LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-07T23:56:24Z

I am a sucker for a connecting game, and have spent so many hours in similar ones - like grindstone, this was great and cute man. The end result is super polished and I love the take on it being physics based and throwing them around the place.

Definitely would love a mobile app of this in the future, the audio was absolutely nailed as well!

Blobby Bridges by Zathnic 2024-10-09T23:55:57Z

Really enjoyed the concept of merging the blobs to create paths! The mechanics are unique, and it really forces you to think outside the box, especially after the first level. I found the difficulty curve to be a nice challenge—definitely had some moments where I had to rethink my strategy. The blobs' awkward shapes add a fun twist, though I agree it can be tricky to control at times. With a few refinements in movement, this could become a really polished and addictive puzzle game. Great job overall!

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-07T23:48:24Z

Was fun watching you build this on stream towards the end - I like the mechanics of this and the different creatures you added - reminds me a bunch of what I Was aiming for with my game.

I did find that the dice numbers would change depending on where you added a second or third dice, not sure if this was intended or not (and if it was could've been explained a tad better) but overall this was great, and amazing.

Skrungle Rescue by dooskington 2024-10-08T00:00:41Z

Interesting take on the game, I get the art stlye you were trying to go for with the pixel filter, but it did make the text quite hard to read.

The little guys jumping was fun.

I feel like the audio was a bit rough - definitely had my dogs ears going crazy, and at times it was hard to break the doors of the cages (if you walk directly into a cage, you can't break the door, have to be a little bit behind).

Other than that man, the game was good! Climbing mecahnics felt nice too!

Colony Clash by stormburpee 2024-10-08T00:21:36Z

Thanks everyone for your great feedback so far! Much appreciate all the lovely comments, thanks guys <3 I've gone through and tried out all your games too, and left some feedback and ratings, you guys have smashed it.

Karma Keepers by Nazariglez 2024-10-08T00:08:43Z

Yeah it got quite messy towards the end, creatures where everywhere.

Took me a little while to understand how to play, but once you do, the game has a fun game loop, and is very engaging. Audio would've been amazing!

Crossfire by Jack D. Taylor 2024-10-10T04:59:56Z

Love the idea! Takes me back to the older .io games, and doing it inside of an ant-colony was a nice touch. You did this great! Would like to see multiplayer in it for sure.

Bento Bugs by superjai 2024-10-08T02:22:28Z

Mate, you guys knocked it out of the park here. Visually this is amazing - very satisfying to slice the bugs, I love the core game loop with being able to level up the different aspects of the features that give you different abilities.

Very relaxing & easy to play - would make for a great mobile game to sit and waste time with. Yuo guys killed it!

Only feedback is - slicing feels unpredictable at times, maybe giving a buffer of where the slice is to make it easier to get used too (can reduce as levels go on)

Lily Adventuresses! Episode 2: Rise of the Arcritters [Prologue] by moonlightbomber 2024-10-10T05:10:08Z

Agree that it's nice to have a jrpg here, and I always enjoy a game that brings back old memories. Cheers!

Dream Quest: Land of the Living Wishes by fusionnist 2024-10-10T11:08:45Z

The art and music in Dream Quest are fantastic, really pulling me into the world. I found the concept of "living wishes" affecting your attributes interesting, and it added a unique layer to the gameplay. That said, some of the rooms were tough, especially the ones with the purple duck-like monsters—they were a real challenge! I liked the idea of dropping wishes to potentially get better ones, but I agree that losing them feels too punishing at times. Overall, a great start, and I’d love to see more depth added to the wish mechanic in future updates. Well done!

Tiny Creature Tower Defense by Kivade 2024-10-08T00:17:53Z

It's been fun to see all the different tower defense games that were made as part of this jam - it did take me a little while to understand how this plays out, but overall it was cute. Good work mate!

Sammich by ColeSlaughter 2024-10-10T08:33:48Z

This game is an absolute joy! The intro is top-tier—seriously, it's like watching a mini-movie. The concept of stacking ants to build a towering sandwich is so unique, and the physics-based gameplay keeps you on your toes. I loved experimenting with different strategies to balance the sandwich while keeping it stable. Amazing work all around, and the polish on this entry is incredible!

