LD38 — A Small World

The Burrow by Stending 2017-05-02T19:49:24Z

Wow, I'm amazed at the graphics and the overall mood of this game! I was experiencing some graphical glitches in the worm cave though and at one point just decided to stop collecting coins but I did want to see how the scenery changes through progression. I was surprised when the worm suddenly transformed and later on once again.

I hope to see more like this, keep up good work!

Timeless by Chaseplays 2017-05-06T06:46:50Z

This is one amazing Compo entry! I really love the idea of switching between two rooms to get through the level and you executed it very very well. The graphics are cool and so is the music. Sometimes I'm really impressed by how much a single person can cramp up in those pesky 42 hours and this is one of those times. The difficulty gets quite hard and I have to admit that I stopped playing after getting to one of those levels with bullets where you have to time switches between rooms and jump timing perfectly to be able to get across the lava (it is lava, right?).

One of my favorite entries so far! Keep up the good work!!!

Earth Quest by Jiri_One 2017-05-14T17:29:42Z

The idea is nice, similar to our entry in some way I think. Graphics are very appealing and the music/sound is nice also, though the music loop is a bit short but it has kind of "impending doom" sound in it

What I missed is that there's no in game indicators about cost and effects of particular items player can buy/build and even though I went to read the help I didn't really memorize the costs and effects. This is definitely something that should be improved. Overall I think that it fits nicely into the theme and the mood is good as well!

Keep up the good work!

Cowmets by NickZangus 2017-05-02T13:47:32Z

Fun game, despite me being unable to catch a single cowmet. Perhaps I should just spend some more time training .

Graphics are awesome and so is the sound, especially the music that plays when you're chasing the cowmet :joy:. I'm glad I found this one through random game finder! Keep up the good work!

Protolife by icxon 2017-05-14T17:01:21Z

Wow, great adaptation of tower defense games! I love how placing the defense system is executed as it offers a lot of strategic possibilities based on orientation of defense devices and also there's quite some strategy involved in whether a player should place more defenses or upgrade existing ones. Conversion between different cellular parts is also a nice touch. I have to admit that I wasn't very good at playing it though and got killed pretty soon, hehe. Music is nice and simplistic graphics give the game some nice artistic touch, I didn't miss higher resolution graphics at all. Sounds and music are also very good and fit great in to general mood of this game.

Keep up the good work!

Happy Planet by Brickkid512 2017-05-02T15:25:06Z

Nicely done game. Perhaps a bit too easy as I found that only large clusters of enemies posed serious threat to me when they kinda cornered me at the edge of space. Overall mood is nice perhaps it would be even better if there were different kinds of enemies. Keep up the good work!

Earth Invaders by MrGussio 2017-05-02T12:36:16Z

Very nice game! I managed to live to something like 650 points when the "big one" finally got the best of the doomed planet . I like how you turned the invaders concept into "world scroller" game. One thing that should maybe be changed is to have a square viewport instead of rectangular since the asteroids coming from top or bottom can really be a pain to kill due to short time from appearing to hitting the planet. On the other hand, this does add some randomness to the game which may not be bad at all. Keep up good work and feel free to try [our entry](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/godspeed-mankind).

Last Bloom by NvrSkipGameDay 2017-05-09T20:27:16Z

This is a really nice game with great potential. I loved the graphics and the music is cool as well with the beat adding to the tempo of the game. On first try I didn't even know how to attack so I did manage to get to see the whole level

I found it pretty simple eventually to keep the bad guys of the platforms but eventually I managed to fall to my untimely demise bellow. Oh well, I guess that's one way to go

Perhaps you could add some more enemy types with different behaviors and maybe some powerups player could use to get out of hairy situations.

Keep up the good work!

Mallows World Adventure by geeitsomelaldy 2017-05-04T21:10:14Z

Nice game and great idea. I found it amazing how all those places were interconnected with one another. The graphics and music really bring out the spirit of those 80s platformers.

Congrats for putting this all together for the Compo and keep up the good work!

Planet Heist by conk 2017-05-13T15:11:44Z

Just read a nice post mortem you wrote and I really wish I could play the game. Sadly my windows crapped on me and I'll have to do a reinstall, hopefully by the end of judging so I can play your game since there's no Linux version.

The game looks very nice on the screenshots and considering the reviews of others seems to be fun as well. I'll be back with the real feedback if I manage to play it

SmallWorlds by xoidberg 2017-05-02T12:16:09Z

Nice little game! I was really struggling at first to get more than one or two jumps, but then after some lucky streak managed to get to about 2500 points. I'm not a big fan of this game type but this one has really nice atmosphere particularly due to nice "doodle" graphics. Keep it up!

Murder 38 - Episode One: A Small World by rodobodolfo 2017-05-01T09:53:35Z

This game is... AWESOME! I just loved the setting and the overall mood of it and the names... names... perfect . The end game twist was also great, putting the game spot on to the LD38 theme. Keep it up and keep more like this one coming!

Please try our entry [Godspeed Mankind](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/godspeed-mankind) and rate it. Thanks!

Raven Delivery Service by DDRKirbyISQ 2017-05-13T23:19:39Z

Very cool game! I love the graphics and the soundtrack and I wish I had someone here to test it with in co-op mode since I suck at multitasking

Great concept, the theme is spot on and I hope to see more from you. Keep up the good work!

Human Tragedy by tiffi 2017-05-06T07:21:00Z

I like! Big thumbs up for the setting and the mood. Character's occasional monologues add to game mood really well and make up for generally pretty basic mechanics. Loved the character graphics and I think the music is great as well.

As for the ending, haha, I really thought something else would happen, nice twist! Keep up the good work!

Human Tragedy by tiffi 2017-05-06T07:21:00Z

Sorry for the double post...

Throw by somethinboutgames 2017-05-02T16:45:54Z

Great idea and execution. I loved the music, it really contributes to the overall mood this game has. Considering this is a Compo entry I think you really managed to squeeze quite some quality content into it. Some levels were a bit hard but I managed to complete all of them, yaaay!

Great work, keep it up!

Rift World by Lenon Kramer 2017-05-02T16:16:18Z

Very nice game! First I had no idea how to gather resources and how to use them, but as time passed and one of my interns was wiped out I got the hang of it. With one down it was quite a struggle to get to 100% but I did it!.

Graphics are very very good, there are some glitches in task assigning it seems (check box is checked but Nick is not curing for example, but I got around it just by disabling and enabling it again). Too bad you didn't manage to do the sounds and music. This game would definitely be much better with them. But overall I think you did an impressive work for such short time. Keep it up!!!

