Really nice idea and mechanics ! The graphics and music are nicely done. Here are some ideas :

Really nice idea and mechanics ! The graphics and music are nicely done. Here are some ideas :
- Add a life bar and more feedback when you get hit. You could also lose coins when you get KO'd.
- Start with less coins on first levels
- Traps could be more effective but last for a limited time only, so you'd have to reactivate them like the portals
Hilarious ! Nice job :)
I'm getting a 404 error, too bad.
Tried a few times, but I couldn't see the body parts on the right pane, even if I clicked the buttons on the top-right corner. So no way to modify the monster :/
Nice little game here, it fits the theme pretty well. First I found some recipes and changed the character's looks but in the end when there were too much ingredients and when the speed increased I just clicked around so see what happened. I didn't get the "aspect" system.
Good job nonetheless, maybe this entry could be worked into a more complete game :)
Didn't work on my PC (Windows XP 32-bit), too bad :(
Like this Godzilla simulation, good job !
Thanks man, loved your review :)
I would like to thank everyone for this positive feedback on my entry :)
voidstar33 : I made the music with FL Studio, using the 8bit Magical plugin. Next time I'll try using Bosca Ceoil.
Nice effort, it would be better if the player decelerated by itself (right now you have to press the opposite direction to slow down) and if the game was getting harder and harder with time. I did 3-4 poor attempts to get used to the controls, then I scores 2180 points.

I ran into this error :
"FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
ShaderName: shader_dither"
Decent little game !
The double jump is working weird because you seem add some number to the character's Y velocity (where you should SET the Y velocity to some number), so if the characters is already falling the double jump only makes him falling slower instead of jumping. Right now the only way to use the double jump effectively is to hit spacebar twice in a row really quickly.
Also, I love the character's face. Good job
@jackyjjc : First thanks a lot for your detailed review ! I'm especially glad you liked some details like the speech bubbles
The issue you mentioned is something we need to work on. Each room (including stairs) take the same amount of power, but currently on levels 5-6, sometimes you have to make some employees stop working in order to reach the goal, as the generator can't power all offices. We will try to explain this feature better or make it more fair in a future version.
@raunaq-s This kind of comment really gets us motivated to keep developing the game ! Thank you !
Hello fellow LDjammers !
First, I'd like to thank everybody for such positive words on our game  As it is now stated on this page, we're working on a full version of POWERCUT, Inc. with much more gameplay elements and levels. We will probably give more information really soon.
Stay tuned and have fun playing LD games
These "save" and "publish" buttons are pretty next to each other, right? :p Don't worry, you can still edit and update after publishing, and people will wait until you have a downloadable version before rating.
Good entry ! Love the little screen shakes and explosions, and that feeling of power you get at the beginning, only to realize that you have to pick up powerups so you can keep shooting at the same pace. When your power decreases too much it gets harder to avoid all bullets the enemies drop. Anyway, great job !
I think I won the game  tomaton.png
More seriously, that's a great entry and I'm impressed at what you managed to achieve in this short time frame. I played it for the long time, helping townspeople and exploring the cave with a lot of missile-shooting enemies, this is where I died. The dialogs were humorous, the graphics and animations were OK, too bad there's no sound ! Overall, great job !
I managed to 43 batteries on first run and 50 on the second one. Maybe you could improve the game so batteries do not appear too far? Right now it seems the batteries' locations are totally random. The sounds, music and cute little robot voices were really neat !
Your face was just hilarious
Graphics and audio were ok, as for the gameplay you could try adding enemies which move diagonally. Currently if you don't manage to move below an enemy wave you basically have no means to kill it. My high score is 1200... for now
Overall, that's a nice entry ! Good job.
Great job ! Music and sound design are awesome, graphics are nice too. The different endings add some replayability and the gameplay is OK.
Nice little game ! Simple but well-executed. The 3D models are charming with a "model" feeling, there's a happy tune playing all the way and I kept playing until reaching 3220 points. The speed is getting really insane past 2500 !
