Great fun! I really enjoyed this entry!
Very enjoyable! definitely one of my favorites, wish there were more levels!
The thrusters were a bit difficult to move, but that aside it was a pretty fun entry.
It took me quite a bit to figure out the start, but once I got it the game was quite fun! could have used a bit more difficulty pacing.
Great game! it became pretty easy once my food growth was positive, but still lots of fun. Score 2466!
It was short but fun, I liked it! moving the ship left/right was a little wonky though.
Score: 1745, really fun! simple and easy to understand mechanics with a creative premise. I enjoyed trying to hold onto my last platform the best I could.
Great entry! I can see a lot of effort went into the graphics, they turned out really well. The gameplay is quite fun, and the sound effects add a lot to the experience.
12077, Great entry with good sound effects and fun gameplay, you guys did a fantastic job with the shooting, it was super fun to fly around and blast away at asteroids. The music is okay, and enemies of some sort would have been good. 4/5 overall.
This gets a 5 in humor for the sound effects alone hahaha!
The music needs a bit of work but I found the gameplay quite fun! I really enjoyed this one.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one! I thought that the game would be over-complicated and hard to understand, but once I got a hang of the UI it was quite a lot of fun, I'd even go as far to say that it's one of my favorites! Managing my crew was hectic but never unfair, and the random events always kept me on my toes. I beat the game in 12 minutes, I really enjoyed it 4.5/5 overall!
Although if I hadn't grasped the game mechanics I can see how this would be a very confusing game, putting more effort into your tutorial would have been a good idea.
Great entry! I liked the music and the sound effects and the concept was very creative! although the gameplay was a little dull after the first playthrough, perhaps some more variation in game mechanics would have helped.
Hahaha, hilarious! Your game has a lot of charm to it, and was quite a bit of fun. It was a bit difficult, scaling up the challange as time went on might have been a good idea, but great entry nonetheless!
@courtmac Ah yeah, I wish I made the pacemaker a bit better! It would have been an easy thing to implement and I'm kicking myself for not doing it, hope finding that attack time didn't disrupt gameplay too much!
Ahhhh! @courtmac @alex-chrome I figured out why you guys were having trouble firing! I accidentally forgot to make the game apply the difficulty to the shooting, so the shooting is permanently on normal. I updated the game's page with that bugfix. If you'd like you can give it a try again and see if you have a better time. Thanks for letting me know about this issue though!
@nekoruma You can fix that by making sure the game is fullscreen, probably
@ukumeme Haha yeah, I love Crypt! I did fumble a little on the graphics but I hope that didn't detract from the gameplay experience
@welliton Thanks! glad you enjoyed it!
@dugas Glad you liked it! I do agree that there's a lot of room for cool enemy design. Sometimes the game can get a little boring on the easy difficulty too once you've mastered it. I'll definitely have to think more about how I want to make the enemies if I expand this into a full title. Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
@likai Thanks so much! glad you liked it!
@crazyhomeboys Awesome! thanks for the kind words!
@natethegreat @manimal @misterkeefe @dextreon Wow, thanks for the feedback you guys! I hope to make this into a full mobile game at some point so it's very helpful
@invader @thedoctoroftime @magzh Thanks for the plays you guys! glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback!
@fazy Yeah! I totally want to implement something like that. Unfortunately I think it's too major of a change to be implemented post-jam, but definitely if I made this a full title
@gama-11 Thanks! I love old flash games, so many good memories...
@neontropics Thanks! I'm thinking of implementing something that Crypt of The Necrodancer does, where instead of instantly doxxing you when you get off beat, it has a small grace period where the game gives you a chance to get more on beat, then if you still don't recover it makes you start missing beats
@inacho Awesome, thank you so much!
@ursagames Awesome, thanks! I hope you liked it
Great entry! I really liked this one and played it all the way through! It was super fun and felt great to fling myself around the map building up momentum, though I think you might be able to do a bit more with that core mechanic, since it did get a little boring near the end. I also found it a little obnoxious to collect all the blue spheres, they felt like they were there to extend the length of gameplay more than anything. My suggestion is to try adding more ways for the play to build up their momentum, and make that the main goal instead of collecting the blue orbs, really hone in on that core mechanic, that's what arcadey games are all about. Overall this was a great entry though, loved it!
@egawag Oh no, I know getting all of them is unnecessary, I just thought that it might be interesting to give the players more ways to build up the necessary momentum than just collecting the blue spheres. I still had a lot of fun though, so this is a bit more of a post-jam suggestion.
Cool game! the concept was really easy to grasp and the music was great. Had a lot of fun with this one!
Fun little game! I ended up playing this one all the way through. Visuals work very nicely and I found the core mechanic fun. My favorite level was the last one, adding that time element made things a lot of fun.
Awesome entry! I had a lot of fun! Getting to the notes and dodging the bullets was both satisfying and challenging. I interpreted the theme in the exact same way, you should check my game out!