Inside Inc. by OWC 2017-05-14T20:54:35Z

Great entry! I love both visual and audible perspective of it. The pulsating walls are nice touch and I also liked the navigation since I didn't have to bother with which way the ship was oriented when moving around. Still it was a bit to hard for me, especially when I encountered the enemies which spawned smaller ones on death. Maybe if I gave it one or two more tries I would have been able to clear the entire map instead of dying in the last room

Keep up the good work!

Space Aliens Are Coming by RealityCheck 2017-05-06T17:46:50Z

I think this is a great idea and quite well realized. Perhaps there could be more things that workers would do, then I could just watch them going about their business, living their lives, making babies, chopping down trees... and the other things... not because they are easy, but because they are hard

I read you post mortem as well as I was interested in what else you had in mind for this game. I think it doesn't matter that your original idea didn't turn out as it should, what's important is that you found the will to go with another one after spending quite some time on the first one already. I would love to see how the post LD version would look like with improved graphics and additional mechanics.

Overall it's a nice little game and you deserve big  for it. Keep up the good work!

It's A Small World And It's Gonna Get Smaller by npizzle1 2017-05-14T17:19:04Z

Nice little game which offers quite some fun. I didn't really figure out how to drop the people into the damn hole, not sure if possible at all though. Crashing about 100 people onto Area 51 was quite satisfying though

The graphics are really pretty and the music/sound is quite good as well, though the initial tune stopped playing after some time in the game. Game got really slow sometimes over Area 51 but I attribute this to poor graphics card in my laptop.

Keep up the good work!

MF100 - HACK THE JAM (old console emulator) by egordorichev 2017-05-15T16:10:28Z

Hehe, this is so cool. I loved both mini games, the pong and the hacking RPG like battle. I must admit that I didn't really feel like doing programming in LUA but you deserve big thumbs up for implementing both the language APIs and the "gimp" editor, very nice! Being a sysadmin I wish I saw more games like this and I was glad to find your post on the site today even though I remember seeing this while the jam was ongoing.

Keep up the good work!

Haven - The Small World by Iluvatar 2017-05-02T19:33:38Z

Great little game! I loved the graphics, especially the way you designed the common room. Too bad it's a bit short but hey, it's LD and time is limited. But it has potential and would love to see if you expand it post the Jam at some time. Keep up good work!

Strategic Survival by marbles 2017-05-02T12:28:04Z

I'm getting a null pointer exception when trying to run this game on windows. Hopefully this information helps you in some way (not sure if this is due to version of JRE used or something else): ``` java -jar LD38.jar Exception in thread "LWJGL Application" java.lang.NullPointerException at com.badlogic.gdx.backends.lwjgl.LwjglGraphics.createDisplayPixelFormat(LwjglGraphics.java:322) at com.badlogic.gdx.backends.lwjgl.LwjglGraphics.setupDisplay(LwjglGraphics.java:216) at com.badlogic.gdx.backends.lwjgl.LwjglApplication.mainLoop(LwjglApplication.java:142) at com.badlogic.gdx.backends.lwjgl.LwjglApplication$1.run(LwjglApplication.java:124)

java -version java version "1.8.0_131" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_131-b11) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.131-b11, mixed mode, sharing) ```

Was really looking forward to playing your game since it looks visually attractive. I'll check back later to see if the problem is fixed.

Strategic Survival by marbles 2017-05-11T21:14:36Z

Huh, took me quite some time to get back and try this game and yes, with updated jar it works! I like the concept of resource gathering and mixing it with tower defense style game. I wish there was more content because I think it has good potential and could provide quite some fun if there was more enemy types and more waves of enemies. But considering you did all of this by yourself I think it's quite an achievement to get all this together in three days. Hopefully you'll extend it some more post jam and maybe add some sounds and music to enhance the mood.

Keep up the good work!

The World of Zolcraft 🌎 by nervous-composers 2017-05-02T18:40:37Z

Nice one. I used to play WoW and yeah, sometimes it felt just like this . Nice twist on the end!

Beer in Mind by pixelstuff 2017-05-02T20:07:09Z

Great game, has huge potential in my opinion. I love the looks of the pub itself and how characters are represented (the silhouettes). I managed to kill someone on day two though, how terrible I am! :scream:

I hope you decide to finish this game! Keep up the good work!

Tiny Tony by Firewill 2017-05-20T06:49:32Z

Wow, I'm amazed by what you managed to achieve in this short time. Extremely beautiful graphics and soothing music complete the general set up for this game. Too bad that my poor laptop is not coping to good with web based version which I played so sadly I was not able to complete the game. But I can only imagine how great this would look on some large monitor in dark room with headphones on. Certainly looking forward to more games from you!

Keep up the good work!

Small World Fighters by noddingTortoise 2017-05-06T06:19:50Z

Nice game, especially the graphics are really pleasant. Had to play it solo and playing it in 4 player mode with AI it was not really a challenge to win since spamming the weapon seemed like the way to go. Didn't event try to dodge anything as kill per death ratio was more than enough with this strategy. As others suggested, overhauling the shooting mechanics should be one of the priorities and then maybe add few platforms to add additional dimension to the game.

Keep up the good work!

Timmy and the Snowflake by C0nst4ntin 2017-05-04T20:22:49Z

Too bad there is so many problems with navigation, because I really like the idea as you described in the description of a boy trying to see the snow. Sadly I didn't manage to get out and poor Timmy will have to wait for someone else to grant him his wish.

Keep working on games!

Bad RNG by FiloGC 2017-05-14T20:40:12Z

Cool game with great graphics and some nice sounds as well. Too bad my laptop really struggled with WebGL version but it was fun none the less. Perhaps a second RNG could be placed in the right part of the screen since it's not utilized at all but hey, it's a Compo entry and I think you already managed to squeeze quite a lot into it.

Keep up the good work!

Hopeless Void by Swynfel 2017-05-20T16:19:16Z

I have same problem on Linux @zarkonnen mentioned. Too bad, I was really hoping I could help you with getting 20 ratings. Keeping fingers crossed that you make it though! :fingers_crossed:

Spacey Super Shmup by misson20000 2017-05-02T15:35:09Z

I liked it even though it's a bit hard for my taste. Eventually those nasty lasers sniff me and nuke me out of existence . It's a great Compo entry with pretty basic graphics (but I think this is intentional so I consider it a plus) and nice sound. I'm think you managed to get quite some gameplay into it despite limited Compo time you had. Good work!

