Well, this is awesome. Great game, all around.

Well, this is awesome. Great game, all around.
I had a lot of fun playing the game and keeping up with the action. The music works well. The art is really nice and I like the overall style of the game. Sound effects would add a lot!
Ah!!!!!!!!!!! You're my hero.
Love the drawn art style, and the music was experimental and pretty non-conforming (which I love!!!). Really dig the overall style. I'd love to play it further and see how the spaceship starts to look as you inhabit it. I did think that the typing style dialogue delivery was a bit cumbersome to read, but that's a very small note.
Very cool! Nice graphics, nice music, and it's a lot of fun!
Nice! Early levels could be made more interesting if there is something for the lead ant to do after creating a path to food. I felt like there was a lot of waiting around.
Very nice! Love the music and art. Smashing is perfect.
I really dig this game. The use of the theme here is integral to the story, which I appreciate. Music and sound was nice. I think it's a bit difficult to understand which character can interact with which tool, etc. I think that's maybe part of the fun, but at times I though it could be more intuitive. Nice game!!! Love the graphics.

I think the use of the theme was pretty unique. Sound and music could diversify a bit. I know this is way extreme, but it would be cool if each "feature" had a certain sound to it so that when you hover over the "soon to be friend" you hear the sound of them which would be made up of all of their features respective sounds. It would add a whole layer of satisfaction, I think. Anyway, cool game! Very unique.
Love it! Great sound, graphics, gameplay. Everything. I had a blast playing it as well!
Check out our game if you get the chance! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/down-the-rabbit-hole
The game could use increased difficulty but that's my only complaint. Maybe give each creature type certain behaviors, like certain kind attack first? The music and graphics and world mechanics were great. Nice job!
Very fun take on the theme.
Very nice. I like that the gameplay mechanic led to a bigger story like Portal. Using the narrative writing to make it so that a failure only led to that test subject dying and allowing you to retry as the next test subject was great. And made escaping at the end that much more satisfying. Very nice!!
I like that you made the step sfx the beat of the music. At first it threw me off because it wasn't lining up with the actual motion of the character, but when I realized that it was synced to the music, I appreciated it. That type of experimentation is fun, and honestly the best thing to do when making a jam game.
Thanks for the game!
Fun take on the theme and good execution.
@redhermit If you put the piece back over a red spot on the power grid, it doesn't power the piece. I think really what is happening is that the game is easy enough that you don't have to power many of your ship systems to win. I played the game without changing up the pieces as they were knocked off and I won. I think the difficulty just needs to be ramped up a bit. Thanks for playing!!
Yes. Very good. I like it, a lot.
Nice, love the idea to add bumps to jump over obstacles and onto different sections of level. Keep up the good work!
I love these entries that uses the theme to combine one game mechanic that helps you reach the win screen, to another game mechanic that helps you reach the lose screen. All in one action. Your game does that the best out of many that I've played so far! Nice job!
I must place them as trophies... Shit, why did I put all of these pig gut trophies everywhere... I can't walk!! :pig: nice entry.
The idea is a pretty fun spin on the theme. It was really hard, though. :P
Made me smile the whole time. Also the game is just fun!!! The obvious strength is the humor in the sound and music. Dig the Salad Fingers reference.
Audio was hilarious. I imagine that you all were working on the game and the sound person came in and was like, "we need to record the death sounds... quick everyone make death sounds." The music was fun and worked perfectly with the humor of the game. Obligatory, "the blurry text hurt my head head" comment. Great jam!! <3
I like the visuals. I felt like I could just spam attacks and defense and get through waves fairly easily. Otherwise, nice jam!
5 stars all around. This was incredible. There was a moment where I started getting juggled by the bullies, and I just watched my life tick away while I'm just trying to get groceries for this person. I saw the desperation in the little character's eye as it hit them... "I spent 8 years of my life getting knocked around while running other people's errands..." Genius use of the theme and a brilliant jam. My favorite by far. For what it's worth... I used the amount of free time that earned by playing video games... Hahaha. Too real.
I loved the atmosphere. Some soft Aleatoric music could sell the overall mood a bit more, but I definitely enjoyed the weird sound of the button press, mixed with the bizarre trading of body parts for nostalgic messages. Where are they body parts going? Who's sending us these personal memories? Are they ours? Definitely enjoyed this game! Great art style. Reminds me of Gary Panter's Cola Madness.
Beautiful and touching use of the theme.
Top notch on everything!! <3
Loved this one. Very fun, and making it harder to get to recipe's kinda upped the difficulty, which I think is okay. Music and sound would be great, but overall it's a strong jam.
Great job! I'm not huge on stock trading games, but I love how it utilized the theme! The sound design was a nice touch when traveling to work, and you have a nice ambient music track to vibe to while trading.
Great atmosphere in the writing. Would love to have sound environments and sfx. Also, reprinting your new options after making a choice would be great, as others have said.
I really like that this game was actually difficult for me because I quickly decided that I was only going to sacrifice men with no children. I love how the game is pretty simple if you negate human morals. Congratulations. I'm super impressed with this one. The audio was great too and I agree with @zarkonnen. That animation had me laughing out loud.
Loved the graphic design of the game and the gameplay is a good idea but maybe a bit too easy. Even without powerups, there were plenty of spaces between cars for it to not be all that difficult. Either way, I really dig this entry!! Nice job.
Cool game! Polished feel and the audio/music is really nice!
It feels weird... I kinda wish you would have made the atmosphere of the game feel darker to match the subject matter, or over the top cutesy... you know, to match the subject matter. System was designed well, though! Good job.
I like your interpretation of the theme. Your health is driving you to collect currency. A real Breaking Bad interpretation. Very nice. Great jam!! <3
This was a pleasant surprise!! I like how the tone remained a bit quirky and light until the first time you get one wrong and it actually managed to be quite unsettling. It's difficult to pull of that type of tone shift ala Twin Peaks, but I think you managed it! Fun music. Great jam! I like that you managed to do compelling story/game loop and thought about every aspect that adds up to a full game experience. A lot of people won't balance them all in a jam so congrats on that.
Great combo of art and music.
Nice! For a jam game it has quite a bit of tutorial. I wonder if those tutorials could have been left as regular levels that slowly introduced new tools to get the jobs done. Good, thorough work though!!
Nice art and polished gameplay! I love the camera zooming. Some Atari-like music would have brought it all together. Nice work.
@zebrainflames ooo that trail is pretty too. Seriously love the art.
It reminds me of my childhood playing The Incredible Machine. Fun music and sound. I was playing with a laptop trackpad instead of mouse so spinning pieces was next to impossible. It would have been nice to have a keyboard option to spinning the pieces before placing them. Nice to see audio and language settings! Good work!
The audio and art work super nice together. Some music would have really sold the whole thing. Interesting game mechanic. I mostly just stayed in the center and tried to get a few ships with one rocket. I get why moving while your missile is traveling would have been more difficult to implement but that would have been fun!! Especially since then you could try to get even more ships while you the missile tries to correct its path to get back to you. Good job!
I think that the vibe of this game carried me quite a ways. Even when I couldn't quite figure out how the orbit was effected by the planet positions, I still felt interested in poking around. Nice music, sound, and art. Great vibes.
@stracker Thanks for playing!! Did you ever bark with "E" or "Spacebar"? If you do it close to people, they run and scatter. That's a good way to get them away from an obstacle and grab them. :D