I don't have any problems with instant death here, however the ramdom generation could be better. Anyway this entry is really good, congrats !
120 children. I think I've beaten the score you posted on home page :) Anyway, nice mood, graphics and sounds, and lovely intensely erotic hamster sex scene, what else could we ask for? The repetitiveness wasn't so annoying and actually reminded me of Cart Life Maybe you could have added some more hints (left/right arrows below the Mr. Manpf's paws when he's using the wheel, highlighting items that should be used, etc.) Congrats for this very good entry !
Man these bombs... :'( Nice game you've got there, maybe you could only have one power bar instead of power + life. The graphics were ok and the floating jumps made combat against policeman more interesting.
Nice idea you've got here, could be improved with multiple characters/enemies. Instead of making one long level, you could also make shorter but progressively harder levels !
Nice use of windows and progress bars :p I got 147 points on my first run, it only started to get frantic in the end. Maybe improve it so the machine loses power more quickly? Or add other battery types, which you can use only when they reach certain values?
I only have a black screen, too bad ! Tested on Windows 10.
I'll probably come back to check again as I love Dwarf Fortress
Simple game, easy to pick up but needs balancing. I reached like 600 kW but then realized I could totally stop playing the game for one minute without losing !
Didn't have problems with white flashes though
Franti ! Really nice game :)
This is quite a paw-lished game, good work !
Nice entry, would have loved to play a longer game with the same concept.
Nice game! Original take on the theme, very well executed. I just did not understand how I'm supposed to get rid of the bigger objects, apparently there's no way to pull them or jump over them. Anyway, great entry overall !
Nice little game, a bit frustrating but overall playable and enjoyable while it lasts. Did you notice it is possible to deflect bombs with rockets (even if they fall down a bit later then)? :)
Cute game, I really liked the graphics and sound ! The isometric controls made it a bit hard to control. Overall, a good entry ! :)
@gonzako Welp, too bad :) What could have we done to keep you engaged for a longer time ? Did you use the provided tips if you were stuck ?
@gonzako Well, you cannot please everyone ! Actually while making the game, we thought that submitting a visual novel for Ludum Dare could be risky as fellow jammers may like more action-oriented entries, but we went for it anyway :)
@sarahwont Thanks a lot for your comprehensive feedback, glad you enjoyed our game ! Actually it flashes after 3 minutes or so, to kind of reassure the player. Anyway, you can just click it and close the menu and you won't get spoiled. We put enough warning messages so only players who really need tips can have them :)
Really nice entry, very interesting take on the theme ! It took me some time to figure out but after that I enjoyed serving more and more complicated drinks to customers. Around 11 pm I felt slightly tired of serving Martini's so I stopped being a barman and started dancing to keep the party alive by myself, until I sadly had to stop dancing around midnight. Congratulations :)
Cute little game with nice graphics & audio. Really easy to pick up, the difficulty level is kept very low but it's still enjoyable. Good entry !
I got congratulated with a B rank. Great job ! Reminded me of OmniBus. The chaos created by other vehicles and the voice over add a lot of humor, and the gameplay is quite engaging.
Nice touches of humor in the text at the beginning :) Game was a bit too easy for me, maybe you could lock the more advanced weapons at first? Or add more enemies? Graphics and sound were nice !
So you made it : Wario Ware meets marriage. Excellent idea for this theme. Some minigames' instructions were not always clear (I kept missing the toilet game before understanding it was a matter of timing) but I really enjoyed the other ones, especially the one with the rubbish bin (so relatable...). Good job !
Outstanding graphics and mood for a jam game, congratulations ! At first I didn't get well what I as supposed to do, but the pacing with relaxing music and ambient sounds do a lot for the game. Great job.
Nice little entry, actually I managed to get higher scores by clicking multiple times instead of clicking just once. You should make sure enemies don't appear too close to the player, because it is currently really difficult :)
Nice graphics and the dialog at the start quickly sets up the mood. The level design was interesting and I had fun avoiding these red thingies. Good job !
