Nice Comments Bro : izi Repeat
I like the visuals. I felt like I could just spam attacks and defense and get through waves fairly easily. Otherwise, nice jam!
Took some time for me to understand exactly what was happening. I liked the mood and the overall design-choices, but the music got a little repetetive, but that is off course to be expected from a Ludum Dare game :)
Interesting concept and nice graphics! :)
@kurt-roembke Thank's ! but try to spam attacks, enemies are randomly generated and are more difficult! only the merchant can give you cards to get to hell haha!
Cool concept, but it could use a bit more explanation of the mechanics in game. It was a bit hard to tell what was going on at times, and I had no idea how much health the enemy had left so it was a bit of a surprise whenever it died and the screen faded out. I thought that meant that I died.
This needs some indicators for status effects. I have trouble telling what my opponent is doing. The background didn't load for me (on Firefox).
An unique concept, loved the music and creature soundeffects. Maybe include a tutorial or a page to explain the gameplay.
@bar Sorry to hear that, we thought it was clear but we'll try to do better next time. Did you try to clear the cache ? What kind of resolution are you using ?
@matthew-mcclure Sorry for that, we were wrong on thinking game mechanics would be easy to understand =\ Thank you for your comment, we will rememember it for the next jam :)
@ronahattingh Thank you so much for your support ! Indeed, we forgot to make a tutorial, sorry for that, the next time it will be present :)
@dev-for-pizza My resolution is 1920x1080. I had it load in a private browser window so there wasn't anything cached. I just checked again and on the title screen (where I have to click "start game"), the background shows but after the game starts, the background is all black.
cool game would be nice to see the enemy'S life though... also it seems a bit easy, as i can select almost all the cards but one mostly! but still cool game, just needs a bit balancing
Good job with the graphics and the sounds! It helps a lot with the immersion. It would be great to see the enemy's health.
@bar We will do some tests in order to see what happened. Thank you for your comments, it will hep us to make a better game :)
@drvernichter Yeah we wanted to add enemy's life but this wasn't our priority and we forgot to put in into the game :(
For the balance of the game, i must admit that it was my job and that i could not do a lot of tests, but I have noted, thank you!
@oune Thank you so much for you support ! We have noted that an enemy's life bar would be great, but we hadn't the time for put in into our game =\
Like said before some indicators and tutorial on what things do would help a lot non the less i did like to play it. However i had a bug where the text of a card did not disappear so i could not read everything anymore so sometimes i was playing a card blind. But cool idea
I had fun playing your game! It was oddly satisfying clicking the cards. Although there didn't seem to be much strategy in doing so. I just clicked as much as a could.
I did find a bug in the shop where I clicked a card and the next round it became a green X and gave me -95 attack, which I thought was funny.
Good work!
I have huge Slay the Spire vibes here. I like where this is going. To add more strategy, see if you can add ways so you know what the enemies next move is so choosing cards has more of a choice.
The biggest choice I had was how to get up to five actions. Other than that, the game ended up crashing on the second to last level, but regardless I had a good time!
Nice job!
Nice concept! It felt like there was not a lot of strategy in what cards you choose though because you don't know enemy health or actions. It also felt like enemies have a really large amount of health.
The gameplay was fun, although it did start to become repetitive after a few minutes. Also, I never found the merchant. Is it randomized, or is there something I missed? Overall, though, it wasn't too bad!
Funny game, nicly art and music. Dont get the point with the negative cards thoght. And at the shop you can buy everything without loosing much life at all. If the "End Turn" Tile is pressed to fast you get a copy of the character
Althogh very nice
I had no idea the health of the enemies. I got the bug mentioned above where you get a copy of the character and at that point it seemed like the enemy was not going to die or as stated earlier I did not know what their health was. I also got visual bugs where words overlapped, so I had little idea what cards did. I enjoyed the artwork and the visual cues, but maybe make it even more obvious. If you don't want to use health, have an enemy lose a limb when low on health or the screen shakes or changes color. Something to indicate to the player that they are close to killing them.
