LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Rising Tide by VivianMochi 2022-04-05T06:00:10Z

I really like the ambient music. The sounds in general are nice. I think it's pretty original as well it certainly doesn't play much like mine sweeper. There is less massive brain calculations and more risky decision making. But that can make it more fun. Also this fits perfectly with the theme.

Weed it & Reap by JavaSaurus 2022-04-05T20:39:20Z

Art is nice and sound effects are funny. But maybe there were TOO many sound effects and voice lines. Sometimes they got in the way of the music. Still I liked them overall. The game play was decent, but I found using the scythe a bit clunky at times.

Secret Mission: Datastorm by Sentmoraap 2022-04-05T20:29:50Z

Surface mount device? The synth sound for the car engine is pretty cool and fits with the game. I also really like the bullet hell aspect. Dodging while driving is fun. But I got confused when I'd crash. I couldn't move. But there was no sign telling me game over or whatever. Still cool game.

Meteor Power by UkuleleFury 2022-04-05T20:22:52Z

Fits perfectly with the theme, sounds are nice, art is especially nice. I found it annoying how robots could only tend to solar panels they built. But I guess I just need a better strategy then letting one robot do everything at the start of the game. Good work this is very impressive.

Oh No My Trophy by zimny11 2022-04-07T08:02:03Z

Fun arcade game type thing, I like that it is more of a unique spin on your typical zombie game. You know, you're not just a dude shooting stuff. Which makes this unique and also more fun. It fits the theme very well and there is nice audio cues when you do things.

Berserk by NoobHereo 2022-04-05T20:14:46Z

Sword hitting things was kind of random I found. Sometimes hits wouldn't register properly and I had to swing twice. Though I did think it looks pretty nice. Also sad that there are no sounds. Oh well such is the way with a game jam.

Slime Rise by haztro 2022-04-04T09:09:22Z

The art is gorgeous. The sounds are nice. And the music is kind of out of the way but still sets a nice mood. I found the places where you can build houses to be a bit fiddly, that probably because of my own stupidity though. Nice game.

twicoban by mgmarlow 2022-04-05T06:11:46Z

Nice puzzles. Sort of reminds me of baba is you.

Stuck In Space by ThatRandomProgrammer 2022-04-07T08:09:12Z

Pico-8 so that's cool. Game play is brutally difficult but still fun. It's a bit annoying when I run out of fuel I just have to wait to die. I wish there was some quick restart button.

Venting Machine by EmberUshi 2022-04-04T09:03:29Z

1145m baby. It's fun but I feel like I'd like something more to do whilst the vending machine is mid air.

Glide by FloatingVertex 2022-04-05T06:06:25Z

I clicked because of solar panels on the wings. Idk solar planes are cool. And your game is cool. I though it could do with some sounds though. Maybe wind sounds could create a nice ambiance. Replay is cool obviously. I used speed from other planes to propel myself into the border of the map.

LD57 — Depths

The Void by Iluvatar 2025-04-07T22:48:13Z

Art looks really good, that combined with the ambient music creates a really nice mood. Story was decent, the ending felt a bit abrupt though. Also exiting the computer wasn't very intuitive for me, it took a long time to figure out those buttons on the bottom left weren't purely visual.

Archeologic by auxC 2025-04-10T03:25:56Z

Really nice sound design, it's super satisfying when you get a chain reaction of matches. Original idea with high quality assets. It would be good if the highlighted block has more contrast then it currently has. It can be difficult to see what you're about to pick up. Good job overall.

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-15T08:47:41Z

Wow I love how the chiming of the teeth sounds with the background ambient. The art is gorgeous as well. There are just some bugs to be ironed out, like if I don't hold right at the start I just fall and never get into the mouth. The camera was also weird sometimes.

Those are nitpicks though this is an immensely chill game, good job it's sick.

Into the Depths by pres2300 2025-04-07T08:33:56Z

Your sound effects are legendary bro. Really not much too the game-play though, feels like there should be some more variety in the platform placement or maybe environmental obstacles.

Nine Lives Deep by Simon Rahnasto 2025-04-16T10:39:23Z

Very cute game, love the art and the music. For some odd reason I really like the choice of fonts. I swear so many people can make beautiful games, then they fall flat when it comes to the UI, but this was was super coherent all the way through. I liked the cat vocaloid too it sounded pretty funny. I went through the whole game without using the dash :( I forgot about it and was wondering why it was so hard to dodge and keep anchor momentum.

Also, the linux build on the itch.io page is just the source code, not a build. Don't know if that's intentional.

Selective Drilling by Xwilarg 2025-04-07T09:22:34Z

A bit tedious. I wish there was some invulnerability after you get hit, because you can die super quickly. Could just be a skill issue cause I'm choosing bad upgrades.

Drilly's Journey by Alex Davies 2025-04-07T06:09:49Z

Cool idea, I liked it

A Quest To Bear by Fis 2025-04-09T03:44:06Z

Very polished, the gameplay, art, music, and sounds all fit together to make a really chill vibe. Lacking content a bit, but that's to be expected for a game jam game.

Riches From Below by negdo 2025-04-08T21:24:15Z

Damn WASD wasn't working for me on linux

Riches From Below by negdo 2025-04-08T21:48:53Z

@grizeldi yeah other games seem to work fine. I am using an odd window manager though. I'll try again and make sure it's focused properly

Riches From Below by negdo 2025-04-08T21:50:36Z

@grizeldi I tried again. It's really weird the buttons to interact with the UI work, just game controls don't work for me. That's a shame. Atleast I can rate you highly on visuals (dw I didn't rate the other categories).