Loved this game! (and thanks for reviewing mine ) Definitely one of my favorites so far. That last song is brutal but after 3-4 attempts I beat it! Music is great and so are the graphics, my only suggestion is to allow the player to use a key like "z" or "x" to hit the beats. Clicking AND moving the mouse on those directional beats is really difficult. Overall, great entry!
Wow! incredible entry you guys! The graphics and gameplay were stunning! I had a lot of fun with this one, but unfortunately I died to the last wave.
Hey, it seems that your downloads are missing the data file for your Unity game. Make sure when you build your game to put it in a folder and zip it into a compressed file, that way all your assets are preserved. As is your game doesn't seem to run.
I really liked this game! the graphics and music are top notch!
Cool game! the gameplay was a little confusing but I eventually figured it out, the game looks really nice, you're getting points in that area. I think adding a little depth to your mechanics in the form of powerups or enemy types would help, but it's understandable considering the time constraint.
Also...
@splendiddog I had the exact same idea for interpreting the theme, you should check my game out!
I had to stop myself at 120 dudes before I just spent an hour dragging and dropping guys in haha. It's surprisingly fun, adding some extra particle effects and making it so you can fling dudes with gravity would go a long way too. Good entry.
Cool little entry, I liked it! It was hard to control the car but after I got better at it it became very satisfying to move in tight turns. Good job you guys! Looking forward to seeing what you make next time
Check out my game if you've got some time :D
Cool little game, I think you have a really solid base here for a great arcade/mobile game! It might help to make the player accelerate downwards as he falls to give the player slightly more control over his movement, but other than that just adding some depth in the challenges the game throws at the player would be great!
Cool game! I think it would add a bit more depth to your game if you implemented some direct way to control the swarm. I also felt as though the movement was a little too slow and unresponsive. Interesting take on using a swarm though, I've never seen anything like this.
Cool game! I like the art direction, and I found the gameplay fun. It was always nervewracking when I had to move off screen to get logs for my fire.
Great entry! I really liked this one! The gameplay was fun and satisfying and I ended up playing it for awhile
Cool game! You really did a lot with a little here! I haven't reviewed too many games yet but so far this one is my favorite, I was dissapointed when there were no more levels after the one with perlite, but I hope you'll take that as a complement haha. My only suggestion is to make the cracks a bit more visible, sometimes they were a little hard to see.
Good title! I liked it! I found timing my swings to combat the various enemies very satisfying, perhaps making the swings a bit more responsive would be good however.
Oww my fingers... made it to wave 15! I really liked this one! Perhaps just because I wanted an excuse to use my spamclicking skills. Your music is a little on the weak side, visuals are decent, and I enjoyed the gameplay. Perhaps adding in some powerups or enemies with weak spots would help add depth to your game so that it's not just left clicking over and over again. Good entry!
Interesting little game! I found it a little confusing at first but the survival guide helped me. I think you did a really good job with the mood and overall it was a decent entry.
Fun little title, I liked it! Some of the enemy placement was pretty clever, but I'd have liked to see you make use of the main mechanic of vision reduction more, as is it didn't really effect my gameplay a whole lot.
Cool game! Good job with the graphics and music!
Definitely a contender for rank 1 graphics in the whole competition, great job you guys! Makes me wish I went for a similar art style with my entry :P
Dug so deep the game crashed, 10/10, played this one for awhile lol
Loved the graphics, nice work!
Neat game! Pretty short but I liked it, great graphics
Absolutely incredible entry! Every thing was on-point, really, great job! You guys have earned my first 5-star overall this jam!
Nice entry! Simple but fun
Great entry, tons of fun! I ended up playing it to completion and got a score of 10187! Very well balanced, not too hard not too easy.
VOICE ACTING YES!!! Always awesome to see that in a jam game, great work!
Cool entry! I like the music, very relaxing
Great game! Short but sweet, I like it!
Great entry! It was a ton of fun to run around and collect treasure, and the mood was on point! A few of the encounters I had down in the deep really got my heart pumping haha!
Really enjoyed this one, fantastic entry! The difficulty was just right and it was a ton of fun listening to the sharks. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have the sharks you're standing on sing to the beat, how it is now it's a little discordant and kind of messes with the vibe you might've been going for. Overall, great job!
Wow fantastic entry, will definitely be high up in "fun" at the end I think, nice work.
Wow fantastic entry, will surely be near the top by the end! Had a blast collecting all the cards and beating all the schoolmates, nice work!
Very good "aha" moment, beat it with a time of 6:49 in the end, great meta-puzzle! Extremely amusing to discover the rules are faaar simpler than me and my friends were trying to come up with. Still unsure about what hint 2 on the itch page is talking about, but hints 1 and 4 were very important.
