I really like the sounds & music. The graphics are also amazing.

I really like the sounds & music. The graphics are also amazing.
I love the art.
I like the music. The gameplay is ok, but the enemy's AI often gets stuck. The C4 sometimes glitches and flies through the room stopping at the first wall. Overall I think it's nice but glitchy.
Nice game! Fun to play, although I think it needs an endless mode.
A really nice game! The text animation takes too much time, I think.
This game is really nice! I really liked the idea of a tree defending itself against bugs. However, I think the camera controls are too slow [zooming in/out]. In my opinion, the player should have more control over the camera's movement.
I really like it! The graphics are nice and I really like the general idea.
A really nice game! I liked the graphic style.
I really like the gameplay, although it sometimes is confusing. The art is nice and I love the main music theme.
I liked everything about this game. The graphics are amazing and the music is fitting. Great entry.
A nice typing game. I really liked the audio and the nice pixel art.
I liked the game. The graphics are nice and I've enjoyed making levels.
Nice visual style! I also liked the music. The gameplay confused me at first but at the and i had a lot of fun. Nice game.
The graphics look really nice, but the bullets are almost invisible on the background as @joemanaco said. If you had more time I think it would be a really good game.
The music fits the gameplay really well, creating an interesting atmosphere. I liked the graphics an the concept of the puzzles. Really nice game!
I liked the art style and the idea. However, some hitboxes are broken and the garage level is really hard because of this. Overall, I enjoyed it - nice game!
nice game! I liked the mood of it - the music fits really well. The pixel art is nice and overall i enjoyed it.
It is really nice, however the veichle steering, especially the truck is really annoying and doesn't feel right. I liked the art and overall i think the game is really good.
Really good! The gameplay is really fun and the music fits well. I had a lot of fun!
Really nice! I'm not really into rythm games but this one is really interesting! Great Job!
It is kinda hard, but still really nice game.
The game is really nice! I like the idea, and the graphics are pretty good, however i think that the UI backgrounds look not the best, I think that the red font on the deathscreen doesn't really fit. Generally, i think it is a really cool game.
Really nice game! I think it lacks some sounds, but the gameplay made me laugh.
I loved it! The art style is unique and the gameplay was very cool, i liked how it combined platforming and strategic thinking. I think it is a really nice entry!
I like to do barrel
A really nice game! The physics feel great and the jumps are smooth. I think that the music is nice, but after a few loops it gets boring. Overall really fun to play.
The graphics and music are really good! I loved the little dialogues between the characters, this game has a mood. The gameplay gets boring slowly, seems repetitive, but i liked it. Overall, nice game!
Nice game, i'm not really good in platforming games but i enjoyed this one. Great job!
A really nice game! I think that it's mood is prette unique. The only thing i found a little annoying is the interaction - holding alt to interact felt a little off. Overall, I really liked it.
nice plant
I like the graphics, the gun animations are really nice. I enjoyed the gameplay, but it got repetitive after some time. Overall a good game!
Really nice game! I like the graphic style and the sfx. The gameplay is interesting and fits the theme
@arity it should be working now! I set the wrong file to load. Are you on MacOS or Linux? Those versions are coming today, as i had trouble compiling them.
Edit: Nevermind, it still seems not to work. I'm compiling the Linux and Mac builds
@neontropics i'm sorry! I don't own a macOS computer. I'm trying to fix it right now.
@neontropics could you please try it again now? I attached a new build file. I have no idea how the Mac applications work.
@edalbung Thanks for your feedback! You are right, the sound effects are missing. We started making them in the final hours of the jam, and we couldn't get them to sound right. After many failed attempts, we compromised and added music only.
@jjacobs Oh my god! I accidentally turned off the instruction in game! fixing it...
@ismael-rodriguez i was going to introduce player classes into the game. they would have different stats, like health and speed, but we ran out of time. I think i'm going to continue the developement, because i always wanted to make a rougelike
@geckoo1337 @puppetmaster thank you fot the feedback! I'm pretty sure i'm going to continue the developement, because me and the team really enjoyed the process.
@fractal What platform were you on? Could you please provide your PC details? I was testing it on lower-end computers and it was still playable, however the game is not well optymised, because I had no time for that.
