This is a great short game!

This is a great short game!
I don't have any issues that previous comments didn't already mention. Overall I think the game is good. The ending was especially well done.
Very innovative use of windows! Seems to slow down while moving them, though. Pretty cool music and art.
Points for the very dark humor. Unfortunately, the game did seem to lock up when I tried to restart the game after failing.
You did a good job with the assets you used, they really fit together. Found the game a little boring, though, but that's probably just a taste thing. Lack of background music is a problem, it would've helped with the atmosphere.
I love the contrast of the cutesy style and very difficult gameplay. Nice work!
Very nice art style and nice use of theme. Gameplay was a little confusing, though, and there was a lack of feedback when the towers damaged the enemies. Good to see a tower defense game.
Good look, nice art and effective background music that sets the mood. Combat was very difficult to figure out because of a lack of feedback.
I haven't seen many RTS games in this jam and this one is quite competent, so good job! Lack of background noise (either sound effects or music) makes the game feel a little lifeless, though.
Losing limbs (and abilities) is an interesting implementation of the theme. Background music and in-game art is good, but the images used in menus look out-of-place. The game may also be a little too unforgiving.
Not a huge fan of turn-based games but I very much appreciate the work done here! Good art and atmosphere.
Very funny game, though the use of theme wasn't immediately apparent. Fun to drive around and hit the monsters, though, so  (An engine sound for the car would have been a good addition)
The graphics are simple but effective. Random generation of the levels is a good idea, but some levels seem unsolvable. Good use of the jam's theme. Lack of any kind of sound is a bummer.
The game looks and sounds amazing, though I got tired of the gameplay fairly quickly. Maybe the normal people should've had less health? Felt like killing them took forever. The player character may also be a little slow. For a jam game, though, this is great!
I agree with everything the people before me have said. Confusing game, awkward camera controls and inconsistent platforming.
It's a good looking game for sure, and atmospheric. I felt like the starter enemies had a little too much health, though. Took a little too long to kill. Otherwise, a good jam game!
Played the post-jam version. This is a very good jam game! It looks nice, the music is good enough and the damage effects are cool. Nice usage of theme, too. The only negative criticism I have is that player movement may be a little too slow.
Interesting.
Adorable art and good music! Visual novels aren't really for me, but I kept going because of the looks. Nice work!
Confusing gameplay, very little feedback when using the various attacks. Lack of sound really hurts the mood. Not a bad concept, though.
Thank you all for your kind words! Yes, we thought the idea of a restaurant full of people opening fire on you after taking food was very funny too, so we just made that!
@oune Yes, the chairs might be a little too close together in some places. They are tricky to position
The visuals are really cute, the sound effects were nice and the music fit the game very well. The boxes were a little frustrating, though.
Also, I think the tone of the game could be considered a little dark (especially with the chef at the end). Not sure if that's a bad thing or a good one.
Certainly a very nice looking game. I'm not sure the music fits the game and some sound effects would've improved the experience by a lot. Good effort, though!
Fits the theme, has nice music and functional visuals. For a first game, it's a very good effort. Some sound effects would've improved things a lot, which is something you should keep in mind for the future.
The game is really weird in a way that I do like a lot, but can't say I actually enjoyed it that much. The hand-drawn art was pretty nice, but the blurry pixel art levels really don't look that good and don't match the rest. The gaps in the background music loop and the lack of sound effects hurt the experience as well. The writing was good, though.
Don't get me wrong, I still think that you've done an admirable job here. Making any kind of video game is very difficult, especially when you only have 72 hours to do it.
I was not expecting this game to be so addictive! It's fun to play, looks cute and sounds good, too. I would have liked some explanation as to how much the upgrades cost and how they work/help, but otherwise the game is great!
@greyvan Thank you so much for your feedback!
What you noticed is actually not a bug. You do not have to kill all enemies on the screen to proceed once you reach the cave.
The retro look, darkness and music make the game very atmospheric. However, I don't think the creatures fit the visual style and also the gameplay, though a nice idea, wasn't very engaging. I stopped playing after a monster killed me instantly and I didn't know if I was actually hurting it with the sword. Do not let these comments discourage you, this game is still a nice effort!
The enemies are brutal, especially the squids. They will ruin your day very quickly. I don't necessarily find that fun, though. The game does look nice and the background music is very fitting. The potential is there though and this game is impressive for a jam game, so nice work!
The music is very good. The archers don't really fit the style in my opinion but otherwise the visuals are really nice and fit the mood. Gameplay is fine but the game is easy and the level design is confusing. There is also a lack of sound effects. Overall, though, you did nice work!
All the music is very good and the art is nice, too (except for the "Defeat" and "Victory" screens). Some sound effects for the digging and asteroids would have been nice, I think. Gameplay is fine but I think the digging is slightly too slow, though this is of course a matter of taste. Overall a good jam entry!
EDIT: Agreed with a previous comment that there could be more asteroids.
A charming game! Though, some sound effects would have been nice.
The sound makes the mood very tense, so well done there! The graphics and controls were fine as well. However, I found playing the game a little confusing. I don't know if I would have let players turn the energy stations off after turning them on. It also was not obvious what the batteries are needed for.
I don't know if the game is meant to be silent but it was for me. Some sound effects would have been good. I also had trouble keeping track of my health. Maybe there could be a visual effect when taking damage? The ships look very nice, though, and the gameplay is otherwise fun enough.
A very good entry. The game looks very nice and the darkness and sound make it very atmospheric. I did not get the sense that I was "delaying the inevitable", though.
The jump is very floaty, but that was my only real problem with the gameplay. The game looks very nice, though, and the music is very good. Nice jam game!
