LD36 — Ancient Technology

Telegrapher by jackyjjc 2016-08-30T12:32:00

Pretty art, nice tactile sound when pressing space, it feels as if you are actually using a real telegrapher. And the little sound on/off button is nicely integrated into the telegrapher and doesn't ruin the atmosphere, really neat :)

WindPowered! by Guennor 2016-08-30T02:32:00

Really cool game! Well executed game idea, love that the sprites look hand drawn! Swiping makes you feel like a God and I like that :D

Circuitry by btwj_ 2016-08-30T12:40:00

Always wanted to learn about circuitry, so it's nice to see a game that makes it more enjoyable to learn. The game is quite hard when you don't know a lot about circuitry, but thats okay, most of this stuff can be googled if it becomes too hard :)

LD37 — One room

The File Approach by c4m 2016-12-13T02:10:00

oh noes i was just getting started, watched the intro and i really enjoyed it. After that i was stuck, couldnt go anywhere, couldnt click on anything :(

Journey to Mars by brainchewer 2016-12-17T16:34:00

Nice idea with a role-playing-experience, but the UI and instructions made it hard to grasp at first. Good humor :)

The Room of Fading Alphas by Schrunkin 2016-12-13T12:50:00

Simply pressing any of the arrow keys will start the game. But I will add pressing the space bar shortly!

ROOM ZERO by dv49 2016-12-13T14:05:00

Really hard and entertaining game! When you run out of ammo you and the ammo portal is right next to the enemy portal all while the room is scaling and rotating you just know you are screwed! Love it :) Played the web version. Missed music and sound effects, maybe they arent available in the web version?

Life.exe by wujood 2016-12-13T02:03:00

Got stuck at "insert", but really cool! I like the idea of exploring a room to find out who you are. Liked how you guided the player to the bookshelf in the beginning. One negative thing: the looping music is really short. You can hear it very clearly as it loops and it quickly becomes monotenous. Will try later to see if i can get past the message that says insert :)

Javascript Battle Bots by asemahle 2016-12-13T11:07:00

I have been trying to understand the UI for ten minutes and I am afraid I will have to give up. I truly liked the concept and your idea of having modules and savable bots, but I could simply not make my JS code do what i wanted :( I will check back later to see if you have added some more tutorial :)

Endless Bouncy Block by annnoo 2016-12-17T17:01:00

For a two-hour-build this is quite good! I enjoyed trying to get a high score a lot, but the mechanic did not make it easy :)

GlitchGarden by PaulohFerreira 2016-12-17T17:07:00

The exploration-thing was maybe a tad too hard - I ended up opening your JS code to find the different inputs. (Nice with that many comment btw :) )

Snakes and Letters by Dining Philosopher 2016-12-17T16:53:00

Nice idea with a 1.5 person game! We enjoyed playing with such an innovative mechanic, but the controls seemed a little off which made it quite hard at times. Otherwise fun!

Room 207 by jackyjjc 2016-12-14T16:30:00

Hey there! Loved the game you made for the previous jam, so had to come check if you made something this time aswell! I think you made a very good game this year aswell! Enjoyed playing the levels through, I wish there were more! I really felt stressed by the ticking clock and all the things i had to do. I missed some sound effects and some music that maybe increases in intensity as time passes?

Moon Maze by guoboism 2016-12-13T10:45:00

Definetly one of the most polished games I have seen. The art style and sound design is well-crafted and the mechanic is fun. It is not too hard and the main mechanic is maybe not the most innovative, but i enjoyed playing! I like the way your view being blocked works :)

The little big room by jackolondon 2016-12-13T10:30:00

WASD-controls bugged for me too, but the color-mechanic was definetly enjoyable. The fact that you had to reset the bomb helped keep you on edge, making the puzzles more interesting - a good design choice!

Local Exhibition by kiv 2016-12-13T10:59:00

The artsyle and the humor was a perfect fit for each other! Would definetly have wanted some sound effects or music and maybe some more "gameplay". I laughed at the small poster/round poster jokes!

StompKid's Nightmare Land by ChrisAntem 2016-12-17T16:29:00

Pretty simple but quite hard game. Liked the art-style!

Moving Time by christiano 2016-12-13T01:46:00

Hmm strange i cant run the game from my browser ( i am using chrome ). I see that there is a canvas element on the page when i inspect, but nothing displays on my screen :(

Fish.zip by buckle2000 2016-12-13T10:33:00

Could not run the game even though i unzipped it twice and made sure I had LÖVE installed correctly :(

LD44 — Your life is currency

dRUNKEN nEIGHBOR by HugoVaz 2019-04-30T17:22:58Z

I just played until my second game over. Congratulations for making a text-based game that can keep peoples attention! I enjoyed the overall story end I really dig the humor! Sometimes it feels like I was moving around in a slightly random fashion, but mostly the 'puzzles' were well-written. I do not see the theme so clearly, but i can only recommend this submission!

