I like your game! The music is just great (it reminds me of those scare houses in theme parks) and the graphics are very neat and tidy! I like how standing still to think is punished, it makes the a challenge
I did not go that deep, I kept dying. I suck at platforms, so it's not your fault luckily  But, I managed to get on your scoreboard! (I love scoreboards or other kinds of interactions, because it motivates people to push through a liiiitle bit more).
The overall theme is very much there, but a platformer going down and down was literally the first thing that came to my mind when the theme was revealed. So, for innovation I won't score you high.
I loved the art and the music! The game feels really polished and plays nicely. There are different enemies which change the way you move and attack. Throwing the orb was a good idea, since you have to pick it up and that forces you to aim and position yourself to get it back(when you throw it in the wall, it bounces back and you get it midair, that's perfect). Only bugs I found were orbs spawning inside walls, and some particles still visible a little after you die, but nothing gamebreaking. Pretty solid submission, congrats!
Very nice music and great mood. Nice touch adding leaderboards. Very well done

Very fun, but I found the best strategy is to just try to run away and go down as fast as possible without fighting enemies
This is fun! I spent way too long trying to get on the leader board. I kept landing on the ghosts. I will have to come back and try again later.

Very fun game, i like it a lot, but i think it would have been nice to at least a little bit of points for killing the ghosts otherwise maybe call it meters or so instead of points, other than that great game

Short version of the feedback: 5 of 5!.
Amazing game with a great art style. Might come back and play this occasionally in my free time.
Hello! Your game was played on stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on 4/28.

this was a really fun game with great mechanics, the fact the level seemed to be random or at least semi random and it had a live scoreboard added a lot of replayability to it too.

Loved the mood, the only critique that I would have is that the ui textures seem a little low res and don't really fit.
The art and music were fantastic! Cute game. The enemies were a bit hard and kept sneaking up on me. The orbs timing out and disappearing was kind of frustrating because it's your only source of attack and should never be without. Without orbs you're helpless and will inevitably die as the enemies are relentless in their pursuit. Over all well done guys and thanks for sharing! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003785681?t=5h8m18s
Even though the team is from fellow brazilians I'm going to leave my feedback in english so non-portuguese speakers can understand how amazing this game is! The music is on point and matching the atmosphere. The visuals are very polished. The gameplay uses interesting mechanics and the physics of the character are very balanced. I would point out just 2 things to review in the future: the respawn timing takes too long after you die, and its lacking a tutorial in the game about how the attack works (I know it's in the description but I only read it after dying too much hahahah). But besides that, the game is really enjoyable and is a great entry to this jam! Congrats to all the devs!
Very well put together “precisiony” platformer. The game is unique in that you have the option to recklessly head for the bottom, but there is an advantage to be had with precision and patience giving you options for play style, which is a lot of depth for a game made in such short time. The art and music make for a cohesive little world that is lovely to spend time in. Every part of this game reveals the amount of consideration that the devs put into it. Thank you so much for bringing this by my stream. Here's a link to the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1005666495?t=1h53m23s
Quite a well done platformer game. I enjoyed trying to reach even lower depths. The enemies are well balanced (though I hate the diggers). Wish you could hold jump button to keep jumping and the light radius was a bit bigger. The music was also very atmospheric. Overall, a well done, enjoyable game, looking forward to more games like this! :D