DESCEND with CAUTION by LightningST 2025-04-07T23:52:42Z

The visual style and art are sick but the super floaty movement is a bit of a let down. Maybe it's intentional but it just annoyed me, I'd rather have precise movement for a game where it's so easy to die. Also the drums in your music drown out any melody, they're too loud!

DESCEND with CAUTION by LightningST 2025-04-08T00:36:42Z

@lightningst I'm using sennheiser hd560s they should be pretty accurate.

Sokobound by farzher 2025-04-08T21:34:29Z

Reminds me of some baba is you puzzles. Good job creating such difficult puzzles, adds a lot of playtime to the game without feeling like padding.

Sokobound by farzher 2025-04-08T21:35:45Z

But just having different levels doesn't really have anything to do with the theme.

Going Down (WEB) by ThatSommeS 2025-04-07T08:44:11Z

Props for getting something done in 6 hours. I wish the window which you needed to press space was better choreographed.

Mr. Money's Phenomenally Soggy Water Removal Romp by Rhoka 2025-04-09T04:08:54Z

Music and art was a highlight for me. Super chill vibe. Idk if you guys made the music or not but it really reminds me of Uyama Hiroto and Nujabes. That's a high tier complement. Also cool that there's a bit more actual game play associated then your typical clicker game. Don't have much criticism. Nice job.

Mr. Money's Phenomenally Soggy Water Removal Romp by Rhoka 2025-04-09T04:09:12Z

Oh yeah linux build works fine if you were wondering

DeepFrame 9 by JavaSaurus 2025-04-08T09:50:37Z

Very cool, don't know what that one guy was talking about the music slaps hard. Game is pretty fun too, the sound effect for when your charging up is annoying af though. IG you can just turn that off though. Super sick, only the visuals were a bit of a let down compared to the rest of the game.

DeepFrame 9 by JavaSaurus 2025-04-08T09:52:41Z

Actually do you have source code for this game available I'd love to download the music.

HatchLink - Your Pocket Pet Friend by SiENcE 2025-04-10T22:24:59Z

Very cool idea being able to share the games state with a link. The timers seem to run out too quickly for such a long game. Even though the shareable links is a pretty important feature I feel like this type of game would be better suited to be something you can have running in a designated window on your OS. Like that farming game which runs at the bottom of your screen. It wouldn't be on the web anymore, but I'm assuming all the logic to encode and decode the state of the egg/pet would still work. Also this is totally my fault but I couldn't see any of the special characters, guess I needed the font installed on my system. So yeah interesting tech demo but I'm sorry I don't have the patience to keep this thing alive.

Grandpet by deadroach 2025-04-12T21:31:21Z

I like the art and the bleak atmosphere you were able to create. I was a bit frustrated that I couldn't find any endings other than the couch. It didn't seem like there was that much stuff to interact with, yet there's 4 endings I haven't found? This is just a skill issue I suppose. Good job with the original take on the theme.

DOWNMOUSE by Martynas 2025-04-13T08:41:48Z

Very cool art style, the player life animations were funny as well. I got to 1306m idk if that's any good. Only criticism is that the sound effect are a bit abrasive. Nice job overall though.

abyss by A0405u 2025-04-10T10:02:00Z

Very impressive art and physics. I had fun messing around for about 20 minutes. I could've beat it trivially by build a big tower of stone right to the top. But I was trying to make a bridge out of wood using a stone pillar a bit to the right of the cave exit. I found building with wood to be very frustrating as they seemed to only sometimes join together. If building with wood was more viable this would be great.

DownThread by eyedromeda 2025-04-13T21:31:25Z

Good job with the multiple game modes it give the game quite a lot of content with a compo game. The game was fun, I thought the spider AI was especially cool. The way the smaller ones run away from you but the larger spiders go towards you faster as they get bigger. I agree with @ali-yagmur random upgrades would help make this really fun in future. If you throw in some variation to levels and enemies you could have an interesting take on the spelunky and noita roguelike formula.

Leap of Faith by Kyrios 2025-04-11T21:56:12Z

Hey I saw your post on the main forum page and had to check this game out. A linux build would've been nice given you guys are using unity. But I went the extra mile and played the game under a compatibility layer anyway.

Anyway very cool game. The art was gorgeous and the game play was really fun. Using the mouse felt good for music as it allowed for dodging through really tight gaps. The boss fight with the demon was awesome, that is by far the most impressive animation or piece of art in the game and the music slapped hard.

I did only play for a short time though, I wasn't actually able to beat the boss because the window didn't run in full screen. I dragged my mouse off it while trying to dodge and died. The fight was good though, the attacks were very well choreographed.

Very good job, I might play more of this later to see how close I was to the end and to see more sexy art.

Btw you guys are doing yourselves a disservice. You should rate more games to help put this in front of more people because it's great.

Leap of Faith by Kyrios 2025-04-12T00:38:04Z

@nomus Thanks. The linux build worked fine, and I was able to beat the demon. Love the woah jack end screen. It wasn't very clear that I was able to shoot the demon with spears though. 2025-04-12_12-34_1.png f7d.png

Sub-Silence by Pusheeneiro 2025-04-08T02:12:56Z

Strong atmosphere, using only the sonar is really cool. Same feedback as everyone else though, too much of a ceebs to complete the game due to difficulty.

Hooked by mira 2025-04-07T07:27:31Z

You really click-baited me with the catgirl... Nice job on the theme, also thank you for making it so you can dive faster when you have a longer rope. It'd be painful otherwise.

Just wish there was more to flesh out the idea, as it stands it's kinda boring because the game doesn't get a chance to get harder.

