Very awesome idea and very well made, one of the best. One little thing: there were a few times I press esc try to go back to normal view from map dragging view, and I quit the game...
Super clever concept and polished game! All that just for trick-or-treat, that is so adorable.
Never played something quite like this before, one of the funniest game I've played in LD45. There is a tiny bug that sometimes you cannot put item on available block, you have to click on something else then click back to do it.
Wow, I actually had an game idea of dashing to counter attack as well! Good Job!
Very interesting walking animation. Cute game.
Found my everything as well. >_<
It has some really cool visual effects. The idea of having missile explode right at where you aimed surely increase the difficulty and fun of the game. Would be better if there are more feedback when hitting enemies, such as SFX and screen shake.
SUPER COOL shader.
The movement could be better, but I understand. Some time, things just don't work.
Not a big fan of clickers but this really got my curiosity.
Easy to figure out the funny game mechanism, can be quite challenging when two different color bubbles appear together.
You probably considered this but maybe assign three different keys for different color bubbles would make the game easier?
And very interesting endings, I wonder how many different ending are there?
I like the intro music. Concept is nice, and it feels good when I cut a tree. Enemies are too strong for me, but they are probably suppose to be like that. What is the character I am controlling? Is it a man in a hood?
I probably saw better coding in other games but.. YOU ARE A GENIUS.
Update 10/07/2019 10:01: 11 ratings? Seriously, this one deserves much more attention...
Awesome graphics and the shooting feels good. ps: totally agree with @winslow about the magnify glass thing.
Cute artstyle and interesting concept of gluing atoms at yourself.
I wonder why when I got bigger, the hitting circle for good atoms seems to be larger than myself and hitting circle for bad atoms is still as big as my myself.
How does the password works? And when I throw ink balls it seems I can jump infinitely? That is how I get to the scene after the password puzzle, is that suppose to be like that?
And you REALLY should have kept the rating for graphics on.
Very polished game. Great idea for drawing character and enemies myself. Control feels smooth and nice.
Quite difficult for me once the enemies start to generate.
Interesting concept...
I wonder why it end like this though.
Thank you for your feedback, I found a bug in my code that might have caused the speed problem, and I just fixed it
@nachtwitch, thank you for your feedback!
Hmmm, do you think the dizziness is caused by rotating background or screen shake? Or a little bit of both perhaps.
@niterich thank you for your feedback! And sorry for my confusing theme. The idea is actually as simple as "There was nothing but chaos(grey), then Yin(black) and Yang(white) appear, or split from chaos."
@kirbloid, thank you! That is another interesting way of understanding the theme.
@corrade I totally agree, this game can be confusing.
Using any key to start the game is a great advise, thanks!
I have seen games about coding before, but I haven't seen any game about CSS(let me know if there are any), which I now realized fits perfectly well with games.
Most shocking intro I have ever seen for years.
Excellent quality for programming, art, audio, concept and level design. Best I've seen so far.
Really cute concept and game. Pretty hard platform jumping with such a cute art style.
One of my favourite so far. Never played a game quite like this before and it fits the theme perfectly. Great graphics as well.
Hard but interesting little game. Sometimes the fire just generate right on my little chicken...
Thanks for your review! I'll add install instructions definitely.
@theqiwiboy Thanks, could you specify what problem you encountered when you try to start the game?
@theqiwiboy Thanks for the information you provided! And sorry, what is the debug info? And did you download data folder and put .exe and data folder in the same directory?
I like the graphics and interested in how the implementation works behind the mechanism. Sometimes it seems my shoot expand the pollution, is that a bug or a feature?
Probably the first multiplayer game I played on Ludum Dare. Great and very creative concept(haven't seen anything like this so far). The game feature is well designed and nicely done.
Cool game, nice control and music. Just always get stuck and need to reset. I hope there could be a functionality that transport me back to the begin of the lap without having to reset my lap count...
