Great job! I enjoyed the game's audio, and I also liked wandering around and exploring the game's locations. Shooting enemies with the bow feels quite satisfying. Thanks for the game!

I REALLY liked the animation on the enemies in this! and the audio :) Lovely work here. Well done.
The atmosphere is great. The animations are good. The characters are well modeled. 👍
Nice little entry! Good ambience
Funny dungeon escaper that resembles old games. The self-recorded sounds of npcs is really laughter provider))
Nicely made. For some reason this reminds me of myst.
I liked the music! The churchlike choir seemed to really fit in with the vibe you were going for. Nice entry!
Very nice mood and the enemies made me chuckle. I enjoyed running around the labyrinth even though I'm not very good at staying alive. Nice game!
The music is nice and atmospheric, and the voice acting has a charm to it.
I have no idea what they say but I chuckling every time, loved it. This is some mad amount of modelling work for a jam. Got lost a little and not sure where the end of the game supposed to be, but was fun bashing the monks.
Thanks so much for all the comments, I'm glad you had fun!
Cheeks went a bit freaky with the damage voice acting xD that was very funny. Neat game, it runs really poorly on my browser but maybe that's just unity on web. The sword swings could be a bit more snappy and hits could have a bit more feedback, but good oldschool dungeon. Characters are very well made. Good job!
Thumbs up for old-school games made without AI!
Nice game! The audio is definitely unique hahaha. The controls of the character and the movement of the enemies feel a bit sloppy and robotic to me but otherwise nice done :)
OBS crashed
Well done. It does resemble old games but my first impression was Nobeta (which itself resembles old games). The final lever was perhaps a bit too nasty given the timer and the unclear victory condition (although it wasn't the only lever in the game, so perhaps that was on me). Impressive 3D modelling given the timeframe. Alea iacta est.
A classic formula well made for replayability, with fantastic 3D quality given the time in which it was made. Loved the voice acting!
Nice atmosphere, especially the audio. The character models are also excellent, really incredibly well done. I found the lever but I didn't get much further than that. I think having a map available would have been nice, and I might have been able to find the end. But I did enjoy what I saw.
The music and general atmosphere is really nice! I think it is missing some visual feedbacks, especially when hitting enemies. But overall good job!
Well done! I love the big headed skeletons giving headbutts :D
The enemies have a nice balance between cute and creepy. And the music fits the setting very well. Having the torch slowly deplete adds natural tension: I do not want to be stuck there in the dark!
It would be nice to have rewards dotted throughout the maze, though perhaps that doesn't fit the atmosphere you're trying to achieve. Right now, exploration is only punished (by depleted torch, time, and health). If that's the goal, then... good job? :P If it's not, you might consider adding some flavor of rewards.
I struggled to judge when I was within striking distance of enemies and when I was out of their striking distance. Perhaps there can be more cues for combat, to make it easier to understand when the player is about to hit and/or be hit.
It was quite satisfying seeing the blood spurt from the cultists. Yeah, take that >:)
Pretty neat, I liked the mood, it's the strong point of this entry.
The combat feels a bit slow, and I found a bug where you can reload the cross bow when it is already loaded and loose an amo in the process (or, is it a feature? I guess in real life you should not try to reload an already loaded crossbow, that seems dangerous too)
As someone mentioned, a map would have been nice addition too!
Anyway good job, you clearly put a lot of effort into this.
@rogual @tomtomgome @mikemikemakes Thanks for playing! Just to let you know, the lack of a map or exploration rewards are intentional, it's not meant to be a looting or exploration game, it's a maze with a time limit to escape as soon as possible, and at the end screen it even tells you how long it took (and says gold, silver, bronze based on that). Including a map would really defeat the purpose of the game, because if you know where to go then it's very easy to sprint past everything and get out (I believe in testing I could reach the end in 45 seconds if I ignored all enemies and ran the fastest route). We had hoped people might try multiple times, knowing which ways were dead ends on the second run and getting faster attempts.
@cheeks I don't necessary mean a map of the whole level from the start, but rather a map that reveals itself as you explore the maze.
I get your intentions by letting the player being clueless, but I did a few runs and I could not grasp the layout of the maze and remember it well enough so that I could reuse my experience from run to run. After many many runs I might have, or I could have started drawing the map on paper myself.
But there are also other ways, less straightforward than a map, that could have helped the player orient themselves : Having color coded paths or areas, a compass, enemy types, that kind of things. These are more work, but maybe a better compromise.
Wow! This has potential!
I had a bit buggy experience with the lighting flickering and movement warping and rotating weirdly.
Nice work anyway, especially as you did not use any AI :)
Nice little game! I escaped finally, took 4-5 tries. There were some graphics bugs, not sure if Unity's fault or perhaps just the web build + my browser combo. Anyhow, I had fun. Good work!
@duudel movement warping and weird rotation is concerning. We didn't notice that in any of our tests, and I played through it again now on the webgl version and didn't notice that at all. Can you give me any more info, like did that happen in a specific location, or while doing something?
@cheeks I had some slight stuttering happen throughout the run. I was in a bigger room and was moving and rotating the view and suddenly there was a jump.
I wonder if it was some big stutter, where the frame delta time got somehow bigger and the rotation+movement applied that frame was so big that it felt like a "warp". I wasn't that far from where I had been, but lost my bearings for a moment. This happened a couple times.
This was with the webgl version.
I really struggled playing this unfortunately. Maybe I was playing it the wrong way, but I never got very far and then lack of healing and fairness in fights made it feel impossible to progress far. The 3D models were nice though and it had a good atmosphere, and my troubles may very much just be my own problems and not the game's 😆

@local-minimum thanks for playing, it was fun to watch how someone else interacts with the game. I noticed that you pulled the lever in the library a few times but didn't notice that the bookshelf to the right moved and revealed the path forward. If you had gone that way you could have reached the end. Perhaps a noise to indicate bookshelves moving would have helped.