@fractal I haven't tested this game on platforms other than windows during the jam. However, I tested it just now on an old laptop with Ubuntu, Intel Celeron N2840 and it was -as you said- unplayable. I'm not sure what is really causing this problem, I think It's something with the build. The game isn't well optymised, but it ran pretty well on lower end Windows PC's.
Really nice game! Love the concept and the toilet paper chasing the player. The music is fitting and the controls are responsive. The graphics are also really nice.
The graphics are interesting. The gameplay is also nice.
Nice! The only thing i find a little boring, is gathering the resources, but i think it is just because i feel a little tired. Overall, I really liked it
I really liked it, however i think it lacks levels. Still i think the game is great and I enjoyed it.
Really nice game! I love the pixel art.
Congrats on first entry! I really liked it. I think that it is an interesting concept, but sometimes i found it hard to interact with stuff. Also, in my opinion it would look better in pure pixel-art than the blinear filtered one.
@aaron-taube i think so... I'm not sure tho, you should maybe ask it in a post
It is really nice. I liked the graphics and the music, altough the gameplay is a little bit slow.
The controls were hard to understand. Otherwise great game and i liked it, altought it lacked levels.
Nice first game, however it is really hard to control the jumping. The camera is too slow and i cannot see where I am going.
Really nice! In my opinion it is just a little bit too hard, but maybe it's just me beeing a total noob. Great game!
It's pretty good, however the animations are a little bit weird and to rotation of the character feels out of place.
Nice game, i really liked the music. The graphics are nice and overall I enjoyed it.
This game is really nice. I liked the artstyle: the music goes really well with the pixel art. It has some glitches, for example i got stuck on level two with no option to restart. I think it is really good overall.
Great concept! I love how this game looks and feels. The image effects really add up to the nice mood. I like the sound effects too.
Nice concept, but I don't see a clear goal. It doesn't really look like a game, more like a tool. I still like it and I think that it can be made into a great game/tool
This game has potential, but for some reason after about 1 minute everyone dies (maybe I'm don't understand something?). I think it is a great game, the pixel art and music are great and the whole concept is interesting. Great job!
A really nice game! It's hard, but somewhat relaxing and addictive. The visuals are nice, but I think it lacks some visual effects that could make the particles stand out more. The game would sometimes get laggy, especially when large amounts of particles would spawn. This made some segments even harder. Overall I enjoyed it, great job!
Congrats on finishing your first game jam! I like the intro and the sarcastic feeling of everything. It's difficult but fun, great job!
The game is really good, but the most impressive thing in my opinion is that you pulled it off in 6502 Assembly! The art is nice and the music fits the gameplay well. Love it!
Nice, a little strange but still interesting. I like the approach you have taken. The sounds of the squares are also really satisfying. Good job!
Interesting gameplay. I liked the intro but I think the graphics are inconsistent (some are pixel art, some are not). Overall I enjoyed it but I think it needs more polish.
Wow! I'm honestly impressed, this game has such an amazing mood to it and I love the 2D cinematics. I think that the textures (eg the floor) don't really fit the style. The font is nice, and the UI looks great. In my opinion the pixel-art animation in the loading screen doesn't fit that well. Overall I think it is one of the best games of this jam and I enjoyed playing it. Great job!
It's hard but I like it! The art style is very nice and I love the concept.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm relly glad you liked it, it was literally the third game I tried to make for this jam and didn't really have time for playtesting @valkija
@aquanim thanks for you rating! Yes, the beat does run out but I didn't have time to patch this bug. Maybe i'll try to fix it.
@macmist sorry! I don't own a Mac and always had trouble building for the platform. I'll try to fix it but I don't really understand the way Mac executes apps.
thanks for all the the feedback, @kpedatte @hansj @melvinng @mr-forty-two @edalbung! > The Shift input is not a great choice with a repetitive behavior input (skip of the pop-up), indeed it may trigger the remanence Windows input.
You are right, I should probably change the key. I have the shift functions disabled and forgot about it.
Thanks for the ratings! @baran @eugenik @steve7411 @kisamegr @theogen @sanojian Yes, there is. The booster increases your speed to a constant value (+5 the normal speed), and doesn't allow you to go faster than that.
@jam373 Thanks! You are right, the tutorial isn't the best, but it was done in the last few hours because I started making it on the almost-last day. I'm glad you liked the audio, I'm not a music producer and this is the first song that I've made with FL studio.