@elysiagriffin Thanks for playing!!
Easily my favorite submission I've played so far on this LD. The music, photography, generated people, and ai voices came together so well. Putting the player in a mood and then asking them to participate is also a really nice touch. Great work! Keep doing you. Also, who did the music? I loved it.
Reminded me of old newgrounds games with the edgy drug use and running from the cops. Not sure I love the concept, but I absolutely dig the music and art style. The mood was definitely HIGH with this one.
Adding StarFox like characters and dialogue definitely gave this game a leg up from some of the similar space games I've seen on this jam. I liked orbiting to save fuel. Didn't get very far!!
Orbit physics are a super nice touch. I found it to be challenging enough to keep replaying to try to beat it. Nice job!!
Cuuute. Love the weird spider pumpkin thing. Fun music and Halloween vibe.
Really good. The only gameplay criticism I have is that the segments where you have to reenter the circle multiple times to move forward was way more tedious than fun and felt like it slowed down my interest in continuing to play. I think it was much stronger when it was combinations of jumps and obstacles rather than repeat entry bits. The game is so well polished that it also makes me wish the music/sound was just as polished. The Tibetan Singing Bowl would have been stronger if each circle had its own frequency so that the sound was a bit more adaptive to play. That being said, the game is already super well polished and the audio that is there does enough to not detract from the game. Awesome job!!!
Super polished visual aesthetic. I would have loved to hear the same polish in the audio to really sell it all. Some light electrical purring when moving, maybe tweaking the jump sound to have a bit more reverb, and adding light atmospheric music would have done a lot! That being said, this was a super great effort even if it wasn't your first attempt at a project of this scope. Keep doing your thing!!
Nice game! The art and sound work really well together except for the green collectable sfx. It being dry took it out of the reverb space that was consistent in the rest of the sfx and music. Otherwise I thought it all worked really well.
Wow. Very good game. Everything about it was super well done.
Definitely the funniest use of the theme that I've seen so far. I love the road signs, too. Great job!
Very nice! Perfectly executed in every way!
Wow! Great game. Awesome visuals. I'd love to hear some music change when interacting with the gun, both loading and firing. But obviously it's a jam! The gameplay is addicting and the art is super well done! <3
I really enjoyed this. Sufficiently creeped me out with the sound, music, and that super freaky librarian. I like the world that you created. Very original but also felt like it could be related to the Hellraiser world. :P Very nice game!
Very nice! Love the style of everything and it's fun!
The sound and music was very simple but effective which is great! Fun game.
@MarkoPoloDev I tried to break up the form of the music so that the loop didn't get annoying. I am so excited to see your comment about that! I didn't have time to make more than 3 minutes of music, so I had to try to get that right. Thanks for including that bit. Made my day!
I really liked this! I think they rhythm part of the game would be better if the example was followed by a few beats and then the "test" part comes in, in time. Right now, a beat is established and then when the "test" section comes in, it restarts the rhythm. Either way, that's a pretty small issue for a jam game! Nice Job!
Incredible! Keep it up!
I think this was really well done! The visual style worked well, and I love how your use of the theme really brought out the humor of a stealth based game when you consider the hunger and bladder control of a sleuth. :spy: :P
It was a little bit confusing to figure out how to connect the wires at first, but once I got going it was fun and stressful! :P nice!
Very nice job on the atmosphere, graphics, and music!!
Nice! I would have loved to hear a chiptune version of The Entertainer but you can't ask for everything out of a jam! :P
I think figuring out how to control the zombie and that awkwardness is most of the fun. Nice job.
Definitely one of the most cohesive games I've played on this jam so far! Very nice! try ours!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mulligun