Invaders of Yekithar by skippuku 2017-05-06T07:00:45Z

Really cool game! The graphics are really nice, the aliens could perhaps use a little more touch but overall it great. Music is immersive and really sets up the mood for the game. And as far as the gameplay is concerned I think it's really well executed. Jumping could be polished a bit more and perhaps it would be good if it was possible to jump on the platform directly from being bellow it. What I really really liked and noticed quite soon as I begun spamming my gun on the aliens is that it has recoil and WILL push you off the platform if you resort to this tactics. Adding the coins which drop from aliens is also a nice touch though I CBA to pick them up anymore once the number of baddies grew.

Great Compo entry, keep it up!

Tomorrow or When the world is not bigger than a house by Versatile Box 2017-05-02T18:13:23Z

Wow, great idea. Reminded me of Groundhog Day movie somehow, trying to do everything right. Except that doing everything just right here takes you to the positive ending, nice!¨

Thanks for posting the hint about the shower (I actually re-downloaded the game to play it through once I knew what the shower goal is)... I was like Fu***** shower as well, just like the character in the game. By the way, does he have a name?

Graphics are really nice and the melancholic music adds to the mood of the game. Keep up good work!

Sir Shrink-A-Lot by narve 2017-05-04T20:31:37Z

Wow, I love the idea! I took me some time to figure out when it's worth shrinking and vice versa but once I did I got to enjoy few quite good runs but still I found it to be a quite hard game. Also I think that semi randomness (at least it seems so) of the levels is very cool. And that poor doctor with tear in his eyes in the intro, that was great!

Keep up the good work!

Godspeed Mankind by cvetk0 2017-05-04T19:25:38Z

First I would like to thank everyone for all the positive feedback and constructive critics so far, you're great! :relieved:

We're aware that some mechanics may not be as polished as they could be and that it may be hard at first to orientate because all interactive locations of same type are exactly the same so there's really no way to distinguish between them. We did want to put a mini map in the game that would at least indicate which Town location is low on food resource but scrapped the idea somewhere during day two because we wanted to be sure we can implement all the main logic in the game. Also some location randomization would probably be good because as some of you already noted, just rotating counter clockwise is pretty much the way to ensure you can last as long as possible.

Since our third day which was work day only allowed us few afternoon hours of work after already being behind computer screens for about 8 hours we didn't really have much energy left to polish things more than we managed. The difficulty was mostly tuned by lowering the chance of rain over the River locations and increasing water consumption on farm Locations. Difficulty also dynamically increases when town dies and refuges flee to other cities (after 1st and 3rd) town dying.

Scoring was also subject to debate and eventually we went to scoring one point each second for each town surviving. I still think it would better to score points based on food resources delivered to Towns (without wasted surplus) as it would probably offer more strategic options on how many towns the player wants to try to keep up but again, time limit prevented us from testing this and we went with initial method.

Thanks again for feedback and keep playing and enjoying other peoples games!!! :metal:

Godspeed Mankind by cvetk0 2017-05-18T16:32:32Z

@gama-croma strange, worked for us when we tested different platforms. Which OS are you using?

Game of Worlds by Shurty 2017-05-02T14:06:17Z

Nice work guys! The general mood of this game is great, loved just roaming around during the day and got brutally eaten while crossing the bridge over the night. Really great graphics and music setting. Keep up the good work!

Backyard Warriors by UrsiGames 2017-05-15T20:45:53Z

Great entry with really nice graphics. I wish the music was a bit louder than it is. Gameplay while simplistic is pretty appealing and didn't get boring even after some time of playing. Definitely it would be great if there were some more weapons options or maybe some traps available, hopefully you extend it after the jam. The only problem I encountered is when my character sometimes glitched near the wall and I wasn't able to move away from it anymore until the next round.

Keep up the good work!

Pale Blue Dot by SneakyDeagle 2017-05-04T21:19:35Z

I could just skip the asteroids part and just watch the planets slowly zooming by. Great atmosphere!

Chukwa by Derzan 2017-05-02T15:15:46Z

Must eat all the :strawberry:!!! Do turtles even eat them? Just kidding . I like the gloomy music which adds to the mood when this poor turtle endlessly walks towards the edge and falls off the "world" just to change it's "head wear". I had fun.

Retro Rabbit by wtoa 2017-05-02T13:54:44Z

Had much fun playing this game... well, for as long as I lasted, haha. Munch mode rocks!

I love the simplistic yet very attractive graphics this game has as well as the great music which really adds to the mood of speeding around the small globe. And once you die, I like how the music changes to a more morbid theme.

So far, this is one of the best games I've played in LD38. Keep up the good work!

Cubeua by lilwavep 2017-05-02T15:09:26Z

Too hard for me, died with 70 as highest score . For Compo entry this is well executed and even though graphics are pretty simplistic they kinda grow to you through time and endless deaths from damn triangles . Keep up the good work!

Colorfly by Zelos 2017-05-02T14:19:30Z

Wonderful game, visually stunning and the effort you put into the music really pays off. And good thing you wrote about the end being inevitable, I first thought I did something wrong when the big one caught me .

Keep up the good work!

Small Planet by ZebraInFlames 2017-05-04T19:48:27Z

It's a great little game! Keeping flying and trying to aim at the enemies is pretty hard though. Eventually I figured out that the easiest thing to do seems to be to find the enemy, camp yourself on the surface of the planet and blow them to kingdom come. Somehow they don't seem to be able to properly aim at player bellow them.

Keep up the good work!

Cataclysm of a Potted Plant by Timestop 2017-05-06T06:33:23Z

The idea is nice, combination of snake like and jumper game.

The first level was way too hard for my taste, would be a bit easier probably if the camera started scrolling up faster, not when the worm was half screen up since it would be easier to predict where player should continue to go up.

Seconds level does seem a bit easier but I didn't manage to get through it either as I usually fell to my death bellow instead of being hit by rain drops

The graphics, especially level two, are really nice and so is the accompanying music! I also liked the dialogue, it really adds to the mood of the game. Too bad you didn't implement some in game restart of level after worm dies, game quitting and requiring manual restart gets a bit tedious after some time.

Nice work though, keep it up!

Puddle Jumper by ondrejbalas 2017-05-02T12:57:35Z

Considering this is a Compo entry, you managed to get quite some gameplay into it. I do miss some audio in it, some soothing music maybe . I did not play much beyond the point where I had to planes to operate and can only imagine how it would be hard to manage 3 or 4 planes simultaneously. The randomness of letters appearing on the airports makes it really hard to do any real planning ahead as well. But overall I think it's a nice game. Keep up the good work!