Highway To Hell by Dev_For_Pizza 2019-04-30T16:51:26Z

Took some time for me to understand exactly what was happening. I liked the mood and the overall design-choices, but the music got a little repetetive, but that is off course to be expected from a Ludum Dare game :)

Slime, Blood and Pain by Steffo 2019-04-30T18:06:34Z

This is a funny game with a surprisingly wonderful soundtrack. As others has said, the music does not loop properly, but i literally lol'ed when it came on - it just fit at lighthearted doungeoncrawler so well. I enjoyed it, and the interplay between the monsters made me keep playing, going multiple levels down!

A Life At Stake by JustMars 2019-04-30T19:53:20Z

I had to spend a couple of tries before i figured what i had to do to optimize my life: Such a fun idea! I loved the character creation and the voice acting was a wonderful touch! The graphics were well made and the game was intuitive for the most part. Well done!

Deathless World by Adrien Dittrick 2019-05-01T16:11:41Z

I agree completely with the others. The music and the humor was well thought out, but the gameplay could have used a little more development. I must give you so much credit for making a fun, innovative multiplayer game in a game jam! Well done!

Clock of Your Life by JestemStefan 2019-05-02T20:01:48Z

what a great idea! as others have said it really makes me think how i use my time. I managed to stay alive for 48 hours. I feel so good at real life all of a sudden! It was incredibly hard to choose what to prioritise and i think that sums up life really well.

When the text above the heart displayed 'hunger' i expected that it would get it filled up by eating burgers and soda but the reverse happened. Maybe it would have been nice to have a separate health and hunger bar? But i guess that just makes everything more difficult to balance. I really like that the different options are introduced only a few at a time so i get to learn what my options actually are. When one of the bars runs out and i die, i think the transition to the score board happened rather abruptly. Maybe you could use a little tween to make it more smooth? And then just some small things: The music is the same in the menu and the game itself. While there is nothing wrong with that, i think it makes the game less smooth that it is replayed from the start once i start the game. Also i think it was a bit unintuitive that i had to click each activity in the scoreboard in order to see the next. Also I think it would have been nice to see the total hours i managed to survive :) Again, i really enjoyed the game, very nice take on the theme! Congratulations! :))

Project Slorgan: The Escape by CodeKoto 2019-05-01T15:57:54Z

This game is super fun. The controls are not the most intuitive, but this seems like a game mechanic in itself! I liked the overall mood which the music and the post-processing effects really helped. It is super hard when you first start out, and there is never a moment when you don't feel stressed. That is an accomplishment - well done!

King's Alchemist by Vlad Dae 2019-05-02T18:47:25Z

Well made! the game was perfectly balanced and very well-crafted in its visuals. I enjoyed the simplicity. The theme was not exactly apparent, but I think this is a solid entry from you guys!

Robots' life is Currency by gecco.xyz 2019-05-02T19:31:42Z

very cool game, i really like it when i get the opportunity to not follow what the game is telling me to do. This time around i should probably just have kept moving boxes ;) I found it was a bit difficult to get the boxes to snap to the conveyer belt. Also i found it a bit weird that left and right directions are swapped when moving backwards. As others have mentioned, the game is quite short. It was quite unexpected that i was just all of a sudden sent to the furnace. I think the effect would have been more impactful if i got the chance to build up a relationship with the robot and then to have him killed mercilessly. That being said - congratulations on finishing a game :) i really liked the graphics too!

Robo Quest by Taximan981 2019-05-01T08:33:50Z

A good idea, but this is super hard. I played a lot of rounds but I never got as far as I wanted. That is of course a compliment to your game design, as I kept on playing! I liked the music - it really fit the theme!

Where goes your life by Tom R 2019-04-30T17:15:39Z

Maybe not the most original of games, the theme is also not super clear, but the controls are super tight! The game is so well-made, that I kept wanting to retry every time I died which is a huge accomplishment!

Fair n Square by DaniDev 2019-05-02T13:26:24Z

So much fun! Incredibly polished both game-play and game-juice wise. It was clear how the theme played and it made so much sense to make the trade off at the start of the game. An accomplishment!

Terrorist win ? by Logun 2019-04-30T19:38:02Z

Yeah, i also cannot play your game. I hope you upload a new version when you wake up so we can all try the fruit of your labor!

Bank 666 by TheMagesMango 2019-04-30T17:11:11Z

Neither the browser version nor the .exe works for me, but I will check back later

Blood for Blood by tapehead 2019-04-30T17:07:10Z

Incredibly well made and super polished! Except for a couple of bugs i ran into this is one of the best crafted and genuinely addictive games. The gameplay is deep enough that I could totally see this becoming a game I could play after the jam! (btw the shop button has to be clicked a couple of times before it can be entered)

Ten Minutes to Kill the Wizard by nerdbaron 2019-04-30T19:35:22Z

Honestly a more interesting take on the theme than a lot of the other games. The art-style is interesting, but it is not always easy to see exactly what is happening. I played my "ten minutes" a couple of times, but never got to kill the wizard yet :(

EXCESS by ratz 2019-05-01T15:52:34Z

A well-crafted experience. The controls are responsive and the game has enough juice to be satisfying even though the combat isn't as complex as other shooters. The theme was well used and the music fit it all perfectly. Over all, super well made!