Nice take on the theme, I won at first try with a score of 279. It gets really overwhelming when you have a lot of guests :) Good job !
Good entry, it was interesting trying to figure out which bullets were actually dangerous. The blue enemies which appear after a while add some interesting challenge. Nice graphics & audio.
Really nice graphics and gameplay was interesting, I would have loved more levels and a higher difficulty :)
Cute entry, even if I was playing alone and I died BEFORE the other pinguin which was not moving at all :v: Graphics and audio were quite fun to watch and hear + nice touches of humor here and there !
Thanks to everyone for this hertwarming feedback, we honestly didn't expected this !
@charles-viau Actually, you may also serve a sushi with no ingredient on it.
@strega There are only 10 levels, once finished you can play them again in turbo mode ! The levels are hand-crafted, the only random factor is that the ingredients are permuted on level start (a customer asking for tuna may ask for avocado on another playthrough).
I completed the game by carefully avoiding all candles  Nice moody game, and good work on the monster design !
Nice idea! Looks like the walls start cracking even more and more frequently after a while ?
Interesting game, I feel like the Tesla Coil wepaon is much more powerful than the other one ! Nice effort on the graphics and polishing, too. Good job !
I liked the fact that it is indeed a city builder, but with a clear winning condition, instead of letting you play until you lose. Nice game :)
Just reached the ending
2022-10-03 10_21_29-10 Second Pizza Delivery by hungryroy — Mozilla Firefox.png
Nice little game, surprisingly the 2nd and 3rd levels seemed harder to me than the latter ones. Good job overall.
Great idea, would be nice to have a single mode with a target score, but with 2 players it's really enjoyable :)
Nice game, I especially loved the hexagonal environment and how the tiles rise up when you approach them, with really neat lighting effects.
@everyone : Thanks a lot for these incredible comments !
@hungryroy : the easiest way to pass Scribble Leap is by avoiding moving horizontally and just timing your jumps. Also, now you've unlocked Training mode, you may practice this level as much as you want
Such a nice idea, you kind of broke the fourth wall there, nice execution with some good polish for a compo game. Great job !
Fun game, the mix of tower defense and deckbuilding is a neat idea !
I really enjoyed this one, it's an interesting use of the theme ! Also, what a polished game for a compo ! The graphics and sounds are on point.
Interesting game, I'm curious about which ideas you have for the multiplayer mode ! Good job
That was so funny, such a nice idea with a lot of humor, I actually laughed out loud while playing and butchering people's beards. Great job !
I'm actally a math teacher so this was the right difficulty for me  Nice idea, the ability to keep solving older additions even when newer ones come up is great, and it's original to see some DOM games in Ludum Dare. Great job !
Haha I've reached 30 pts, but then it went totally frantic with a lot of bullets everywhere and I couldn't even see my mouse pointer, but that's the kind of moments you expect from this kind of games  Nice game, the idea to have multiple food effects is a good one.
Nice idea, the dash roll is an original move !
Great job, very well polished, graphics and music are on point, and these puzzles are mind-bending ! Congratulations for putting up all of this in only 48 hours !
Interesting entry, I would love to see more levels so difficulty could gradually increase. The sound effect idea is indeed really nice !
Interesting idea, controlling the bullets that will themselves kill you later. Nice little entry !
Good entry considering it's your own engine. There were some bugs like passing through the floor, but you've created a nice mood !
@mdotedot I've figured it out after some tries, you have to fall in the pit of the left (tricky, as the scrolling does not go back once you've progressed), there seems to be an orange button but it did not work for me too.
Cute idea, fortunately cats can survive more than 10 seconds in real life ^^
I think I've reached the ending, and I actually have fun. Nice entry !
You're supposed to click the right spot in every screen to get to the next one. It's kind of a labyrinth but with hidden pixels and mouse clicks ^^
Haha, how many bullets is this hat capable to shoot ?
