This gave me some tron vibes :D i loved the art style and the retro look and feel of the game. The idea is very cool and unique as well. Sound effects and background music were very fitting and smooth. I liked this game a lot overall :D i spent way more time than I thought I would playing this and will come back to play it again later. Really cool and over time gets pretty challenging. Controls were nice and smooth as well. Very good
Oh man, this is one of the best games I played today :D really fun, Nice graphic and animations, it drips in style :D and the gameplay I smooth and rewarding. Good job!
This is really good. Love the art/sound design especially. This is one of the more unique games I've seen so far because of the world shrinking mechanic. Nice job!

Fun game, great sound, and graphics, I just wish there was more content as a game. Munch mode was especially fun though ;).

The music matches the visuals perfectly, evoking an 80s CGI sort of feeling.

Great job! One of my favorites so far. It would be nice to see more content, but it was still enjoyable to play.

Yeah munch mode was awesome! The music is really nice. I especially liked how the two tracks sounded enough alike that the switch between them was pretty smooth. The planet was a nice color, and the rabbit was cute, but the camera angle didn't really let you appreciate the model.
I really liked the idea of your game, and the vibes it gave off as you ran around patching holes in the planet. I actually thought it was pretty funny, if you check out my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/chips-planet-defense mine plays out nearly the same as your does. Although if i'm being honest, I think you executed on it much better than I did
Fun game, got 180 700, I have no clue on how that compares. The music is good, the graphics are nice and its fun.

This was awesome! The graphics were great and the game play was fun! 50992 was my best score after a few tries.
Amazing job for Jam. Graphics were polished, music was super suitable, gameplay was simplistic but with power-ups and things that added variety and made it more interesting. Amazing job, expect this to rank highly.

The title screen animation is awesome! It was a pleasant surprise to see that such a polished title screen.
The music and the art mashes great together, made the game very rhythmic and made the movement feel great. The mechanics is simple to grasp, after dying once because I didn't know what I was doing, I managed to survived 1:20 and got a score of 72597. The carrot mechanics is very clearly, giving a change the pacing of the game and made the player feels empowered.
I think it is a very complete and fun game, I was tempted to say you can add more types of collectibles and power ups to increase the variety of the game but I don't know if complicating the game more is a good thing.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this game and it is definitely one of the best I've seen so far. Well done guys! You should be proud of yourselves.
Great game! Loving the retro rabbit and very rewarding game play. Overall great composition!
Great game! The music is really catching and gameplay is fun. Good entry.

Saw this on a stream and had to pop by and play it! Very fun stuff, love the bunny art :D
Awesome music & graphic! the retro-style keyed up the whole gameplay a lot, nice and clear. What else should I say? It could be a great mobile game if add more content in the future!~ Final score: 95106
Awesome! The music is great, especially in munch mode. I also enjoyed the pacman-esque mechanics.

Nice game. The game looks very good and is very easy to control. I was able to get a score of 86638 . Maybe you could add moving enemys, hunting the rabbit (ex. a fox).
Nice work on the music, graphics, and game! Great indicators audio and visually of the carrot power up timing. Easy to use controls and fun little game. Could even make a mobile game?
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for trying our game and also for commenting. We really appreciate every single rating you guys give!
@simple-blue yes, that's the plan for the next iteration :D
I was doing my Riemann Geometry homework and calculating the geodesic curves of sphere surface. You game let me have a chance to examine my calculating results visually lol.
The gameplay is awesome and addictive! I got a 93930 and 01:26 :P Love the music part most. :D
Great job! Everything looks great, the vibe works, gameplay is nice and fluid, sounds are great. Awesome stuff.
Really enjoyed this! Simple idea but top-notch execution! Music was great too and just made it a whole lot more exciting. I didn't realize I get bigger until the second munch mode when I ate so much haha (and then i died). Gameplay didn't feel unfair. One nitpick though, is that I thought the green stuff was *bad* (I thought it was poison or something). I only realized it was good when I tried to eat it on the third try
All in all this is a really great entry! Great job! :)

@undefinist Yes, picking radioactive green wasn't the best choice.. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
@drestuff Were you able to make the world so small that you inverted the world? :O Great work! We didn't set a limit to the world contracting so after a certain point the calculation of the scores would get really wonky!
Cool graphics and dynamics, really like it. :carrot:
@drestuff Amazing! We never actually got close to inverting our world during the extensive testing we did before publishing the game. We did take into consideration of the world shrinking way pass its actual scale, causing it to invert itself. However, we saw this as nearly impossible and decided to keep it to see if anyone could actually reach that point. You pretty much "beat the game", I can tell you that for sure XD.