Nice, althought the shoe cleaning doesn't work. There are some glitches, but It's pretty nice
It's a fun game, I love the audio and the music. I managed to complete it altough the roll was not really reacting to my clicks, so I got stuck in the magnet part for a good while. The graphics are simple but look nice and fit the rest. Nice game!
A very interesting idea, requires some thinking! I like it, but I got stuck at the door which required a key. I had the checkmark and was able to pick up the key, but the door wouldn't open. Overall this is a really good game in my opinion, I really love the concept.
Great! It's like factorio but simplified. The graphic style is also pretty nice, I like it. I think that it is a lot nicer than the dirty one present in factorio. I'd love to see the full version of this game! Good job!
It is really atmospheric, but I'm not really into this type of games. However, I loved this one and I think you did a great job with the graphics and sounds!
Looks pretty nice, but in my opinion it's missing some SFX or music. Good job!
Nice shooter game, altough a little stiff. The guns feel like they don't even damage the enemies and their inaccuracy is annoying. I like it, but in my opinion a lot could be improved.
I love the cute graphics, but i think that the music loop is too short and gets repetitive. The hitboxes also don't match sometimes. Overall i think this was a nice game, was fun to play on stream.
One of the most polished games I've seen for the jam, although there were some bugs (like clipping into the walls and skipping the bossfight). The voice acting together with the other sfx created a really nice atmospheric mood, It really felt like the planet was owned by a corrupt corporation. I think that it's difficulty is a little weird, though. There are some very hard jumps in some places, but theoretically you can cheese the whole game by killing the same enemies over and over. The artsyle is also very nice, kinda makes me think of the 80s
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get too far, because I had to move on during the livestream. I think the mechanic are really interesting, they force you not only to think about what resources you have but also where you have them. You also gotta be careful with them not to create something accidentally. The pixelart is really nice and clean and, just as some people before me have mentioned, the sound effects of the typewriter create a nice mood. Great job, very polished game!
Really loved the graphics in this one! The soundtrack was atmosptheric and the gameplay solid. My only issue is that I had trouble knowing which character I was controlling, which made the game really hard for me.
I really liked the narrated story concept, but as many people have already mentioned - there should be a "skip" option. I think that the orbs, clouds and rain are a very nice combination, but I also think it needs some wind fx.
Gave me some soviet vibes, loved annoying the interrogator with the squeky ball. I didn't manage to get to the end, but loved the humour of some of the possible answers.
Nice! Love the water effects, but found a bug (?) where the bubbles appear above the surface. There is also a bug with executing several actions at the same time. The audio makes it really feel like it is underwater and the way the sub looks is just cute!
:notes: We all live in the Yellow Submarine!
The art is very nice, the music and sountrack in general are nice and create the creepy atmosphere. I feel like gameplay requires some more polish. In my opinion, the "jump on their heads" mechanic doesn't really fit the more serious story. I also think that level graphics are a little too simple... I think that It'd be cool to make them look more organic, like some fluid - it would really contribute to the mood.
I like the artstyle and the attention to small details (like the cracks in the ground and the fact that when you kill enemies they leave behind "corpses"). I think that the difficulty curve is a little steep, it should be layed over more levels/rooms/waves (idk how to call it) in my opinion, so that it would feel less repetitive.
Found it relaxing, although a little frustrating. The music is great, I'd just add some more bubble sounds and maybe more fish.
Liked the pixel art, the whole concept is also pretty cool. The scaling is pretty annoying, tho and also I think it is hard to keep the party members' level proportional.
Thanks for all the ratings! @monkeybit29 @mandarad how did you manage to make that bug happen? I'm thinking it could be something with level reloading (?), but im not really sure because that certainly should not have happened. @raivk thanks, the "mouth-made" sounds were made by @walkanfl and i made the rest of them by torturing my keyboard and a pen.
Thanks, @cheesepencil , @matt-lowe @almighty-games and @picross !
Thanks for the ratings! I'll answer some of the comments in this one.
@mighty-mufflon-games That's a weird bug which for some reason only happens in the built versions. I guess it's because of the execution order but if you don't lower your neck 100% it does not occur. I've tried but haven't managed to fix that, thanks for the bug report.
@xeke-death yup, that's basically it although it's a little more complex than that.