Depth Rhythm by CaptAndrey 2025-04-10T21:59:45Z

2025-04-11_09-56.pngLets go. Very fun original idea. For future improvements it might be cool if each hole can be assigned to a key. I could see how maybe dragging the mouse around could be frustrating, but it wasn't too bad for me. People were talking about rythm, idk sounds didn't really seem to be synced up to any type of beat. I just did my timing based on the top bar.

Bungee Spelunker by EvilScotsman 2025-04-10T07:29:23Z

Thick. Would be great if there were some obstacles though or something else to add some variation and challenge.

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T21:47:16Z

Thanks for including easy mode, it made the games difficulty tolerable. Still I couldn't even get past the first section, that teleporter is brutal. I guess it's supposed to be a rage game, but I wish the difficulty ramped up a bit slower.

I read your comment on my game, yeah it's quite funny we had the same idea with different game play.

Escape from the Depths of Hell by yohadams 2025-04-07T08:11:49Z

I get the difficulty comes from the AD mashing, but it feels a bit pointless. I fell like this sorta wants to be a rhythm game, that would be cool.

Break Down! by hulien22 2025-04-13T22:06:12Z

Very fun I played for about 10 minutes before I got bored. The visuals were simple and very clean, and I enjoyed the music even on loop. The upgrade and reload ui don't really match the rest of the aesthetic though. I also wish those ui would move down once you cleared out a large open space.

Break Down! by hulien22 2025-04-13T22:06:52Z

Oh yeah +rep for bevy

Loop Dungeon by retrome 2025-04-07T09:00:31Z

Graphics are awesome. I did turn on the crt filter but I think they look way better without. Game-play wasn't really my cup of tea. I got how it works, it just becomes really repetitive after a couple levels. Still kept me entertained for a couple minutes which is better than a lot of jam games. Good job, definitely one of my favorites so far.

Deep Underground by Thrawn911 2025-04-08T12:38:22Z

The slowness of the game builds a nice atmosphere. Honestly, it's just not fun though. You pretty much just sit there and do nothing. I still played for a decent amount of time though because I wanted to see one of the creatures. Still I'm not dissing. You did a good job on everything else.

Timmy's House by GroseilleDodue 2025-04-07T22:23:51Z

The opening is really cool, and the game has a strong ambiance. The difficulty of the game gives a decent amount of playtime compared to the small level. Game is really solid but like @ssiannas said I don't really see the relation to the theme sorry.

Vanity Check by NoNumbersGames 2025-04-08T12:29:42Z

Nice take on the theme, it was cool figuring out the premise. I wasn't a fan of the visuals. but the dynamic music switching was nice.

Squirrel swirl by rucksack 2025-04-14T22:49:29Z

Your game is really fun and the music fits well, but I don't feel like it's core mechanics are explained very well. I'm confused if sprawling the path out is a good strategy, because wouldn't it be better just to have a short path to all the core resources so the squirrels can run back and fourth faster? Or do the resources become more valuable further out? Also it was hard to understand what the tower upgrades did just from their icon. Still, I enjoyed the time I spent playing.

BoP by Tobias Kiehnlein 2025-04-10T22:12:30Z

Nice, I guess the spiral staircase just makes sense for going down. But I like how you could see the upcoming obstacles on the bottom half of your screen. So yeah I enjoyed the gameplay and I like the art too. The score seemed to work intermittently though, so that was annoying. Also the AI music was noticeably off, though it did bring the vibe up a bit. Still, I'm sure a better track could've been found on freesound.org

Eurydive! by Jack Turpitt 2025-04-11T21:41:40Z

Cute art and chill music tastefully contrasts the theme. You can have a chill game about rescuing souls from hell right? However, I did find it annoying when the character bounces off the wall. It makes dodging really hard when you are trying to bring souls back to the surface.

Subconscious Abyss by ugly_robot 2025-04-12T00:57:28Z

I beat the game on crisis mode, cool idea. The music combined with the visuals makes an uncanny vibe for the game, but it works really well. The game-play itself isn't really related to therapy, initially I was looking at the question and answers and wondering why the person kept giving such cop out answers. But it was nice seeing solution for each of her problems at the end. That was confusing but I guess I understood it eventually. Overall nice job.

Mine Goblin by maximevincent 2025-04-15T23:26:41Z

Wow this looks gorgeous. Very good job on the whole visual style and the goofy music and sfx to go along with the gameplay. Maybe the UI feels slightly out of place though, it's too sharp compared to the rest of the game.

The game play was really fun, for a while I just tried to go deeper and get higher scores. There are some obstacles which are really annoying which I always got stuck on, like that stupid rock at half way. Bit of a skill issue, but having such a hard obstacle half way (which is already pretty hard to get to) really breaks the flow of the game for me. This is also a bit of a skill issue for me though. I also fell through the floor once I finally got to the end, so I didn't get a high score :(

Mine Goblin by maximevincent 2025-04-16T01:05:56Z

@braeden I'm pretty sure it was the patch version.

Deepsweeper by dan-whiffing 2025-04-07T08:47:01Z

Your itch link it broken

Deepsweeper by dan-whiffing 2025-04-07T21:02:25Z

Cool take on minesweeper, definitely one of the most fun games I've played from the jam so far. The control scheme worked good for me. Only criticism is that maybe an ambient background track would be nice, because as it is the relation to the theme is pretty weak. But a brooding underwater type track could really sell it.

Deepsweeper by dan-whiffing 2025-04-08T00:35:37Z

Yeah thanks for adding the music. It really lifts the vibe, you should opt back into the mood category.

Rooted Deep by DzejPi 2025-04-07T22:31:35Z

The graphics are sick and waking number go up is really fun. I did experience a bug where you teleport a little bit, also I think some music would majorly increase the vibe.