A super cool arcade game! Actually, this is the most smooth and well-formed game I played so far. I love the graphics, the music, and the tempo. And, who doesn't love carrots?
For improvement, I guess it would be more fun to make the rabbit jump, with additional elements in the air or something. The gameplay in this version is still not complex enough.
But hey, you guys just did a great job! Congrats!
I can't see a Jam winner but you guys ;)
Cool music! I love the "new retro wave" look :p The game is fun, controls are simple. Well done !

Looks like Pac-Man mixed with Snake. Retro-like wireframe models look nice. It's nice that you thought about showing that munch-mode is going to end. I didn't last that long, but i guess that after many carrots rabbit is large enough that it becomes a planet, and planet becomes single rock?
Not bad, the style is great, but the camera movement is too agressive. I enjoiyed it. Congratulations!
Great audio, fun gameplay! A+
Nice graphics and really fun gameplay. I kinda wish there was more to it but what's there now is great

Really well polished game! The controls were really responsive and at the begining I tried munching the rocks(?) :) The game ran smooth and the art was really nice. Overall a very strong entry!!!
Nice, it had some nice progression in it, cool art and the music fits. Great job ! If something I wished it would have a bit more gameplay in terms of maybe a power up or some enemies that you needed to kill. But me wanted more is a good thing :) Cheers
Very nice! But controls are hard. Some times pressing button works like holding the button. Sometimes not. It confuses me a lot.
Really fun entry my high score is 43764. Nice music and art. My one critique is that the controls are A and D but the title screen has left and right arrows but they don't work. If you get a chance check out our game (also has rabbits) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/down-the-rabbit-hole

Very fun little time-killer game! The sound effects and graphics match perfectly. Very interesting concept. Controls are easy to understand. You could still add some more features as you make progress (I only lasted for 1:01 or something so I'm not sure if there's anything as you survive longer). If this isn't already a mobile game this would be an excellent one! Had really fun, played it a lot! Good job!
Really nice and funny game ! I didn't understand immediately what I was suppose to do (especially with the green gaz thing) but after trying twice it was easy to get the objective of the game ! Really good entry, easy to play, graphics are nice, love the music (changing when picking up the carrot).
I don't know if it's a good one but here is my best score :

Had much fun playing this game... well, for as long as I lasted, haha. Munch mode rocks!
I love the simplistic yet very attractive graphics this game has as well as the great music which really adds to the mood of speeding around the small globe. And once you die, I like how the music changes to a more morbid theme.
So far, this is one of the best games I've played in LD38. Keep up the good work!

Awesome job guys! I only scored 92121 but it was super fun. The music/the pace makes it really enjoyable!
Nice game! It was pretty cool and I had a nice time with it. But I feel like it could take too long before becoming really challenging (which was the moment I enjoyed it the most)

An incredible execution. While simple, the game wasn't only satisfying, but applying the theme of a small world to the mechanics of the game was a blend of the most exquisit harmony that I've seen in LD games so far.
First of all, the presentation is a blast. The game has a retro feeling, with some simple yet effective graphics for most of the part. They look so good when put together. The choice for music and sound works as well.
But it all boilds down to the gameplay, which, I insist, was very clever. The game seems to be constantly adding things to plug and rocks to dodge. The difficuly doesn't come from adding *more*, but from making the world smaller and smaller. It's a small design choice that I still consider among the most creative things I've seen so far in this jam. It's so subtle, yet so effective. I want y'all to give a very solid high five in my behalf to whoever suggested that one.
I like leaving feedback to jam games, but I can't think about what else this could have had. It got the high scores, and the power ups, and a hooking gameplay. If you'd like to reconstruct this project in the future, I could only think of adding cosmetics and the like, and sticking to the core if you do end up deciding to add more power ups, levels or hazards. As it is, the game would make for a very addicting mobile game.
All in all, this game exceeds expectations. I just hope that more people see the cleverness of the shrinking world mechanic. I know I keep bringing it up, but it's just *that* good. I still insist that the small but clever decisions in game designs are the ones that make up the best games. And this is one fo the best. Keep up the good work! :whale:

Great game, really fun. I really liked the carrot:carrot: mechanic and how you remove rocks by using it!
@those-30-ninjas That's really weird. I just tried both WebGL and Windows version, both <- and -> keys worked completely fine. Us devs would probably have to look into that once we start updating our game. Also, will definitely try your game soon :D
@yami-no-tenshi-8 That is actually one of the higher (if not, the highest) score I've ever seen so far :O. Good job!
@moski Woah! Thank you so much for the positive comprehensive feedback. Really appreciate it and we're glad you enjoyed the game!

Very nice game. It's really fun and simple. And it has it's own style that you would not forget. Also it feels complete which is not something you expect from a jam game.
Well done
hey really nice job with this game! the graphics and audio are outstanding. i especially liked the music change when you enter munch mode, this was super satisfying! i also appreciate the attention to details, like flashing the objects when munch mode is almost up. these sorts of things are easy to overlook or simply leave out in a game jam, so nice job. the game over music was really nice as well. i really liked the mood that this game had, the art style and color choice were nice together. well done!

WOW. This entry is C R A Z Y !! Great in every aspect is one of the best seen in this LD38 Its semplicity is the real key of awesomeness! i love the style, music and the lovely rodent <3 great job!
Not sure there's much that hasn't been said, but this is pretty amazing. The game's fun enough to keep playing for a bit, the difficulty ramps up as you keep playing, it looks nice, the music is enjoyable (I really like that it changes during munch mode!) the controls are solid, you get a good indication when munch mode is ending so you don't just get knocked out when it changes, and the world evolves as time goes on. I really enjoyed this one!
I got to 107k after 1:36. Thanks for a fun little break
I freakin love that bunny character design!!! Very cool 80s vibe, and I felt a Pac-man like game play which probably got me more excited than it should have when I got my first carrot lol. Great job guys
This is a very fun quick little arcade-y sort of game. I really liked the mechanical effects of the world getting smaller over time, it both makes the game easier (because it's easier to find and reach leaks) and harder (because the obstacles get more cramped). The carrot power up adding some nice touch of extra complexity, too. All in all, a good entry!
If I were going to expand it, I'd add probably add levels, and introduce new mechanics like enemies or new powerups on later levels (the levels mainly serve to give you a better option than 'start over from the beginning' when you die).

I love the music and how it changed after picking up the carrot. Also the concept that the world is getting smaller is very cool and keeps the player challenging. At the beginning it was not right clear what the green thing is supposed to be and I tried to avoid it on my first runs. I don't like it that the camera is too much attached to the player. But all in all it is an awesome game and I had a lot of fun playing it! :)

Oh, a rock. I'll just let go of the W key and.,. Oh crap it moves on it's own. Ok. I got this now. Oh crap the world is shrinking!
Very cool! Nice graphics, nice music, and it's a lot of fun!
Really digging the music and I love the aesthetic. Controls are a little squirrely not sure if that was intentional.
UUUH! Such Cute! Love this

2017-05-06 08:47
Amusing little game, for sure!
I'm very grateful to the blinking effect when the munch mode is about to run out, because I kept thinking the first time around "what if it runs out right before I hit a rock"? It's small quality of life details like these that really sets apart the polished games from the unpolished ones.
The graphics, audio and controls were all well done and fit together to make a coherent and cute aesthetic. I can't really find anything to critique about them, especially not considering you've all done this within 72 hours. Solid entry for sure, well done!

Really fun game and gorgeous art style. I really like the 80´s purple wireframe style. ;) I also enjoyed the pac-man mechanics.
Could you give it a try to our game?? [Link](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/surviball)
+100 to the music xDD Love soundtrack and how it is changing between different states. Mechanic simple but very addictive. First time I was confused with the green item (I thought it was dangerous). Overall is a great entry for this ludum, very very great work!