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-10T00:11:32Z

The retro Tamagotchi vibes are spot on, and the mix of horror elements added a great twist! The art and sound design were really well done, though I did find the transitions between the minigames a bit jarring. The unsettling atmosphere worked, but I wish there was more clarity about the ending after one pet dies. Overall, a really creative and polished entry!

Tinygotchi Creatures by Vinicius Veronese 2024-10-07T16:43:57Z

This was awesome. Such a vibe - bringing back the tamagotchi vibes. Sends me back to childhood! Love how this fit so well in with the theme mate, graphics are amazing.

Butter Time by TomPendergrass 2024-10-10T08:36:46Z

This game was such a delight! The butter character is absolutely adorable, and I loved the smooth animations, especially when it hugs the wall or does a little celebration at the end of a level. The concept of butter losing life as it moves around is super clever, and the level design felt well-paced. My only suggestion would be to introduce the wall jump a bit earlier, as it adds a fun challenge that could spice up the earlier levels. Overall, a buttery smooth experience with lots of charm!

Flower Friends by Jejkobb 2024-10-08T00:04:38Z

The little dues when they were waddling was very cute.

Seeing the last guy get taken by the bird was hilarious, but very sad.

I feel like if you had some feedback when the wrong flower was dragged onto the creature, it would demonstrate what the user is doing wrong a bit easier (i.e, highlight the leaf red if it had to many/to little). Music was great, and very relaxing.

Antopia: Battle for the Nest by Anaconda Games 2024-10-10T04:52:49Z

The art in this game was great! I love the low poly style, and the grass grabbed me insanely.

The idea was awesome - and executed well. You crushed it!

Colobox by CrishNate 2024-10-09T23:58:57Z

This was fun to toy around with for a little bit - but definitely needs to be expanded on a bit more.

I could see this being really fun in the future!

Blood Crux by Dmitry Kaidash 2024-10-10T00:17:28Z

Really impressive entry with smooth controls and polished animations! The combat felt satisfying, and the bat form mechanic was a great addition. I loved the gravestone leaderboard—it added a nice touch. The game could benefit from a bit more difficulty progression or maybe a boss to break up the action. I was also a little confused by the health potions, but overall, this was a fantastic and fun game with a lot of potential!

Mercenary Exorcist by juju 2024-10-10T00:04:03Z

Haven't played a rail shooter in a while, so was good to experience this again!

Was a good concept, there were a few bugs, but overall I really enjoyed! Good work brother!

Aaaa!! by tolja 2024-10-07T16:41:39Z

It's very cute! Love the pico-8 jams everytime I see one, and you did well here.

Was a bit easy in terms of being able to spam x and hit the red guy before he got to your creatures. Maybe adding a movement penalty when you're walking through your own creatures would've been a good addition? Feels very easy to get to where the red guy is.

Ratcatcher by HardyTryer 2024-10-10T11:13:17Z

I loved the chaos of watching my swarm grow and people explode. It got a bit tiring constantly clicking to spawn more rats, though, and I lost track of my cursor a few times. Overall, a really enjoyable and wild little game!

Whisker Warrior by Taximan981 2024-10-10T11:14:49Z

The visuals in Whisker Warrior are super impressive, and the mouse character is absolutely adorable! I had fun with the combat, though it felt a bit stiff at times, especially with enemy range. I encountered a bug where slugs got stuck mid-air, which made it impossible to clear the wave. Adding more variety in enemy behavior would take this game to the next level!

Leafkin Quest by Ethernal Tech 2024-10-10T05:11:12Z

I love this artstyle so much! The cute little guys bouncing were so cute.

The different abilities were great, you guys killed it!

Please keep developing!

There's no place for us by Dinorex 2024-10-10T00:03:02Z

The concept of the Cat Star Fleet is really charming, and the artwork fits the quirky theme perfectly. I loved the atmosphere and the sense of urgency with the sun expanding. However, the gameplay loop did feel a bit repetitive after a while, as most of the time I was just moving between planets. It would be great to introduce more complexity, perhaps with faster sun expansion or obstacles that force you to adjust your strategy mid-game. I also found the UI a bit cumbersome, with some screens blocking the beautiful art and making it hard to manage resources efficiently. Being able to handle everything from a single screen, or adding more feedback on what the cats are doing, would really help. Overall, it's a fun and cute game with a lot of potential, and I'd love to see it developed further!