Nice work! Wish it was a bit longer but I liked the replay mechanic :)
Nice game! Was fun to cut out the stamps and try to get the highest quality, could definitely be a fun "cozy game" with the right mechanics, good work!
Nice entry! All the cards felt meaningful and I had a lot of fun trying to put a deck together, avoiding getting whittled down was hard though and sometimes felt out of my control.
Loved the graphics and mood lol! Nice work
Fantastic entry, a very fun spin on the deckbuilder formula, could definitely see this one developed further
Fun game! Drew me in more than I was expecting... for some reason reminded me of the "find Luigi" minigame...
Awesome idea for the theme, creating a collection of minigames for a 48 hour game jam is unhinged, but you managed to pull it off, great twist at the end too!
Nice entry! Was really fun trying to learn all the villagers' schedules for maximum tax collection :D
Great work for your first entry! Gameplay was fun, music was bumpin, art was cute (wish there was more of it!). Looking forward to seeing you again in future LD jams :D
Good entry, my main grievances are the floaty controls and the fact that sometimes projectiles were impossible to dodge.
@wildcard Thanks for the tip, but you CAN use left mouse to jump! it's in the instructions.
Wow, this was a good one! I enjoyed ducking and dodging about, luring enemies into my towers whilst trying not to get killed myself. You did a great job combining the two genres and turning them into a fun play experience. So far, this is my favorite game yet!
This is by far my favorite entry, I wouldn't be surprised if you landed top 10!
Great game! you did a fantastic job with the graphics, and the gameplay was very fun! I think you nailed down the survival aspect really well, but the tycoon/economy part wasn't incorporated as nicely so I gave you a lower rating on Theme (3.5). And it was a fairly generic survival game, so I gave you a lower score on innovation (3.0). But everything else was great! you got a 4.0+ in all other categories :D.
Great game! It was a lot of fun, but something that would have made the game more interesting is adding enemies of some sort.
Loved it! this was an awesome entry! The game was lots of fun and my only two gripes were very minor ones. Firstly, on the last stage it's very difficult to see your character's health bar because it blends in with the background, and secondly, the music could be a little better. Normally this would be a perfectly fine track for a Ludum Dare game, but since your game rests a lot on the music, having a mediocre track can drag down the game as a whole.
The art was pretty good but the game itself was lacking quite a bit of depth. It seems the best strategy is to simply play all your cards right off the bat and hope you got luckier than your opponent, after a few matches the game became pretty boring. Still, not the worst entry, it was fun for a bit.
Seems to be broken, once I launch the game all I see is a green checkered plane.
Yeah, that shows up, it just doesn't work
Yeah, I'm running a PC
Oh, is one required?
Short, but fun! I like it! It was really hard to tell whether or not I had selected a unit though, perhaps a highlight or indicator of some sort would have been nice?
A big problem with your submission was the controls, the ship is unnecessarily floaty and unresponsive, most of the time I was just sliding into enemy fire, and the fact that you can only take one hit doesn't help either. However, once I got over the controls the game was actually pretty good! perhaps having some way to stack the powerups would have been nice though, as after I got the ally ships and weapon upgrade collecting duplicates became meaningless.
You did an amazing job here! definitely one of my favorites, I found myself playing this one for quite a while. My one criticism is that you could have done the theme a bit better, as the combination of builder and action isn't that "incompatible". Still! excellent entry, you're in my top 5 :D.
Great entry! my only criticism is that you could haven implemented the Shoot Em' Up aspect a bit better, as currently it's a little unwieldy.
This game desperately needs a bit more player direction. As it is now it's a glorified guessing game, which is NOT very fun. It would have been much better if the platforms were shown briefly before the level starts, that way the player is tasked with the challenge of remembering them properly. Or maybe if platforms revealed themselves when you stepped on them. It feels like I'm just jumping around randomly, hoping I don't fall to my death.
I had huge issues with keeping track of both the blue and red arrows at the same time, it's almost impossible to get them BOTH down properly. Luckily since you can't die I was still able to enjoy the game, I just ignored the blue arrows. Although you did the rhythm aspect well, you failed to really incorporate it into the shooter in a meaningful way, since you can't control your ship at all. Instead of a rhythm-shooter game it just ended up being a rhythm game. Still, the game was decent and I ended up enjoying it.
You made a FANTASTIC shooter! ... and a pretty crappy Chess game. While I do see how you were trying to incorporate the movements of the Chess pieces into your game, there was no element of strategy that typically comes with Chess. Still, the game was extremely fun, and that's the most important part!
The concept was quite cool, but I feel like the game was ruined by the floaty controls.
Hahahaha! I love it! Although there's not much in the way of gameplay, ramming into stuff is fun enough on its own to qualify this as a game. My one criticism is that the controls feel a little unintuitive, the ship is a bit too floaty and turns too slowly.
My god that entry was brutal, but I loved every second of it, great game!
