the bosses and to choose from shapes on the scree, Ive never seen an idea like that and I think it was executed exceptionally. Overall, great job!
I got "“CQns 2” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin." on Macos. Let me know if you're able to resolve and I'll play/rate :)
@cal probably not, we don't have any macos devices so we can't troubleshoot the problem
It's a very polished game and I had fun with it. I was impressed with the music and art, and I love the retro feel--you nailed it. I really like the idea of selecting your character and then facing off against the rest. It was a fun surprise.
Unfortunately I found it pretty difficult to aim. I think a big part of it is the character's slow fire rate and the behavior of the enemies. They definitely felt too tanky to me.
I enjoyed it once I got the hang of it, though. Nice work on it.
I managed to kill just a dozen or so enemies, and I felt pretty lucky! A fun look and a liked the twist of shooting backwards. Definitely hard to aim, though... how come the enemies get to move and shoot at arbitrary angles and I'm stuck with right angles? And they're all ganging up on me, eh? Hardly seems fair! :)
Hard to get used to, but super fun when you do
Cool! Really fun and stylish, with nice UI and music too!
Fun game!
Shooting backwards was a nice touch. I only missed some background, it gets a little confusing when the viewport moves since shapes recoil when they shoot.
On the technical side, the window starts too big, not fitting on the screen. Also, your view of what is above and below you is more limited in a wider resolution.
Good job!
That was really fun and addicting!
I managed to get to layer -5, with a score of __1360__ (2 deaths). It's hard, but once you get used to it it's really fun!
I don't know if the enemies can predict movement, or they just angle their shots slightly randomly, but some enemies really know how to shoot me down :)
I love the atmosphere/flow of the whole game, you can just shoot, fight bosses, die, and keep going! I had a lot of fun with this, and I kinda sorta lost myself in the game for a bit :)
@noahro Damn, good job, my lowest layer was about -3
I'm a big fan of the visuals, the music and overall polish, and I would probably really enjoy the gameplay as well, if aiming was a bit easier. I think if you shot with the mouse, or with the arrow keys, it could've been a lot better. I would really like to see a post-jam version with improved aiming, because this game is really not bad. It's just difficult to get into.
