This is cool! Reminds me of that fluid painting thing, forget what its's called!

merkisoft 2019-10-07 06:13

Nice particles, but I am missing a goal in the game

burnedkirby 2019-10-07 06:15

@merkisoft The goal is to basically populate the empty universe with planets, stars, and fish. But there isn't any enemies so there is basically no difficulty. I will keep that in mind next time, thanks for checking it out.

merkisoft 2019-10-07 06:20

that works well :-) maybe version 2 should be to grow the universe till it collapses and you end with nothing too!

cantthinkofname 2019-10-07 06:27

This game has cool particles and music. However there's no challenge like enemies destroying planets or something.

Really dug it, the music was oh so good. A lot of games with more intricate music seem to have a problem of not looping harmoniously which ends up sounding poor. You have nailed the music loop down though really harmonious and smooth on the ears. I enjoyed the game too, really seemed like a big bang simulator. Also games which are about creation rather than destruction are hard to make and are always deserving of respect. Although I am still a little confused about the fishes lmao. One more thing, in the Firefox browser I noticed some slight music skipping going on in the first 5 minutes of the game but then as I created more things it smoothed out. Really enjoyed my time with one and all!

The music and visual effects put a smile on my face. :) I had a lot of fun rebuilding the universe. It's a really bright and enjoyable game.

I really liked your entry. The music and colors really brings a heartwarming athmospere. Good job.

odeyalko 2019-10-08 12:44

music and effects, unfortunately I do not see the game

onnofal 2019-10-08 19:38

I am fine with "no game", it is still fun and those few sentences build more solid atmosphere than many other entries does. Music is great and I always appreciate it in Compo - and starting to regret I've entirely skipped creating some this time myself. I like, and before reading other comments I decided to take note to myself, that next time I may not limit myself with narrow approach of classic game concepts and should, if able to, try something more out-of-the-box. As this toy

Nice audio decisions. It's giving me a joyful version of Stanley Parable vibe. Super playful and and really fun to play. Great job! Would love to know how you did the text typing on the screen, it's a tool I've always wanted to learn. Great game!

burnedkirby 2019-10-10 05:53

@humphreysmedia The text typing is basically create a new text image object per letter, each new object consecutively has one more letter of the full string to display. Also, the sound effect when adding a new letter helps. Thanks for trying out the game!

Love the music and sfx, it was a good game for meditation and thinking about nothing while popping colors everywhere. Really nice mood, awesome work!

mruniverse 2019-10-12 00:42

The fish were cute, but the particles coming from the player were disorienting. The experience was interesting though and it stands out.

Ah that opening questionnaire took me in the right mood instantly. Great music and audio, very relaxing, and not sure if you intended it, gave me an almost aquarium-like experience. Love it!

One minor that may make the game a bit better is if as a player I have more control on the outcome of my actions. Right now I have no control on what my double-click may result in, so it's hard to plan out what I wanted to build. Not to say surprises are bad, but it may go against being a creator of a universe.
