I love how big the map is in this. Could allow for a range of level types and gameplay opportunities. Really neat idea and the music is awesome! I would love to see this game extended with animations, levels, etc... Dark theme but fun to play.
This is a really neat game mechanic. There is a lot of interesting level design possibilities with this. It's really fun to try and figure out how to horizontally position yourself to get the coins with the big fist. Great concept.
Neat little game. The game on Gamejolt seems to be cut off slightly on my chrome browser for some reason. Score is halfway cut off, so it's difficult to see my distance :(
Loved the music and sound effects in the game. The atmosphere is also really good. The game was a bit on the difficult side for me, might be nice to have a health/heart system. The bouncing intro is also a really nice touch
Really like the floaty controls and the floaty camera. Nice concept of only being able to hit like-color enemies. Additional colors might make for some more varied gameplay.
Took me a while to get what was happening, but once I did I really liked the game. Sound effects are awesome!
Neat little story. The presentation is clean and elegant. What did you use to create?
Really liked this little gem. Love that the the game board falls down around you and closes in. The sound effects cracked me up too. The action point system looks like it would add a layer of depth and strategy as well.
My bit of feedback: Maybe start the player closer to the enemies so that they can get right into the action. My first few turns were just movement. Skipping to the action right away might be a bit more fun.
Great work!
Fantastic graphics. The pop-up ads give an interesting take on the wave shooting gameplay. I think what would improve the gameplay slightly is the ability to switch weapons. The weapons could also be more or less effective against different enemies.
Great work!
This was a fun jenga type game. Trying to build a house of cards is always fun. The graphics and presentation are very clean. Everything felt responsive and nice. Great work.
My bit of feedback: Kind of like tetris, it might be nice to have a preview of the the upcoming level or building that you will be able to place next. The player can perhaps strategize the best way to move forward.
All in all, a good time. Great work!
Good shit Teddy! Was a little confused as to what to do at first, but got the hang of it. Dope art. It's actually a lot of fun to just flick items arounds with the physics.
Impressive how much you were able to implement during the jam. I like the characters and the animations. The movement and purchasing food and camps was fluid and worked well. I think the combat could be sped up a little but other than that this is really good work
I really like the mood and atmosphere of the game. I wanted to get the orb at the top of the church but couldn't figure out how to do it. Once I got the wings and glide though, I couldn't stop jumping and gliding everywhere.
such a well fleshed out game! Congrats. The art looks amazing and the story is engaging as well. There's a nice sprinkle of humor in there as well. Great job making this.
It took me a second to find my avatar, but I love the idea of playing as a pixel. The mood felt oddly calming in a good way, I think that's do to the music selection. My only suggestion is to maybe try making the platforms less slippery, I kept sliding of them once I jumped. Other than that, great work!
Great work on this game! Plenty of levels with a good ramp up in difficulty. The mechanic was simple to understand. My biggest frustration with the game were the controls, I felt like the mouse movement was a bit to twitchy which made precision more difficult. Also trying to rotate the character towards the edge of the screen became a challenge as well. That said I really enjoyed this game. Great work.
Fun game. Great level of polish. The screen transitions were smooth and I like how the mechanic of throwing rocks builds on itself as you progress further into the game. I noticed some weirdness when you threw the rock sometimes. It would just get stuck in mid air for some reason. All in all a nice polished game. Fantastic job.
@brallex thank you so much! And thank you for playing.
@dazedhead @xacur @gabriele @clemonades @codeforjoycaro @kristinamay Thank you all so much for playing!
@zakamana @trusty @piturnah @idk-what-im-doing @toryf @adliberum Thanks for playing!
@djee Thank you so much for playing! The tool I used to make the music is called Ecrett. It's kind of like SFXR but for music.
@polyethyleneglykol Great point about the spamming LMB. It was a hard design trade off to make: keep the cooldown timer between clicks or let the player go nuts. Letting the player go nuts felt more fun and gives you the option of choosing to spam LMB or not.
@djee No worries at all! Hopefully the tool sees some love from those of us who are not great at making music :)
@geoff-nagy @barrier @sbrianz @jupiter-hadley @arzi Thank you for playing!
@purpledartfrog Thanks so much for letting me know. I'll look into that, but it seems to be an issue I'm seeing with Godot html games. Are you by any chance playing on Firefox and on Windows? If so perhaps try playing on chrome or downloading the Windows, Mac or Linux build. Again, thanks for letting me know about the issue and I'm sorry that was your first experience with the game.
@umsee You're the first to catch the "Love thy fate" reference! Thanks so much for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@pokenoufl Thank you for playing! I'm sorry you had that experience. There's some physics issues that'll need to be sorted out and I'll be sure to tackle that bug when I revisit the game. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
@joe-bustamante thank you for playing and thank you so much for the kind words.
I'm stoked to be the first to comment and rate this game because it's such a gem! The mood and theme are on point. Great work with the voice over. Clever title. Great work!
I really like the graphics and atmosphere you created. The flying was also a nice responsive mechanic. I ran into some collision issues, but other than that great work!
Nice to see so many people using Godot! I really like the shield mechanic in the game! Great work!