Space Raiders by Smeax 2017-05-04T20:15:51Z

This game has some super nice graphics and setting, but man it's hard... or at least I'm to clumsy to do anything the way I should. I did manage to light a fire once, still not sure how since I had wood on other tries but pressing E key just didn't do any magic. And then I ran out of ammo every time and died . Still, I think it's fun.

Perhaps the "How to" should explain mechanics a little better and I found it impossible to get out of the heart pit once I fell into it... which was more times than I didn't haha. At first I also didn't notice the exit button, perhaps you should enable exiting from current game by pressing escape key as well.

Good work overall, keep it up!

SMALL WORLD of LOVER by appix 2017-05-02T18:31:04Z

Very nice game. I love the graphics simplicity and sound effects work nice as well. An excellent first time Compo entry, big thumbs up for making all these assets yourself!

Keep up the good work!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Gophers by randomhuman 2020-04-25T18:08:07Z

What a great way to tell a story. The atmosphere, despite being kind of post apocalyptic is still very relaxing and you don't really feel pressed to push forward too fast. I love, and I mean freaking love the visuals, and minimalistic sound works great. I think you managed to pack a lot of gameplay mechanics into this game in a very limited time, and it works! I really hope to see more from you in the future. And cheers for using Godot . Keep it up!

Keeper of the Flame by nickavv 2020-04-24T19:39:13Z

This must be one of my favorite games I played so far in this jam. I love the idea, beautiful visuals and the way the game plays. The amount of gameplay you managed to pack into it in this short time is just amazing as well. The only thing I didn't like that much was the placement of controls, I kind of found it confusing to have the action button below the "keep the flame" one. Because of that I kept mixing up the controls and accidentally killed myself or the flame while trying to do something. But besides this, big congrats! I think this has potential to rank among the highest of all. I really hope to see more from you in the future or even to see this one developed further. Cheers!

Last Hope by Iluvatar 2020-04-22T21:35:34Z

Wow, this game is so nice. Delivers so much narration in such limited time and area. I wish I could do graphics like that, so simple yet sets up such powerful mood. Great job! I am curious, what did you use to make it? I hope to see more from you in the future. Cheers!

Peacock Potions by almost 2020-04-21T17:10:41Z

I loved it! I married Suzie, rand the business for 14 years after which my son inherited it . The atmosphere is awesome, has a very relaxed and peaceful note to it. And all the side events are great as well. I think this game has a lot to offer if extended even further. I hope to see more from you. Cheers!

Human Spiderweb by miziziziz 2020-04-21T18:29:08Z

Cool game, I like the overall atmosphere except maybe for the guard voices which become quite annoying after some time. But the idea itself is great and this kind of puzzle game has potential. I enjoyed watching your live stream during few jam breaks as well. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Cheers!

Cadavour by cvetk0 2020-04-23T19:24:15Z

Thank you for feedback everyone! Much appreciated

@cievers was considering that, but having limited experience with the engine there would not be enough time to figure out how to implement that

@starlet I was hoping we would not have to opt out for graphics because I put quite a lot of effort last day to design our own parts but in the end still too much of it was not made by us, so it wouldn't really be fair to those who create everything by themselves. The body taking concept is something I was already considering for a rogue like idea I have. Time permitting, maybe we can do some more work on this one as well. But under the hood it seriously needs some real polishing and de-spaghettification first

Cadavour by cvetk0 2020-04-24T20:04:18Z

@talops thanks for this feedback. One of the things I noticed besides the health visibility issue was also how disproportionate size of body parts are, which can be misleading for player when deciding which part needs attention. Was going for some numeric indicator overlay but due to time constraints that didn't make into the game. And yes, the opponents definitely need a lot of love, especially some unique behavior based on their type perhaps.

@nnnikki thank you for constructive word on our game! Sadly the time didn't permit more diversity as we barely made it to the deadline. I completely agree that once you get the grasp of basic idea it kind of becomes monotone. I like your ideas for improvements, especially how the choices made should have more impact on general gameplay. Scoring was really put in there more or less just because it felt right to give player some sense of progression and achievement but was probably the least thought over mechanic of them all.

Cadavour by cvetk0 2020-04-27T14:23:07Z

@max-louis thank you for the feedback. Would you mind sharing the link to the stream, I'd love to see that and share it with my friend who also worked on the game.

@midnightmist thanks for the feedback. I definitely regret we were not being able to create all of the assets on our own, despite the fact that the ones we borrowed really helped creating good parallax effect. Room for improvement :)

Cadavour by cvetk0 2020-04-29T21:54:43Z

@max-louis ah, too bad. Thanks anyway

Jaghund Armoured Organ Delivery Service by iamscissors 2020-04-25T10:57:46Z

Very nice game! Graphics are amazing but it could use some sound effects. The levels could use some more work, perhaps it should not be possible to activate the door until most of the enemies were destroyed. Keep up good work!

Asteroid B612 by MarkWolf 2020-04-21T08:26:33Z

Cute little game. I've gotten to like that creature but it dies every time . I had some problems figuring out the "long distance" steering between celestial bodies, honestly I never completely got it right. So I figured I'd just hop from body to body. It worked well enough for me until the insects came. Those insects got me every time. I enjoyed playing the game and I think you did a great job. Perhaps some tweaking of difficulty for the insects part, but overal very enjoyable.

Planet Doom by NNNIKKI 2020-04-21T19:01:10Z

Huh, this one is intense. I have to admit I was completely disoriented for a while, and couldn't figure out how to outsmart the creeps. I did manage to get two terminals online, but not more than that. And honestly I think that was enough for my brain with all the shaking and beeping :smirk:. While it may be hard to keep up with this game for a longer period of time, it definitely gets 5 starts for the mood category. The doom is coming, and so are the troglodytes, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Chicken Shuffle by helpcomputer 2020-04-23T19:17:34Z

This is a nice little game. I love the atmosphere and the visual design is impressive. Gameplay is a bit simplistic and there does not seem to be much strategy to it, but there's room for improvement and it has potential. Keep up good work!

Hope by Darylsteak 2020-04-22T18:15:50Z

This one has potential for a very high overall score in my opinion. And if further developed with some side story, perhaps encounters with other survivors it would it would be a great little full fledged game :smirk:. There were slight issues with movement but nothing major. Other than that, it would be cool if the game had some music as well but even without that the mood is just perfect. Perhaps there could be an unfavorable ending, maybe affected by some mid game decision (wouldn't be too punishing if you just got shot after just few levels ). Looking forward to seeing more from you, or perhaps even this evolving into a full fledged game after the jam!

