The concept and the UI are very nice. The theme for "old tech" is clearly in. It misses a bit of sound in the background (music or background sound, I don't know). I didn't succeed in reaching the end. I don't understand how to use my orders well, I think.

I like this game.

shadyshade 2026-10-19 06:33 ♥ 1

It was fun! I really liked the polish and the art style of the game :)

brimstone 2026-10-19 06:45 ♥ 1

The UI was really nice, and it gave it a retro look. I found the game a little confusing though, I lost on wave 6.

indigowolf 2026-10-19 10:53 ♥ 1

Loved the graphics and really like the concept. Some ambient sounds of maybe a radar or computer would go a long way. Overall great entry!

rekk1d 2026-10-19 11:00 ♥ 1

@shadyshade @brimstone Thank you!

@mugule @indigowolf Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I agree — the game could use some background music

tweekus 2026-10-19 11:49 ♥ 1

Great art! I like the idea.

It feels like there’s room to grow here. For example, upgrades between waves could be a nice way to expand the game if you decide to keep working on it after the jam.

rekk1d 2026-10-19 12:07 ♥ 1

@tweekus Thanks! I was actually thinking about ways to make the waves more varied, but ran out of time to flesh it out. Upgrades between waves sound great!

tasakasama 2026-10-19 17:12 ♥ 1

It’s so well polished; it’s definitely the project that fits the theme the best out of all the ones I’ve played so far. A really great piece of work.

rekk1d 2026-10-19 17:14 ♥ 0

Thanks so much for playing, really appreciate it!

esh-k 2026-10-19 18:52 ♥ 1

A very interesting concept! I liked the graphics-you did a great job with those.

mediandev 2026-10-19 19:49 ♥ 1

Really good interpretation of the theme. The game has a very pleasant visual style and an easy to understand rock paper scissors mechanic, but it feels a bit too difficult. I couldn't reliably determine the optimal defensive choice and mostly ended up guessing. By wave 10, all enemies have high attack power, making it difficult to figure out which defensive options are safe to choose. The game could also use some background music. That said, I really liked the idea

evgenii-petrov 2026-10-19 20:34 ♥ 1

Interesting game, good idea and very clean UI. Reminds me one of these 90s dos-era games you need to figure out how to play.

cupofcuppuccino 2026-10-19 21:52 ♥ 1

I also like the color of your itch page ahhah. The overall UI style really attracts me. I really like how the words are typed out, and how the "Top Secret" sheet pops up. Might be better if the game has a bgm, but maybe this quiet, focused view on the radar tech conveys the atmosphere just as intended. Also, seems like the radar "hitting" area is the brightest green. I wonder what the following three-colored fading area mean, cause there seems not to be a punishment for hitting not exactly at the intended place, outside of wasting a bit of time. Overall very interesting to play!

dywanix 2026-10-19 23:02 ♥ 1

fun gameplay and such a lovely artstyle!

avi 2026-10-20 02:54 ♥ 1

Love the look of this! The green radar and chunky buttons really sell the old military console. Having to work out which blips are real with only a few decodes is a cool idea. Nice work!

rekk1d 2026-10-20 04:26 ♥ 2

@esh-k @evgenii-petrov @dywanix @avi Thanks for playing!

@mediandev Thanks for playing all the way to wave 10 and for the honest feedback! It’s actually less about guessing than it looks. Start with the strongest signal and decode its VALID. If it’s real, decode the type and put the right defense on it. If it’s FALSE, don’t waste a decode on its type, just move on to the next strongest one and repeat.

@cupofcuppuccino Thanks, glad you liked the itch page and the typing too :) Only the brightest part of the beam can lock targets. The three fading shades behind it are just phosphor afterglow, like on old CRT radars, so they’re purely visual. You’re right that missing only costs time, except after the EMP when locking a fake blip jams LOCK for a moment.

ndiuky 2026-10-20 07:20 ♥ 1

I liked this graphics, nice work!

z1biks 2026-10-20 09:38 ♥ 1

That's an interesting idea; it would be nice to see it in a fully polished game. It would also be nice to have background music, as well as music that plays when an enemy approaches or when there's very little time left.

rekk1d 2026-10-20 10:44 ♥ 0

@ndiuky Thank you :)

@z1biks Thanks a lot for the feedback! I’ve actually been thinking about continuing the game after the jam. As for the sound, I was adding it literally in the last hours of the jam, so there was just no time to cover everything.

perrarancino 2026-10-20 12:26 ♥ 1

the radar operator fantasy is so well executed, locking signals on the sweep and deciding whether a blip is a real attack or a false echo is a genuinely tense little loop. the console UI is gorgeous and the old military hardware look fits the theme perfectly. did you ever consider adding background sound, or did you want the silence to feel like an empty base? really polished work.

vorondesan 2026-10-20 13:17 ♥ 1

Artslyle and gameplay are great, wish there was music and some background noise. One of the best entries i`ve tried.

ao-85 2026-10-20 16:14 ♥ 1

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff

rekk1d 2026-10-20 16:22 ♥ 1

@perrarancino @vorondesan Thank you so much for playing! I was thinking about adding music, because I felt the game was really missing it without any background sound. Unfortunately I just didn’t have time to make it before the deadline

@ao-85 Thanks a lot, glad you had fun!