2022-10-04 21_51_29-Demon King Wizard's Hat Escape.png
Nice little entry, I especially liked the graphics !
Reminds me of WarioWare, having to switch between game is a nice feature !
Nice little idea and great mood !
Nice entry !
2022-10-04 21_33_30-LD_51.png
The difficulty is well-balanced, and it was fun to try the game again with a different upgrade set. Nice work on the graphics and polishing too !
A really interesting and quite innovative puzzle concept, I really liked it, even though the first puzzles were a hard start. Good job !
A really nice entry, with an interesting concept. The droplets are very satisfying to watch growing.
@satless thanks a lot for your heartwarming comment ! I used some free Kontakt instruments from their "Komplete Start" bundle (mostly Analog Dreams) and chiptune VSTs (magical8bitplug).
@arscene thank you for this comment ! I know I could have included keyboard movement too, although I really wanted the game to be playable on mobile as well as on desktop.
@dashvirus wow your comment is so nice, I'm so glad you loved so much aspects of the game ! I didn't have the time to play games right after the compo, but I'll be sure to rate and comment some this weekend.
@decadedecaf @kutase @tete thanks for your motivating comments !
@sutt00 Thanks ! I didn't think about right click as I wanted to make the game mobile first, but you're right (as weel as the keyboard movement mentioned earlier). What do you think would make the game a better fit for the theme ?
@sutt00 Yeah, actually by the end of Saturday I had ideas for mechanics where the creatures could grow together into bigger ones and the game would take place on a larger scale, but it was outside of the scope for this jam. Maybe I could have got this ideas earlier and plan the dev around them !
So many nice comments, thank you so much everyone !
@samuel-fine on Chrome on Android, you can install the game on home screen when you navigate to its URL. Maybe it also works on iPhone too ?
@xparker you can change the aiming direction in the main menu :)
@everyone thank you for your comments !
@f1tzy it's a bug that occurs on Firefox, maybe switch to Chrome for this game ? (btw I'm a Firefox user too)
@crocidb noted, I may write this in the future. I generally manage my time the same way in every jam.
Had a hard time finding all the creatures (but they are tiny, so I guess it's normal that theyr're well hidden !) Nice little game, the environment was beautiful for a LD entry.
I really loved the overall experience considering you've done this in only 8 hours, nice job !
My mantis is now a killing machine :) Capture d'écran 2024-10-12 105221.png Nice little game with pretty pixel art and animations. The gameplay was simple, yet engaging.
Nice entry, loved the fish names, the upgrades were quite useful !
Excellent game, how did you manage to make such polished animations and audio in a compo entry ? Nice take on the theme too, and it was really entertaining to just look as these aliens living their best life and reproducing when they feel like it.
Interesting concept, I love the idea of managing the different creature types with Pokemon-style battles. Nice work on the graphics and animations too !
A really solid, polished entry, with great pixel art, dialogues and mood ! The first encounter with the giant moving tree was genuinely scary. Great job !
Nice entry, the two different attacks each have their specific use and the core mechanics were functional. I liked the graphics, good job !
@sviborg you have to charge the battery first, by touching it with the energy bot (have the stronkbot jump behing the energy bot)
What the Capture d'écran 2024-10-13 105710.png (everytime I launch the battery to the platform while it's moving, the battery would stretch like to various sizes)
Anyway, fun little puzzle game, I liked the 3D view and the music !
Awesome, I love being a bee ^_^
"Trauma Center" X "Papers, Please" ? Interesting entry, satisfying to play. I hope you enjoyed your spaghetti meal :)
A great fit for the theme, nice graphics !
Fun art and voiceovers, nice job !
Nice looking game, 3D platforming with speedrunning elements is a great mix.
I followed @tete's advice and got to wave 10 too !
Capture d'écran 2024-10-12 130756.png
How many waves are there ? Great game with impressive visuals.
Excellent entry, funny take on the theme, and a really well-thought mood and strange atmosphere, reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Great job !
