This is a solid little game. You may consider putting Windows instructions on the page, as it was really easy to run, but I was not expecting it to be with only Linux instructions. Very topical. I liked the art. Really fit together well, and was perfect for this game.
@nerd-sanctuary Thanks for playing the game and the comments. Would you say that the instructions are different for a windows PC from your experience?
Learning from what others are doing, for windows users, we have now added an exe file in the source folder on github. You can download just that single file and be able to play the game (tested on 64 bit Win10. Not sure about 32 bit). Working on a mac executable. Will update once ready. Please let us know if you have issues. Happy to fix them.
I appreciate this pun

Pretty cool game. The visuals are great and sound keeps the pace going. But I think the duration per level could be a bit shorter and perhaps if it the controls were keyboard for movement and mouse for aiming, it could have a faster pace with more going on. Still a very good game. Good job!
Great game, with simple mechanics and a challenge to keep the body alive. great job!

Nice entry! Maybe update the instructions to say there is a windows executable (or put it in the download links) now so people don't just skip over this one. Thanks for the game. *8Suggestions:8* - Before spawning an enemy, make sure the player is not on top of the spawn point. - Shorter levels with increasing difficulty to give the player a feeling of progression.

I love the color scheme and the concept a lot!
@pillitoka - it is as easy as downloading, decompressing, and running the exe. No commands or renaming needed.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Links to Windows and Linux executable files have been added to the description. Edit: MacOS app has been added as well.
Great game! Congratulations to all jammers.
The music is wonderful. In other hand, the controls are kinda weird, the end game was not super clear (I receive Game Over message but my health was full) and the lack of animations make the game a bit dead (got it? haha).
Suggestions: - Since it's a top down rotation game, the player could move as it is, bit the rotation be by mouse position. - Maybe a indicator of the body health is nice too
Hope this helps and once again, congratulations to all jammers!
Awsome!
Nice solution with player speed
Thanks for the feedback @mikabrytu. Did you find a bug that we missed? Will look into it.
The controls are like driving a car. up/down = accelerate/decelerate, left/right - to rotate. Will take @cvetk0 your comments about using the mouse. Much appreciated.
Fun little top down shooter. I'd recommend putting the "how to play" as a mandatory screen once the player clicks play. Most players tend not to read those unless they're forced to, or unless they've already died because they didn't know how to play haha. I also agree with some of the other comments about the pacing, the speed could have been picked up a bit to make it more action packed.
Overall though, very well done, keep up the great work. :D
This game fits to the very very strange days right now. I like the concept. The colors (as mentioned before) are super clea and crips. I enjoyed it!
Oh and... the name... is FANTASTIC. I love these kind of jokes :)

Very nice music, focusing into the game ! Maybe adding a "stamina" for the bullets can by nice (to avoid bullet spam).
ps: for running it on linux I had to make it executable `chmod +x ./RumbleInTheBronchs_Linux` and run it with shell
@nutriz There is stamina, but it is high. Ha ha.

"You were so busy wondering if you could do it you never stopped to think if you should". Despite the bit tasteless choice of theme you got a pretty solid game here, wish the bullets were a bit faster though. Great title.

Good use of the theme, the game is good ! I have a little feedback : I think the speed of the bullet could be faster, because when the player it has his max speed, the bullet seems very slow, but that's a detail, good work ;)

Not too bad, as others have pointed out, music feels great and I love any game that has organism body on cellular level as a theme. Great graphics as well, I dig the simple style.
If I had to point something out, it would be that controls feel too clumsy. I believe that it is better to create difficulty by having more danger or other restraints, not by having "slow steering" movement.
Definitely good use of the theme lol. The gameplay is a common formula and it never gets old. I played quite a few times before needing to get back to other things. The controls felt a bit stiff and at one point I hit a bug where my shots were coming out the backend instead of the front . The art is simple but effective, and that's smart given the time constraint (I could learn something from that). Thanks for letting us play!

Really cool!
thanks to all new players for giving feedback. A lot of you have pointed out the issue with controls. Will be the first thing we fix post-jam.
@thecze jurassic park? ever played the NES game?https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8UJQB-bNaU would love to make a game like that one day.
@isayneigh thats a first. when did that happen? did you bump into something when the bug showed up? will look into it.
@dedjo0 noted. bullets need to be faster.

Controls are a bit slippery. The level layout suggests that you can wrap left->right or up->down, but it doesn't. I would either surround the whole level in cell wall, permit wraparound, or wrap the whole level in empty space. No sense having two visuals for the same concept. Getting stuck in the cell walls was frustrating, but once I got the hand of flying around it was a non-issue.

Really like the graphics and music. The gameplay was bit easy. Would have been more interesting if the enemies were smarter. I liked that each level had a different color scheme. As I progressed I found myself just being stationary and firing from the center. I guess that didn't really work in the first level since it forced you to move around to kill the enemies. I think something in the later levels that kept you on your toes would have been good.
Would have been nice to have something more satisfying happen when killing an enemy like a sound effect or animation. Shooting sounds would have been good too.
Overall good execution of the idea.
great concept!
Thanks @ketura and @jondkoon for the ideas. Will definitely work on incorporating them in the future.
Hey, thanks for making this game. It is offcourse a very touchy and actual topic! However there were some serious resolution issues where I could not see the entire screen. In fact at first I was thinking that I could "move" into different rooms because I could not see the edges of the level. Cheers !
@javasaurus Thanks for pointing that out. The game is running at 1000px by 1000px resolution. I am guessing that it shows up fine if you have a regular 1080p screen. You are not seeing the edges because we did not add any. Bad design choice on our part. We initially planned to make the world larger with scrolling near the edges but did not end up doing it.
I still enjoyed the game ! :) No worries !
I really liked the art and aesthetic of the game. The shooting/steering mechanic was interesting, but a bit clunky and I also had resolution issues so I couldn't see some of the top part of the screen in the Mac version. Perhaps making the steering less floaty and adding animations for the antibodies and virus moving through the level would make things more lively. Great job with the game, I enjoyed it!

This was fun to play, you made a really good effort. The art style was cohesive, in part due to its simplicity, and made the game look enjoyable. Super simple idea that was easy to grasp but maybe too easy to master. As others have said, I think increasing difficulty as you go would encourage people to play for longer as there would be an increase in skill required. I also don't think the player should start off moving as I found it a bit difficult on the first run to figure out what was going on and stop myself from going head first into a wall. The controls were a little too heavy for me; I do get you were going for similar movement to a car but it wasn't very easy to use to begin with. Overall though, you've made a solid game that was fun to play, I really enjoyed it!
Hey, nice entry! At start i didn't realise that i needed to shoot the enemies, since i collided with them and that make it vanishes without some negative feedbacks.
Gj!
@danilo-freire thanks for trying out the game. Will make the instructions page pop up by default before the game begins. should be clear then.
