Hey there! This was a really fun one!
I also learned a few cool things about stamp collecting (I hope this is at least somewhat accurate). It was interesting to find out that you could wash the stamp too much and ruin its quality. That really made me feel like I was actually collecting stamps and loving my collection.
Organizing the desk was a bit of a challenge. I ended up just throwing the cut-out postcards outside the screen, but now I don’t know where the stamp was originally from. It would have been great if you could have stacked them together to keep them organized.
Lastly, I think there was enough original artwork that you could have chosen to opt in for graphics. I know, rules are rules, but the stamp art really isn’t a big part of the game in my opinion.
Overall, it was a great entry. I had a lot of fun!

This is a really neat game. The cutting, sponging and adding to the collection felt good. Your art for the letters and stuff looked really good.
The concept works really well and I think it could definitely be expanded into something awesome!

This idea was the first thing I thought of, but I decided to collect something else :D Nice art and mechanic of the cutting and sponge really are nice and made me smile. Unfortunately the game became a little tedious. But then again it might be a good reflection of how it feels to actually collect stamps... ha ha ha .. good job and great execution!
A nice cozy game! Add art and possible mechanics to improve your stamp collecting and release in steam!

Nice game! Was fun to cut out the stamps and try to get the highest quality, could definitely be a fun "cozy game" with the right mechanics, good work!
I love chill collection games like these. Took me a bit to learn how to cut the postmarks out just right.
Crazy!!! Chill, challenging, beautiful experience! aaand it's compo! Unbelievable! Outstanding job.
The cutting and cleaning mechanics were really cool and unique mechanics that I haven't seen before in a game jam

A stamp collection game couldn’t fit the theme any better. There’s a nice idea behind cutting out the stamps and removing the postmark. However, sorting them in the album isn’t very intuitive. It would have been nice to be able to reorganize the stamps if you don’t place them correctly. By the way, my dad used to tell me not to touch stamps with my fingers — you’re supposed to use stamp tongs. ;)
The postmark cutting wasn't the most intuitive, and I wasn't sure where to put which stamp, but the mechanics of it were amazing, and really well done on the vibe!

Good job :).
Great cozy game. Enjoyed sorting through the postcards. Getting a pile of them and flicking them off screen was part of the charm. It took a while to get my last few. That last rare just wouldn't come. and maybe the last 2 paintings. Maybe I just couldn't identify them.
If I could request 1 feature, it would be to have a mode to display the collection. It's a great game for sharing.

Couldn't stop myself :o

That's all i was hoping to get out of this ludumdare and more - a solid stamp collection game!
Loved the fact that i can just keep on spawning more mail to find that one rare stamp i need, also love the rare, epic, legendary stamp idea and the way you made them visible is great!

@kassanu @mdotedot @phanopera @willops @anete-ainjarv @mnemosynevl @justking144 @livingipod @ehtd Thank You for your overwhelming feedback. I'm really happy that you enjoyed the game and had a cozy time! :)
@nash I'm sorry to break it to you, but it's actually not how real stamp collecting works xD I had hoped for it to work like that, but when I checked online, it turned out to be quite different. You usually soak the stamp in water, to remove it from the envelope entirely and only cut it out to fit it in the water bowl. Also removing the postmark isn't easily done like that and also not desired to do. But in the end I decided to go with these mini games anyway, not sticking too much to reality but focus on what works for a game and still feels right and cozy :)
@vikfx Thank you for the feedback on the tongs. That would have been a nice touch to also have those as a tool and also add to the damage of a stamp if you moved it with your greasy hands :D Also it's possible to pop out a stamp from your collection again by pressing that red X. But I understand if you were too scared to do that, assuming that it might completely delete the stamp ;)
@pincushion @thoastnot OMG, you guys are crazy! :O I didn't even have the patience to fill half of the folder xD Thank you so much for play all the way till the end. Now I'm really glad that I found and fixed that bug, where after a few hundred letters, everything would get stacked behind the camera or you would have never been able to finish your collection, which really would have been a shame.. I guess I should indeed have made the folder smaller to fit the screen, so you could better share your amazing collection! :)
Nice chill game. The different mechanics are well implemented getting a stamp out and in the folder feels very satisfying. I think sound effects would have made it even better, but other than that a very good entry!
wow, thats great example of physical interraction, very meditative game

Fits the theme well. I liked that it was easy to play. You should develop it further :) Maybe something in the same category as Unpacking, you get to collect stamps and also read letters and see how the character goes through life periods.
Chill game, love the tactile feel of moving stuff around, throwing away, cutting manually... I think its a great addition to the theme.

Wow, I'm glad I found this one!
Like the others, I think it would be a great cozy game with more sound effects.
The only part that was frustrating for me is the "cutting stamp" part. I think I would like to follow the dotted line and validate the cut dot by dot, so I can have a clean, satisfying result (and it would be easier for trackpads).
However I acknowledge the effort to make the stamp pop out precisely where I cut it, and maybe most people like it that way ? Maybe I'm just too much of a perfectionist ? (That may be it actually )
Oh, and I saw that you mostly made this (and your other compo games) without using your hands. It's impressive! It would be great if you could write a blog post about your workflow and the tools you use. It would be interesting!
Anyway, great work!
Nice take on the theme ! I see we had a similar idea, I wanted to include a binder collection in my game too (the TCG game you commented on yesterday, or maybe early in the morning depending on your timezone). My only (small) complaint is that you quickly miss space to operate properly. But I kinda see why it's needed, if stamps or letters were too small the game would have been hard to do.
"I created this game mostly without using my hands, using eye tracking, voice commands and a list of other partially self-made tools." WHAT ? This is so nice ! Congrats ! I second the idea of a blogspot explaining this.

Very nice! It's very cute and fun. Moving things around the screen to make room seems kind of annoying at first, but it eventually just gives the game a lot of charm. Love it!

I'm with @yvanor and @littlegamer, release the details, I'd be very interested to know more. As for the project itself it's pretty unique. I have a little trouble cutting precisely at the moment due to an ongoing injury but the game seems to be fairly generous with what counts as accurate cutting. I also hate to sound like I'm just parroting other people here but @cobear25 is right, at first I wasn't loving the clutter but then I realized it actually adds to it and was a interesting little choice. Great work!

Interesting and addicting game, I like the graphics and idea in general. Good job!
Hi! I'm one of those people who loves collecting things like stamps, but I'm just a hobbyist. So, I found the game interesting. Overall, I liked a lot of things, but there are a few things I didn't like: the stamp book—it would have been much better if it appeared and disappeared when you clicked on it. It's a shame I had to remove it manually. Also, removing the stamp by hand instead of using a sponge didn't make any difference. I think the stamp cutting feature, like in Paint, is a feature from games from the '00s. So, keep it up!
By the way, if you like games with a slightly quirky atmosphere, you might want to check out our game too 🤪
Cute game. Definitely would have profitted from some music though. Was not sure which postmark belonged in which "pack". In any case, interesting application of the theme.
Really nice idea. Super cool. My only criticism would be it's a bit cramped, maybe accessing the album via a menu and having a way to dispose and recall the postcards would be better.