Really cool concept and game. BTW, I got stuck in a block when my clone left the button. =_=
It actually pretty satisfying to throw stuff and see how everything exploded. Wondering is it possible to actually get pass the traffic?
Control feels great. Very creative of of using the idea of looping. Interesting that invincibility after respawn is used as a puzzle solving feature.
Pretty decent level design, love the music. One thing, it the bot supposed to stuck on walls? it not, try to remove the friction on the sides.
Simple yet polished game. Love the music, the step sound can be smaller. Played quite some games about routine in LD47 and this is the best so far.
One of the best I've played so far. Combination of great concept, decent level design and polishing. Graphic and audio are awesome. BTW I just used the same tileset on one of my projects recently.
Love the graphics and music. It kinda hard to make the shoe clean part work. But it's really satisfying how I can shoo the flies.
Nice little shooting game. Good work making so much content this fast. Normal mode is too hard for me. I beat the easy mode.
A round 2D platform map is one creative way to present the theme. One problem is that it seems having the player taking too much time just walking. It'll be great if there's someething happening when we moving, like some enemies.
A very simple and literal way to present the theme stuck in loop, and it is quite interesting to play. Control feels nice and smooth, also like the filter you added.
@witekwitek For a jam game there really is not much I can add, it feels nice and is interesting. You have the tutorial in, makes it one of the few games I understand how to play immediately. Only thing I can complain about is the amount of content. But hey, the time is very limited.
Love the good old emulator style control. Simple yet interesting game, looks polished. Getting stronger in a loop to break it.
A nice way to present the theme. Kinda difficult as well. I can see the trail of enemy bullets when they aim, but I can only see a short straight line when I aim... Might be easier if I get to see my bullet trail as well.
Thanks! Sorry for the sound! Decided to add them in the last minute.
Interesting and challenging game. Definitely take sometime to be good at this because there is a lot to consider. Have to decide which direction to which block and dodge block attack. Good game!
Awesome graphics, the blood effect is very nice. Shooting feels great too. The idea of ejecting your core is great, feels like a solid concept for a game.
I like the idea of understanding unstable as unstable powers, really good idea. But it is too hard.
Great idea, level design, graphics and audio.
@tomknocker44 Thanks for the info, I'll try to check with some friends to see if they can get this running.
@morepixels Yeah a background would be helpful, just didn't have enough time to add this feature. Thanks for the feedback!
Simple but well-executed. Like how each level add something new.
Simple but good concept and a funny little plot twist in the end.
That, my friend, is no doubt a 5-star graphics. I move onto the next day and then I suffer a huge frame rate drop though. Not sure if it is just me.
One of the most beautiful game I have played so far. Really polished. Didn't expect I could drop the rock during sliding in the beginning.
Super adorable game. Love the idea of using a parachute to move in y direction.
This might be one of my favourite concepts and well execueted for a jam game. I wish I have more item slots though.
The opening is awesome. The framerate is pretty low on the browser for me, but the combat should feel good if at regular frame rate.
Descend.PNG
Good game overall, especially that DOF is an awesome way to interpret the theme. Since there are just two layers, I suggest just have one button to switch the layer. For now it is easy to forgot which layer I am currently at and press the wrong button. Also, if the ground is going to stay solid no matter what, it might be better to just always keep the ground clear and do not blur it.
Best game played so far. This is actually very fun to play with. The graphics and the audios are great. Like the conception of combining Snake with mining.
@dzr118 Thank you so much for the feedback! Sorry about the harpoon, the idea was to give it high gravity fall so it is only good when firing downward. Didn't turn out too well though, I have to admit.
@zjuwindking Thanks for the feedback! The idea is to make it only useful when firing downward at the beginning, and it can be later upgraded to have a high speed and less fall. But that part did turn out to be a little confusing.
@soul-grinder Really glad that someone maxed out the upgrades. Yeah, I would definitely add more upgrades and enemies if I got the time. Thank you so much.
