hi i was unable to play this due to an error. please let me know if it gets fixed :)
worked now, thanks! yeah this was a nostalgia trip, the sounds the gfx all reminded me of the early PC games i played from when i used to sneak on the brothers PC when i was like 8 YO
This has the solid makings of a great survival game. My main complaint was the blury view in the water but once i realised you need to find goggles it went from a bad feature to a good one. the Art was on point and was fitting to the theme, i never got to the end after 10+ attempts but thats cause im bad :P
This game!!!! one of my fave so far, i played this on a stream and the creator watched and im pretty sure he was laughing menacingly. this is a purposly hard game and it is very well polished. has some humor behind it and has a lot of mechanics in it that were executed very well.
what a great and infuriating game! love the art and the quite unique mechanic to it :) well done!
i think this is up there as one of my fave games. the mechanics were both unique and fun. And the large bug/Boss mechanics were on par with mario and crash bandicoot style bosses. do something to expose weaknesss etc
this game is just chill. the music complimented the type of game really well and i really enjoyed playing, the art was simple but nice
This was a really viusally great game, the mechnics all worked and it fit the theme well. great job
visually this was great, i struggled with the gameplay. i felt like i scanned a lit with no outcome, maybe a few extra aliens or less scanning required.
I liked this game, You went with dwarves and a dungeon which was my appreach too so props for that, it fit the theme well, the animations were decent and had a great concept. reminded me of Star Dew Valley Dungeons which i find fun, i know there are likely better references out there but its all i got. i found the middle button emote and the OTT ragdoll physics humerous and made the game funner. The arrows didnt go exactly where you hoped but after adjusting aim to compensate i got the hang of it, i would have loved a parry system. great foundations of a game.
Yeti Sports vibe! my only complaint with this was the flap mechanic buggged on occastion the fact this was made from nothing in 48 hours is humbling as hell.
now this isnt my type of game, however it was very well executed. it throws you in a bit at the deep end a tutorial level would have been great, but the devs advised time affected decision. the statistics etc must have been difficult to code and get right in a short period. and the art style was unique. with a subliminal style flash of fishes etc.
fun game! the art wasnt amazing but the mechanics were solid and the adition of a narative not just a make us money was an intresting approach. the programming on this deserves a lot of respect, the dev advised he did it in a day also which adds to its impressivness
I love the 'art' of this game, its MS paint at its finest but it adds to its charm. the lighting effects and darkening of the water as you go deeper were also on point.
not gunna lie the coffee mug got me. but great point and click game, the fact its a COMPO game is highly impressive
This game was done by an artist and it shows. the game itself had a few bugs in it but what is showcased well here is the art and sound. Both done by the user for the Jam. they would certainly make a good pairing with a programmer for the next LD to make a decent Pixel game!
COULD NOT GET PAST THAT 500 MARK!!! was a fun game with a scoreboard to add a competative edge to it. Really good fun. the Art and feel of that 60's vibe was spot on
Short but sweet, art and sounds worked together really well, and the character controller was spot on.
The sound and Visuals of this are amazing. the gaemplay was solid and the visuals managed to take what people consider the most default character shape (in unity anyway) and make it look good just with post processing and partacles/lighting. RECCOMEND RUNNING LOCALLY i got lag on webgl when partacles were about.
This was great fun, straight up what you see is what you get but im fine with that, The graphics were simple but worked well, and just a fun accidentally lost 15 mins game.
this was a very solid game, the fact it was made from scratch is great, unfortunatly im not very good at it! great concept but even after going back to it i couldnt get to the red area!
This game was interesting and fun. I loved the ard style of 2d enemies and 3d world it gave of a classic doom feel, the thing that stood out tfor me here was the Audio, if u made it yourself or not, the blending of it when action started etc was done to perfection. the trap door on the 4th level i think, that made me jump!. Decent concept and stuck well with the theme
This was good fun, decent concept and great execution. it hit the theme on the head. has a bit of humor in the art and the sound effects. just a fun game. Beer was hard to come by, but generally is in the middle of a mine lol
this game looked the part, the atmosphere was intense. i was a little scared to proceed lol
very well polished game, love a good stealth mechanic.
This was a well polished roguelike. great art style, great sounds, and a great execution of game mechanics.
This was a dark ass game. but i really enjoyed playing. the controller and the gun mechanics were on point and the chests that gave health an ammo were spread really well.