muhyrla 2026-10-20 17:39 ♥ 1

almost done it :(

111.jpg

background music is a good feature +1 that puzzle part itching my brain which is great adding some more events (like echo) will be great

tykki19 2026-10-20 18:27 ♥ 1

Game premise is pretty engaging and good amount of instructions put in. Locking targets and decoding them was fun but it was a little bit unclear then if I was correct in tagging them and was there something I could have done better. Great entry!

the3rdhunter 2026-10-20 19:03 ♥ 1

Lots of good tutorial content in the game, which was very helpful. The visuals, especially the menu interaction is probably my favourite part of the game. The audio that is present is great, but it really misses some BG music to help the intensity and the ambience. Very solid and polished for a compo entry. Great work!

tenthousandfireants 2026-10-20 20:17 ♥ 1

pretty good theme, I've always liked these old style military war sim games, ive wanted to make an arma reforger mod mini game similar to this but with player radio transmissions and helicopters nearby. I feel like I don't quite get enough time during the first few waves. but the figuring out which radar blips to prioritize is interesting.

sevansevan 2026-10-20 21:29 ♥ 1

Is this really winnable? With two orders per wave, one is guaruanted to pass through so taking 1 or 2 damage per wave seems mandatory :) Other than that, great work!

purpledartfrog 2026-10-20 22:50 ♥ 1

Love this ❤️

rekk1d 2026-10-21 04:29 ♥ 2

@muhyrla @tykki19 @the3rdhunter @tenthousandfireants @sevansevan @purpledartfrog Thanks for playing!:)

helagos 2026-10-21 11:32 ♥ 1

I love the menu design and the game itself is pretty clear, but not so easy with decision making. Great job, it's a solid entry !

rekk1d 2026-10-21 11:35 ♥ 0

@helagos Glad you liked it, thanks!

notnasiul 2026-10-21 11:52 ♥ 0

It's some kind of Mastermind, right? But I felt I always lost a little bit of health, could just minimize damage. With only four decriptions and eight options to decode you need to spread them out and best (informed) guess? Intriguing concept!

rekk1d 2026-10-21 12:17 ♥ 0

@notnasiul Thanks for playing! Yes, exactly, you can’t save everything, the goal is to lose as little as possible. My tip is to start with the strongest signal and check VALID first, then decode its type only if it’s real

khananaphone2 2026-10-21 21:32 ♥ 0

It's neat, though the logic puzzle aspect seems slightly half-baked (which is fine, hard to fine-tune these things when you have no time). The radar/timed clicking is just sort of annoying, and not really sure what the EMP adds. Still fun enough though, just needs a little something gameplay-wise.

willops 2026-10-21 21:37 ♥ 0

Decent entry, nice take on the theme ad great graphics! The gameplay itself felt a little stale after while though

ruthiepee 2026-10-22 11:31 ♥ 1

I failed after 8 waves but I still had fun. Lovely interface, that's perhaps the best part of the game. The tutorial and escalating terminal messages are well-written and intuitive. Great vibes and totally nails the theme.

shoalmuse 2026-10-22 11:54 ♥ 1

Very nice graphics and the interface works quite well. I did get stuck on some levels with nothing to do but watch the time count down at some points.

rekk1d 2026-10-22 11:57 ♥ 0

@ruthiepee @shoalmuse Thanks for playing!

@jawdan Thank you!:)

sanechekz 2026-10-22 17:36 ♥ 0

It’s a bit hard to figure out what’s going on at first, but the tutorials definitely help! The graphics look great. Nice work!

lucky-racoon 2026-10-22 20:43 ♥ 0

Fun game, it fit the theme very well. It had a good difficulty level, not too hard, not to easy. The game itself made sense; it fit together like a well done puzzle. It was very polished. Good Job!

yourykiki 2026-10-23 07:49 ♥ 1

I like games with old monochrome radars !

Good tutorial inside the game, which help a lot. I'll retry other runs (best 7 days at the moment). I didn't get if shooting a false signal remove health point. I don't really get how I lose HP actually.

Well executed, in 2 days 🎖 🫡 It's really nice work !

rekk1d 2026-10-23 09:14 ♥ 1

@sanechekz Thanks for playing! Glad the tutorials helped you figure it out.

@lucky-racoon Really glad you enjoyed it, that means a lot!

@yourykiki Thanks so much for playing, happy you liked it! False signals never take HP, putting a defense on one just wastes that order. You only lose HP from real attacks: full power if there’s no defense or the wrong type, about half with the universal one, and if the timer runs out every real attack hits at full power.

harmadillo 2026-10-25 15:06 ♥ 0

Good tutorial and difficulty pacing. Unfortunately my base was destroyed in the last wave.

rekk1d 2026-10-25 16:33 ♥ 0

@harmadillo Thanks for playing!

darkshadow 2026-10-25 20:46 ♥ 0

Great concept and nicely executed.

andriybyelikov 2026-10-25 22:37 ♥ 0

Kudos for making a mouse only game. I think the difficulty could be eased, especially when the clock goes haywire.

alexandru-barbanoua 2026-10-25 22:39 ♥ 0

I'm sorry, but this is like the freaking fifth game with a radar mechanic I've played in this jam! But honestly, yours is probably the best one so far. The visuals, gameplay, and overall feel are really well done. Had a great time playing it!

rekk1d 2026-10-26 16:36 ♥ 2

@darkshadow @andriybyelikov @alexandru-barbanoua So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

ltyrosine 2026-10-29 00:24 ♥ 0

Nice little game.

I have to learn this skill of making simple yet fun games on LDs.

Cool graphics that adds to the mood. The game itself is already on theme, but the EMP event makes no doubt =D

Congrats.