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-11T00:47:27Z

Great story, visuals, and music. I liked how the music changed at some point as I got deeper. The music also reminded me a bit of some of the tracks from the steins gate vn if any of you guys played that. High tier complement because the steins gate vn has some tense ass moments and this game recreated that perfectly.

I think everything made sense eventually, but I found some of the hints misleading (poetry). Also the answer that poetry leads you to doesn't work with a space. But I won't re-iterate that criticism to much since many other people have already gave you guys detailed feedback for that.

Very nice game, one of the closest to a real game I played this jam.

Deep Hour by Cammin 2025-04-10T07:20:07Z

The art is very nice, player is especially good his animations are smooth af. Music went good with the vibe of the game as well. Gameplay was aight but mashing space-bar became a drag, I wish there was a way to mash faster. Maybe mouse 1 and 2?

Substratum Extractor by crow_seeds 2025-04-10T22:54:51Z

I made it to the end very funny and good original idea. It's a shame this doesn't have many ratings, you should maybe make a post on the main page or try to get someone play it on stream because people will love it.

Blip by osh.studio 2025-04-08T13:11:17Z

Player animations look super smooth, good job on that. All the art looks good actually. Gameplay is fun, I just don't really see the relation to the theme.

Painball by AmberFall92 2025-04-08T00:27:55Z

Really cohesive, the art and sound effects are super nice. Game is fun as well you can't really go wrong with pinball. SFX is really loud compared to music though.

Painball by AmberFall92 2025-04-08T00:32:45Z

Also satan sitting in the corner malding pressing the buttons is pretty funny.

SLITHER by slimetrash 2025-04-08T00:00:05Z

This would make an excellent rage game. The visuals are very cohesive, I like the palette you used. The sound effects are nice but it's really missing music. Still, I'd say a tutorial would be nice. I can't tell if the game is ridiculously hard or I just suck.

SLITHER by slimetrash 2025-04-08T00:03:23Z

@slimetrash mb it was really quiet by defualt. It's good, you should make it more obvious it's there.

The Minotaur's Maze by maxkaemmerer 2025-04-07T22:14:05Z

Very fun while it lasted, we were able to complete it pretty quickly though. I feel like there should be a hard mode where touching the Minotaur resets the game. That would be a very easy improvement to make the game last longer.

Hole Crawler by MSD 2025-04-07T08:38:50Z

Unfortunately, the game crashed on me. There should be a way to skip the opening sequence. The text scrolling effect was a really nice touch though, I just wish that level of polish was applied to the rest of the game.

Hole Crawler by MSD 2025-04-07T08:40:13Z

Also sorely lacking music which is unfortunate

Hole Crawler by MSD 2025-04-07T09:08:52Z

Oh I see you can click to move through the starting sequence quicker that works. The game seemed to work better when I tried on chromium, or maybe it's cause I stopped running full screen.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-07T20:50:06Z

@iluvatar Thanks for the feedback. We realized pretty late on that using the pizza box to block projectiles didn't really make any sense. We decided to keep it as is because we thought the current game play would be more intuitive.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-07T21:09:43Z

@andruid Thanks for the feedback. I added a link to the itch.io page in the description for full screen support.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-07T22:16:25Z

@andruid Oh nice. I also did LD55, just didn't finish on time.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T02:02:14Z

@amberfall92 True, the decision to not have a proper loose condition was quite arbitrary. It would probably make more sense if there was because it's a little confusing what the point of the game is rn until you reach the end for the first time.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T06:51:29Z

@bizzybee Thanks for the detailed feedback. Everyone on the team thought the roads looked weird in a different way lol. The perspective doesn't really make sense yeah.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T09:39:56Z

@javasaurus Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it. Lots of people are saying it reminds them of early 2000's stuff lol. I definitely see it, I suppose it's the art style; you typically see a lot more pixel art now vs drawn.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T13:05:14Z

@osh-studio haha you're on the money, it was supposed to look like a prius.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T13:14:42Z

@vera-stepanyan You might be cooking with that idea. It was definitely a bit of a throw having no proper loose condition for the game (only a bad ending). But the idea to gain back lives is really cool, and might allow room for comebacks.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-10T21:46:06Z

@captandrey Exactly lol, hell is not bound by common sense nor logic according to us.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-10T22:14:09Z

@sience Yeah I should implement that if I do more work on the game after rating is done. For now you just gotta jump.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-10T23:57:51Z

@xpoho 2025-04-11_11-56.png Almost! There's a harder ending

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-11T22:32:22Z

@sylf Yes the game is definitely lacking content. We initially planned to do multiple circles of hell, and have some enemies which shoot at you. We had a bit of extra time to implement all this but our artists wouldn't have time to make so many high quality assets.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-12T05:31:01Z

@nomus Oh yeah I completely forgot about that. Originally there was supposed to be gaps and change in heights of the roads. I might actually add that once rating ends because it should be pretty simple to implement.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-13T01:44:51Z

@yorsh Yeah the tutorial is pretty shoehorned in. Unfortunately our game probably pissed off a lot of people who didn't realise they could jump over the obstacles on the road.

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-14T12:11:25Z

@lllarso Yeah the projectiles can be too difficult sometimes. You pretty much need to have a lucky run to get to the "good ending". We were trying to fix that but ran out of time, so currently the projectiles just spawn around the edges of the screen and go in random directions. Thanks for playing!

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-17T23:13:14Z

@oeuegha The shield isn't supposed to take damage when you reflect a projectile with it (even though that makes no sense). Does this happen consistently? Because I'm unable to replicate it in the web builds.

Perhaps your mistaking the sound effect that gets played when you reflect a projectile for a hit sound?