What Remains of Us by Iker Díaz 2020-04-22T18:26:59Z

Nice art and presentation. Mood is warm and cozy but I wished that there would be more after doing the first evening. Hope you develop this one a bit further and some more narrative to the player. I think it doesn't really have to be more than a story telling, perhaps telling the story of that person's life, maybe with some choice of which memory to spare every night.

The Last Burito by lazarche 2020-04-24T19:47:15Z

Cool stuff. The graphics are nice, music fits well to the tempo of the game. I like the idea and hellish look of the enemies. Thou shall not take my Burito!!!

Story of Lost Demon by Epsulon 2020-04-21T16:28:28Z

Wow, cool game! I love the aesthetics of it and the story idea. I did have some problems with platforms which I fell through, perhaps because I played during daylight and it may not have been very easy to indentify those. But other than that, I enjoyed it. Good job!

Stoke It ! - V1.3 by WegPast 2020-04-23T14:59:11Z

Well made game with nice atmosphere! I found it really hard to coordinate everything and I sadly didn't manage to escape no despite trying quite few times even after figuring out all the upgrades and how they work. Got pretty close I believe though . The graphics are great and the sound is pretty cool as well. Hope to see more from you, keep it up!

Lifelink by IanLux 2020-04-24T19:56:36Z

I found the gameplay a bit hectic, felt like I didn't know what I was doing but was still making progress. Not sure whether because of pure luck or maybe the bonuses I received did not influence the gameplay that much. Buuuuut, I have to congratulate you on the atmosphere you created in this game. I didn't realize how much the great music contributes to it until it stopped playing at one point, but luckily resumed later on . I don't have any experience with 3D graphics but I assume this must have taken quite some effort to put together. Overall, I think it's a great little game, if you pursue this further, maybe add some tutorial stuff at the beginning and maybe find a way to make particular power up combos important in some situations. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from you. Cheers!

Solar by thevinter 2020-05-02T23:33:41Z

Cool little game. Loved the warm atmosphere of graphics and music combined. I didn't really figure out the magic bullet but managed to finish anyway. Hope you make more like this in the future. Keep up good work!

Disco Boy by Llamallove 2020-04-22T14:17:17Z

Cool game! I loved the music and visuals, really fits well with the disco theme. I did find it a bit easy though once I figured out the best strategy was to kind of spam the block in the beginning and always hold the right button to have aim directed into same direction. But overall very satisfying experience with simplistic design, yet complex enough to be captivating. Keep up good work, looking forward to see more from you in the future

Ludum Defendare by Cievers 2020-04-23T14:40:20Z

Cool idea . Aiming was a bit hard for me at first, until I figured out to just look at the pointer. Good job!

F.I.R.E. (Fel Ine Rescue Endeavors) by brenno263 2020-04-23T19:05:15Z

I like the idea but really struggled with controls and honestly wasn't able to finish the level. That fire always seemed to have spawned in the wrong place for me . The cat was awesome though, I think it was taking the situation without any stress, compared to the poor fireman who went in to rescue it. The graphics are cool as well. Keep up good work!

Rumble in the Bronchs by ballipilla 2020-04-21T16:47:10Z

Pretty cool game. The visuals are great and sound keeps the pace going. But I think the duration per level could be a bit shorter and perhaps if it the controls were keyboard for movement and mouse for aiming, it could have a faster pace with more going on. Still a very good game. Good job!

Spider's Food by 8BitCharlie 2020-04-22T21:22:55Z

Seemed familiar in design. But seeing this implemented just as a web page, wow. Well done! Sure it could use some music or sound, but perhaps that would kind of break the point of having it wrapped in a single html file :spider_web:. Good job!

Yellow Flower by codekiw 2020-04-23T14:45:57Z

Nice little game, reminded me of game Pssst I played on ZX Spectrum long time ago . The controls were not really easy to get used but I guess aiming with mouse would have made it a bit too trivial. Gets pretty hard very fast especially when droplets spawn far from the plant. Keep up good work. Cheers!

Cydonia by Wookie 2020-04-24T21:00:43Z

Great concept! I think the graphics are beautiful and the sounds make a good mystery atmosphere. You put a lot of gameplay into it in a very short time. And not just that, a bunch of narrative as well. So cheers for all that! I had a bit of problem with coordinating controls, but that's just clumsy me . I really hope to see more from you! And cheers for using the best game engine around

My Mother is a Caravan? by Gideonnf 2020-04-22T21:09:20Z

Great idea and approach, but I found it really difficult when having to fight. The movement of the sword was not very intuitive so I couldn't finish it. Got pretty close to 1000 once but then got owned by those ranged guys... damn I hated those . With a bit of tweaking and polishing it could be a very fun game. I thing it deserves great rating for theme, graphics and mood though. Keep up good work. Cheers!

The Last Hearth by Jorim 2020-04-25T17:23:50Z

Creepy spiders! I liked the graphics and sound, but it was not clear what the goal was. But yes, I didn't read the full description up front, which explains that more clearly . Keep up good work!

Floriculture by Brickington 2020-04-23T18:57:03Z

I like the idea, something different from most pretty action packed games I played in this jam so far. Relaxing atmosphere and the day cycle is a great touch . Keep up good work!

Yakka by MidnightMist 2020-04-22T21:43:58Z

I love the art of this game, it has much potential. I didn't really manage to get very far but I suck at platforming. The style kind of reminded me of the game I played lately, Mutazione... so cool, I hope to see some sort of adventure game in the future from you. That'd be great. Keep up the good work, you're on the right path . Cheers!

Space Shield by Infinite 2020-04-21T16:36:02Z

I was really impressed by graphics and the music contributes well to overall feel of the game. I found it a bit had to manage all the shields but I'm not very good at coordinating so many things at the same time. Very entertaining and once again, cheers for the visuals!

Keep Franko Alive by Reiqy 2020-04-22T21:17:30Z

Nice simple game! The story is cool and sets up the mood nicely and the mechanics are well implemented and quite polished. Not sure if there is an end to it though, besides getting owned in one way or the other. I liked the graphics and the music fits in quite good as well. Looking forward to more from you. Cheers!

Lab Rat by Maxathon 2020-04-22T20:59:45Z

That is a cool game! The general mood is great, though I missed some sense of urgency as there didn't seem to be any penalty for not delivering requested, especially to the tentacles . And the issue I noticed (at least web version) was that sometimes the inventory would overlap the actions which couldn't be clicked then, not critical but not very pleasant either. I liked it in general so looking forward to seeing more from you. Keep it up. Cheers!

