This is an amazing new take on the classic, and the sound affects are perfect!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD35 → 2D-Tris

This is an amazing new take on the classic, and the sound affects are perfect!
That was definitely a .. twist. get it? Ha ha.. Ok I'll go.
Nice idea, the game was a lot of a fun and is a pretty cool take on tetris.
don't see how it fits with theme but I really enjoyed this game, great take on the classic.
Fun little reinterpretation of tetris and of the theme. Could use some light background music
Interesting concept. Could use a quick-fall button.
I have no idea whatsoever how this fits the theme, and i didn't have much fun with it if I'm honest.
Brilliant, love it - more creative and successful than my own tetris variant. I'd love a Mac build please if it's not too much trouble :)
This game almost tells you like it is right up front (without quite differentiating itself title-wise from regular tetris which was also 2d..
but in all seriousness:
This took a minute for my mind to adjust to and to get a feel for the controls. It is ALOT harder than it looks, seeing someone speed run this would be amazing and nauseating.
Pretty difficult to realy get the hang of. Interesting take on the shape shifter theme though.
This is really an enjoyable twist on the classic game. I like that even if you make a mistake, you can reverse it by just flipping the board around. It's a neat undo mechanic. Nice concept.
Awesome! Brilliant idea.
In contrast to some others, I think this fits the theme relatively well. Graphics and sound are good, some music would've been nice. It definitely is hard to get used to the way the game works.
I laughed at the "game over" sound.
Nice game!
Wait, did you made sounds with your mouth? :O xD
The idea is nice, but the controls are a little confusing. Also the block should go faster and I missed music.
Oh my! A huge thank you for all the positive feedback. It just feels awesome to see people enjoying our game. :D
@hippy dave: OSX build is available now - hope it works, but we can't test it.
@HolyBlackCat: Yep, we did make all the sounds with our mouths.
The OSX build works great (there's a bit of a weird warping of the grid when rotating, but it doesn't break the game in any way). As others have side, nice twist on a classic. And interesting audio... especially when you hit escape.
That is really a clever idea! First I was a little bit confused, so I got -63 points for the first level, but then I went better. Maybe a bit smaller playfield would make it a bit more interesting, but nevertheless a very good idea and cool game!
Cool idea! Definitely possibilities with building up against more than one surface!
My big issue with it is that sometimes I'd get so far and find it was (as far as I could tell) impossible to fill in the remaining area, since no shape would fit and no matter how I moved or rotated, that wasn't going to change (since there's no rotation of the pieces, only the fall direction).
The other problem is that there isn't quite the same time pressure as Tetris as I can just keep rotating round and round so the piece didn't land, giving me as long as I wanted to think about the move I was going to make.