Really cool game guys! I've started playin and i couldn't stop.. i want to go deeper and get more points! I must have died something like 50+ times.. but i've only managed to get +-126pt :/ You got me hooked. I loved the atmosphere.. something between dark Christmas and Halloween. Graphics and audio great and very immersive. Ctrls and gameplay solid.. the autogenerated levels made it even harder! The only "bad" thing i have to say is the time between death and menu screen is a bit long (at least for me that I've died like a billion times). Well done.. that's a dope game and i will send it to my teammates to check it out <3
ps. the red moustache dudes are amazing! i couldn't get enough of them as far the design and animation. Super cool!
I really enjoyed this game, hope any feedback i gave on stream was helpful! It was a fun time though i hated the jump...XD
Awesome graphics! Cute and very well made. The audio accompanies the game very well too.
I liked the mechanic of throwing the ball and having to catch it again, I just think that it faded too fast when I got deep into the game. It became kind of useless past 250 points.
The character's speed is too high, too frenetic, very hard to control precisley. The fact that it doesnt stop immediately when I released the walk button felt frustrating.
The ranking is one of the coolest features in getting the player engaged in the game, especially in a jam game where people usually play just a little to be able to give many ratings. I spent much more time playing than intended haha, but eventually I got top 1!! Very nice entry!
top1.png
Very good game! had fun trying over and over, but my besst run i never killed enemies, just ran as fast as i could XD
This game is pretty addictive. the music and art really set a nice tone. The gameplay makes me think of a simplified Spelunky with a speedrun element. My only really criticism is that sometimes it felt like certain enemies couldn't really be dodged. I just ran into a scenario where a spider spawned underneath me and immediately rose, killing me. There were also a few times where the ghosts would really pounce on you pretty instantaneously.
Overall, this is a great game. I even went back to play it some more today after playing it yesterday.
Adding to what other people have said, it sometimes feels like enemies kill you unfairly, but the platforming controls are tight and it's really fun to try and get as low as possible!

Cool and very addicting game! :D Music is wonderful and so is the graphics! Stellar work!
Other than the slippery controls, this is a solid spelunk-like! Great tunes, good atmosphere, and plenty of challenge. I liked it
What to say is simply addictive, a very well worked out set, combining audio + graphics + programming, it was not to be expected less than that in such a competent team, a big hug to everyone, I await feedbacks.

Amazing entry! Loved the graphics and the music fits nicely creating a spooky atmosphere. Very fun gameplay and the leaderboard keeps you hooked. Great job!
Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! Sorry I wasn't able to get to it when you were around. If you'd like to watch the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1008724129
The overall mood and feel of the game is pretty good and I like the score board element. Makes it really motivating to try and get good at the game. There seems to be a pretty steep curve though. Your map generation works pretty well and with the ceiling coming down there is a real sense of urgency and progression. The biggest gripe I would have is with the enemies there are a lot right from the get go and it feels like the best solution is to just run and kill maybe one or two if you can edge them in, but since you lose your ball with no way to retrieve it over time or anything it feels almost too risky to attack sometimes. Most of the deaths at first felt pretty unfair, but then the more I played and better I got the less it felt cheap and the more I felt there was a way out most of the time but that feeling still came around time to time, usually due to level design at that point I think. I think both the levels and the enemies work on their own, but maybe there is a better balance to be achieved here.

Great work! The audio & graphics were neat, and throwing the ball was nice & I liked the way you could get multiple balls along! The high gravity made it a bit hard to see where I was falling, which caused me to fall right onto enemies at times. I think some new enemy types could add a lot to this.

The movement is too fast which makes the game too difficult for me, but it is really cool anyway