Customer Servicess - Ludum Dare 46 by LucasJefrey 2020-04-25T17:45:18Z

I like the idea of the game. Perhaps it would be better to have counter effects on the same track as incoming ones. And it would be cool if there was actually some music in the game and the events would be rhythmically tied to it. I know that in short time that would be hard to implement, but if you decide to pursue this idea further, perhaps try that . Keep up good work!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Tension by JustinMullin 2021-05-04T20:42:16Z

Really nice game. I liked the fact that it doesn't try to be fast paced and that using the hook requires some careful movements so you don't smack your head into some rocks or break your legs landing on them . The atmosphere in general feels great. But I'm too clumsy for these kind of games it seems. Got stuck on the second floor with lava and simply couldn't get past it. No matter, I like what you've done and hope to see more from you in the future. Cheers for Godot as well . Keep up the good work!

Arctic Drilling Team Simulator by Flatgub 2021-05-03T22:26:13Z

The doctor and the chef went first... with the non essential personnel gone, the drilling picked up the pace. Rotations were good, scientists cooked and the engineers kept the things going. For some time at least. I felt like I had it but one of the engineers died due to unknown reasons... probably despair .

Great Compo entry and a lot of stuff packed in in such short time. Sure, it's probably too hard to figure out what exactly the needs of individuals are, maybe their most pressing ones could be indicated on the mini map. I am honestly not good in micro managing and trying to figure out all the needs, keep the station running and making sure at least food was stocked up was hard. But I liked this anyway.

Keep up the good work!

mindgrid by robochase6000 2021-04-28T17:57:55Z

I didn't really grasp the idea behind entering minds at first, but was able to figure that you can switch between different states of game time. It would be interesting to see this developed further, it is an interesting concept! Good luck with your game dev journey, keep it up

Debate Time by NidzaKornjaca 2021-04-29T06:07:46Z

Great idea which deserves to be explored further. It would be great if there was some music to add to the feeling of the anger growing inside you though. So if you decide to explore this further, here are few suggestions from my side: - The "offending" posts could start changing color or their outline to indicate they irritate you and you're about to go on your epic rant pretty soon - While playing card maybe show the post thread itself growing with your replies and theirs each round - Perhaps some cards could be played as combos producing even more epic replies in the fight - Winning should produce some reward which could be used later on, maybe to heal or as a pre-battle prep - Some response combo could maybe draw others into a debate, you know, fueling the anger of the masses, starting the usual epic social media battle - Getting noticed on the media and based on your debate style (good arguments or just pure trolling or hating) could attract attention of authorities or the companies looking for an influencer giving some permanent bonuses or deteriorating effects

Cheers! Keep up the good work :)

Chess Hellevator by BoxedMeatRevolution 2021-04-29T06:29:53Z

What a great game. Simple approach but lots of complexity. Got too tough at level 4 for me though. I assume pieces spawn at random and not sure if there's certain pre determined possibility of their combos spawning. I got the pawn diagonal spawning on me few times which made it too difficult to get them all before they either turned into queens or just killed me since I had to place myself into wrong spot to prevent that. Yeah, probably I should master those combos more :)

Keep up the good work!

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-27T18:44:06Z

@leonvano I am sorry to hear about that problem. Unless there is some bug I did not encounter it should automatically replenish when landing more or less to the center of the pad. Being on it just partially is not enough. Thank you for you feedback though

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-27T20:26:55Z

Thanks for feedback so far everyone, really good to read all this!

@prostone yeah, after seeing my friend play today I suspected that pads might be a bit hard to notice at first despite two blinking lights. I was hoping to do some actual lighting for it but I would need more time. About landing on the passage that opens, haha, knowing the I suspected that is exactly what might happen but didn't get around to actually test it. Should have just let it crash down without crew .

@dominium11 I was going for a bit RC drone like controls where power once set stays at certain level but directional movement has to be constantly applied. I figured it might not be very intuitive to start with but I didn't want to make it lunar lander style like.

@robochase6000 Sorry to hear that. I should have made them pop out a bit more. They might be even harder to notice at first due to the larger settlement structures placed close to them when you first encounter them. They do have small blinking red and green lights though, but since they are 1 pixel sized they can be hard to spot.

@boxedmeatrevolution yes, after final test of full game and just before publishing I was thinking perhaps oxygen should be limited resource. But since submission deadline was quite close I decided not to change since it might have broken the game if you completely ran out of it. As for respawns, let's just say it was by design, it does make it a bit to easy in the gauntlet section since you can just brute force your way through by dying once or twice. It is actually possible to full speed that one . Congrats on becoming a hero of the uplands! And just as a trivia MIB stands for Mars Indiegenous Being.

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-28T06:48:25Z

Hello everyone. Based on current feedback it is clear that landing pads are hard to notice. I am unable to edit the description of the game. Please look a the image in this link: https://imgur.com/a/G6CMrQP

Hopefully it will help those having problems finding landing sites. The image also shows interaction icons, look out for these . Sadly I am unable to embed the image in this post. If anyone knows if it is somehow possible to edit game's description please let me know how. I've tried editing and saving the game description but it does not apply for some reason.

Edit: managed to embed the image in description, phew.

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-30T12:37:44Z

Thank you everyone for all the feedback so far! I really appreciate it. Since I will be away until Sunday evening I will not be able to play/rate your games until then but I will start as soon as possible

dyppan by Guilherme Oliveira 2021-05-06T21:32:19Z

I liked the rougeish feel the game has, especially the fog of war and field of view implementations work well. Wasn't really clear what I can do with the food I collect, I tried to eat some but it didn't seem to increase my health or anything. Also this asset pack works great for this kind of games . Keep up good work!

Logistics Boy by Dis0rder 2021-04-27T19:16:06Z

Oh my, I loved playing Game and Watch games I had when I was a kid and this is such a great throwback to them. Especially first two stages are great even though I had feeling that the speed ramped up quite fast. But yeah, considering you decided to do more content and not just have base task repeating all over again it is understandable. Diving deep was a bit confusing to me and I couldn't really get very far since I usually relied on some rythm to coordinate my own movements with this kind of games. Great work though, it really is a great find in this jam!!! Keep up the great work

Chameleon Excavation by NykolaR 2021-04-27T19:38:56Z

Nice to see an isometric game like this made with Godot. I struggled with controls though and felt the pressure of the ceiling descending down on me, so I tried to move as fast as possible which lead to falling down too deep all the time. Maybe I should have rotated the screen to get a better idea on how to control my descent better, but it just felt like it's happening too fast. Congrats on compo, keep up the good work!

