The atmosphere is really well done, and I love the idea of listening to cassette tapes and carefully identifying specific sounds and timestamps. The slow-paced gameplay fits the concept really well and makes you feel immersed in the experience. Overall, it's a simple but very enjoyable game with a cool concept and a great atmosphere. Really nice work!

I was highly confused by what I actually have to do. I understood to play the tapes and type in some timestamp, but I couldn't connect what to type in and what actually was wanted, felt rather punishing to me. The concept feels good tho, the goal for me was not clearly conveyed.

@feraligatr hey! Thank for your feedback! I want to fix this thing, and add a hint to the game.

The spookiest of jobs. It was a bit of a struggle for me because the embedded view is so small but full screen doesn't seem to play nice with my ultrawide and I couldn't see what the customers/NPCs were saying, which left me confused until I realized that. After that it was easy to grasp what to do.
Good job on the atmosphere!

@nondev thanks for feedback <3 I think the button issue isn’t my fault, sorry!

Freaky, I like the way the text dialog writes out, took a while to work out what to do and everything felt clunky. The little sticky note I couldn't read if it was a tutorial or tip or anything.

@darkshadow The sticky note is a just some kind of a storytelling text. The first npc is a guide npc that tell basics of the game.

I really like the vibe of it, the dark environment and irrelevant voice pieces make things immersive and eeire. But I feel that maybe it could be better if the gameplay have more content? Maybe some narrative or puzzle elements could help. Overall it's a nice work with a unique atmosphere!

Great atmosphere! Kept me on my toes. You could probably work this into a nice little horror title with some building suspense :)

Kudos on finishing your entry! The cassette-and-timestamp setup is an atmospheric idea, and the hand-drawn figure against the dark office looks great. Congrats for the game!

I quite liked how the dark office and child-like voice on the recordings come together to a somewhat unsettling atmosphere. I also liked the variety in NPCs that come in, they all have so much personality in how they look. I can definitely see how this can be expanded to have some sort of mystery you're piecing together from the different tapes. Nicely done!

That was special, but I liked it. Pretty creative way to display the three different point of views :)

it was a nice game but my main critique is that you gain money but can't spend it! also when the text got too long it went outside of frame. Otherwise it was a cool game!

Please VicaVersa can you share with me a pic of this bug? Yeah, I didn't add a progression to the game, because i didn't know what kind of upgrades i could add.

Nice visual and atmosphere. I was trying to read the sticky note but couldn't figure out what's written there.
The game’s core fantasy is really cool: you’re a tired police officer working late after visiting a crime scene, reviewing voice recordings while your boss waits for you. I haven’t seen this in games before, but it’s familiar from TV shows, films, and stereotypes about police work. I’d probably play something like this. This Is the Police explores police life in a somewhat similar way.
However, I spent about two minutes trying to figure out how to pick up the cassette. I tried every button but couldn’t work out how to turn the camera or find the tape. I thought it was somewhere near the computer and didn’t realize the camera could turn.
Otherwise, it was really cool. Thanks a lot.

Nice game, I like the unsettling dark atmosphere and character designs. I think the text box should be a bit more obvious that it's there, because at first I wasn't sure what to do until I noticed that it even was a text box. Other than that, I think the game is pretty solid and would be cool to see expanded upon with new gimmicks and perhaps some more horror elements!

I loved the characters and their sprites, very lovely ❤️. What was the room on the left for? I was spooked the whole game that some monster would appear there hahah, since the atmosphere was a bit unsettling. Good job making the game solo!! ^^