This was one of my faves. It has the workings of a good mobile game. the mechanics worked well, the art style was nice and it was very well polished. the roots growing mechanics felt so realistic, even though ive never seen a root grow that fast but you get my point. VERY well made.
fun to play, retro feel was great and very well made. thanks for brining it to my attention :) that bloody bunny!!!
This was a fun lystery game. the art was simple but nice. nice little twist but i got stuck for a while at the axe . as previously mentioned about the letter box a couple more hints would be great maybe timed ones if the player is being slow like me. this is also something i wish i put in my game so you are not alone on that one lol.
mixed feelings of creeped out and cute, was a great game to play, i had to see both endings, the bad ending really just killed it with the lack of audio after all the sounds throughout . it hit me hard
great platformer but damn hard!! really enjoyed this.
this was a fun game, it has some janky art but that adds to it in my opinion. and the audio was 10/10 in humor. i did hit a slight snag when i was caught between a literal rock and hard place with no dynomite but honestly with games like this the jankier the better.
this was good fun and a decent entry. even though silhouette art style it had decent gaps in the terraint that made images. the concept was decent a couple of bugs with the boxes that slowed me down but a fun entry all the same.
Thanks for all the feedback so far! Im' really glad most of you liked it, and im glad that some of you critique it so much, it shows you played it thoroughly. 90% of the issues you raised were on my radar but time got the better of me :(
@glaikunt Thanks. i need to work on the character contoller. you will have to wait till LD49 to find out what happens!, jokes.
@martiniano-marelli, Thanks for playing, theres a few things id have liked to have ironed out, the voice line that tells you was because i didnt have time to reprompt thr riddle incase u missed it, was easier to code than a timer. or i thought it was at the time :P
@stephen-scott-day Appreciate you not tanking my ratings. I didn't notice the bad colliders on the platform right at the end.
@j0ye you should have seen my original plan it had 10 levels! From all the youtube vids about jams i have watched, overscoping is always an issue early days of joining jams :P.
It is frustrating that some of these bugs i could fix in 2 minutes but didn't give myself enough time to test it thuroughly. i think i might recruit a friend to be my tester next time.
As for the stair mechanic. that was an 11th hour change that broke that. the real way to do it involved a column. Thats all i will say.
Once again thanks for all the feedback, positive and negative means a lot.
This is an example of simple mechanics working. Top Down shooters are always satisfying and this game shows that. The use of lighting/partacles/postprocessing to give the camera that 'trip' feeling the further you got was very good. decent use of reusing levels with variation. my main criticism was no UI so i had no clue about what these hearts were doing, how much damage i was getting from the enemies etc. Assume that was due to time so can relate to that. All around a fun experience
P.S. i would consider using Zip instead of Rar for ease of extraction.
i really liked how responsive the controls were with the ship, you had just the right amount of drag, the visauls were really nice. expecially the black hole. too bad i sucked at it :P
This was more of an artpiece than a game. while it had some missing guide mechanics it was a thing of beauty with both sound and visuals. and also sent a strong message.
So this game was interesting. it wasnt till i saw the trump looking goblin poser i realised this whole game is trick. the art style was nice, i got real windows98 maze screensaver vibes. it was a little slow, i liked the mechanic of the guys pushing you back the way u came maybe have a staircase spawn behind you as they push you to make time more a factor to escape them. also got some Superhot Vibes from the npc's and the post processing and sound effects. Solid Entry!.
Very clever concept. it took me a moment to figure out what the deal was but once i got into it i really enjoyed. WASD seide of keys didnt seem to work correctly.
@babadesbois Still a great game and concept, it didnt influence my rating :)
im very impressed with how well the generated mase plays out, i played it quite a bit and only once did i get a VERY easy mission, i like what the devs did with the theme, because its top down you cant get a sense of going deeper but then u are slapped in the face with a funny cutscene of a guy falling deeper.that thud got me everytime.
This did reusing content right! basically newgame+ each time you complete it. the game was somewhat unforgiving but had enough checkpoints to not be rage worthy, the art was on point and had more than meets the eye with decent animations that if you watched carefully showed that this game was from 2021 not 1980. the music was a great choice too went well with the different stages.
Also the character controller was pretty flawless, a big deal in platformers
this was just a really fun and humerous game. buy ragdolling around in his tighty whiteys grabbing clouds to fast pased music, a great and fun reactions test game.
