Really nice game, I loved the athmosphere and the graphics. I played it for half an hour so I really enjoyed all of it. GG it's a really good game!
Nice idea of coupling a puzzle game of avoid ennemies with a game where you are limited by air and you have to get back to the surface.
I keep dying because the one heart to start is kinda unforgiving. And I am not very good at it. It would be nice also to have a way to get back your hearts at the shack because I sometime got back with half a heart and not enough money to buy something. So I start my next dive ready to die...
I did not play very long, but it might start to get tedious to always go through you the same route again and again. A checkpoint system might be cool.
I loved it! The hazard critters are so cute. I liked finding the hidden chests and gold bars. I enjoyed all the different enemy behaviors, and the music. I especially liked that my adorable cube character *gasped* whenever I had a close call with a critter. I got pretty good at dodging jellyfish but the shark got me in the end...she's fast!
Very fun entry! Good music and varied enemies, I liked it a lot!
Very fun game. I like choice of the music and the designe/behaviours of different enemies. In my opinion there could be some check point added along the way to not return to start every time. But overall good game. Well done!
Best music and audio I have seen so far. Not a big of waiting.
Nice color palette used. Liked graphic, music and various types of enemies/traps. It's pretty hard though. Good job!
It's a well-made game, congratulations. 😉 I liked how colorful and cute the sprites are. :fish: :fish: You not just made the diving mechanics, but also included a shop to upgrade various abilities and even added some extras, like the fish swimming in the background. Congratulations for this entry. :sunny: :water_polo: Btw, the sharks really scared me when I swam in front of one. :shark:
What a cute fun game ! So I'm a breathing cube wearing a diving suit ? So nice XD
The music is super chill and the sound design is fun. The graphics are fun and adorable. It clears that some sacrifices had to be made and yet it still looks great !
The gameplay is fun ! I love that I don't lose everything when I die so I still feel like I'm making progress ! Nice game design choice ! The coreloop is simple yet pleasant !
The little ripples on top of the water are so great! I also like that the music transitions. I did have a tendency to run into enemies for a quick trip to the shop...but I liked having that option.
A well balanced game (though I found the movement speed on land agonizingly slow) with a lot of content. Especially high marks in the graphics department, I, too, loved the minimalistic waves on top, as well as the transition to the underwater view. And the sea underneath feels alive, with a lot of polish on some of the enemies. Very well done!
What does PIBE stand for?
Nice game! Our game had soo similar concept https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/pearl-diver, great minds think alike ;D
I played it for a while but couldn't get the hang of it. It's hard to judge the fading on the oxygen meter. If you had 4 times as many bubbles that each lasted 1/4th as long, I think it'd be easier to read.
And the speed is very slow and floaty. I died every time I encountered a new kind of enemy.
Nice little game. The graphics are good and I loved the boxy protagonist. Movement in the water felt smooth and not too fast. Died a lot, and not loosing all the money upon death is a nice touch. Keep up the good work!
Depressed puffer fish was very funny.