Wings of War by Elmos Minion 2024-10-08T00:16:47Z

Hahaha, was very fun to play - definitely gave me a throwback vibe to some early ps1/2 games that I used to play.

You guys did very well!

One of us will make it by Arkatme 2024-10-07T16:53:19Z

Great platformer, for the time constraints. You've done well, very simple, puzzles were fun. Art style is nice mate, good work

Chimeracle Maker! by giraffalope 2024-10-10T11:06:39Z

This game is such a charming little experience! The art style and overall vibe are fantastic, with the cute and quirky creature designs being a highlight. The music and sound effects fit perfectly and really add to the atmosphere. I found myself enjoying the process of assembling chimeras, even when racing against the clock. It does feel like the gameplay could use a bit more variety or maybe even some extra features to keep things fresh for longer sessions. Overall, it's a delightful and polished game that’s super fun to play! Great job!

Molerat Rescue! by ms_malloc 2024-10-10T00:05:45Z

The graphics in this is extremely cute! I do agree that the controls were a little complicated at times, but overall it's a cute little game with a great concept. Keep it up!

Rift Critters by jebkam 2024-10-10T00:09:03Z

The art and overall aesthetic are fantastic, really drew me in! However, I found the dimension-switching mechanic a bit confusing at times, as the keys didn’t always seem responsive. The story is quirky, but it wasn’t very clear through the gameplay itself. With a bit more polish on the mechanics, this could be a really engaging adventure!

Critter Wrangler by LelulaGames 2024-10-10T11:02:53Z

I really enjoyed the calm, chill atmosphere of this game! The mix of 2D and 3D art was really unique, and the cute creatures gave the whole experience a cozy feel. I do agree that some of the critters were a bit tricky to spot, especially since they blended into the background at times. Adding sound cues or having the critters follow you after waking them up could help make things a bit clearer. Overall, it’s a lovely, relaxing experience with a lot of charm. Great job!

Apparatus by evindor 2024-10-10T08:25:58Z

Really unique concept with the machine and creature summoning mechanic! It took me a few tries to understand how everything worked, but once it clicked, the game became really engaging. I did find it a bit overwhelming at first, and a more gradual introduction or tutorial would help players ease into the mechanics. The art and music are both fantastic, adding to the overall experience. However, spawning too many creatures caused some performance issues, so a bit of optimization would improve the flow. Great potential for expansion!

Frecko by cyphix 2024-10-07T17:00:10Z

Hahaha, the cat gave me a bit of a jumpscare randomly, was not expecting it hahaha. But this is great mate! I found it a bit hard to catch the food at times, but other than that it was good. Good work!

Dreadzone by DzejPi 2024-10-07T17:02:44Z

Man this was very addictive to play after a while. I forgive you for the post-compo optimisations, and it provided for a great experience.

Good work brother! This is sick!

BOILERMEN by diabolical-sloth 2024-10-07T23:53:40Z

This was a very beautiful and cute game.

I normally hate spiders - but this was good to play - the art style and the animations of the lil' guys picking up the rocks was amazing. I love this. Got a bit chaotic when there were a bunch of them on, and found it hard to try and manage them picking up the rocks, whilst others were throwing, but that's part of the fun and the challenge.

This was great man! Keep it up!

Wispering Woods by toilari 2024-10-10T05:17:45Z

Wow was all this drawn in the 72 hours? This is jaw-droppingly beautiful.

Keep It Up Kitty by richjbaron 2024-10-07T23:44:04Z

This was really cute! Seeing the cat start to spin really fast was a vibe, and the low-fi music was really good.

this was good man!

tiny villages by OldDog 2024-10-08T00:14:54Z

Yeah got difficult to play on the touchpad, but other than that it was great. The loop felt very balanced and the graphics in the game are awesome too. Good work brother!

Plankton Rush Hour by Void4 2024-10-10T05:17:06Z

I do love the art in this, and as with other people the characters are very charming & the hat is amazing.

Yuo guys have kiled it!

