The slowness of the game builds a nice atmosphere. Honestly, it's just not fun though. You pretty much just sit there and do nothing. I still played for a decent amount of time though because I wanted to see one of the creatures. Still I'm not dissing. You did a good job on everything else.
Great atmosphere, audios and graphics. Really wish there are some checkpoints.
Really eerie vibes, that fit the theme really well. Good job!
This game got me like cavediversbelike.jpg frfr
I found the movement sound really unpleasant — though maybe that was intentional. The descent felt a bit too long, with not much changing, so it was mostly just waiting. But the game looks pretty cool!
I really love the retro 3D pixel art-style! Combined with the eerie sound & music, it creates a great atmosphere!
The water sounds were really nerve wrecking and loud, it did feel claustrofobic. Would have been nice if there was a bit more gameplay.
Guys I'm not sure why but I think Anomaly Group may not be developing games and that might be a cover-up.
On a serious note, very cool little atmospheric game. The graphics and overall claustrophobia created a really good vibe, though I have to agree with other commenters that some of the noises were pretty earsplitting. The water droplets were nice though. Had me tensing and ready for anything the further down I went, even before the other noises began!
Played to the end to see the "creatures". As a result, there was one sitting near the last blue stone, but he didn't attack me even though I was specifically shining the light in his face. I suppose it is bug)
There's something about having to go straight down without being able to see what's under you...
A bit slow but reasonably spooky
I expected the monster to look a bit like the walls of the cave - (there are little yellow specks, and from time to time I was afraid I was shining a light at eyes when in fact it was just the cave wall).
I think if you leaned into that idea for the monster design, where it sort of blends into the surroundings, it would really enhance the horror element (and rather than making the monster's anger/lose condition instant, it could take a second or two so there is some time for the player to react while they "find" where it is embedded in the cave wall).
Absolutely nailed the environment!
Deeply unsetting. Started seeing faces in the walls.
Spooooo**oooooky** :ghost:
