Perfect difficulty/enjoyment balance for me. Enjoyed discovering different tile effects and blasting away the bosses. Fun end. I got slowddown a lot, especially when spamming shoot, though was manageable with tight and understandable gaameplay / feedback. As soon as I started and the music started banging on my headdphones I was having fun! Thank you and great job
I laughed out loud when I pressed dash and Gurk launched himself hip first into the wall! I also enjoyed jumping onto the end level coin to spin around. More humour would have been great! FYI Ran slow but playable - although boss was challenging due to this. the graphics seemed visually smooth and pleasing to the eye but can't put my finger on why. great job. some polish to combat and maybe some platforming(?)
feels polished. Well done! Found myself playing for quite some time, thanks. i liekd the mining/combat interplay. i tried to rush through once i got the iron pick to grab the loot and not waste time attacking enemies. worked on some levels but not others due to enemy RNG placement. Good fun
I kind of liked the low attention needed for setting course then more engaged for reading the comms. Works well as a casual gameplay to progress the story. RIP Journey 1. good job!
Great idea. I wasn't sure if i should try and stick aroundd and try to kill the enemy or delve when able to. Thanks and good job
played the executable version. agree with others i didn't enjoy the controls and rotating screen so felt like i didnt have much time to act. BUT i very much liked the visuals, and mining actions, the drone falling to pieces from a great height was nice to wwatch and wait for the crunch as you hit the deck. great job well done
Loved the art animation sound andd music all coming together for fantastic atmosphere. I enjoyed the auto combat experience, sat back and watched the show. Arturo last man standing . Well worth sorting out the story and end game and perhaps some more player impact on how it goes? After the story diddn't play out I ddid wander if the retreat was the intended ending - which would have been nice player agency. Nonetheless, great job i hope you give it a bit more time
I likedd this art style. Spectrum Sinclair esq. I also liked your end game screen! The control felt tight to me and responsive. I did get a crash when jumping immediately at the start of the game out the top of the screen - although weirdly feels right given the theme? great job, well done!
I enjoyed learning the optimum actions and leveling up. Nice base game, ready for some new events and areas would be great. Music was really good setting the atmosphere. I sucked at mining. Thank you, good job
Very funny and cool idea
loved the intro and cinematics (would enjoy the whole experience just as an animation just as much - more of this and diaalogue choices would be great). Also the fear of backtracking was building in my mind and was pleased you thought of that and circumvented it happening. psychological horror theme was nailed. well done!
Great job. nice graphics and music was really pleasing. I liked how being spotted was not a simple game over and had other subtle effects. Hiding felt good. Some slowdown and weird audio glitch on death and checkpoint load but nothing major.
I liked the resistance of heavier metals, makes it feel good to mine the good stuff andd actually made it feel like drilling. Art looked good. Nice job, thanks
Haha that was fun, got to the third level i think and those kittens providing some jump scares. I liked the whole asthetic you achieved - but i found it a bit annoying that my ship had to be directly over the enemy and obscure it to shoot it, a bit like my LD48 game actually. But it added to the kitten scares so had a good time. Great job and thank you
Great job on the music and concept. Had fun andd got to round 6! Thanks
I enjoyed getting used to the controls and working on the puzzles to learn the abilities and tile effects. Stacking up a whole page of instructions and executing is satisfying on repeat playthroughs. I was trying to use the sensor to figure out what i now realize were the checkpoint tiles! Would be cool if you could actually do that sucessfully and get read out from the environment. Pretty cool game. Thanks and great job!
@aroningi @substr @cogcomp @punchy98 @monkeybit29 @jamr Thank you for kind feedback and critique. I think I'll work on it to round it off. The main premise was to have a normal fire mode like was implemented and a seconddary, charge up shot that shoots holes in shields (ice) that the enemies would periodically make to shield themselves from normal bullets or obstruct your path. And a boss that used both in a way that it become a shooter and puzzle to complete. Then something fun to happen when you reached dthe pyramid.
Thanks again - I played and rated your games!
That was great fun. Felt crunchy and lots of feedback on all controls. nice interplay of player speed, monster speed and power to create nice flow. I died on last bell health bar dammit. Thank you and very nice work
Unfortunately audio did not play for me. The presentation and visuals are nice and fit your theme. It wasn't obvious at first how my actions impacted the sleep counters but after some spamming worked it out. It felt like i was moving my characted somewhere and was hoping to "find" something in my dream - not sure if I missed out but certainly made me curious to play more. good job
Hey. It took a while to get understand the mechanic but i got there but a semi-tutorial would probably help so players dont bounce off. I think this is a nice concept. But i found myself sleeping a lot to get reset the shop so i could get the lucidity down, then the oppositite to get it up (actually yoga mats were handy to collect for quicker management). But once I got the swing of it was enjoying working the puzzles. Sadly i tried to throw the key and lost it so that ended my playthrough :( Really great job and idea. thanks and well done
That was cool, nice progrssion of difficulty and the world building was well done. controls felt tight to me and platforming collisions predictable to help speed up play as you get used to it. Well done good job
Rate this idea on the combat fueling the soundtrack, would like to see more. Liked howw the mega attack always arrives just in time. And because of the player contributing to the audio, it just felt wrong not to be blasting away those leadd guitarists - thats really cool pull on the core mechanic. well played
good job - was first jam and (complete but not relly) game too. well done!