Are you listening? by Sockenpuppe 2024-10-10T00:14:43Z

Beautiful art and sound design that set the perfect mood for such a heavy and emotional story. I really liked the metaphor of clicking away the critters to make difficult choices, but it made some of the decisions feel a bit obvious. It would have been great to see more complexity or ambiguity in the choices. Overall, though, this was a powerful and touching experience. Amazing work!

Papercat Farms by BalimaarTheBassFish 2024-10-10T11:16:14Z

Such a charming and cozy farming game! I loved how the cat character and papercraft world gave everything a laid-back vibe, and the crop-growing mechanics were simple but engaging. The only downside was that planting felt a bit slow, which broke the flow at times. Adding a faster planting method or a 3x3 upgrade would make this even more enjoyable!

Untitled (yes it's the real title) by Paul_viu 2024-10-08T00:25:54Z

Yeah the embedded version on the site isn't wokring for a few games. Itch looked good tho!

(o o) by zimonitrome 2024-10-08T00:10:53Z

This was cool!

I love ascii based games, and was a very interesting take. The smoothness of the movement & the rotation when the character gets hit was very nice.

There's a faint shadow on the legs when moving, not sure if this was intended or not - but it looked like a bug when playing.

Overall, really good mate, good work!

Journey from Critter Grove by galaxybat 2024-10-10T05:02:02Z

man this brought me back to some awesome old school visuals, and I loved playing this. You did really well. Atmosphere in general was amazing and the gameplay was done well! I'd love to see you continue this!!

Observing by look_for_happiness 2024-10-10T05:08:58Z

The idea is great, and you found a great way to merge it with the art style. Good work! Please keep developing this!

ConquerAnts by Pierre-Marie 2024-10-09T23:57:34Z

This game has a really ambitious concept, and I love the blend of colony management with the action-packed segments. The fusion mechanic and the decisions you need to make for the survival of the colony add a unique depth. I did get a little lost a couple of times with some of the mechanics, but once I got the hang of it, it felt really rewarding. The contrast between peaceful colony-building and frantic action is a great touch, though I agree some UI and tutorial improvements would help smooth out the experience. Overall, this is a really promising project, and I’m excited to see how it evolves. Great job!

MiniMayhem by Phyrocast 2024-10-10T00:01:13Z

Hahaha seems like we had a very similar idea in building our games out!

The concept of a deckbuilder auto-battler is really interesting, and I can see the potential here, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. First, while the variety of creatures is fun, it felt like spamming certain units (like the Rush Rams) made it too easy to win, and some units ended up feeling overpowered. I also noticed that some of my units got stuck behind obstacles, which disrupted the flow of gameplay. Adding clearer synergies between creatures or more deck-building restrictions could add a lot more strategy and depth. The idea of manual deployment or adding obstacles sounds great too and would really elevate the challenge. Overall, a solid foundation, but I’d love to see it pushed further with more balance and strategy options in future updates.

davids vs. GOLIATHS by Fernofai 2024-10-10T11:09:43Z

The visuals and models in davids vs. GOLIATHS are super impressive! I really enjoyed the gameplay loop, and it was fun trying to manage the waves of enemies while strategically placing walls to guide them. However, I agree with some of the feedback about UI improvements—showing the costs on the build buttons without needing to hover would be helpful, and being able to place multiple walls at once would streamline things. Also, it would be awesome to have more feedback when taking hits and maybe even some turret upgrades. Overall, I had a great time playing, and I’d love to see where this goes with a bit more polish!

Goodnight Little Thing by MrAntoineSt 2024-10-10T05:08:11Z

Very interesting idea to be playing from the monsters perspective! Jumpscare was fun, and I enjoyed the overall mood of the game. Agree that it wasn't clear to poison multiple times, but was fun!

Catch The Creatures by Dan_Nik_SG 2024-10-10T11:10:41Z

The concept of Courier Cat is super charming! I loved the cute little main character and the relaxing vibe of the game, especially with the background music and visuals. The stealth mechanics add a nice touch, though I found that I didn’t really need to use them since the creatures would sometimes get stuck in corners. Still, it was fun experimenting with sneaking up on them. I think the idea @Lehmy mentioned about creatures going into hiding could be a great way to add a bit more challenge and solve the corner issue. Overall, it’s a cute and enjoyable game, with lots of potential for even more polish! Great work by the team, especially the artist on their first project!

