At first I didn't really know what I was doing and I won. Then when I thought I figured it out I lost.

Now I'm winning, but I can't figure out how to get more cards than those I'm given at the start. How do I unlock/buy other cards?

I must say, your game looks very nice! All the art in the game looks really well done, props for that. I think that the most important improvement you can make would be to give the player more feedback. This would give players a better idea of how the actions they were making effect the gameplay. These could be simple visual cues or sound effects. Overall, nice game I had fun playing it! Congratulations on making a game in 48 hours!

Interesting take on the theme! I wasn't quite sure what I was doing at first, the enemy had no more cards, but the game seemed to keep going and nothing was really happening? I think a bit more explanation on how to play the game would be helpful ^_^

@goat-toaster-games thanks for play. When the enemy as no more cards you continue attacking directly your life points until 0 points and you win. thanks for feedback, i will implements this informatives on my games! thanks

I like the card and board design you came up with. The gameplay was a little rudimentary, but it surely isn't easy to come up with an intricate card game and implement it in 48 hours. Considering this, props to you for going for a card game and managing to put out a playable version in this short amount of time. I hope you keep up this creativety in future jams. Intersting take on the theme, nicley done! 🙂

@rac-games thanks for play and rate. Really! it really was a very difficult mission to make a system of turns and battle of cards in a short time. I confess that I even thought about changing my mind or giving up, when I started doing it, it was going to be difficult. But I had already chosen and I went ahead. Thanks for playing!

Bug report: The screen on your Itch.io page is cut off. If you change your Itch page settings to fullscreen instead of embedded it will likely resolve that issue! I had to do that for my game.

Question: Is there a way to draw more cards? I only have 3 cards to start with and cannot figure out how to get more. I'm guessing there is some way to do that but it is off screen or something.

The art was pretty good but the game itself was lacking quite a bit of depth. It seems the best strategy is to simply play all your cards right off the bat and hope you got luckier than your opponent, after a few matches the game became pretty boring. Still, not the worst entry, it was fun for a bit.

Ditto the question about drawing more cards -- I only ever saw yellow 600/800/1000 cards.

In my 4-ish plays, it seemed like if one player draws a higher number than the other player, there's no way to beat it.

I was really confused at first, maybe add simple animations to show what is happening. Nice game for compo :)

@sapazu and @ed-b thanks for playing the game! I did not have time to codding all the cards in the game that I had planned for the "make up", so you got these impressions :( these things will stay for a future upgrade! Thanks to play and feedback!
