@hollebecq-baptiste thank you!!! You're very kind :heart:
I like it, it's entertaining
@fedeolive Thank you!! :heart:
The soundtrack is amazing, and some mechanics are really really clever, I love the fact that being linked to several ghosts gives you buffs. Little suggestion, maybe you should make the wave a bit harder but make the player a bit more powerful, like higher mobility and damages, so the chaos can be bigger. Great entry.
Wow! Really slick style and presentation, was floored by how good this game looks, plays good too! Nice work.
looooooooool que bueno¡
@lukas-mayer thank you so much!!! You're right!! I think we could increrase the difficulty of the game... we tested it and it was TOO HARD, so we made it a little easier.... lol, it accidentally got a little bit too easy... I hope we can fix this for future entries!!! Thank you for your feedback!!! :heart:
@kent-reese Thank you so much!!! :heart:
@santiago-lafosse gracias! :heart:
This is a fun take on the protect-your-allies concept! If you wanted to expand on it, I'd suggest giving the player some sort of ability to modify the movement or buff types of the allies (e.g. during the pre-wave prep time). It'd open it up for a more strategic experience.
That final level difficulty ramped up though hahaha. Yeah great entry, balance needed, and the battling mechanic needs some brushing up.
The graphics are great, your engine is great!!!!! can't stress that enough. My computer is a potato and I was actually able to lower the graphics and execute the game well!!! (unlike Unity and unreal....)
Thank you for making it!
@ankou Thank you so much!!! You are right, I think it would be a lot of fun to make it more strategic, maybe we can use the time before each wave better! Thank you for the feedback! :heart:
@exevirus Thank you so very much!!! Well... we actually used Unreal LOL!! But we worked VERY hard to make everything as low as possible, and we took the time to make the menu where you could change settings to make it even lower, just in case the game would turn out heavier than we intended! I am so glad you enjoyed it!!! I hand-painted everything (including normal maps), so listening to this kind feedback makes me so happy!!! :heart:
Really neat game. I like the idea of having different abilities based on who you're linked to. One nitpick I have to give is not letting the lock-on change to the nearest enemy and rather let the player toggle between targetable enemies. Otherwise, good job!
I alawys find 3d games made in these short jams so impressive. Im sure alot of people find it easy but I'm just astounded by it owo. Its fun to play; like previous comments it can get easy but I enjoy that cause I'm not that good at games, but for more challenge that would be somthn to change. As is it's great uwu!!!!
Nice Job!
super fun
I had a hard time figuering out how to play your game, or better said, how it worked. But once I got the hang of it, it was quiet fun :) The music is just lovely and fitting your style. Good job man :)
Nice graphics but still can be improved this game should be continued i loved the graphics a lot. Keep going keep improving
I didn't really figure out how I could make sure I would be using a certain type of attacks maybe by being close to a certain type of a friendly character? I don't know and it doesn't really matter either because the game was good and the controls were intuitive and great. Easy to get hang of and it was fun to play. Great concept and a great entry!
I really like this concept. Could be a good game in the future. Also like the art style. I think, gameplay here should be more dynamic and fast-passing. Also SFX would be a great improvement. Looks pretty awesome! Enjoyed playing it to the end!
I found the mechanics innovative although a bit confusing at first. Unfortunately I encountered a bug where enemies would just stand there after spawn waiting for me to kill them. Music was nice but I think including some sound effects would improve the game a lot. graphics are nice but maybe a bit too dark, I was struggling to see what's on the screen in some rooms.
The graphics were really nice, the idea of getting powerups from conected allies was cool, I'm not 100% sure of how it works yet but it was interesting. Great job.
@alaska thank you very much for the feedback!! :heart:
@thedoctoroftime Ooooh I think 2d games are impressive hahahahah! I mean... you have to draw everything aaaack seems too much work for 72h!! I tested your game too, I think THAT is hard! To make a simplistic game look fun and engaging is no easy thing to do, and you did it so well!!! Thank you for the feedback :heart:
@zer0-games thank you! :heart:
@isaque-picao-sanches thank you! :heart:
@raphnika thank you so much for the feedback! :heart:
@shubh thank you so much for the feedback! We tried to keep everything ad low poly as we could hahaha :heart:
@miroreflect Aaaah thank you so much for the kind words and feedback!!! Makes me so happy, thank you! :heart:
@alex-karev thank you for the feedback!!! We surely could use some SFX... unfortunately our "sound guy" was also our programmer hahahahaha so he had really short time to do everything... we can try to improve it for next entries!! Thank you :heart:
@vatigo Thank you so much!!! I am sorry you encountered a bug >< ... as for SFX, I agree... >< I wish we had enough time to make some.... thank you for yout feedback, we'll try to improve it for next time! :heart:
Really well made and completed it. Liked the different power ups determined on who you were connected to.