@verttixpertti Thanks for maxing things out. Yeah I realized the floating issue. I tried several things to resolve the issue like increasing the difficulty by a bit and have coins falling to the bottom. But still nothing really prevents you from floating and shooting. Thanks for the feedback.
@jackofcups Thanks for the feedback! I myself found it was easy to forget about the oxygen and just drawn myself. Added flashing red at low oxygen, but didn't work too well.
@zenorke Oh, sorry I didn't make support for controllers. I used input axis for movement so that part should work.
@johncoffee Thank you so much for liking it and for the feedback! Will test that out later.
@jordanfb Thanks for the detailed feedback! Having high level enemies that require both weapons to kill is a great idea. Might add that in the future development.
Funny and difficult game. Tried the make my name on the leaderboard but did not get pass even 30m. I agree that sometimes the board generation can be out of reach.
Great atmosphere, audios and graphics. Really wish there are some checkpoints.
Love the idea and great graphics. The tongue got stuck as well, but I am kinda glad it did so that I can just do whatever I want. After producing a few more ants the game became pretty slow for me. I was playing the browser version.
This is one of the best concepts I have seen in this LD, definitely have great potentials. Well executed as well, great scene and assets.
Very cool concept. I remember I saw your post and gif while I was working on mine. I am a bit confused on how things are attached, though.
FYI, I got 404 trying to play the LD57 web version. Good job! Got the vibe of those classic first person low-poly horror games. I suggest changing the link type to HTML though, since it is a web build on itch, not quite the source code. I almost thought I have to download and build it.
Great mechanics, graphics and the controlling is incredibly smooth. Pretty difficult though, I still need more practice.
Really impressive that you can put up a game with terrain changing and sphere gravity within 72 hours. Two things I think can be done better: It is hard to get back to the surface after digging too deep. And the ship can be hard to find when I am far away from it.
The itch version works for me. Impressive map, arts and filters. Although I am not quite sure what the game is about, I just walked for around 5 minutes. A bit tutorial in the description can be helpful?
Good game! Just I am a really slow typer.
Wow it is difficult. I really love the level changing animation.
Reached 3000m with no problem. Absolutely lovely graphics. The white outline is a good idea, providing the vibe of stickers. I do wish there can be some y direction control as well.
A classic bullet hell. Great choice of music btw.
Great art and audio choice, love the shotgun. Shotguns are always awesome in games.
miner.PNG I am having trouble passing this place. Once I digged a hole here I will not be able to jump out or dig my way out. I love the graphics and controlling so I am willing to try it again once I know how to get past here...
@zedgame Ah, should have noticed that, thanks for the explanation. Sorry but then I stuck hereminer.PNG I think that might be a bug?
Update: I got frozen on the leftside of the box again in a similar scenario where I should be falling. All the controls are disabled so I think I am stuck in a falling state?
@zedgame No worries, I still kinda like it.
Great concept, reminds me of several different games. I think the concept has great potential. As others have said, moving back is too hard, will be better if the player can dig a way out or leave a few exit in the map.
Took me a while to find the flashlight. Good atmosphere and great scene! Love the art style as well. @0x-void-x0 You'll have to adjust your position until you can see a white outline of the lantern, then press E while you can see the outline.
Great art. Antique appraisal is an innovative topic and matches the theme perfectly.
Absolutely love how the scene is squirming smoothly. Great audio and atmosphere.
You actually share a similar concept with one of the most popular games in this jam. I suggest adding checkpoints though. Also, sometimes I have to jump down without knowing what is down there. I think it will be better if I know where I want to land before I jump.
Simple digging and delivering. For later players, you can climb on not-too-steep slopes by repeatly jumping, that should save you some time climbing back up.
The Sonar and the controllers are both pretty cool.
Great art and feeling of controlling. The elevator jump is just soooo classic.
Great animations especially considering you made those in 48 hours. I reach the 100% and got a black screen, and from your reply it seems that is the ending. Well done!
Chaotic but satisfying. Will be better if I can just hold E to add fuel.