Catch The Creatures by Dan_Nik_SG 2024-10-10T11:17:21Z

The main character is adorable, and the stealth mechanics add a nice layer of fun to the gameplay. However, I found that the creatures often got stuck in corners, which made the stealth aspect feel less essential. The visuals and music are really charming and help create a relaxing atmosphere. It would be great to see future updates address the creature AI to make stealth more impactful!

AHHElevator by AlxJE 2024-10-10T00:12:31Z

Really unique concept with some challenging and innovative controls! The dual-mouse setup is a cool idea, though I found it difficult to manage with just one mouse. The visuals and sound design are both polished and add a lot to the experience. With some tweaks to the controls and a bit more balance, this could be a really fun and engaging game. Great job overall!

ANTventure Time by Dywanix 2024-10-08T00:22:59Z

I agree with the previous comments about adding in some quick tutorial messages, but overall the gameplay loop felt nice, and I always enjoy wasting time in a clicker. Good work brother!

Tiny Trails by Custodi 2024-10-07T23:50:48Z

Very interesting idea! Found it a little infuriating with the timer for the dragging at times, but the core puzzle ideas in this were really good! I definitely think if you had time for the audio it could've taken this to the next level - but overall this was a cute & fun game!

The itch.io page could use a little love, with the resolution of the player settings - was a bit hard to scroll around and see this on a laptop.

Tiny Creatures by Akarinn 2024-10-10T08:29:44Z

Charming tower defense with cute art and sound design! The mix-and-match mechanics of placing creatures on towers to upgrade them is a fun twist, though the first wave comes too fast, making it difficult to start smoothly. The UI is clean, and the tutorial helps, but some aspects, like the upgrade system and creature abilities, could be clearer. I also encountered some bugs, but the dev team is actively fixing them, which is great. Overall, a solid and enjoyable game with lots of potential!

Oh God Please Don't Kill Me Mr. Frog by crushedsummers 2024-10-08T00:20:05Z

The art in this is amazing! You've done so well on this game mate, congrats.

Don't Touch My Sandwich by FrikiLight8 2024-10-08T00:19:30Z

This came out so good! The amount of assets you guys made in the time was great, and I love the general art style you went for - to toon shading/black outline on everything was real good.

You guys knocked it out of the park!

Tripping Hazard by Pigeonescu 2024-10-07T23:32:34Z

I like their language and very interesting music as well! I died and I didn't understand why, and i had to watch the first video again, which took a while. Probably needs checkpoints - but idea is very cool!

Druid's Friends by Risminator 2024-10-10T08:35:18Z

This game is super adorable! The art style is beautiful, and each creature has its own unique charm. I love the way you have to carefully figure out what food to give them—makes it feel like you’re actually interacting with real animals. The relaxing music adds to the overall vibe, and it’s fun trying not to get bitten. Great job!

ECHOES OF THE GNOMES by meylish 2024-10-10T08:19:21Z

Really fun and creepy FNAF-inspired game! The art and sound design are excellent, creating a spooky atmosphere that kept me on edge. The newspaper cutscenes added great lore, and the gnome concept was both hilarious and terrifying. I did find the pacing a bit slow at times, and some extra variety in gnome behavior would have added more tension. Overall, an impressive entry with lots of potential!

The Slushiest Slime by RapidDuck 2024-10-10T11:04:16Z

I had a great time playing this game! The concept of catching slimes and turning them into slushies is both unique and charming. The art style is super cute, and the gameplay loop is really addictive. I do agree with others that having more than one customer at a time would make things more dynamic, but I understand the technical constraints. Also, some customers getting stuck at the door slowed things down a bit. Overall, though, this was a lot of fun, and I’d love to see where you take this project next!

Quantum Swarm by Damien Black 2024-10-07T23:42:06Z

This was cool! Definitely agree with the previous comments that a cheat sheet or a reminder for how to play would be good - did find myself forgetting what the colors did.

The line drawing felt very smooth!

Butterjar by Zz1p 2024-10-08T00:12:57Z

The puzzles in this game were really well thought out, the movement of a few pieces took a little while to understand, but overall this was really good! Thanks mate!