Really cute game. Loved the art style ;)
I loved this game!! Everithing is done very well, mechanic is interesting and addictiong, and sounds and graphics fit perfectly with the theme
As I read through the comments, there seems to be some issues regarding controls (eg. not responsive or feels weird). If you are experiencing this issue with the WebGL version on Microsoft Edge (default browser for Windows 10), try the Windows build instead, or run the WebGL build using Google Chrome. We tested this earlier with Microsoft Edge and there seems to be issues on how Unity WebGL handles input on Microsoft Edge causing weird input lag and behavior.
Otherwise, the correct input behavior should be that when you hold down the left or right button, the character will gradually turn towards the appropriate direction, and will stop turning once the key is lifted. It should be smooth with no notable delay.

First time I gave someone full 5 stars. The game is incredible. I mean, for today's standards it may be boring for someone, but it has that cool retro 80's vibe, that old acrade high-score-based games used to have. For me, best entry so far.
An endless runner on a small planet, very rad idea!
The simple mechanics are almost instantly understood, but the first time I played I didn't really get that the leaks were making the planet smaller (but I got them anyway lol), I guess it's not really noticeable because you usually die with a rock first.
The lowpoly 3d graphics are superb and the music is lively and fits perfectly, an awesome entry overall!

Nice polished game! Simple, but fast and fun! Like the intro!
96307! Loved the feel of this, nice and simple, clean and enjoyable! The carrots seemed like a mixed blessing, and it felt easier to find the leaks when the world got smaller, even though my anxiety was going up. Very nice play.
Really fun, addictive game. Music was well suited to the game and I liked the style. A well polished entry.
133923 in 01:43 ! Super great game, very addictive, we loved the gameplay, which is pretty well finished and nicely underlined by the art choices and animations. The whole thing looks completely polished, it a a damn good job for a jam. Congratulations !

Oh ^^ Gameplay is basic but it's really fun and addictive ! I enjoy it, great job for your very polish game !
Fun little game. I enjoyed it! :)
Its a fun game. The controls are simple and easy to understand. i dont know if are the lines in the planet, or the camera, but its a little bit dizzy. I enjoyed playing this game and i love the little rabit ^^
Very awesome! The only problem I encountered was running into a rock the moment carrot mode ended. Maybe a heads up system of some sort?
@huminaboz This has already been implemented in the version we posted above ever since we submitted the game. When the rock starts flashing in color, it indicates that munch mode is about to end. This is exactly like what pac-man used to indicate that its power up is about to end.

Nice and easy to hop in, and the theme is very interesting!
The game get a little boring after a while though. It was *very* good for the first 5 minutes but it lack a persistent charm that can hold me for long.
Rabbit endless runner! Here’s the quick rundown of my thoughts:
PROS - Adorable animation on the bunny - Smooth and simple gameplay
CONS - not much, game fulfilled its goals in my opinion~

@inventroom Thank you so much for reviewing our game! Yes the world does indeed deflate/shrink, although it shrinks at a rate that is not noticeable immediately. The rate of shrinking is dependent on the number of leaks present on the world meaning that no leaks = no shrinking happening. One experiment you can try is to not plug any leaks and the world should shrink considerably fast!
I like WebGL versions. Your art and sounds are cute, gameplay is simple and interesting, funny game. Good job!
I really liked how the music changes in munch mode, it really puts you in the mood. The graphics style is really nice too. At first, I found it weird, and kinda nausiating from the limited view, but after playing a couple times, I started liking it. It started becoming very addicting.
Congrats! This is a very addicting game. The only thing you could probably improve is to maybe make the camera slowly move toward the player, instead of always being exactly over. I think that would make it a little less nauseating.
I really enjoyed this circular-endless runner. Clever use of the theme.
- Graphics are simple but sharp. - Gameplay is fun and the difficulty increases are well measured over time. - Great music.
Very polished game. The blinking indicating that the munch mode was almost over was a very pleasing mechanic in my experience whereas many games shift without a warning and that becomes the reason for a death. I can see this game going viral in the playstore if you ever get to make a android build.
Here's my petty highscore. Yay.png
Great entry ! The game got my a bit dizzy after sometime, but that's on my end I guess. I think to improve it you could implement a simple UI to show the amount of time on the Munch mode.
Overall nice art, particles and music!
Really fun game. I liked the presentation a lot, including the graphics and audio. The gameplay was simple, but challenging enough to be very engaging. Great entry.

