Nice, really cool concept and visuals! One of the games that starts with the theme rather than applying an existing genre to it -) Overall, good job! (Chock out my game if you want lol)

Good solid game

Very good game and good idea only lacks music Good Job!!

pretty interesting take on the theme, i like it!

vano 2020-04-21 05:43

This was actually really awesome! Quite a challenge and very fun to play. I was only able to get to 1500 points before I was unable to handle all of the different controls at once. An incredible challenge with lots of potential! I think it could have really benefited from some audio though. Aside from that, really cool concept and I hope that you choose to expand upon this somehow in the future!

weird game but in a good way, nice

drschizzo 2020-04-21 07:30

really good use of the theme to create on original and fun game. well done! I agree with others that a little music would improve the mood...but i understand you, i didn't had time to make music neither :)

hamzeh 2020-04-21 09:11

the plant growing effect is really cool, and multitasking is what really makes this game fun, the mechanics alone aren't that interesting but when paired they do great, ah another thing, how do i get water?

hexiez123 2020-04-21 14:25

@hamzeh you can use the 'a' and 'd' keys once the watering can appears to rotate it and control the amount of water that the plant gets. The can has an infinite amount of water stored in it.

Many reviewers have said that music would make the game better, I absolutely agree with that. However, armed with little knowledge about composing or just music in general, my attempts usually just fall flat. Could someone point me to how they learned to make good music for their game?

I think this game is a great illustration of my lackluster multi-tasking skills.

Great job on taking mechanics which would feel quite simple on their own but mixing them in a way that creates challenge.

I really like how the plant shoots up straight from the menu!

Very nice, got me totally stressed when the swaying set in, just to much for me. Liked the graphics and the gameplay. It's like an advanced version of my LD 45 game, L-Flowers, only had water and sunlight to manage. I did miss, just the simplest of sound effects. Great job

yorsh 2020-04-22 09:09

The mechanics are introduced at the right time, just when you are getting comfortable with the old ones. It's hard.

maritzhd 2020-04-26 19:44

Solid Game, liked the graphics and the gameplay is smooth. But I have the feeling that something is missing, a story at the beginning or random events like a plague would be cool.

amdmaster 2020-04-26 19:48

Ohh I love this game, One of my favorites right now... Also a compo submission damn dude... Great job!!

natpat 2020-04-26 19:50

That's tough! I echo what Yorsh said, it feels like new mechanics are introduced at just the right time, so well done with that! One thing that threw me was that I felt like the A+D keys should have been swapped around - I was always doing the wrong thing with the watering can. I appreciated the visuals too - simple but effective, and pleasant to look at. As others have said, music and sound effects would really elevate this game.

nice plant

kelsyrup 2020-04-30 01:43

This is fantastically done. Super fun and addicting to play! I agree with previous commenters that the mechanic introduction was timed great, and that some audio would have done it wonders. Also agree that the watering can controls felt backwards. Was that on purpose, to add a level of difficulty? Either way, the game set up just the right amount of panic. Overall, a great submission.

Man, this was rough, but a really great entry! It stretched my brain to the point of breaking by the time I reached the "type to kill" mechanic. Solid implementation of gameplay, but some good sfx feedback and background music would've really sold this as an amazing entry. Responsive UI would've been nice to have for fullscreen on my monitor, but playing windowed was fine. Another +1 for the water controls feeling backwards. All in all, excellent job with this one!

Hey there, a fun little game, cool idea! :) Also really great for a compo entry, you've come very far with a decent amount of mechanics! For post-jam improvement, I might not make you lose immediately before you hit a cetain point, but like, give off a warning and if things don't change for a couple seconds, then it's over (like on Overwatch the warning sound before your kitchen burns down lol) The gameplay ideas were cool, the controls felt a little bit weird at first, but worked out pretty good :) As I comment on many games haha, I think this might be more intuitive with a controller, like one joystick for the sun, one for the water (as those two being the main influences) it would also be cool if you'd add certain effects like for example that you can kill the bugs with a carefully placed strain of water if it hits them, kill two birds with one stone :) (In German this saying is "Kill two flies with one swat" which is literally true, hehe ;)) All in all a very impressive entry, good job! :)
