No wonder the character is chased by deadly robots, the main character is an ass that shoots people in the face when meeting them :o. Anyway for the time you had a great accomplishment. Although if you had more time you could focus on making the game feel less stacking, with maybe more versitile movement.

@bram-ve haha, thanks. Yeah, I agree. Hopefully will get round to making some updates.

Pretty good, but I feel that an issue that has not been addressed is the lack of audio (unless my speakers aren't working right). If that is the case, I suggest checking out sfxr. I used that for my game and it only takes a couple of minutes to create a wide range of sound effects that would be perfect for this game, considering that it's a retro-styled pixel game.
Loved the amount that was put into the game for the time! Agree with the working on the movement comment earlier, but no this is great!

@NerdyTea yeah, unfortunately I didn't get round to making sound effects. By the time I uploaded it, I had eleven minutes to spare. I already know of sfxr but thanks for the helpful info anyways! :)
I enjoyed playing the game. I hoped I could ride the horse after shooting the knight. I was really missing some sounds/music, that would have made the game so much greater. I was also a bit sad that the game was over so quickly, I really enjoyed playing it. Well done!

The story-line was really great :joy: !! i didn't expect that i will eventually kill every person i meet XD!! i liked it how the player goes from a futuristic city to an old castle area!! it was fun to play but it lacked in audio!! Good Job!!

@AllesKapaul haha the horse idea sounds fun, sadly didn't get enough time to polish it too much. I also agree that it was a bit short and lacks audio (I'll get right on that).
Lovely graphics, a bit sad to see it end so soon! :p

@Bhavin glad you liked it, I tried my best (in my sleep deprived state), to make it humorous! Also, I'm now gonna get round to adding audio.

Hey, I think the foundation you have here is great, for me everything worked well gameplay-wise. It just seems as if you ran short on time and couldn't get more content to the otherwise good game. Anyways, I had fun playing your game, so nice job! :)

@Lazzor yeah, I didn't have much time for getting much content in. There's now been an update, read the changelog in the description. Made another level and updated some other stuff.

Good job! Very well put together. Maybe work on tightening up the game feel.

@ShaunJS Thanks for checking out the game! I saw the video post-stream. I agree with most of the points you made, thanks for the constructive critiques. Contrary to popular belief, I actually skimmed through your cutscene tutorial and got the rough idea. For the most part however, I just looked at the docs and made some scripts for different positions in the timeline. Most of my time was eaten up by this unfortunately. The game definitely needs some more polish but for 48 hours, I'm semi-happy with the outcome. Also saw the link for the compo entry wasn't working, that's now all done!
P.S You're now the second person to suggest ride-able horses, I might just have to see what I can do. Presumably it shouldn't be too hard. Just make a state and change the sprite etc.
Thanks again for the input,
-PURE
That was nice. Really liked how many cutscenes you managed to cram in there ;) The jumping and shooting felt fine to me, I liked that it didn't feel to floaty. As you mentioned it's pretty clear that you ran out of time on it, but while it might be a bit short, it was complete with a beginning and an end :) Good job! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md_wmDhaD_w

@Rs11s21n I had one gritty, gruesome, dark kind of world and another that's more 'fluffy', fantasy like. A bit like the style of Mario or Zelda.

Mood and graphics are the strongest parts of this game, lots of cutscenes and dialogue. It's also refreshing to see a more story focused game as generally they're avoided due to taking far more time to make and usually have very little gameplay.
It controlled very well but the combat was a bit too easy, having the enemies shoot back would certainly up the pace a little more. I couldn't hear any audio but you didn't opt out, was it broken for me or did you not have time?
Short but sweet, good job

That was short, I really wish there was a longer plot to it. The original entry really lacks some music, good to know you've fixed it post-jam. The graphics and cutscenes are great though. I had fun playing your game, and I really like where post-jam versions have taken you.