@kpded I think i screwed up the bugfixed web build, but now they all should look the same. You are right that some levels are hard, but making the correct difficulty curve was really hard because there was not much time left for level design, so first I designed the levels and then I tried to sort them by difficulty.
@atinybean yes.
@maybeagoose well I do not own a cat, but I am not sure if cats are supposed to act this way so you might want to contact a vet.
@madbarron thanks for all the feedback! I actually planned on making a neck retract button, but the game became a little too easy. The ramp was also a major issue, I spent several hours just trying to get this level to work as it was very important to teach the mechanics. I managed to do so it falls correctly about 70% of the time, but I know that physics can get a little janky, so that still happens.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the style, @conduit
@sleepystudios you are right, it should be a little more forgiving, it was pretty hard finding the balance between frustrating and easy. It can't be too ease after all, am I right? I tried experimenting with higher values, but that's what I went with, although you are right about it being more to the "frustrating side"
@fabula-rasa thank you! Yeah, I'm currently trying to fix the head deattachment bug, It's a pretty tough one to patch tho, not sure if the player should just die in that situation or I should try and prevent that from happening. The loading screen was something that @walkanfl insisted on adding, it is a reference to the song *Cypis - Gdzie jest biały węgorz* aka the polish cow song, he also made a cover of it but i refused to add it lol.
The fact that it is procedurally generated blows my mind, it must have taken a lot of time and effort. The graphics are really nice, and the audio is good as well, although i think it lacks footsteps. There were some bugs, but overall I found playing this a pretty relaxing experience. I don't really understand the concept of levels in a procedural game tho..? And also it sometimes got a little hard to navigate. Great job on the game tho, had some fun playing it!
I liked the gameplay, the 3D models are pretty nice but I think that the background look a little flat. The audio fits the game well, and I had some fun with it!
Love the simple artsyle, this game is pretty big for being made in just 4 hours, especially without an engine. Also the sound effects are magnificent.
It was a hard one, yet very interesting one to play. I love puzzle games, but some of them were kinda difficult for me. I think it is also impressive how you managed to get a shell working with all the programs in such a short amount of time, so congratulations!
Loved the pixel art, the music also fits. In my opinion the characters look a little static, but maybe that was the goal. I had some trouble solving the puzzle with the scientist and the vial, as i thought i had to click on the captain and no the mug. Nice experience!.
All the "art stuff" (music and graphics) is beautiful! The only thing I think is a little weird is how the pixel art has many different resolutions, but I guess that it is a style decision. The gameplay is not really that interesting however... There is just not a lot to do, but this game is still really nice, it's pretty chill.
Tha game has a nice atmosphere to it. I liked how the graphics look, especially the power generator. The detection of the marks is sometimes seems a little unfair, I felt like the margin should be a little bigger. It'd also be nice to start from after-the-tutorial point, not to watch the texts again. OVerall, this is a really nice entry, interesting concept.
One of the best Ld48 games so far, the mood is so great, the tension, ahh! It's one of my favourites, despite it being made in just 72h it is still one of the best 2D horrors I've played. The plot seems a little "forced" but the way the game shows the world is great. It is important for a horror game not to reveal all the secrets, isn't it? Graphics are nice and the sountrack is creepy, although in some places i think it just changed the volume too quickly. Great Job !
The game is so polished, it almost looks like a finished indie game ready to be released. The puzzles were nice, but challenging (which is the goal of course). Love the pink-grayscale choice for the main pallette. The only thing it kinda lacks are some more mechanics, but I know that it's hard to make all of it in just 72 hours lol. Had some fun, lost just one bunny.
This was a fairly relaxing game to play, the music was very chill and nice. The graphics look good, I like the artstyle. I just think the game lacks some kind of visual indicator of how deep the asteroids will go.
Congrats on your first game jam! Played on stream, you can take a look at the VOD https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1005214987?t=02h27m34s
Nice, I think especially loved the third stage (the bacteria one). The movement was interesting in it, it was non-standard. Although you probably should have added a delay to shooting, because autoclickers are just too OP. The graphics are nice but I think they could have a little more details (maybe some background scenery in the first stage?).
It is a pretty fun exploration game, I especially liked the shader effects on the black holes, but unfortunately i didn't manage to get really far. ( < 2 light years ). Still, the mood is there and the 3d models are nice.