Very original and the right click came in handy a load to lock on, great little touch to help the player.
Well thought and really well done. Great job!!!
@jangamesdev thank you so much!! We tried to make "tutorial" as minimal as possible so the player would figure things out slowly, but didn't came out as we wanted hahahaha thank you for the feedback! :heart:
@yeti-kid Thank you so much for the feedback!!! Seriously, thank you so much! :heart:
Really fun mechanic. I thought it was cool how once the things you try to keep alive turn they buff the enemy. I also liked the environmental design and how the controls are painted on the ground instead of reading a board of text. It makes it feel a lot more natural. Good job!
Good job! Nice mechanics
The fight system mechanic is very cool and dynamic !
And the music is nice too, but I think that a more dynamic music would fit better the gameplay sequence. Moreover, the missing feedback sounds missed me a lot, indeed, I couldn't feel as much as wanted the power of my punches.
The graphics are pretty good ! Overall, nice work !
A competently put together entry with technically ambitious presentation. Also way too easy and boring as a result.
The life link mechanic is not explained anywhere, but it seems simple enough. Getting close to allies lends the ghost abilities, yet I still don't understand if there's supposed to be some kind of a maximum link distance. I was able to link with every ally in the largest level even through walls?! That last observation makes little sense.
Tactical positioning would make the running around and attacking phantoms part (which is the only part there is!) more interesting. For instance, if there were different types of phantoms, which could only be defeated by a certain kind of attack or even combination of attacks, then positioning and luring the phantoms close to the needed allies would change the dynamic of the battlefield completely. Forcing the played to think a little is always a positive in my book.
Less mindless spam on the menu next time and you'll have a great jam project. Good job on the audio-visuals already.
@huvaakoodia Thanks for the honest feedback, but I really did not get the last part. (The mindless spam one)
@ianlux Oh ahh, just a figure of speech I guess. Less repetitive input spam in the combat and more tactics, is what I was trying to get across. Cheers!
A good idea and implementation. Icons are sometimes confused. A bow is a close attack)
I found the gameplay a bit hectic, felt like I didn't know what I was doing but was still making progress. Not sure whether because of pure luck or maybe the bonuses I received did not influence the gameplay that much. Buuuuut, I have to congratulate you on the atmosphere you created in this game. I didn't realize how much the great music contributes to it until it stopped playing at one point, but luckily resumed later on :smile:. I don't have any experience with 3D graphics but I assume this must have taken quite some effort to put together. Overall, I think it's a great little game, if you pursue this further, maybe add some tutorial stuff at the beginning and maybe find a way to make particular power up combos important in some situations. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from you. Cheers!
Very well done! This is one of the more complex entries I have played. There is a lot of content here, which is very impressive. The graphics look nice, and there are plenty of animations and effects. The music is great (although if a level takes too long, the music won't loop and you will be left in complete silence until the next level).
The different types of attacks were interesting, but I kinda just mashed until everything was dead. I didn't feel like the different attacks mattered that much.
I did find a glitch on the hard level. The enemy AI seemed broken. They never moved or attacked...
Even with that, I still loved this game. Very well done!
This was fun, and I really liked the aesthetics! I appreciated the knockback when you hit enemies, but I think the game would have benefited a lot from sound effects when you attack/hit an enemy, just to make the combat feel more engaging. I also liked how there was a brief period at the start of each level to look at your available allies and strategize a little, although to be honest I never figured out the difference between the sword and crossbow icons. Also, I had the same glitch as Bodaciouslycrazy where the enemies in the small room (hard level) didn't move. Overall though great work, this was a cool entry!
Great work! I loved the music! While the lack of sound effects was less than optimal, the silent actions behind midi music gave it a CD-ROM game kinda feel to it. Like a Myst or something. The concept was pretty fun but I was never quite 100% sure I fully understood what I was doing :)
Really, the only negative point I can come up with is that there are no sound effects. Adding some of them would be a huge improvement. Otherwise, this is a fantastic jam game!
Sooo i held the left mouse button and played through the first stage not touching anything else. Then in the second one no one was moving so we chilled for a bit and then the timer ran out so i was like "meh" and killed the dudes so the exit would open up. Then in the third stage i waited if something would happen if one of the "friendos" died and they didnt. Some of the props were too dark and i couldnt see why i couldt move. Also some audio feedback for actions would be super cool.
Nice rogue-like, wish some sounds, but it's still looks nice
