LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres (11)

SURVABY by 0nironauta 2018-04-25T15:06:48Z ♥ 2

Geez, now I know how Clementine felt after The Walking Dead: Season 2.

Traumatic memories aside, this game was really good, though sometimes the baby needs the teddy when they already have it, so I have to take it and give it back to them.

Otherwise, a good concept well executed. Well done!

A Fistful of Shrooms by gdort 2018-04-25T14:57:25Z ♥ 1

Incredible work! The only issue I had was the mushroom's collider, but it wasn't anything game-breaking.

Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough by Lost Dutchman Software 2018-04-25T14:17:28Z ♥ 2

The game was pretty fun. The only thing I can really argue about is the sensitivity.

Jeff From Accounting by Almax 2018-04-25T13:24:27Z ♥ 2

That was an incredible amount of fun! It took a little bit of getting used to with the reload mechanic, but it was a blast. The only issue I ran into was that sometimes the collisions were a bit off and you can't hit an enemy most of the time if it gets too close. But this game was well executed and incredibly fun to play. I'd pay to see a full version released.

I like the art and concept, but I did softlock the game on the second level when I got caught on a bee and kept dying.

Checkmate by aevek 2018-04-25T01:41:22Z ♥ 3

That was incredibly fun. The thought of a survival-based chess game was nothing short but genius. It was especially satisfying when I first leveled up to Rook and bashed through a string of enemies.

The only real criticism I can offer is that the graphics could use a bit of work, but nothing too glaringly bad. Great work!

Death Fog Dash by theArtifacts 2018-04-25T01:28:44Z ♥ 1

Not bad at all! The genre selection was great and the art was decent. The only issue is that the RNG was a bit harsh at times. Otherwise, great work!

Fluff Piece by PUR3 2018-04-24T18:06:01Z ♥ 1

Pretty good, but I feel that an issue that has not been addressed is the lack of audio (unless my speakers aren't working right). If that is the case, I suggest checking out sfxr. I used that for my game and it only takes a couple of minutes to create a wide range of sound effects that would be perfect for this game, considering that it's a retro-styled pixel game.

Eggplant Kindergarten by LiquidBrain 2018-04-24T17:59:48Z ♥ 2

This was an incredible amount of fun. I actually saw the cover image on your blog post while I was developing my game. I knew I had to play the game as soon as I could. I was not disappointed.

Bump Quest 6 by Siactro 2018-04-24T17:26:14Z ♥ 1

The voxel feel is nice, but the controls were hard and the objective was a bit unclear.

Welcome to Snake Academy! by Sintel 2018-04-24T15:19:34Z ♥ 1

This was incredibly fun. Couldn't attract a mate in the end, but I'll definitely give it another go after I rate a few more. Well done!
