I'm actally a math teacher so this was the right difficulty for me :laughing: Nice idea, the ability to keep solving older additions even when newer ones come up is great, and it's original to see some DOM games in Ludum Dare. Great job !

I think the difficulty is fine, if there isn't any scaling up in difficulty, the game would be too easy. I think having multiple additional and add in subtraction would make it even more "fun".

I was attempting to type in the answers, to realize that I needed to click the numbers.

I like the audio. Also the number of fails is a good touch. When you made one (mis)calculation it would be game over.

Ah that may be that the embed needs to be clicked first to give it keyboard focus. After that, the keyboard works (in fact the on-screen keyboard was an afterthought for mobile friendliness)

(in a rush to test many, don’t mind the cursory style)

[testing the navigator version]

1. The game is pretty straightforward! It does work, as some mental callisthenics. 2. while playing, thought up an algorithm (maybe did I see it somewhere already?) for fast calculation and left-to-right typing (because the tricky thing is that you cannot type the digits from right to left!): for (digit) position going from left to right: check the two current digits, compute their sum S, check the two FOLLOWING digits, and add one (thus, S+1) if these latter add to at least 10. I used it sometimes, but still got overwhelmed over time. XD Although I guess training could surely help! Overwhelmed… 3. I like how the sharp signs act as a "loading" bar 4. presentation is simple yet clear, both visually and for sounds; I still think a sound for TYPING would have added to the fun! PROTIP to everyone: put a sound for the most often repeated player-enabled mechanic(s) for your games! 5. the piling up / stacking of questions is also great. And overwhelming XD

**Takeaway:** hard to say more than the other comments. Straightforward, almost a dynamic quizz! Looks like someone just devised a new cheap and dirty online SAT. ;))

Interesting game with simple and clean design. Sound of typing adds a lot to experience and buttons are nice addition for mobile devices. Difficulty scaling is fair. Also good job for making it in just 5 hours. Pretty good!

Simple but very well executed idea! The sound effects are cool, I like the fact that you can solve any equation at any time and that you can either use the buttons on the screen or you keyboard. All of this made the game feel pretty smooth. Of course it is still "just" an addition game, but the best one I know which additionally was created in only 5 hours!

To get a good result in the study of mathematics, the duration of the lesson is not so important, in my opinion. Especially when it comes to children. I believe that the teacher should choose the training program in such a way, as well as organize the lesson so that it is as informative as possible, but not overloaded, and at the same time, to some extent, even fun and exciting. There are good [math training for kids](https://brighterly.com/) on the Brighterly platform, which I can definitely recommend if you want your child to get really high-quality math knowledge.