I think I've found a safe spot here ^^ Capture d'écran 2024-10-11 000431.png Good entry, as @heiden-bzr mentioned it would be nice to have the player press a key before starting the game. Congrats for making this with pygame, too !
Nice idea to make a visual novel with this theme ! The beggining was great, however I also ran into the bug described by @ladybenko
C'est très bien, very good ! Especially considering you make this in 4 hours. I found a little bug here : couldn't click on the target creature if it's overlapping with another one. Capture d'écran 2024-10-12 123727.png
Nice idea you have there, I really like Papers, Please and all games that got inspiration from it.
Nice polishing for a LD game, graphics and audio are on point and the gameplay feels new. Great job !
A really moody game with a nice emphasis on lightning ! Good job !
404 error, be sure to make the game public !
Nice take on the theme ! Overall pretty fun to play, maybe you should have made small levels with progressively bigger asteroids instead of putting the big ones at the beginning. Maybe a time limit too? Anyway, good job !
Really smooth and beautiful art style, you did great with the PICO-8 (no rhyme intended) :)
@all Really nice feedback here, glad to see you've liked the game so much, thanks a lot !
@amras0000 Actually you're totally right, I knew people here in LD were going to play this with a mouse so I should have improved the controls a bit. Moreover, as you said the ships should be returned to your hand when they reach the top instead of disappearing. Also, I agree with you, keyboard controls would add a lot !
@keppu Yeah, I thought about adding these, for instance when a pawn would reach the top it could return as a Queen on your hand.
@all : thanks again for this very positive and motivating feedback
@csanyk Well, Pawns are so weak they can only shoot in diagonals and their range is limited to one square, so starting with Rooks is much easier :)
Almost got hit by the scarecrow every time he saw me, so no way to bring the wheat back :joy: Anyway, really nice mood and graphics here, great job !
Really loved this, overall nice game.
2018-04-23 12_01_39-PuzzleGolf by Jiri Hysek.png
Well I set a new highscore on 2nd try :v:
2018-04-23 11_50_18-FlapTris.png
Anyway, excellent take on the theme, I had a lot of fun trying to flap these pieces and loved it when I finally destroyed my first line :joy: The presentation, graphics and music were spot on too. Great job !
@Andreadbx @Mazzletov oh craaaaap only by 60 pts, this calls for a revenge :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
There
2018-04-23 13_32_01-FlapTris.png
Excellent game with fantastic voxel graphics! I somehow managed to play until level 12. Great job !
You should have high hopes for your Humor rating. Good job :)
Nice take on the theme, too bad you didn't made all 12 games !
I would really love to play a more complete and polished game like that, and only with mouse/touch controls instead of keyboard :) Is there any end to the Patreon game? I donated $1,000 and nothing happened :p
Also by the way, there is a small mistake on the instruction page : in the breakout game the ball is launched with Up arrow, not A. Keep up the good work !
Nice entry, I got to 122 points on 4th try, after spending the first minutes trying to run into the kiwis and not understanding why I was dying. The acceleration and progressive difficulty feel nice and the horror mood is nicely made. Good job !
@Mazzletov Well you don't have to, but it took me 3 tries to figure this out :)
@Pixels Everywhere : no everyone has a QWERTY layout and having to shift might be tedious
Had a lot of fun there, the Nuclear Throne-style shooting is very well reproduced. I wish the game would become harder or feature more enemy types after some time. The music also sounded like Sans boss fight in Undertale to me, which helped me think about the meaningful consequences of my horrible shooting actions. Poor b's, you will be remembered forever
Really fun game, little welcome bits of humor (algebraic notation, ELO rating haha), it was pretty fun avoiding all these waves. Didn't had input lags or performance issues. Good job !
That was actually fun, couldn't beat Hard level. So did you try to mix shooter and puzzle game? That's nicely done.
wtf did I just play...
...seriously, I almost died when I realized what your game was about. Nice idea :)
Hi, could you give some explanation about what to do? The game kinda get stuck after one of two turns...