One Shot in the Dark, Now I'm Dead. by kiririn51 2021-04-29T06:50:05Z

Wow, so much content! I'm impressed you managed to put all that together in such compelling way. And all the little details from the computer booting up, to pause button for the videos. Well executed!

Keep up the good work

The Fall of Alice by kr4ft3r 2021-05-04T20:51:25Z

Well, this one felt unusually weird in a good way. I like the idea in general even though it doesn't offer that much gameplay in terms of diversity. Cool graphics - well fitting backdrops and the butt! Haha, loved that detail. Perhaps it could be broken into smaller levels each with a part of story and with some obstacles to make things more interesting. Considering you only had 1.5 days to invest into this, great job! Keep up good work

F.R.I.E.N.D. by Jake White 2021-04-29T05:52:28Z

I like the idea and the atmosphere of the game. Pretty visuals and relaxing music which fits great. It was a bit hard for me to efficiently navigate around and pick up the items from the bottom. I think it would be good if you could start with more than just one inventory slot, to make the progression a bit faster and require less back and forth movement between the girl and the items. Also it might be good if it was possible to move level in relation to the surface while the camera is kind of angled towards the bottom. This would make it easier to see where the items are without requiring to submerge the camera. Keep up the good work!

A Friendly Dig by Chillen 2021-05-06T21:40:53Z

Nice! I love the retro style with CRT like (shader?) looks. It works great together with the sound and music. The animation is also pretty cool, just what I would expect from a retro game. Keep up the good work, and keep using Godot, it's great

The Deep Sorrow by Sengi 2021-04-27T20:57:41Z

Wow, I am impressed ! This is so far the best entry I've played in terms of how it made me feel by playing it. Dark room, headphones, full screen... it actually brought tears in my eyes when I made it through. Such a lovely vignette. The visuals, the music, subtle sound effects when pressing stars, it all just fits together so well.

I would love to see this further developed. Maybe it could simply be a series of small moments like these from lives of different people with different tasks to perform to progress. Thank you for this game, keep up the great work you are doing!

Descent Into Madness by Dan Davis 2021-04-27T20:14:41Z

Trippy. Good idea but a bit too hard for me despite the help of those shrooms. I was not able to get past second room after climbing up. It has potential though, I loved the light effects and the music also fits great with the visuals. Keep up good work

Into the Deep by Norris Eldridge 2021-05-03T21:46:09Z

It seems the older I get, the more I enjoy the narrative games. This one is definitely a proof that games don't need to be action or even mechanics packed. Simple narrative with great visuals and music to set up the mood can be enough. It kind of reminded me of how I felt playing Mutazione for the first time. Thank you for the experience. I hope to see more good stuff from you. Keep it up

Deep Down 2 by Nyunesu 2021-04-29T19:21:23Z

Wow, I loved this one! Honestly one of my favorite entries in this jam so far. Graphics are very compelling, music and sounds fit well and the gameplay just feels so smooth. What I liked the most was the ability to absorb the cubes and place them on pre-defined spots in the air to progress. Getting larger and gaining double jump ability was great as well. Keep up the good work :)

Ocean Explorer by Johannimations 2021-05-03T22:42:04Z

I loved the visual style of this game. The expressions changing on the submarine pilot's face and the mean green fish are great. Wasn't really clear if there is some end goal but eventually I found myself looking for more bullets once I got to the bottom and had a hard time finding them.

Few suggestions: - maybe add score or clear goal - sub could keep some small amount of inertia when key press is released and not stop moving immediately - it seemed like single fish could take more than 1 bullet even though 1st one killed it, maybe disable it's collision box to allow next one near it to get hit

Outerstellar by MadHumster 2021-04-27T20:09:04Z

The mood of space exploration is great. The spiraling tip really helped but I wonder if the resource planets are spawned randomly or on pre-designated locations. I was only able to find one. When I was out on the third spiral it became really hard to pin point the location of next star so eventually I ran out of fuel. I like the idea though

Deeper Sleep Beta by Kszaku 2021-05-03T22:00:21Z

I loved how you set everything up with the description of the game itself here on LD page. The idea of running a retro software is cool and I think you nailed the looks and feel of it. Sadly the game crashed on me with out of memory error and was not able to get through it entirely. Still very enjoyable experience though. Keep up good work!

Will and Testament by johanhelsing 2021-04-27T20:47:28Z

I loved this. I mean, the simulation of the dirt is great, and graphics look so smooth. But the best thing is the family tradition. No matter how you feel about your grandchildren, always leave a nice "cheerful" note for them and make sure treasure is dug so deep that they really have to break a sweat . The only thing I found a bit annoying was the fact that you cant really control digging direction in terms of straight or up perhaps. If you don't dig even enough you find yourself in situation where you have to get the dirt out of a tunnel, which is pretty hard... but hey, that is what a no good grand child deserves. I wonder how it would go if the last one actually did have children!?

Great game, keep up the good work!

Sheppard by PeaNud 2021-04-27T21:10:30Z

Nice graphics together with good music create a very good atmosphere. I suck at this kind of games though and those shooting bastards kept killing me. Might be a bit easier if you could jump attack or even move while attacking. Keep up the good work!

Viper Mission One by Majadroid 2021-05-07T21:20:02Z

Great compo entry! I fracked quite a lot of toasters but not sure if there is an end to it. Got to about 1100km. I loved how the viper flying felt, the thruster sounds and the inertial movement after changing direction gave it that true BSG feel, I almost wanted to do a back flip, hehe. Music maybe isn't the best BSG fit, but still very good. Well done. Keep up the good work!

Iby's Descent by OddSocks 2021-05-06T21:11:47Z

I have to say I really liked it. It is not easy to have a good procedurally generated level, but these work well. The graphics are pleasing and the protagonist animation is really well done despite not having climbing animation for example. Particles when shooting the look quite good as well. Hopefully you do some further development on this as it would be great if you pack some story into it and implement other ideas you had.

Keep up good work!

DO NOT INSERT INSIDE THE EAR CANAL!!! by cheesepencil 2021-05-03T22:31:52Z

Haha, I loved the "oh yeaaaaah" effect. I swear, the guy got swab murdered on level 5, that was insane. You put together a nice piece of game considering you only had 4 hours put in. This one definitely gets a high humor score

Cheers, keep up the good work.