Overall:4.0 Fun:4.0 Innovation:3.0 Theme:5.0 Graphics:4.0 Audio:4.0 Humor:3.0 Mood:5.0
I love the spiders and the monsters that come up from the ground. The animation cycles are superb... overall the artwork is great, atmospheric, moody, cute, and fun.
The gameplay is great- I know you saw us fail to get very far a bunch of times and of course we addressed that we wanted a bit more of a precursor info for the deaths that occurred when falling fast, but overall I think you really nailed the gameplay here. I really enjoyed it and honestly could see myself high-score-hunting for a good few hours with a gameplay loop like this.
I super duper love the fairy-throw mechanic, including the ability to recover them and also that they disappear after a period of time if you do not pick them up.
The shining star of this game, for me, was the tim-burton-esque backing soundtrack. Whoever did this absolutely has a knack for it and wow- that was mighty impressive and fun to listen to.
Overall I am very happy with this game and glad I got to play it! Thank you very much for bringing this by our stream and letting us play!
P.S. I will send you a link to the gameplay as soon as I get it uploaded to YouTube. Thanks again!
I enjoyed this one. It's challenging, and has a nice mechanic of throwing and chasing after your weapon. The ghosts were so annoying though.
Game is very promising and has several very interesting ideas that work well together. Unfortunately it has several very annoying problems.
There are 3 enemies each unique, each has a nice idea and each has a flaw which ruins it a bit.
Spiders are very cool but thier string was often invisible until I was very close to them. I don't know if that was a glitch or intended behaviour but dying because of spawning spiders directly beneath you is very annoying.
Mole monsters or whatever they don't have visible enough indicator when they are going out. I'm not sure that it is great idea to have them wake up only when you walk over them because it is quite hard to kill them that way. Possible solutions might be that they are visible always and get out soon after you step on them or have them always be outside or have them go outside in regular intervals. Also they spawn beneath crystals :(
When we talk about inability to kill enemy ghosts are number one. You can't shoot through walls and they are often hiding in walls, especially when they are under you. Changing their pathfinding or making them use walls only when neccesary or having "ghost bullets" or some sort of mechanism for killing things in walls might fix things. Ghosts (which can go through walls) are either very hard enemy or hard to design well.
I sometimes had problems with shooting close range. Weapons would maybe work somewhat better in more open spaces / bigger spaces. Killing monsters was kinda pointless too. Adding some effect like additional points or ball getting stronger or something would be cool.
Music was great but I had to turn the volume down because ghosts sound like annoying fly (everything else sounds great). Ambient is great.
Despite all the flaws game was enjoyable most of the time so it really is promising idea and execution wasn't that bad there is just room for improvement.
Thanks for letting me play your game on stream! [Here's that clip.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1009307903?t=1h42m10s) Once again, it was very consistent in its own spooky/Tim Burton-esque theme and fits the jam theme well. The weapon mechanic of not boomeranging was interesting and I could see getting used to it, especially if we had more paths to choose from versus often only having one way down blocked by the spider you just threw your orb past. As you noticed during stream, the orbs did tend to spawn a lot in inaccessible cubbyholes meaning I usually had fewer weapons than the game balance probably planned for. Otherwise, spiders spawning directly under you was the main thing that broke the flow when I did finally get moving more quickly. But altogether, the mood was spot-on and this is a functional challenging jam game. Well done!

Well done on this game, it was very well polished! Only feedback I got is angry spider spawns and maybe wall off the left and right side of rooms at the end, so its more noticeable that its blocked. ^^
Well done, very challenging, but I'd love to see how it plays with some hand made levels as opposed to procedural generation

Olá amigos brasileiros! Gostei bastante do jogo que vocês fizeram. Foi um interpretação do tema bem interessante. Gostei dos gráficos, toda parte visual é bem agradável. O som também é bom. A jogablidade é simples e divertida. Em geral eu achei uma experiência bem legal. Parabéns pelo feito!
Cool game. Very simple to understand. There's a lot of things that want to kill me!
It's kind of tricky to move down the caves because we cant see below. It does add tension, but doesn't feel good when falling into a monster. Sometimes I'm getting killed by something I can't see in the darkness.
The music is appropriately spooky for being hunted by creepies. Haunted chimes and bells, spooky strings. Very nice.
Visually the game looks good, but some of the darker tiles are hard to see in the darkness.
I didn't do very well, sometimes being killed by spiders dropping on my head, or diggers eating my legs!
Good job on your game everyone!
Cool and Nice Game. The Graphics and The mood are really execptional and the COntrolls are OK, maybe the Jump is a bit too fast and feels weird.
What I would like is not to die on every hit. Maybe if you have a Ball with you, this could count as Life as long as its with you. So you would have a bit of Risk Management there.
Overall pretty good and well done.

I would appreciate some difficulty progression. Also restarting with keyboard would speed up restarting. But the orbs can be thrown...

Overall a very lovely little jam and a lovely product.
Graphics are simple and clear. Not always as seamless but very clear.
Game design it is very simple and effective. Borders might stand out a bit more as non passable from farther away. And falling multiple stories at once felt a bit too forgiving??? but I do love the growing amount of enemies trying to haunt you. A slight bit more polish/particles/enemy intent visibility would do wonders. Although it did feel a bit cheap getting killed out of nowhere.
One thing I would love to see expended upon is the nightmare part. Maybe try more creepy/haunting levels/art???