I died so many times on that first jump, then I discovered double jump. I couldn't get passed that part where there's a huge wall though. Nice platformer!
Whoa this is really neat. Took me a second to figure out how to move the character and then I realized it's like an RTS movement, which made sense when more people showed to be able to moved around for resources. Amazing work.
I'm Firefox (windows) and unfortunately all I got was a blank black screen :( On the plus side, this looks like a godot game! Yay for Godot!
Lol I wasn't able to collect a single body part, but I did thrash around my head like there was no tomorrow for a good while trying. Neat game!
I couldn't unlock the game for some reason. Any hints as to how to do it?
I was struggling to figure out what to do but eventually figured it out. Not before I randomly hit the explode button and this line: "such competence..." had me actually laughing out loud. Great job!
I really enjoyed this game! I can't put my finger on it, but it has an addictive quality to it. The UI work is amazing. Everything was easy to parse out and the notifications all worked flawlessly to show me where I needed to focus my attention. really really well done.
Took me a while to get the game loop, but once I did I figured out the idea is to get something sustainable going. Neat idea. I did encounter a bug where it would say I was out of energy but I still had some left. My favorite aspect of the game was developing the land outwards. Good job.
Unfortunately I'm unable to play. I can't get out of the opening intro screen.
Love the aesthetic of this game. Platforming was a bit unforgiving, but everything else was really enjoyable. Great work!
I love how meta this game is. Also, my favorite card was the "Marie Kondo Your Code"...too real. I encountered a couple bugs. I had all of one card at one point and sometimes the card would change whenever I hovered over it. It wasn't game breaking, but thought I'd bring it up. Great job!
This is straight up fun! I like the reversal of the theme where you're gradually taking away things until there's nothing. I love that everything in the world can be interacted with and it all some physics properties to it.
Such a great little game. Humor, art and a narrative. This game has it all! I went big and then bigger...didn't turn out well for me unfortunately. I'd be curious to play again to see if there's multiple endings. Great job!
Hurray for another Godot game! I felt guilty running around pick pocketing everyone, but a thiefs gotta do what a thiefs gotta do.
Great job tutorializing the gameplay in the opening menu. The wave really hits you from the get go, great job making this engaging.
This game is humorously terrifying! I was cracking up the whole time and the people following you around snapping pictures was both hillarious and uncomfortable. The controls were the only thing I struggled with. Great work
I liked the puzzles you incorporated with the box mechanic. The difficulty definitely kept me engaged. Good job!
I love the charm of this game's graphics. It took me a while to figure out how to pick up weapons and shoot, but once I did I was off and running. Also! Props for using Godot, I'm happy to see that engine is being used a lot more. Did you make the "ooof" sound effect yourself? Love it.
Wow! This was great! Love the mood and the models. The radio is also great. I couldn't stop stapling!
Interesting game. I'm torn because I like the mechanic of having the path ahead hidden, but perhaps a hint for what's to come might be interesting as well. Great job!
Wasn't able to find the game. It just 404'd
This is a neat idea. I liked the time pressure of having to keep moving and then grabbing what you can to go and take on the dragon. A bit more sound and music would add to the atmosphere and bring it up a level in quality. The art and animation is fantastic. Great work!
Nice little tower defense game. Well done! It was challenging in the beginning and then I thought I was getting the hang of it, but then it got difficult again. Fun game!
Interesting game, well done! I like the progression you implemented with how the level unfolds. My only struggle was with color choice and the sensitivity of the mouse. My eyes started to feel uncomfortable after a while. Other than that, great work!
Such a great and innovative mechanic! I really enjoyed this a lot. I messed up a few times but it was tuned just perfectly for me to still be able to finish. Really great work. My only complaint is that the music didn't feel like it quite fit the feel and tone of the game, but that's a subjective critique. Everything else was great.
Great game with some great puzzles. The quality of this is also really high, amazing you were able to complete this during the jam. Great work! SFX is also perfect.
I think the build is broken unfortunately :(
Fun game! The art looks great and I like the back story setup in the beginning. It would be nice to see a little variation in between the rounds, like a boss battle or something to make each round feel slightly different. Also the impact sound effect was louder than the music and it felt a bit jarring. All in all I really liked the charm of this game. Great work!
I'm unable to play the game. It just shows a blank white screen? Anything I can do to play? I'm on Firefox.
Getting bumped by those squirrel looking things cracked me up
@eerongal Thanks so much for the feedback. I agree, the success/fail is a bit jarring. Would love to update the game in the future with your feedback! Appreciate it!
@catnap thanks for the heads up! I'll see what I can do about fixing the audio.
@letssnack You're 100% right! I updated the page with some art.
Loved the green hill background! Gave me good feel vibes.
Loved the music in this one! Would have loved to hear some SFX for the attacks and jumping.
I loved the blend of 2d and 3d in this! Great ambiance!
Feedback: It would have been nice to have the 2d trees and foliage billboarded.
Great art, great ambiance, and a simple mechanic with nice overall progression. Great job!
Laying down a bunch of turrets was fun!
Art is beautiful! Effects on the cards look great too.
Such a simple mechanic, but the puzzles are fun! Great job!
