Great job!
OMG, web builds are soo good for game jams, they should literally be mandatory!
The most creative name for the game -)
This is cool! Reminds me of that fluid painting thing, forget what its's called!
I didn't really get how this relates to the theme... Cool concept non the less!
Wow, thats the coolest isometric pixel art I saw so far on the jam!
Hey, nice job! Graphics are great as always! Was a bit hard to get the theme thought!
If you dont mind, check out my game: https://pavelivanov.itch.io/nothing-on-frontlines
I got stuck in gear thing -( But the UI is great for a compo game! Also, cool graphics!You got dudes with clubs, my game has those too lol!
Nice game but to get it running was kinda confusing. Maybe you can use the itch.io's section for install instructions to give some steps on how to do it? But overall, nice game!
I never thought dying at 1 years of age is possible, lol! Thank you for web build
Super satisfying! I can see this become a top mobile game -) The only issue I see is that its hard to see the player!
Remember your blog posts! Thanks for web build, love when people make them, saves so much pain!
@xacur nice game! Also, thank you for the music website, its pretty useful for game jams!
Nice Game, a bit confusing and I don't get the theme connection but the graphics and sounds are fantastic!
You may want to include the links, we can't play your game....
Never mind, you are jam, sorrry
Cool game, would go great with multiplayer to go with the .io genre!
What the hell was that, haha
Cool little game, always impressive when people don't use a game engine during a game jam
Fun!! I love the song, what program did you use? Bosca Ceoil?
5/5 graphics because I made them haha!
@erebus nice game! The sprites look stunning!
Interesting idea! I would say the execution could be better but still very good concept! I think the jump sound is a bit too much, the narrator is enough -) Check out my game too if you don't mind!
Humor 6/5!!!! The thumbnail is the best tooo!!!! haha
The most related to the theme so far -) The graphics and the gameplay are questionable thought.
@chaosinism This is funny because this is the idea I had originally -) I didn't exactly go that route thought, lol
Nice job! I like the graphics and the audio, the theme also comes thought very well! I would add some more polish to the UI and some particles but that's just me -)
Also, if you want, check out my entry here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/nothing-on-frontlines
@kazatan Great game! The only thing for me were the controls, I think it would be a lot easier if you used tank controls so pressing w sould make the witch go forward and a/d would make her turn. Other than that, the game is cool!
Nice game, placeholder graphics and the controls could be explained better!
@askingquestions thanks buddy!
@iconocatstudio thanks -)
@jeremy-ryan yeah, I always thought I had enought time but it got kinda close so the sounds aren't that great!
@adroitconceptions walls smashing turrets is a feature, they kill enemies too so if you can predict where they spawn, you can destroy a group of enemies. The turrets can't be placed too close to each other (orange color).
@musicblox thanks, I will fix the bugs after the rating weeks. I just got a little too big of a scope maybe so it was quite harsh on play testing. You, as always in the ladum dare...
@ordineu thanks for feedback! Maybe I should have used a different font... I think I did a good job having a seperate scene where you can explore so you got it eventually. Also, I put the controls in text on the page.
@zerptin thank you so much!
@lomt1k I know, they were rushed and I just used the generator ladum dare website provides
@bry nice, my best is 3.25! But you have to get lucky with the map. I also know some code things one can exploit so yeah, you can try to beat me but I bet you wont -) Lol
@appix thanks
@appoxgames that was intended!
@theseusinabottle yeah, I wanted to add a mute button but I sort of run out of time -) I know that it's quite annoying
@william-derksen yeah, I wanted it quite chaotic rather than strategic. The walls killing things are definitely something controversial but I added them to keep with the theme and have an empty battlefield at the beginning! Also, the walls kill enemies as well so if you can guess where they will spawn and place a dummy turret there for enemies to bunch up and get killed by the walls -)
@6smith maybe. Some of my friends suggested this could be fun with co-op so maybe I will polish this up and trying implement that (I used Photon Bolt for networking before so maybe it could work) and some of the other suggestions such as yours!
@winslow definitely, a lot of others have mentioned that
@zenpj @geoff-nagy thanks, I made a blog post where you can post your best time to see who can get the longest. if you want, you can try yourself out
@calamador I think a bit too much effects is better than too little.
@marcin-j lol, just look at any other comment, all the same thing talking about sounds, adding waves and the lightings and particles
@attala dude, there is a literal lobby scene in the game so you can test out the controls! Then of course when you jump in, shit goes crazy. That was the intention!