Loved it! The color choice is brilliant, with the moody reds in the background and the more blueish color scheme on the player. It really helps it stand out. The collisions are a little weird sometimes, I feel like at times the player would become a little taller than they should. Also, as I've said during the livestream, It'd be nice to have a visual indicator of the slowdown, and maybe of the level progress. The difficulty is tough at times, so my suggestion would be so that it should adjust a little based on your skill. Also, I just gotta ask, why is there a mute button? Why would anyone want to miss out on the soundtrack! It's really great, I love both of the tracks. Had lots of fun playing it on livestream, awesome entry.
Congrats on your first game jam! Although the gameplay is pretty basic, it is still a lot. Maybe it is a simple one, but it's execution is pretty good. It is nice that you managed to get procedural mazes, good job!
The game has a nice atmosphere, but is a little too dark in my opinion so I ended up randomly pressing keys and trying not to die. The pixel art is really clean and nice, so it's a shame that the flashlight battery doesn't really allow to take a better look at it.
Liked the small details on the walls, although the game was pretty hard. Had some fun, but only got to level -2. I think the graphics are nice but the animations feel a little stiff, and the lighting is a little flat. Overall, good job!
Managed to finish it! I really like the atmosphere, the desaturated graphics nicely contrasted with the glow of the core. I think that the dialogue was hilarious and combined with the real stress I've felt in my 5th attempt it really made me feel like I was there in the bunker. I think it would be nice to have more options, though, like some scrap parts laying around. Also, the light flicker was a bit too intensive in my opinion (happened a bit too often).
I found some of the levels too hard and had to rely on my femboy friend to see the ending. Loved the fact that the color palette had a lot of contrast - it made avoiding the sword way easier. I also really like the jokes, breaking the 4th wall. Good job!
Thanks for all the feedback so far!
@thevinter wow, I wasn't really expecting people to play that long. Congratulations! Level design-wise, I have made some more models for the buildings but I had to scrap them because of problems with the ramp generation. I also have planned adding obstacles - I'm thinking of doing a post-jam improved version.
@aevek haha, thanks. There is a limit to how fast you can go - after reaching it, you just control the tilt. That's not very realistic, but neither is going 1000kph on a unicycle :) Glad you've liked it!
@exmxpx when I was playtesting this in the submission hour I almost woke up everyone at my house (it was ~1 am) because of trying so hard lol
@cromo The main view is a bit confusing - I have no idea how to fix that, so I implemented the sideviews. Maybe I'll figure out how to make it look better in the future (orthographic camera, maybe?)
Thanks for the feedback! @hiisileiri funny thing, that is exactly what I'm working on as i write this (maybe not skins.. not yet). I want to make a sizeable post-jam update to that. Instead of levels I want to add stages. Each one will have a checkpoint at the beginning and will be generated procedurally. I've just finished the coin implementation. I wanted to add that to the jam version, but ran out of time, unfortunately.
@c0nt it was (and is) really hard to balance their impact. That's why I've changed "use the WASD keys.." to "spamclick the WASD keys..." in the menu.
@weirdybeardyman thanks for the feedback. The camera's a bit weird, but I have no idea how to make it better. Also, I'm not an expert in unicycles, but I think that you can't really control the forward/backward tilt without moving.
@eptwalabha No, there's nothing at the end - I ran out of time, but I had multiple stages planned. The 1v1 idea seems interesting - maybe I'll look into it later. For now, I'm adding more diversity and bugfixing the game on a post-jam branch.
I was very confused, but I think I've liked it overall :) https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1171194872?t=01h07m21s It's just a shame the framerates sometimes dropped a bit... Cool idea!
The music was veery relaxing - it made the game feel chilled. As people have already pointed out, the main critique is the mixture of different artstyles. I really liked the way the water looked and interacted - it is a very interesting and quite well executed concept. Good job!
I struggled with it a bit, but it was a nice experience overall! Loved the graphics, you can see me be dumb here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1171194872?t=00h07m31s
The concept is nice, although it gets repetitive quickly. I've played through the first level, but didn't really find time to finish the second one. The art is nice - i like the monochrome style. The TV static effect is cool, but i think it should fade out when it wears off. Overall, nice submission :)
Great job on finishing your first game jam entry! I think the pixel art could be further improved, but I've enjoyed the game overall. The mechanics are very simple but make the game fun. The collisions sometimes get a bit weird, but it's not game breaking. Well done :)