I picked up the fish and walked around thought that might just be it since it is unfinished. And then I got suprised. Really good atmosphere.
Cool art and concept, really suit the theme of Depth.
Liked the concept, remind me of Awaria. The control is a bit difficult while the timer is really tight. Basically I need to check what the ship needs, grab the item and deliver it to the ship. The time is almost never enough for all of them.
I actually came up with Depth of Field and I liked that idea, but did not end up doing it. Animals are cute and well-drawn. I am not super clear on why photos are accepted/rejected though.
Like the concept. The art assets are pretty good. Is actually not difficult to add some polishments like character animations and particle effects once you are better at the engine. Looking forward to seeing you in the future LDs.
I like the concept and the art sprites. Voice over is cool as well. The controlling part is a bit buggy, though.
The overall mechanism reminds me of the old classic Gold Miner game. Feels satisfying to dig gold and love how the gold meter just straight up go beyond the limit. Although it is a bit strange that in a game about mining, the only enemies are bats which are spawned above the ground?
It's great that you are able to add a boss fight in it. But sorry the boss is too difficult for me.
Despite that this is not an easy game, the checkpoints makes it a fair challenge. Simple concept but really well executed. I love the fact that you have another ending and have a special scene for that.
Cool graphics and audio, really good atmosphere.
Simple but beatifully made game, love the pixelated filter and the fishing line.
Pretty hardcore puzzle game. Simple mechanism but enough complexity. Tutorials and guidance were good so I could easily figure out the goal.
Gameplay wise this is the best Ive played so far, just wish it can be a bit longer. Cool idea too. Also the first Altar seems to make no sense? It consumes souls worth of 20 and output a 15?
Got a level A bag :) Cute game with a good amount of art pieces, wow.
@toastercosplay thank you so much for the comment! Yeah I totally agree I should add that if got more time.
@tykki19 Thanks for comment! Yeah the game is not super clear on that :( Basically the item you get is randomized based on price, higher price item make visitors drop more leaves when they pass by.
@thomz12 Thanks, yes I realized the leaves despawn way too fast... I forgot to turn on the despawn timer until the last moment so couldn't realize that earlier. Thank you for the comment!
@naru @sergs-workshop @profugo-barbatus @jaco-van-hemert @dhim @anima-animus049 @lsy Thanks for the compliment and advices. Some stuff like rewarding a combo was originally in the plan but ditched due to time. Now that I know there are some snail lovers I might keep working on a post-jam version :) Thanks guys.
@lisek-gagatek I am flattered for such a compliment. Thank you so much, definitely makes me wanna add more to it.
Truly beautiful graphics and smooth UX designs, especially for a compo game.
Probably one of the most complicated games I've seen in LD. Quite impressive amount of text too
That's quite some work in three days, the cards are even in 3D. Gameplay wise there are a huge amount of enemies and equipment. Probably one of the most completed roguelike Ive seen in LD.
Cards are nicely drawn and mechanics is creative. Personally, I think it might be better if there is just a board and monster spawning on the board, without the character walking part. That would make the game more focused on the core mechanics and prehaps more time for other stuff.
That is a really fun game and feels satisfying to assemble a full robot. Starting day 3 it really getting hard.
Got the end, yey. Garbage collector was one of the first thing came to my mind but I didn't know what to do with it. So I am glad to see someone else choose the theme and make a good simple game.
美术很好,立绘和小人都好看。 就是剧情让去西边,结果要交互的地方在中间偏右.....
CardCollect.PNG Didn't quite get it in the beginning but eventually became kinda interesting. The more money you have the more you'll get, with some upgrade system this could become a quite good clicker game. Like allow people to automatically sell card, automatically buy cards and buy more cards with one click.
Hey, just a suggestion for the loading issues people mentioned cause I too cannot load. Could you upload the build to itch.io and put that link here? The LD built-in web support is not too reliable. Let me know if you don't know how:)
