The music is very good. The archers don't really fit the style in my opinion but otherwise the visuals are really nice and fit the mood. Gameplay is fine but the game is easy and the level design is confusing. There is also a lack of sound effects. Overall, though, you did nice work!

Took a minute but got the game going since menu interaction is strange but I got it going here is some feedback I have for the game: I enjoyed the controls of the character but wished there was more feedback both from shooting, hitting enemies and from taking damage. Also there is no incentive to actually fight so I ran through the game with out killing anything and it seemed like the ghost enemies are having trouble actually dealing damage (I could stand next to two them without taking damage from quite some time at one point).

But if played like it was designed to play it is a decent 2d shooter game. Good job :D

Nice game, though I kind of got lost and did not know what I was supposed to do in the end. Aldo a health bar would be great ! It seems like I died a couple times but wasn't sure if I went back to the start under the influence of more drugs or got killed.

The graphics are really nice !

A really unique idea for a game - nice one! It was a little confusing what to to at first, but I got there eventually. The gameplay itself was fine, but it was difficult to understand - I sort of stumbled my way through the first playthrough, although I suppose that does fit in with the theme of the game! Having the mechanics explained more clearly definitely would've helped though, since otherwise I have no clue if I'm playing the game right or not. Kind of unrelated, but a way to exit the game or at least get back to the menu to quit would've been great as well.

The graphics were nice, if a little inconsistent at times. The archers, ghosts, and player sprites all had different styles, and all clashed when placed in the same room. The rest of the graphics were nice, though, and I did enjoy the gradually increasing effects throughout the game. I would've liked it if they were a bit less extreme on the menu though - it did make things hard to read.

The game, overall, was a nice little experience though, and you did a great job making it, so well done!

This is an example of simple mechanics working. Top Down shooters are always satisfying and this game shows that. The use of lighting/partacles/postprocessing to give the camera that 'trip' feeling the further you got was very good. decent use of reusing levels with variation. my main criticism was no UI so i had no clue about what these hearts were doing, how much damage i was getting from the enemies etc. Assume that was due to time so can relate to that. All around a fun experience

P.S. i would consider using Zip instead of Rar for ease of extraction.

I loved the atmosphere of this game! It's so trippy. It would be nice to have a health bar, but overall i like it! Great job

@cakestorm thank you so muchhh for your feedback ♥ I'll make a tutorial of sorts, because it is really confusing. I got the same feedback from others. We'll work on UI better on main menu and make a pause menu. The enemies were the last thing I worked on, we had a problem with a member so I had to help the programmer with some stuff. The archer is a free asset, that's why it is so different. It should all be ghost-like creatures. Thank you again for your feedback ♥♥♥♥

As our game is kinda trippy as well, I wanted to play your to experience a different style of "trippy" and it was so cool! As many people mentioned, some tutorial and a health bar would be usefull but I had fun nonetheless! Really cool game :D The music was also great

The graphics and the visual effects are so pleasing! Really great vibes in this game and it's fun to play! I really like that the first screen is the back of the character so there's a nice surprise reveal. Collisions could be a point of improvement for a post-LD version, but as a 72 hour project this was definitely a smooth and immersive gaming experience!

I really liked the game, I thought the idea was really cool and especially the music that gives a good vibe to the game and the effects were also very matching with the atmosphere of the game, but something that bothered me a lot was the collisions with the scenery objects, they are kind of buggy

Another thing I think I could have is a life bar, or some feedback that your life is low

Oh, and some boxes have a buggy platform game physics

Loved how hyperactive it ended up being, and didn't expect all the evolutions! Lifebar is definitely missing, but it still was a pleasurable game. Big up for the flying furniture xD

I have to say it definitely was interesting to see how trippy it could get. The clutter in each scene that had colliders though was a little frustrating, the different enemy types were cool. Some indication of health was nice as I didn't feel I was in any danger. Keeping the art styles consistent would have been nice as well but I did enjoy the pixel art and the effects were used well. The molotov enemy type really made it interesting to fight. Really great audio too.

Nice classic shoot 'em up. I really like the music, and the theme interpretation of going deeper into a trip. The pickups that change the visual style were also pretty cool. The bow characters looked a little incongruous with the rest though. The shooting also felt a little floaty (though thinking about it now, maybe that fits the theme better). Overall, solid entry!

The game has a good potential, I think that the bigger issue is that it lack of clarity (hit, hp, but especially the transision between two scenes which are very brutal, making it really hard to understand what's happening sometimes and making me switch between scenes a lot without wanting to do it). You did a good work with the music and the pixel art tho, the loop idea works really well and the lights/colors effects are extremely good, so overall it's a pretty nice entry :)

I absolutely love how ridiculous this game gets. The screen filters get more and more ridiculous, and I almost wish there were more filters being added than just pumping up the chromatic aberration. The RGB particles are a great touch too! It reminds me of an incredibly old concept I had for a game called "Pretty Princess Acid Trip". Outstanding work!

Hey very nice idea for a game! I loved the colors, the graphics and the effect on the edge of the camera! Just few tips for the future: add some music and sound effects. Also, the game could be less repetitive, everytime that I was going for the biggest portal I was expecting something new, new enemies, new maps, but it was everything the same! That stops me out trying after passed 3 maps. Good game, keep with the work!

Cool game, has similar elements to my game. I got stuck on one of the stages. I like the character and the vibe, I'm thinking of remaking my game, wondering if the top down camera works for the gameplay or if I should switch to metroidvania style. Some benefits (trade options in directional movement and perspective for faster paced game play and less prompting) might make the pacing better for my game. Not sure if that applies here.
