nice one, played for 5min
nice simple game
Nice game. For some reason got very engaged in it. Pixel-art is neat. Lacks some better UI and little visual stuff to make it feel better.
So, it's a really difficult one, could not win at all even trying several times, but surely have fun doing. I liked the concept and the mechanics, as they are simple to understand and the controls respond very well. The graphics and sounds also are nice.
Dr. Jonathan could really pump his research up by hiring an assistent.
@macdoom Thanks. I like that you enjoyed it. The dangers should be falling stones from the ceiling. Didn't have time to implement that unfortunately.
@mehrdadsh Great, still few minutes more than I would at least hope!
@crescent Thanks, appreciated!
@wans24 Great that you enjoyed it! I will try to work on UI and visuals next jam!
@derek-volker Oh, sorry that you got the impression that the game is somehow winnable. It's actually endless challenge. I understand that the story might give the impression. I will work on that definitely. However thanks for kind words. And I may tell Dr. Jonathan to hire an assistant during the next jam if it will suit the theme!
Great game, nice artwork and good game idea!
I had similar idea when I first read the Theme "Keep it alive" :) but I decided to go in other idea. Nice game.
I don't think I fully understand some of the mechanics since I'm losing quite fast, but I liked the overall idea and the visuals are quite funny. I think a couple of extra tutorials would be really helpful : )
Nice music, some really good pixel art, and very engaging. Its a trap!
@codingninjajoas Thanks a lot!
@bgamedev I believe, this idea struck me so fast.
@jbdev I'm sorry, I can imagine that the tutorial is unsufficient, but the time press was too much for me and I had to focus on other stuff. So basically what you need to do is to stand on the platform of the color that Franko is lacking. If one of the bars goes below zero, you lose. If one of the bars goes above 100, you lose as well. Meanwhile you are being attacked (red exclamation marks) every once in a while. If you don't dodge the attack in time, you lose percentage of each bar. Hope it makes more sense now. Next jam I will try to focus more on understandability.
@azo Thanks, I really appreciate that since I don't consider myself an artist or musician.
Nice concept, well executed. And it's made with Godot, yeeeeeeah. Long live Godot !
@helgrind Thanks! Yeah, I like working with Godot but I am actually moving to Löve2D because I want a little more control. But I still consider Godot a steady choice for fast prototyping.
Nice simple game! Fun graphics too! Some sort of progress bar to show how far you are from reviving would have been nice.
A very polished and smooth game with a very clear implementation of the theme. The graphics are quite good and with very minimal information I am ready to play it. The the controls work as you expect them too, so no frustration or anything while playing. I would say that you did a very good job!
Nice simple game! The story is cool and sets up the mood nicely and the mechanics are well implemented and quite polished. Not sure if there is an end to it though, besides getting owned in one way or the other. I liked the graphics and the music fits in quite good as well. Looking forward to more from you. Cheers!
Fun story with nice graphics. Game-play was fine, but not too interesting.
@lurkerrip Thanks for comment! I'm sorry to confuse you but there is no real reviving, you have to lose eventually.
@hare-software Thanks for so many kind words!
@cvetk0 You are right, there's no end to it. You have to lose one way or another. I might expand this idea one day by adding more monsters and some progress. But right now it's just mini game. Thanks a lot.
@nanolotl Thanks for comment :)
I'm so good at this that it went rampage in some oportunities. Then I realized I could stand still without presing any buton to let Franko rest... Nice game. Some more features aditional elements and more FXs can take it to an intresting level. Keep it UP!
@san2020 I'm glad that you like it! I don't want to disappoint you but mathematically there's no way for it not to go rampage if you don't use the "restplace", because the increase rate is higher than the decrease rate. I admit that I might have communicated the existence of the restplace more clearly. Maybe by creating a black platform or something like that. Thanks for feedback!
@reiqy I think it could be part of the learning process. It's not bad if there is no mention to "the rest place" ajajajja
This was so good! Really clever idea and it fits the theme nicely! I am happy to see a godot entry. Keep up the good work! :clap:
Included your game in my list) https://wans24.itch.io/he-needs-healing/devlog/140983/what-ludum-dare-46-did-to-me
@stefan-jovanovic Thanks for your comment. I like to see that people actually enjoy the game!
@wans24 Oh! Thanks, really nice list you have there. I discovered some games that I didn't play before. Great that you liked the game :)
Good game. Loved that the music seemed to change with the buttons.
I reached a score of 19 (after losing a few times) but I'm not sure if I played this correctly :P Please tag me if I did this wrong ^^
@sludgybeast Thanks, unfortunately, it must have been your imagination :( But good idea to implement if I want to expand on this!
@lyrcaxis Thanks for comment. Not sure if you played this correctly when I don't see your gameplay but I think people most often forget that they don't have to stand on any of the buttons and can give Franko a bit of a rest. The goal is not to win. There's no winning condition. It's about not losing for as long as possible. The damage of Franko's attacks increases over time. Glad you played the game!