Shire Story (Underground Edition) by Gustavo Rocha 2021-04-27T19:31:31Z

I liked this! Very nice visuals and suitable music which doesn't rush you forward so you can remain in the keep calm and push one move by move way. I did not find any items to replenish my health though on the first run, only a ton of AP ones. Later I did get a small healing pot. Perhaps there should be some pre-seeded rewards to make sure RNG doesn't completely screw you up when it comes to health/energy management. But well, I am not a rogue like expert so maybe that is part of it. It would be good to have more items directly accessible via numeric keys to avoid constant inventory and equipment management just. And even though I liked how moves could be queued up a bit, I think it might be better to have the character move first and then respond to next move request, just to give it more turn based feeling. Keep up good work :)

Diving for Dinner by Kontiko 2021-05-06T20:49:04Z

Smooth controls, nice graphics. The animation of the penguin feels very good. I just wish I didn't jump straight into the jaws of the shark so many times . Maybe progression if kept through deaths would make rewards more enticing.

Substrate Mining Co. by Steve Dragon 2021-04-29T19:34:01Z

Great atmosphere in this well done exploration game. Must have been one bloody strike down there. And it seems that the foreman got what he deserved... oh, and poor Simon, still there :sob:

Keep up the good work!

Pyramid Mapping by Leonvano 2021-04-27T19:00:06Z

Great idea with drone exploration and hand mapping. I was not quite able to figure out whether you can land the drone at some point to make it stop using energy. I believe I did find four idols and activated them but not sure if I missed any. Was not able to find the stairs though. The atmosphere is great and the visuals, lowering ceiling create a good mood. This game reminded me how I can get a bit claustrophobic in narrow places, especially when it is dark. Keep up good work!

Bubble Diving by Lymze 2021-05-06T21:01:12Z

This was great! The art is so cool, I really like the style. And the sound and music fits very well with it to create a great atmosphere. I got to 133m before I realized I can actually use space to slow myself down or to deflect some of the dangers... yeah, RTFM . I did get to 150 eventually I believe as I got the you won message but died at the same time. I will count it as a victory

Keep up the good work, looking forward to see more from you!

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-04T21:23:43Z

Pure joy! I've loved point and click adventures since the 90s and this... is awesome. There is so much content packed in this game and I have to say that the story is well thought and has that nice twist... well, two twists to be honest . I really liked the very old school style graphics. The music felt perfect and set up great mood. Especially when it changed at some point it really gave me that creepy feeling, I almost didn't want to go through the door in the basement. Characters were cool and nicely animated. The only thing I would change is the text presentation and remove the beeping sounds. I kind of found myself constantly clicking the mouse button hoping the full line of text would display immediately. The one occasion where I'd leave text as is, is when talking to the "zombie" woman on the sofa.

In a way I would like to say that I hoped this gets further developed but honestly, I don't think it needs that. It's perfectly fine as it is. But Marilyn could perhaps get another installment, that I'd love to see! Huge thumbs up for making this in Godot as well. Keep up the good work, looking forward to see more from you

Whispers of Life by MidnightMist 2021-05-03T23:05:07Z

Lovely game. The art is great and the sounds fit well. I just loved the little character and the way it enjoyed smelling the flowers. The color indicator reacting to the current flower is a great touch and nice use of screen space. Perhaps the music loop could be a bit longer though. As for the game play, it is really challenging and I wasn't able to get to the finish. But still I think it's quite well balanced. I had issues with sprite positions but good thing you put info on zooming on itch page. Had to zoom out quite a bit though so the game came out pretty small on the 4k monitor. Wish I could have played it full screen with properly positioned sprites.

Keep on jammin'!

Nice little game. The graphics are good and I loved the boxy protagonist. Movement in the water felt smooth and not too fast. Died a lot, and not loosing all the money upon death is a nice touch. Keep up the good work!

I swear I was just waiting for the game to give me a heart attack at some point. Honestly I can't tell if I missed something or just ends when you run out of light and get into the darkness, stepping into some slime . Great atmosphere there. I did miss a bit more actual gameplay than just walking but that's fine, I think just the suspense was enough. There are few things I'd like to point out: - Loved the Indy moment in the cart and how the speed affected grandpa's hair, lovely detail. - The hands shadows that appeared above elevator when riding down... just reminded me of Don't starve, hehe. Subtle and maybe hard to notice but great! - Grandpa character himself - I really liked the design and I think he would fit great into some point and click adventure game

Keep up the jam spirit and thanks for your previous feedback on my game

Really nice game with creepy atmosphere. Graphics and lighting are well made and I really liked the voice acting part. I did find camera angle changes confusing when navigating around though since and had hard time figuring out in which direction to move just after the camera change. I'm not really a fan of creepy stuff but I still liked the game

Keep up the good work!

Damn, this game is hard. First congratulations on finishing your first game jam game. I like your decision to simply draw the assets on paper, something I tried for one Godot Wild jam previously as well... sadly didn't get to finish that one. I find this one too hard for me though, it really starts with crazy tempo and despite trying many times I couldn't get very far down... damn that C# there  Keep jaming!

DrillDrill: The Quest for Diamonds by Hoeleboele 2021-04-29T09:03:10Z

Great game! I really enjoyed the pace of it, graphics are well made and the music fits great. Balancing the purchases and keeping some extra points may be a bit hard at times, and I think the deeper you go, the harder it will get to get back up and still keep decent amount of points. But really enjoyable entry.

Keep jammin'!

How Deep is Your Love by Bruno Cafe 2021-04-29T19:40:50Z

Haha, that ending was unexpected . Cool little game. I like the pixel art design of the character and the mermaid the most.

Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the first Ludum Dare jam game . Great little game with well done graphics. Loved the little green guys face lazering all over. At first I didn't really realize that just moving used my energy and of course that bit me in the ass. Music was a bit too loud for me and I missed that final bad Jupiter boss :smirk:

Keep on jammin!

Defiled Reflection by BidentWorks 2021-05-04T20:35:08Z

Great concept supported by beautiful art! I preferred the levels that required simply moving in the right way and not depend so much on the speed of movement... yeah, getting old . The music was perhaps a bit too repetitive but otherwise it seemed very polished. Hope to see more from you, keep up the good work!

Nice, I loved procedurally generated caves despite the fact that I sometimes spawned in the walls. The physics simulated dirt and monster dying effect with glowing physics simulated pieces was great as well. I did find it a bit hard not to die because I rarely found a health restoration item. The objective wasn't really clear either, I did find a key but had no clue in which direction to go to use it. The game has good vibe and even if the music might not be the most fitting for a dark environment I was glad it wasn't the horror type of music as I would probably have few heart attacks when those spiders jumped me.

Keep up the good work!
