Web build has some glaring audio and lag issues, and there is no tutorial or indication of how to play. It looks high effort, but it's difficult to play as is.

The controls were a little wack but the atmosphere was excellent - I too had some issues with the web version but the desktop version worked fine.
Apologies to the early players, I had a pretty massive crunch session so after I finished yesterday I went straight to bed, so it was up without any instructions!
The game is set up nicely, but it didn't feel very engaging for me. Faster controls would probably help.
Good game! the performance was a bit wobbly but the concept was great and the ambiente is awesome!
played the executable version. agree with others i didn't enjoy the controls and rotating screen so felt like i didnt have much time to act. BUT i very much liked the visuals, and mining actions, the drone falling to pieces from a great height was nice to wwatch and wait for the crunch as you hit the deck. great job well done
Beautiful game but it's a bit difficult to figure out exactly what to do. Still a very nice compo game. Well done!
I keep dying to fall damage :( also, the ceiling seems to be rubberbanded? It seems that no matter how fast I go down it almost immediately appears again
Good concept but I had some difficulties to play in the beginning. The sounds are very good!
I love isometric stuff ! The mechanics of rotating the world is interesting, it reminds me of FEZ. Like others mention it I almost died everytime because of falling. Of course you have room for improvement but it's a well complete compo, good work !
First of all, congratulations on making a Compo entry! Second, thank you for making a Linux build! Once I figured out that it was actually easier to play with the mouse interface I started to get it. Nice entry!
Nice to see an isometric game like this made with Godot. I struggled with controls though and felt the pressure of the ceiling descending down on me, so I tried to move as fast as possible which lead to falling down too deep all the time. Maybe I should have rotated the screen to get a better idea on how to control my descent better, but it just felt like it's happening too fast. Congrats on compo, keep up the good work!
Looked realy nice but had some huge performance issues :/ Visual, sound (a bit to loud maybe) and lighting look amazing though.
Thanks everyone for playing (and for the great feedback)! In a perfect world with a little bit more time I should have probably made it a little bit easier to be able to break a fall (or perhaps auto-activated the fall brake if the player had stamina) because it is pretty tough to get a grasp on where you are height-wise with the isometric camera.
@patomkin good eye, the roof is indeed rubber banded. I was tinkering with the balance till the very end of the jam, may have made it too aggressive in the end (I wanted it to be hard to outrun, but also for the player to always have a chance to escape/out-dig it). Its speed ranges from 3 floors per second if its 50+ floors away from the player, to 0.5 floors per second when its close to the player
Oh dang, nice work! I really like how you managed to make a 3D space visible for the player to navigate. Took a few tries to make it to the end!
Really nice game! I loved the graphics and music. Adding all those graphic options also helped a lot with performance, although on the lowest resolution it was pretty much impossible to see anything. It would've been nice having the option to rotate controls by 90 degrees - I keep going to the wrong place because the current controls weren't intuitive for me - but other than that, great entry!
As someone who also made a game themed around digging down procedural, this is functionally awesome. The aesthetics are lovely, it runs amazing in browser (save for occasional hiccups) and the mechanics for digging felt good. The only thing I would say was just okay was when the player stepped one block down and it slowed like normal falling; maybe having the chameleon crawl or clamber down the side of a tile quicker if the player has a single block drop would be neat. Otherwise, a really sweet game!
I like the atmosphere and the gameplay. The music digging me in. Get it? xD
I really like the music and the mood of this game. The game-play was pretty fun, although a little confusing, but I guess you are just supposed to dig down and find gems before the red wall gets to you.
All in all, I had fun while playing and I really liked the concept, great job :)