SKUPKA by EpiFai 2024-10-08T00:07:16Z

Atmosphere was good, game loop was very interesting. The scary faces in the background took me a while to get, but the collecting mechanic was very nice.

Maze Bat by oliver_day 2024-10-10T04:57:03Z

Ascii style is awesome! I'd like to see you continue this idea and add in more creatures. You've done extremely well though! Animating the ascii bat was a nice touch.

Follow ME! by OldToadPower 2024-10-10T08:38:11Z

I had a blast playing this! The concept of controlling the "boys" was super charming, and the art style really complemented the gameplay with its cute and soft pastel colors. The mechanics were fun, though I did find the little guys a bit slow at times, especially when trying to keep up during enemy encounters. I loved how the game teaches you how to play right from the start, making it easy to jump into. Overall, it's a super fun and unique experience – just wish the boys moved a bit quicker! Great job!

Quackling Rescue by Laywelin 2024-10-07T23:17:13Z

This was a very cute game- I loved how the ducklings got distracted by food, reminds me of my partner and my doggo. Genuinely enjoyed, definitely room for further development. The main sprite sometimes glitched out, might be worth looking into.

Good work mate!

Tiny Dirty Tricks by Pimping 2024-10-10T04:55:55Z

Was hooked from the main menu - definitely set the tone quite well. I do agree that the tranistions could be made a bit quicker and the controls need a reworking, but the style of the game is amazing - you really knocked this out of the park.

First entry as well?? Killed it!

Betsy's Dreamhive by Hauntogogue 2024-10-10T00:06:53Z

The atmosphere and creature designs are really well done, giving off solid horror vibes! The audio and unsettling visuals build tension perfectly. However, the slow text and loading times interrupted the flow of the game, and I got stuck in the attic without a clear direction. With some tweaks to pacing and clearer guidance, this could be a really fantastic horror experience!

A Familiar Dungeon by Campbell-Soup 2024-10-10T05:13:56Z

This was really cool I love it. Reminds me of what I've built as well.

I really hope you contineu building this out, it looks and plays so well!

Frogotten Focus by Clare_Chan1738 2024-10-10T05:06:43Z

Congratulations on your first ludum dare! You did very well! Would love to see you continue developing this into something else!

Placeholders vs Golems by mcdima 2024-10-10T04:54:56Z

Thanks for adding the itch.io link, you killed this for the first game you've made! I love the concept of using placeholders in a game - it's cool and shows the developer side of it. Good work mate!

Critter Gang by lastsecondgames 2024-10-10T08:32:15Z

The bird boss was definitely the hardest for me, but in a good way! I think clearer damage feedback, like a sound or flash, would help since it’s easy to miss losing a heart with all the projectiles. Also noticed a bug with the ultimate—looks empty after one use, but I could use it again before it recharged. Loved the bear fight the most; super fun and challenging!

RestaurANT by Guadalupe Murgo 2024-10-07T16:34:31Z

Was a bit hard at the start to figure out what I was doing - but once I figured out that I needed to stack bread and then the jam had a bit of fun! Felt like the days past pretty quickly though.

All in all well done mate, you've done well for your first Jam! Really good work!

DRONE BRIGADE by Gaalsien 2024-10-10T00:13:54Z

Really impressive for a jam game! The concept of managing a team of unique droids is clever, and the space theme is well-executed. I found the game challenging, especially on the first level, and the controls could be a bit more responsive. It might help to give players more time to learn the mechanics early on. Overall, great work, especially for something made in such a short time!

A Fish Based Game by rodney fan 2024-10-10T05:12:31Z

“Bruh…” again!

You guys killed this. Loved th enotes on the fish tank - very reminiscient of finding nemo and the girl banging.

Good work!

Candyland by GonnaFlyMethod 2024-10-07T16:56:43Z

Might wanna lower the resolution on the itchio page and player settings in unity - bit hard to play it on anything other than a large monitor.

Always like playing a good tower defense game - felt it was a bit hard to get into this at the start, but after messing around for a bit it came together pretty well.

Few bugs with the camera movement when on the page, but I think this is to do with a few things.

It's good! Good work mate.

Souynd effects would've been great, but you did well!

Cover image looks cool! Can't wait to see the game though...