I liked the enemy designs and the music! The leaderboards really motivated me to continue on. I got 13th! I think I got around 254!
While the gameplay is not forgiving and I wish there was a way to kill things other than the crystals I cannot control, this is overall a good game!
Well done entry! It was a great way to start off a stream. The game is tough, but the way it lets you try again instantly is much appreciated. The graphics and sounds are tied wonderfully together, and the gameplay kept me constantly on my toes. Here's the stream where I played the game:

I really loved this one I came back to it trying to get on the leaderboards but the highest I could get is 222 XD
Gameplay is great, theres a lot of really solid ideas that come together nicely with the ball mechanic, the different enemies, level gen, and even the crystals! The sounds and music was great and everything just fit well together
Here are some ideas if you plan on working on a post jam version! -**Telegraph the spider spawning** in for longer (these guys ruined so many of good runs and there was nothing I could do about it when they spawn directly beneath me). Maybe telegraph ghost spawning too, but they were less of an issue I think -I couldnt **throw ball below if Im standing on the block**. I didn't realized this until way later. It seemed like I couldnt throw the ball at random times and this is probably what was happening. Even if it doesnt seem like there's any reason for the player to throw the ball straight down while on a block, I don't think you should take that freedom away from the player. (Same with throwing in tiles to the side of you) -The **particles when you kill the enemies** felt a little out of place -The **brown blocks** on some of the chunks didn't **contrast** well against the background so they were easy to miss -**Start the player with the ball** so you dont need to pick it up at the start every time (or put it on the right side since there is always a path on the right side)
This is just a bunch of minor things, you guys made a really fun game and I hope you continue working on it!

Very interesting mechanic with the light orbs, a little confusing but cool. Maybe some type of tutorialization in the level design to explain mechanics at the start of the game would help. The enemies are pretty unforgiving so maybe some sort of feedback to show the enemies like the spider would be cool to add to help the player. <3

It's a very polished game for a short amount of time! Liked limited ammo mechanic! I really missed a goal before going endless! Something like get to 100 pts - and you will see end screen, then you can go endless! Overall very solid entry! Graphics and audio are top-notch! Thank you!

What a nice game! I really liked the graphics and music, it was really feating and gave a great mood to the whole game.
The difficulty was a bit high for me, I could get a score over 93! The fact that the spiders were following me accross plateforms was really tricky, I think it would work better if they stay at the same depth once they appear. Having to get your particules back each time you throw it was also a bit teadious.
Once again, a really nice game, just a bit too difficult for me. Good job on your team!

Thanks for sharing the game with me. The audiovisuals are top notch and the world generator is quite impressive for a jam game. The gameplay is a bit too harsh, combining low fov with extreme gravity, making many deaths seemingly chance-based (although, granted, my gaming skills are quartered when I'm streaming). I also think the ball should be easier to retrieve.
Loved the music a lot!! Was fun and very challenging!! The art and lighting was great too! Really awesome work on this one!! :D

I really enjoyed the presentation of this game, it reminded me a lot of Hollow Knight or something Tim Burton would make, very cool. There's some solid platforming in this as well, the movement of the character was nice and smooth and I also liked the feel of the attack balls. Add to that procedurally generated levels and a leaderboard and you have a really cool game. Awesome work. :)
Had a lot of fun playing this game on-stream:
https://youtu.be/PUjYc80SDag?t=2942
There's a lot of subtle details implemented in the game I really like. I appreciate the balls are programmed to bounce towards Bubbly. The controls are reactive, and the jump arc is satisfying. Lighting and artwork is great, and for the most part, enemy movement are well-telegraphed and predictable. Having all these information and conveniences really helps create a tight and fun platforming rogue-like experience.
I'm not without some criticisms, though. I did think the way some enemies spawn was a bit unfair. In particular, the way ghosts and spiders spawn in, I felt, were too quick and easy to die from. I also thought the myopic default lighting and a camera that lags behind the player made it difficult to see very far, creating circumstances where I thought I was making blind jumps. I would have liked to see the camera either provide a better look-ahead algorithm, or allow the player to control the placement by moving the mouse cursor to where they want to focus on. Finally, I thought the dying animation is too long. I would like a faster respawn process so I can get back to the game faster!
