LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Limbo Runner by jk5000 2021-04-27T16:45:22Z

A very interesting concept. It was a bit hard although I'm not complaining and I would be lying if I said it wasn't fun. The voice acting was pretty funny. I did not experience any technical issues like frame rate dips and such. Good job.

TRENCH by dirkinz 2021-04-27T21:09:14Z

Great game. Most of the art was very well done and I really liked the kind of turn based mechanic. The puzzles were challenging and satisfying to figure out, but simple so it was pretty easy to see what had to be done.

I had a lot of fun while playing and I don't really have any issues with it, except for the bug that crashed the game but I saw that had already been taken care of.

Chameleon Excavation by NykolaR 2021-04-29T19:31:19Z

I really like the music and the mood of this game. The game-play was pretty fun, although a little confusing, but I guess you are just supposed to dig down and find gems before the red wall gets to you.

All in all, I had fun while playing and I really liked the concept, great job :)

Bucket: A Space Odyssey by Carraka 2021-05-01T12:48:42Z

This is a really cool interactive fiction. The art and the music are great and create a very good atmosphere. The writing is solid and it was fun to read. It reminded me a lot of the Oregon trail. The game has a lot in it and I couldn't play it in its entirety but I played for about an hour.

I had a lot of fun going deeper in space and exploring more and more planets, good job :)

Deeper Understanding by detectiveLosos 2021-04-28T12:09:04Z

Wow, I absolutely loved this game. The atmosphere and aesthetic are amazing, I really like the weird "collage" style on the characters. The atmoshpere was very creepy and the sound effects really added to that feeling.

Probably my favorite entry so far, great job.

Descent Into Madness by Dan Davis 2021-04-28T11:18:46Z

I really loved the atmosphere and music. The concept was very interesting, I love the idea and mechanic of having to eat trip balls so you can progress, while sometimes creating obstacles. Reminds me of another entry in this game jam which I liked very much. The game was challenging at some points, mostly the last level, but it was really fun.

Great job.

Miner Rescue by Vasco Freitas 2021-04-28T16:33:17Z

I really liked the art and the game-play is fun and challenging. While the game is pretty difficult, it's not punishing because of the abundance of checkpoints and health refill, which made the game a lot less frustrating than it would have been with less of them.

I had a lot of fun while playing and I didn't really have any issues with it.

Great job :).

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-27T20:24:41Z

@dirkinz Thanks, I love psychonauts. Also, thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-28T10:35:51Z

@vitor-milioni Thanks for the feedback :). I will probably work on it a bit in the future and fix some of those things.

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-28T15:23:34Z

@annie-owl Ah, yeah. I was going to have in-game instructions but didn't have the time, so in a hurry I just wrote the instructions in a text file without thinking about putting it on the game page. I realize now from the feedback that people might not look into that file. Anyway, thanks for the feedback and kind comment, I appreciate it a lot :)

I'm gonna put the instructions on the game page.

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-28T18:35:02Z

@leandro4002 Thanks a lot. Also, I didn't think about that, that's actually a great idea :)

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-28T18:36:02Z

@carraka haha, oh no.

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-05-02T00:33:40Z

@mizatorian You are supposed to hold the right mouse button down, sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Also I totally forgot to make something happen once your health gets to zero, haha.

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-05-05T17:18:02Z

@johnsensei Thanks, yeah sure, I just replaced the download with a .zip file.

Ant Town by Johnsensei 2021-04-28T21:10:42Z

I love the music, and the art is very well done. The game-play is, like others have mentioned, pretty linear but that didn't really bother me a whole lot, I still had a lot of fun trying to dig down to the bottom.

I had a lot of fun while playing, great job.

Deeper Sleep Beta by Kszaku 2021-04-27T22:28:17Z

The mood and aesthetic was amazing, very eerie. I really liked the mystery about it when you first start and how the mood gets progressively more creepy, feels like some weird dystopian nightmare. Great game, good job.

Protocol B.E.P by Vitor Milioni 2021-04-28T09:11:35Z

Loved the art. The rooms were great, although not really any reason to go into them except to take a look. The boss was great and pretty challenging. Overall, great game, good job.