Dive into the Hive Mind by BalimaarTheBassFish 2025-04-08T07:17:07Z

Pretty cool. The most fun I had was when I ran out of ammo and had to schmoove past all the enemies, I of course died on the boss stage on level 3 after that though. I thought the player animation was funny, reminded me of some of the goofy background animation from smiling friends. The game looks good, but all the assets including the text look pretty blurry in full screen.

Dive into the Hive Mind by BalimaarTheBassFish 2025-04-08T07:34:41Z

@bizzybee I was playing the web build so I guess that explains the weirdness.

Dive into the Hive Mind by BalimaarTheBassFish 2025-04-08T08:11:42Z

@balimaarthebassfish The procedural generation is sick. I didn't realise initially because I didn't read the description. Yeah +rep for that.

D.E.P.T.H. - Door Evaluation Protocols & Testing Hub by Sylf 2025-04-11T22:28:13Z

@texugo same lol. I'm running linux

D.E.P.T.H. - Door Evaluation Protocols & Testing Hub by Sylf 2025-04-11T22:29:49Z

Good job very funny game. Also very creative to just make a capsule for the player, cause it works with the game and saved the team from doing a whole lot of art. 2025-04-12_10-24.png

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-08T07:04:34Z

Nice intuitive controls, it's sort of a rage game. But it still feels fair and fun. Still I rage quit after about 8 minutes. Good job, music would be nice though.

Lock Smith by Flying Butter Studio 2025-04-07T07:24:46Z

Very cool puzzles and interesting gameplay. Was a bit confused by the link to the theme.

DUCKDEPF by Jona Scheidig 2025-04-08T03:29:30Z

I only played briefly, so my best score was about 1300m. The music is bumpin, and the art isn't that bad considering you bashed it in your own description. Yeah the game is really fun, but I wish the death animation thing wasn't so long cause the game is really hard. Good job this is a cool ass game. Oh yeah the bonk death sound is funny nice.

DUCKDEPF by Jona Scheidig 2025-04-08T09:37:09Z

@potatobrain Oh sweet that was my only issue, guess it was just a skill issue. I didn't say in my original comment but it would be good if the track continued playing after you died, it's too good to be interrupted. Did you make the music by the why?

DUCKDEPF by Jona Scheidig 2025-04-08T10:39:40Z

@potatobrain Sick, I just meant was it made during the jam. But @hypixi is on your team so I guess so. That's really impressive.

DUCKDEPF by Jona Scheidig 2025-04-09T02:00:54Z

Got to 3600m lets go. It gets so fast

Sticky's Aquarium by Salaro 2025-04-08T03:37:36Z

Very cool fishing mini game, I'm not sure I've seen one like it. I do agree with you though it would be better if there was more variety of fish. Overall it was very polished and fun, good job.

Deep Drop by bad_fetus 2025-04-15T08:35:15Z

This is pretty fun, the charged jump was easy to understand with the sound effect. It worked well and when I died it felt like a skill issue and not a game issue so that's good. I really didn't enjoy the music or the art though. Maybe it was intentional cause this game is supposed to piss me off, but the platforms having the same texture made them hard to distinguish against each other. The music started off strong with the drums, but when the bass and lead started it just gave me a weird uncanny feeling like I was listening to something in a dream. Maybe that was what you were going for but it's just annoying to listen to. So maybe a music volume control would be good so I can still listen to the jump charge noise.

That was a major rant but do remember the actual game part of your game is fun. Outside of the jam this game would be great with a bit more polish.

The Adventures of Wormington by Logan_Core 2025-04-10T01:23:33Z

Very nice art, sound effects are satisfying too. Overall very polished. I played your game for like 15 mins which is pretty rare for me while I'm rating game.

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-08T13:04:12Z

Very chill, graphics and music tie into that really well. I was chilling for about 10 minutes, really entertaining. For most of that time I forgot about unlocking deeper floors as well. Nice job.

Wishing Evil by andruid 2025-04-07T08:17:07Z

I got up to 106. I think its fun, but it should have a sensitivity slider given it's an aim game.

The Core by willianfhs 2025-04-13T08:32:15Z

Really difficult and fun game, I also like the way the music gets more intensive over time. This would be great with a high score leader board.

Idk don't really have any criticisms. Solid game

Ciggy by kenevil1 2025-04-08T21:18:25Z

Fun game, decent job on a 3d bullet hell type game which can be pretty hard to pull off.

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-10T03:17:54Z

Like others have said the hit boxes could definitely be more generous. Also the direction the player is facing seems to reset to always face in one direction, that bugged me a bit. Otherwise fun game, adding the scoreboard definitely helps keep me engaged to try beat other peoples high scores.

Endless Depth by Dywanix 2025-04-08T09:44:32Z

Pretty fum

Core Breach by joniv 2025-04-07T07:46:37Z

Was a bit confused by the momentum at first but that was honestly just a skill issue on my part. Really cool interpretation of the theme, would love to see this level of game design combined with some music and art in the future.

Meanepth by rensun 2025-04-08T12:08:29Z

Unfortunately the web build wouldn't run for me. Could play because no linux build :(

Edge Digger by Arthur Tang 2025-04-09T02:55:12Z

Nice game. The sound effects for breaking the blocks was really satisfying, and the game had a strong coherent theme. However, the game play seemed slightly disjointed to me the way you had to juggle 3 things at once. It made the game hectic and fun, but I didn't really understand what entering the codes did. Seems more like a skill issue, so good job.

Duplo by CrozzY 2025-04-11T22:09:06Z

Lovely art. I was able to (sort of?) figure out what was going on, found it hart to keep the tree alive because of how clunky the controls were. Having to click on the player then where you want to go is very counter intuitive and a simple point and click system would've worked far better (because the current implementation seems to just not work sometimes as well). Also sticks are very difficult to pick up. Sunlight should probably be able to be replenished faster.