Critter Capture by TheXRLorax 2024-10-10T11:11:34Z

Critter Capture is such a delightful experience! The concept of exploring an alien world and snapping photos of adorable creatures feels reminiscent of Pokémon Snap, which is a brilliant choice for this theme. I really loved the creature designs—each one was so unique, and the Rolodex versions were a nice touch.

I did find the movement a bit tricky at first, but learning to slow it down helped a lot. Adding more levels or a larger map to drive around in could make the gameplay even more engaging. I also liked how the world felt alive, with creatures running or flying around. The music was a perfect fit, too—it added to the relaxing yet adventurous vibe. Overall, it’s a really creative and fun game with lots of charm! Would love to see more of it in the future!

The way to the eggs by Gaudy 2024-10-10T08:27:31Z

Creative and charming mechanics! The idea of taking control of different creatures with unique abilities is really fun, and the intro comic sets the scene nicely. The visuals, especially the bug animations, are great. However, the camera zoom made it difficult to navigate at times, and a few levels felt a bit like leaps of faith. Adding some audio and further refining the level design (especially the arrows) could enhance the experience. Overall, a unique and enjoyable game with lots of potential!

A Little Garden Prank by plasticsword 2024-10-10T11:05:32Z

This was such a fun little game! I loved the mischief aspect of playing as a gnome, and the double punch mechanic really kept me engaged. It was easy to get into a rhythm of punching and running, especially when Jon fell asleep, giving me a bit more time to cause chaos. I did accidentally click the quit button a couple of times, so maybe moving that off to the side would help. Overall, though, this was a great experience with charming art and simple but satisfying gameplay. Well done!

This was a very interesting take! Was enjoyable. Wasn't expecting the novel!

Fingers of Fate by JakerDevs 2024-10-10T04:58:30Z

Really good idea - I saw a youtube video from JDH the other day where he's experimenting with a similar style of adding fingers for different abilities, so it's fun to play something like that.

You've done well. Hitboxes were a bit hit and miss, but other than that you knocked it out. Good work!

Restoring Reparia by SerenityDev 2024-10-10T11:07:46Z

I love the concept of throwing little creatures at enemies to take them down! The visuals are really well done, and the game has a lot of charm. It definitely has a Pikmin vibe, which is always a plus in my book. The boss scene was particularly awesome, and I had fun just tossing the creatures around. That said, it would be great if the enemies were more challenging—right now, it feels a bit too easy. Also, I wasn’t quite sure what made the different colored creatures special. Overall, great job, and I’m looking forward to seeing more updates!

Quest for Gold by Mordokay 2018-04-24T18:09:42Z

Awesome concept, but could do with a few optimizations in terms of the gameplay speed (Although I just saw the comment about fixing the speed issue so I might take a look again.) Other than that very interesting adaption to the teme! Good work. :)

Games pretty cool! Found it quite enjoyable and especially the mashup between the two themes. Good work on this game!

Sadly every play through they disconnected from me! Bit hard at the start to get a hang of the controls, but after that provides an enjoyable experience.

PE@CE by bwalter 2018-04-23T16:15:37Z

Loved the game! Also loved following the progres on twitter. Controls we're pretty good albeit minimalistic. Didn't seem very optimised for laptops? Or lower-end hardware though? Possibly due to the fact you have all the levels loaded in the one scene? Other than that, awesome work!

Our Hero - A intriguing look at the life of an old hero by stormburpee 2018-04-23T16:23:33Z

@bobismijnnaam thanks for the super detailed review! I'll take all this on board - obviously towards the end I was rushing a little which brings in a few bugs sadly. Thank you for playing!

@LegionGames I had a lot of features that I wanted to implement! More scrolls etc, that could bring in dodging, rushing the enemies etc. Sadly just ran out of time - took a super long nap in the middle accidentally oops!

@good-enough Thanks for the review! I think it's something I'd definitely like to look at polishing and seeing if I could take it somewhere.

CCG Shoot 'em Up by Moczan 2018-04-23T15:47:09Z

Great idea, as with past reviews sound would be great! If you introduce sub types of the cards that would be cool - meaning that you can't use x card with x card (e.g. dash right, dash left). Small card descriptions would be great too, other than that - awesome work!
