A strongly addictive game with beautiful pixel art and a colorful palette, I really appreciate all the sprites that @veryeviltomato drew. I lasted 13 waves, how many of them are left, and are enemies generated in random positions of map every round?
I'd suggest animating the health bar as it is inconvenient to make out numbers with such stylized font during battle.

Really enjoyed playing this. It has a nice level of difficulty right off the bat and the game was very intuitive and fun to play. I managed to last more waves, the more i played, as you would expect, i wonder how many waves there are!
Music and sound effects fit well and i found the art style very cool. Extra brownie points for using crosshairs - a lot of games seem to neglect this.
If i felt anything could be improved - probably fonts for readability, incidentally something that was an issue in my own game!
Great entry, well done.
Nice game! The art is amazing! The game is fun and well polished. I lasted 23 waves (the player should evolve more times, it's the best moment in the game).
However, the gameplay is not very innovative, doesn't bring anything new, and for me this is the most important thing in a game jam.
Anyway, great entry!

The game is very fun! Nice job on the art. While playing i felt that the player should evolve more waves. The wave gameplay isn't very innovative but you did innovate with the combo system and mutation system. You also had enough varation in enemy types wich is nice. Also i couldn't see the outline of the mutation meter when its above the background
Anyway this is a great entry and with some minor adjustments this could become a game that i would buy!

The controls are slick and responsive, and coupled with the graphics it all feels very good to play. The gameplay is simple, but it does exactly what it sets out to do and it does it well. There could always be room for more content, but being a game jam product it has plenty all things considered.
The music and sound design is good as well, so the whole package is just consistently well done all over. Feels like a very complete game, rather than a rushed prototype. All in all, a good entry!
2485 points and made in Construct! yay for C2 bros. Amazing game, the juiciness in this is really cool, great gameplay feel. The resolution of the game was so low that sometimes it was hard to see what was happening. Made it to Wave 18 and i think the last upgrade (the big Eye with multiple lazors)
A well known mechanic done right with nice graphics, music and tight controls. Feels good to play! The health bar should be more readable tho and I miss some audio clue when getting hit.
I can only agree to the others around here: Great graphics, nice music and fluent gameplay made this a very fun game to play. Nothing to criticize here!
Thanks so much everyone for the great comments and feedback! It's heartwarming to see people like our game.

A very fun and nuanced take on arena shooters. I loved the idea of a virus fighting medicine in a host and mutating to become more powerful and fight the medicine. The difficulty was just right, the only complaint I have is that absorbing should probably be automatic. It creates situations where you almost have to lose a life to grow stronger. Music and graphics were great, overall a great entry. Nice work!
This game was good! I however did not understand what absorbing enemies to mutate button (space) actually did. I loved the difficulty of this game and the challenge. I think the fonts should be changed for readability, like others said in the comments. I however like that this game doesn't uses a health bar and shows in a ratio how much health you have as it somehow for me makes it more meaningful in knowing how much health I have. The music and sound effects were also spectacular. Great job making this game!

Ha, this one was great :) very much fun.. nice pixel art, fluid motion, controls working smoothly, and a very good Amiga era soundtrack. Yes!! And with a nice cutscene intro too, really polished. Only thing I did not really get was the consumption/mutate mechanics though, but.. Great job, congratulations!
This a super solid entry, very nice! I really like the audio and graphics, very well done. I have few comments on how probably could be extended. Adding some health item wouldbe nice, I'm not sure if I didn't play enough to find it but didn't see anything to help restore the HP. More weapons are more fun, maybe bigger or with more bullets. Finally I didn't find a reason to stop pressing the shooting button, if that's the case, is it really necessary to keep pressing all the time? maybe automatic shooting or I don't know, something that makes gthe player want to take a rest for shooting. Great job!
This was a lot of fun and a solid shooter. I enjoyed the art and the sounds quite a lot, especially the beefy enemies in the later stages. The screen shake when firing was a bit much, but otherwise great game.

I fell so happy when I shoot the monster and especially when I become bigger and more powerful although I know I am a virus lol. Thank you for your wonderful game and hardworking.