Nice idea though, it feels like the execution was like 80% there your team might've just ran low on time.

Descent by Subsolar 2025-04-07T07:06:04Z

Nice game bro. Satan fight was was fun. The control scheme was really annoying though, using w to jump and space to glide just felt off. I think it would be possible to combine those two keys into one.

Nice art as well. Sometimes I wall textures misaligned though.

Treasure Down Under by cmaks 2025-04-08T07:22:02Z

Yeah seems like you ran out of time quite unfortunate. Could be really cool with more content and sounds. For future iteration I'd also make it so you can build up momentum while grappling. Good job, you were definitely cooking.

RepliCore by Nick Halstead 2025-04-10T03:39:21Z

Core mechanics work well. I wish you guys had more time to get into some harder puzzles though. Also, I agree with @whole-garbage-sale the end of the level is too slow. The dialog could've been done without as well. The way the game slowly ramps up the difficulty is actually a really good tutorial on it's own, all you really need is to tell the player the controls.

Super BAD Boy! by basic_eagles 2025-04-07T23:45:49Z

This game is pretty 420blazeit. The art that's finished is good, and the music would help to build a really tough vibe. But it's ruined by how sluggish the character is.

A Well to Wonderland by Mathieu Chougui 2025-04-09T23:37:08Z

Really fun gameplay, decent music and art too. I enjoyed the challenge, and everything worked really well once I got past the initial hurdle of figuring out the controls. The glide control being a toggle instead of hold seemed pretty counter intuitive. The game is missing some polish here and there as well, like not having a game over screen to see your score, and the buttons not highlighting when you over. Those are nitpicks though, you got the core down really well and made a fun game. Good job.

Undertetris by Rinevard 2025-04-07T21:16:52Z

Cool unique idea. Detection for the pieces to fill lines seemed a bit hit and miss though.

Layered by Caer 2025-04-08T03:22:12Z

Very nice, of course your getting +rep for rust. Own engine as well? That's impressive. I tried to use bevy for my teams last ludum dare and wasted so much time implementing trivial shit. Anyway your game is good, nice music and sfx as well. I just wish there was more of it, it's only like 1 minute long.

Eyeron Deep by salty_grndpa 2025-04-08T02:56:07Z

Is this unfinished? Cause I didn't get the point, like I'm supposed to collect something for my ship or fight the vladkraken?

Depths of Dreams by MasterFate 2025-04-12T05:50:39Z

Jet pack audio was a bit abrasive. The core gameplay was fun for a while, but I didn't find any checkpoints for gas very high up. So I eventually found loop of collecting stuff a bit repetitive and stopped. Still had me entertained for a solid 10 minutes and I like the art so good job.

Down the Rabbit Hole by Mirinae 2025-04-09T03:09:11Z

I played a bit, thanks for providing a linux build. Like everyone else is saying the art is phenomenal. I liked the under-tale like turn based fighting system with the little bullet hell bit, I wish the music changed during that though. Only got up to the second fight, I stopped playing because I was frustrated that I couldn't end the fight with any of the "interact options" I just had to fight them. Also the swearing was a bit excessive at times. Overall very nice though, be especially proud of the character design.

Down the Rabbit Hole by Mirinae 2025-04-09T03:11:24Z

To my last point, I guess you can't reason to push forward the narrative. Idk. It was just weird to have the option and have it do nothing is all.

Cthonic Depths by Lazyanttu 2025-04-07T07:05:10Z

Really unique gameplay for a gamejam, the wall of text on how to play hurt a little but once I was past that it was a lot of fun.

DungeonDescent by thisyc 2025-04-10T04:05:18Z

2025-04-10_16-01.png Good job, very cool take on a match game. I wasn't expecting to like it from the screenshots but I played until level 100. I found it a bit easy, but I didn't try the harder difficulties so I'm sure that would help. The biggest let down is probably the art. It would be OK but it looks like you don't have linear texture filtering enabled, so the pixels don't appear very sharp.

Laying Pipe by C0SMIC 2025-04-07T23:40:00Z

Hey the game is crashing for me on chromium and brave. Also why'd you opt out of humor? The title is pretty funny.

Race Through the Depths by Cure 2025-04-09T03:35:53Z

The movement is surprisingly tight for a game jam game. Nice job

The Depths Below the Tower by Kseon 2025-04-08T12:21:06Z

Very nice art, the UI looks really clean as well. The extra features like saving, dialog history, and skipping adds a lot of polish to the game. Nice yob.

To The Core by izzqz 2025-04-08T12:43:15Z

The art looks nice, and the game play is simple but fun. Music would've been a nice addition. Some sort of procedural generation would've been nice too to give variety between runs.

SIRTET by Airgameboys 2025-04-07T08:23:33Z

Based Pico 8. Very cool take on tetris and the theme. Really hard to wrap my head around though, but that's just a skill issue.

Poor Julio... by Sayeg 2025-04-07T23:01:30Z

Good, I liked the twist at the end it was really touching. If this game were just a little bit longer I might've actually felt like crying irl. Good job, liked the attempts at humor as well.

LD59 — Signal

What's that signal? by Local Minimum 2026-04-22T12:02:14Z

Nice poem, and I like the text shader and psychedelic feel. Imagine how vomit inducting this game would be in VR haha.

Deep In Debt by Echo Team 2026-04-24T22:30:41Z

The treasure was a bit sparse on such a big map, and I thought the lack of music was a shame, even some quick music from Kevin McLeod or freesound or something really would'be improved the experience. Still interesting idea, and the ship model is quite cool if you remade it from scratch.