Muggy Lake by Bossus 2021-04-28T15:52:08Z

I liked the eerie atmosphere and aesthetics a lot. I thought that the exploration aspect of the game was quite fun and intriguing, although it was a little difficult controlling the boat at times.

Overall, I had fun while playing, good job :).

Down the Rat Hole by Guardaro 2021-04-28T17:32:41Z

This was a interesting little game. I really like the music, which gave it a sort of odd atmosphere, and the dialog was very funny at times, sometimes a little dark. I thought it was pretty fun to run around and do rat things and try to find your way to the next "level".

It was very easy to get stuck later on in the game, but the game isn't very hard so it's not that big of a deal to restart.

I had fun while playing the game, good job :)

Stone Monster Mountain by Steffy 2021-04-29T15:36:33Z

First of all, I think its really cool that you made this game without an engine.

I really liked this game, the art is pretty simple but the environment and the boss look really cool and give the game a somewhat eerie mood, and the music was very fitting. Although I did get a little startled when I heard that weird sneezing sound. The boss fight was fun for a while, but I'm not sure that you are able to beat him because of how good the healing is and you can use it with no consequence. A cool-down where you and/or the boss had to wait a couple of turns before using the healing again would have been nice, but maybe I'm just bad, haha.

This is a cool little game that I had a lot of fun playing, good job :)

Untitled Simulator by Eugenik 2021-04-29T18:46:54Z

Wow, this is a really cool and unique game, also a very interesting take on the theme. It was pretty fun to ask Hitler some questions and learn some stuff about him. The dialog was good. It was a bit weird that the camera moved around when you are trying to click on a dialog option, but I eventually got used to it.

I really liked it, it's very interesting and pretty fun, good job.

Hitler's dance and Freud were a nice touches.

Cyber Runner by jj2oo2 2021-04-28T17:54:16Z

This was a pretty fun little game. The aesthetics were pretty good. The game-play is promising, but like others have said, it's a little difficult to aim the shots accurately, but it was still pretty fun to just dodge the shots from the enemies.

There are a couple of ways to improve the game-play. You could maybe make it in first person, or you could move the camera to a better position so the player isn't in the way. Making the projectiles shoot towards the, like others have suggested, would have also been a nice touch.

Anyway, I had fun playing your game, and I wish you good luck in future jams :)

Krill X by Swindley 2021-04-29T17:59:51Z

A very interesting and unique concept. I really loved the art and music, and the narration thingy was very funny at times. It was very fun to play around with words until you got the right one or trying to spot things in the backgrounds which might have been a clue. The game starts to get a bit difficult in the third room.

This was a lot of fun to play, great job.

Infernal Jam by HiddenTavern 2021-04-29T15:08:47Z

Haha, A very cool interactive story, I really liked the art. The ending was also great and pretty funny.

I had fun going through it and experiencing the authentic ludum dare experience. The game also made me want Swedish fish for some reason. Great job.

Objective Atlantis by Catoryu 2021-05-01T11:12:31Z

I really liked this game. The art was great and the concept allowed for some pretty fun game-play. The music was also really good and created a fantastic mood. I was a little confused on what buttons to press to control all the switches, but eventually figured it out

Great job :)

Downtown Payback by Letsgall 2021-04-29T14:50:21Z

I really liked the music and how you interpreted the theme. It was also a lot of fun running around and getting more weapons.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun while playing, great job.

Psychology of the Depths by saintchristopher777 2021-05-01T10:57:45Z

I really loved the art. I haven't seen a lot of card games in this jam so it's nice to see something a little different. I really like card games and I had a lot of fun playing yours, great job :) I don't know much about Carl Jung, but because of this game and a couple others that were also inpired by him, I might look a little into him.

Deep Breath by Saltysa 2021-04-27T18:12:18Z

First of all, love the aesthetic and mood. I think that going deeper into hallucinations to progress, while making the game significantly harder, is a very cool concept which allows for some very fun and sometimes challenging platforming.

The game was pretty hard, mostly because I didn't bother with changing the keyboard layout, but it wasn't punishing so dying was never really that much of a deal. Overall this is a great game.

The only issue I had with it was the bug or glitch which kicked you off a moving platform and you couldn't really get back on it.