Brilliant entry! The idea was simple, but execution was superb. The amount of content felt perfect to me (Adding even more content sounds like a good idea in theory, but it might tip the balance of all the current elements off, so I'm going to go with the "less is more" approach here), controls were responsive, and graphics and music were great. The only thing I'd add is, maybe, some high score tracking or leaderboards to keep players even more engaged. Even if they're not really necessary (I was hooked even without them anyway, just trying to improve at my latest result), would be the icing on the cake for an otherwise finished game.
Congratulations, you've nailed one of the best games I've played so far on this edition

Kinda perfect arcade- more features would make this an addictive mobile game for sure. Fantastic art, sound, and solid controls. Congrats! Screen Shot 2017-05-17 at 10.04.54 PM.png Best I could do! EDIT: Screen Shot 2017-05-17 at 10.20.03 PM.png
Pretty addictive and fun game :), can get a bit tiresome after a while but it's quite polished for the limited time to make it. Great job!
Great to hear that you're pursuing this game further:) the graphics and audio are fantastic, it's a lot of fun, and the controls are simple but work very effectively (and perfect for the mobile space which I hear you're pursuing?)
Great job
Feel free to check out my game too if you have time :)
Awesome! My score was a whooping 101827! Not really that high of a highscore, but it was pretty fun to achieve it.
This is a simple concept with very clear and straighforward dynamics, even with no instructions it would only take 2 or 3 playthroughs to nail down the rules of the game. Graphics are completely awesome, the style and animations work incredibly well together.
The music was great and added a lot to the feel of the game.
The only thing I would address at this moment would be the camera, maybe soften the movement a little to have a smoother tracking of the player, so as to make it feel more organic and less robotic-like.
Obviously some extra elements would add immensely to the game, it works fantastically as it is now, but some variety would become welcome later on.
All in all, a great entry. I enjoyed it a lot!

A good idea, simple and straightforward, akin to pacman ;) Well polished, I like it as a whole, and I had fun, definitely something I'll play more in the future.
What I would work on in the future (since you're planning to go mobile with it):
Mechanics: - I actually hoped the whole game would be in the perspective you see on start screen... In the perspective you chose for stage, you don't see the rabbit's front, and it's plain white back doesn't really make the same impression :) have you considered using other perspective?
- movement: it would be (for me) more fun if objects were moving (at least slowly), but the player's turns were a bit tighter
- munch mode meter on UI. Most of my deaths were because I wanted to push it to the max, and died because munch mode ended a split second before I hit the last ...mine? What even are those? :)
- Better visual feedback for leaks, like slight wave through whole planet
Visually: - Rabbit animation, to make it more rabbit'y and less like a slime ;) - neon glow! How can you have retro neon colours and retro wave music without neon glow? :) And it would help with leaks feedback.
It's a solid job overall, and you've made a very fun game so far, but those aspects could realy help it further in my opinion.

Aw I love the rabbit !!! So cute !! And the game it really fun ! Great job !
This is truly excellent. I must admit that the music helps (I'm a big fan of that retro sound like Gunship).
The game is fun and challenging and it looks beautiful. I love the idea that the world is deflating - genius! When I first unlocked MUNCH MODE it brought a big smile to my face - proper 'Pac Man' vibes! I am not sure there is anything I can say that hasn't already been said!?!?
Amazing work!
Here's my high score:

This is so much fun! I love the gameplay, reminded me of the bonus levels in Sonic 3, maybe the difficulty escalates a little too slowly but i had a great time with it. Gorgeous aesthetic and fantastic music. Brilliant work!
Cool. It was a nice experience. Felt really fluid. Then I came here to make this comment. Then I read other comments and then I realized that the world deflates. Now I have to play again.
(playing...)
Nice. But I die before it deflates a lot. I'm not good at these kind of games (My record is 01:21).
Btw. it would be better to use [ICO Sphere instead of UV sphere](http://blenderbasics.com/images/2015/04/9781119039532_fg1608.png), but if you've generated the mesh programatically, then it's definitely easier to make UV spheres.
Either way, nice game.

I just watched the game on the TechValleyGameSpace stream and had to play it.
I don't really have to say much: It's nearly perfect! The music and animation are especially lovely. The way you integrate the guitar riffs into the munch mode was perfect. Maybe the transitions could have been a tiny bit smoother, but that's not a real concern.
For my personal tastes, I think the difficulty ramp up could be a smidge steeper to increase the "just one more round" feeling, but that may just be my preference.
Played to 127.309 points. Will likely return. Great job!