Also it'd be nice to have an itch link. The ldjam player is a bit small.

Signals Intelligence by blubberquark 2026-04-22T12:20:55Z

This seems like an interesting idea and quite impressive scope. I like your pixel art too. Still, I really could've benefited from a tutorial. I didn't understand the win or loose conditions and found the signals intelligence completely enigmatic.

Tiny Signal Lost by Strega 2026-04-21T04:52:59Z

Wow very polished game, it felt very cohesive. I really like the art and levels, though I found the floaty character controls frustrating at times. The timer is a nice touch, my final time was 12:30.

That Italian February Week by sbeif 2026-04-25T13:21:02Z

The gameplay is simple to understand, but you've managed to design some really interesting levels. I think it would've been great to have an undo button like in baba is you, but I suppose that would've been pretty difficult to implement. Nice work

A Short Flight by Rongo Matane 2026-04-23T00:51:33Z

Wow impressive graphics, music, and scope for 72 hours. I'm not a huge fan of the linearity though. At the start I went to the island with the red statue first, then traveled in reverse order before finding where I was supposed to go first. Obviously when I landed at each island I hadn't activated the quest first so I nothing happened. That's still a minor gripe good job.

TellyBuddy by ColeSlaughter 2026-04-22T06:11:24Z

Congrats, you guys made a creepy and funny game at the same time, I'm sure filming was a lot of fun. I did reach the end and I enjoyed it nice job.

The Sound Store by Jejkobb 2026-04-24T10:17:31Z

Wow lovely art and sound design. I like how the customers have a distinct sound but don't necessarily use the sound of the wave they would actually produce (because it would probably sound like ass). Having online highscores is great too.

Even though I also made a game about combining waves the hard customers felt more like trial and error. It works since there's no time pressure, but doesn't feel that satisfying once you get it right. Perhaps I'm stupid but the patterns created by combining waves with arbitrary phase, magnitude, and frequency can be quite chaotic. I suppose that's what the hints are for, but mine didn't seem to converge on the solution.

Effigy of the Sky Lords by Purrseus 2026-04-24T10:38:19Z

Selkie is batting bruh. Also the graphics and quest were great (I only did best ending), but the sfx could be a bit harsh on the ears at times.

Beat the signal by Avzgui 2026-04-23T11:38:07Z

I had a bug where the audio seemed to be desynced with the map by a couple hundred ms, but I was still able to play. I enjoyed the song (bass line was a bit off though) and I liked the visual style. I think the tolerance for being in the zones was maybe a little tight (atleast I felt) compared to the tolerance they represented visually. Still, fun little game, nice job.

Kuiper Space Rescue by Saering 2026-04-22T04:34:44Z

Wow nice art and atmosphere, it was fun for the short runtime.

Fission Quest by Jahwffrey 2026-04-25T01:25:23Z

Wow impressive amount of stuff going on. Very funny good job.

Cleared To Land by JHax 2026-04-23T08:50:19Z

Nice game I'm guessing battling the controls is supposed to be part of the experience so I don't really have complaints about that. I do wish you had to land less planes in a level though, I was doing level 3 and I swore I'd landed quite a few but then more spawned. Once you've figured out a strategy for a level completing it all the way feels like a chore cause of how the planes tend to mope around outside your signal range even when they're circling a runway. Also the mr bean voices for the pilots were quite funny nice job.

Goobers by Alopar 2026-04-23T11:07:52Z

Simple but fun, and everything is well polished. The leader board adds good replayability too, nice job.

Sleep ArthonBru, Sleep! by hotaloca 2026-04-22T09:00:09Z

This is a cool concept but it really didn't work for me. I don't understand, it seems like what's a good and evil note randomly changes when I reconnect the same block. Idk I feel like I'm playing it wrong even though I read the description.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-21T05:04:22Z

@babyfoodstudios Glad you enjoyed it! Also I forgot to add the music is by Kevin Macleod on this page. I'll add that now.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-21T09:05:10Z

@matt-giuca I'm glad it sounds like you enjoyed it even for a short while, and very valid criticisms. I mostly omitted rotation due to time, and admit not all my level designs are stellar. There is a hint you can get in the pause menu for each level that might've helped. The problem was the output wave on that level is twice the frequency of the input wave.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-21T22:05:27Z

@matt-giuca @laurlehepuu @jamope Great idea with having the oscilloscope not need to be a physical part of the board. I think I'll try expand on this idea after rating, so I'll add a mode where you can probe the circuit and remove the oscilloscope building.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-22T06:15:49Z

@hotaloca I'm glad you like it! The factorio idea is cool too, I've been thinking of how I can bring something unique for the automation genre for a while.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-22T07:50:24Z

@strega Thanks for the feedback, I added controls to the description to help people find the hints and the level selector in the pause menu.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-24T12:15:36Z

@bumble Glad you liked it! Yeah designing levels was hard, I always had to make sure there was space for oscilloscope, and of course I couldn't properly account for all the outside of the box thinking people do. It's been very interesting seeing the possible solutions people have posed to the puzzles, but didn't have the space to do it.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-25T13:28:56Z

@caer Wow thanks I'm glad you liked it. I tried to introduce concepts gradually to not need a tutorial, but I think a tutorial would be helpful. Right now the game might drive people away in the first levels if they aren't the type of person that needs to play around in desmos once in a while.

Sine Factory by oxnh 2026-04-26T06:46:47Z

@blubberquark You can pan the camera with WASD, I get that's unintuitive cause you can do everything else with the mouse. Yes I missed the discontinuities. Yes I wanted to add filters. Yes I should probably do away with constraining space to allow for more creative solutions, and more room to problem solve. Thanks for the honest feedback, I'll consider these if I continue improving (or remaking) the game post jam.