@berkin "complete", lol. The many definitely doesn't fall into that category 😆😆
@keith-wang yeah I know, but I didn't want to use a different font. Wanted to stay consistent...
@infraxion thank you. I liked how the tutorial worked out too lol 😀😆
@nachtwitch yeah, it was a bit of a hustle -)
@kazatan yeah, dummies are really good because allies can shoot thought them while enemies will take forever to destroy. They are also cheap and o great with the healing turret
@abacus what about them?
@pincushion they have to be a certain distance away from each other, the color code for that case is orange and that's the circle around the turret when you are placing it!
@frenchie yeah, maybe I need to clear them. Most people get to under 2 minutes. The game gets to its max difficulty at 2 minues so if you have a good efence premade it's not hard to keep going.
@danilo-freire haha, I know, look at any other comment! Also, in the description I added a recommendation to play without headphones. lol
@hcursino yes, I didn't teach it too well but you need to make sure the radius around the tower doesnt have any other buildings with in it! So when the tower is orange that means that you have the money but the location is too close to another turret
@karrar-home-student I don't understand what you mean?
Nice low poyl graphics, similar style to my game -)
oh god, I should have read the manual -)
Haha, this game.... Humor 6/5! The bad graphics make it this much better!!!! -)
Fun little game, I like the cure graphics! It just starts to feel a little repetitive after a short while!
So simple but very polished! The character sort of looks like a sperm thing. oh oh...
Fantastic effects and the character is super impressive!
Nice game, feels like super meat boy! The theme is not super visible but still a great job!
Nice game, just a tip thought, maybe you could manage to get a Web GL build for a simple game like this. That would also make more people play the game. Downloading is sort of a pain! Nice game thought!!!
@geoff-nagy Great job! I like the graphics! This game is also kind of similar to my entry except for my is 3D -)
Very impressive to build this from scratch! Nice music as well!
Nice game! I like how you explain the controls!
Wow, nice pixel art!
Those effects! Nice
Like the idea, very good with the theme! Not too polished thought, for example the character could have been animated but of course, that would take away from the theme so there is always a balance to consider.
If you don't mind, give me feedback too -)
Polished simple game! I like the controls!
Cool game, thank you for including HTML5 and for giving us a mute button! Also great level design and neat scene transitions!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Pretty nice. Very confusing tho. The controls are also a bit weird I found. Overall, loved the sounds and the graphics
Very impressive polish level for a compo game! Is that a custom font or did you get it from somewhere? Can I know what its called? -)
Not bad. A bit confusing at first and the graphics need work! I liked the sounds tho and the gameplay once I understood it
Nice, really cool concept and visuals! One of the games that starts with the theme rather than applying an existing genre to it -) Overall, good job! (Chock out my game if you want lol)
Very nice graphics and sound effects. The gameplay feels a little unfinished as there isn't much strategy involved in the placing of the buildings!
@tattomoosa thank you for letting me know. I didn't have a way to test it as I only have a windows machine. I will see what I can do at this point as the compo is over now.
@supergamersgames yeah, there is no restart. My bad. You can always just die as an option, lol
@sneakycocoon thanks for the feedback. I agree it feels a little slow at the beginning stages, however, when you get to the later levels with cannons and stuff, the step by step structure is useful as well as the wait. It's a compo game so will have some loose ends...
@moebiusmeow I am sorry to hear it lagged. I have only tested it on my computer and its a pretty beastly one. I have play tested it on my system tho and never encountered the bug. The knights should jump over gaps, the rooks are for blocking cannon fire.
@afroant thank you! It's a compo game btw. I made as many levels as I had time for!
@drums thank you! I am glad you liked this!
This is very clever. I like the graphics. Sounds are a little annoying. Now I am not the only one who made a chess game. hehe
Cool graphics and super innovative idea! Greats sounds as well!
Nice graphics. Like the feedback the game gives. Sounds get a tad annoying later so thankyou for letting me mute it, lol. Great job overall
Cool game! Not quite polished all the way. Here are some of my suggestions: 1. Add a score counter 2. Make camera movement based on egg position not just constant movement. 3. Some visual indication of the lines disappearing would be nice because I kept dying because I didn't expect it to disappear.
Fun. Graphics aren't great... Good job overall!