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-24T12:56:47Z

Really nice art and integration with the theme. The window for hitting the note on the beat seems quite difficult, or maybe it's a skill issue, or maybe I'm having problem playing offbeat. I think the first track has a lot of syncopation that makes it difficult.

Mixed Signals by lloydlobo 2026-04-22T05:20:27Z

Cool idea, it looks great too, but sorely lacking some sound effects. It could be interesting to hear the waveform, but that can be a bit harsh on the ears I suppose. It would also be nice if the skip button works, or there was a no die mode. Because I wanted to see all the waves but couldn't due to dying.

Infrequency by Caer 2026-04-21T04:16:29Z

This game looks and sounds great, the drone sound and the sounds when you broadcast and change frequency sound great together. The music writes itself in a sense. I like the feeling of being a 2d character exploring a 3d world, but it makes for some confusing gameplay. It definitely took me a while to figure out how to reach the goal after this first level, I think I eventually figured it out because I was able to finish quite a few levels.

Lost Crab in the Great Sand Labyrinth by Alpaca 2026-04-22T04:26:09Z

Really fun game with good levels and controls. I like the music that played when you switch rooms around too, I wish I could listen to that when I'm in crab mode instead of the drone.

The Message by Matt Giuca 2026-04-21T10:43:04Z

I launched a dark forest strike to destroy the new world this game really made me FEEL like a trisolaran. Really cool concept, if you don't get my reference I'm talking about the book three body problem, it's about this sort of stuff it's cool.

It's unfortunate that the puzzles kind of solve themselves. But I think this idea could be turned into something great. Perhaps I'll have to try make a game like this it's so cool.

ANALOG TUNE OVERRIDE by Arryos 2026-04-21T10:58:22Z

This is a very good experience. The music is good, the assets look good, the sounds affects are satisfying and not too repetitive, and the levels have a pretty good design too. I did find one level slightly annoying though. I think it's level 8, where the shields of the enemy seem to change colour when I click? Idk it wasn't too bad. Very nice game.

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-24T12:10:48Z

I got 1350 lets go. Simple yet fun game. For expansion I'd love to see a melody with the music and maybe some more insane projectiles like lazers. I was picking up super hexagon vibes and feel like this could live up to that. Also, because this is a score based game a leaderboard would've been awesome. I'm a sucker for bullet hells so great job.

The Dark Spots in Space by babyfoodstudios 2026-04-21T09:28:17Z

As someone else said the slow messages was a major turnoff, perhaps just clicking once could reveal all the text? Though I suppose the audio is helpful sometimes. That was annoying, but I still found myself invested in the story for around 15 minutes. I didn't finish obviously but I may come back once that is sorted out. I like the ambiance too nice job.

Catching the Signal by MeeRebane 2026-04-22T01:47:36Z

This feels quite good to control, I haven't rated many games but I think this is the most fun game I've played. When I played the first level I couldn't help but laugh when I crashed my drone into the ground at a trillion km/h. I like the pixel art too, but the font looks like it isn't using nearest scaling. Yeah the font doesn't look great.

Traffic Jam by MountainGoose 2026-04-21T10:22:43Z

Hey I like your music, very chill. Gameplay is functional and that's great but it is slightly unfortunate that one solution can solve each level.

Wavelatro by ForsakenAginor 2026-04-22T05:06:50Z

Very fun and pretty game. The sound effects are great too, but the music is kind of basic. It's chill but something more engaging would be great and truly make this slap.

Peace : 165 by OasisGreen 2026-04-24T12:37:11Z

I liked the art that was there, but it's a shame that the character and birds are floating. The atmosphere and idea were solid too. I did find the signals too subtle for me to tell the birds the right story. Is it the sound they make?

What's Wrong With My Keyboard? by Ch1k0_9kA 2026-04-24T11:04:18Z

Interesting game, the art is great. The music pairs well too. I do think this could really benefit from a tutorial though. It's a bit confusing what you have to do for the first couple minutes, even after reading the game description.

Signal Rush by Pavel.Cherepanov 2026-04-22T09:09:22Z

Nice attempt for compo, unfortunate you ran out of time. Did you have any minigame planned for the signal metronome timer thing? I think that would be cool if it had a minigame similar to the stardew valley fishing minigame.

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-24T09:59:11Z

Nice clean graphics and new mechanics to keep things interesting. It would've been great to see a high score mode with an emphasis on speed and maybe with leader-boards for replayability after the campaign.

Glitched Signal by Jamope_ 2026-04-22T01:38:03Z

Wow very nice art and sound, Reminds me slightly of oxenfree and the playdead games. If you guys ever expand on the idea I think solving some light puzzles with the radio would be good, maybe some platforming too. I will say the character animation seemed a bit stiff, still nice work I enjoyed it.

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-22T09:24:48Z

Nice game but I did find it difficult to find the beat. For expansion it would be interesting to have to play two drums in the same beat, or have to play off beat notes.

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-21T10:11:19Z

When I was playing the game I found it really annoying how you had to hide inside a log every 5 seconds. I get that's the whole integration with the theme, but I'd honestly rather play without it. I did really like the art though well done.

DSP Tuner by pyroxdd 2026-04-21T10:48:40Z

Hey the web build doesn't run for me. Is this everyone or a me issue?

Signal wave path, NEW VERSION by valb soares 2026-04-23T11:28:24Z

This game had a great ambience but I couldn't get anything to trigger. I sweeped through the frequencies slowly and quickly near the radio coming through the floor and the tv a dozen times and I didn't hear any beep.
