LD39 — Running out of Power

Displaceable source by HolyBlackCat 2017-08-02T11:55:16Z

It looks really nice, and feels smooth. The only issue I have is how hard it is to work out the mechanics, but we were both on the stream.

It was a fun game with nice graphics as well. If there was one thing I had a problem with while playing it is how the level wraps around. It just confused me, and resulted in many deaths (especially when the enemies spawn right on top of me doing that). Other than that, it was really fun. The audio was quite nice as well.

The forgotten mission by stoffe 2017-08-01T06:51:08Z

It was a really fun game, and I liked the extra dialogue that the robot said. However, the only problem I had was that you had to play in fullscreen, otherwise you couldn't see the actual play area due to the box being in the way. On the other hand, it feels really fun to murder Aryan space pirates.

The Lunar Invasion by MCjammydodger 2017-08-01T10:40:58Z

It was a really fun game. It might just be me, but it felt quite easy (score of 5264, after buying all the shop items). However, it also felt balanced. Its a creative idea, and the graphics aren't terrible. The music also feels very space-y.

Wires and Robots by MiltonNH25 2017-08-01T07:25:10Z

I quite liked the fact that you could choose which robot you played as. I also liked the music a lot. However, it sometimes feels like the puzzles are a little bit too unforgiving (especially for people as stupid as I can be, I got stuck on level 8 for a _quantifiable_ amount of time). Other than that, it's a really fun game.

Fall of Raphael by fangzhangmnm 2017-08-01T07:00:27Z

I enjoyed this game. The aesthetic was very nice, even if the art was not the most sophisticated. If I had one problem, it would be the part where you are frozen when the host turns off all the lights. It would be really nice if there was some indication for when that happens.

Astro Mining by d3garcia 2017-08-01T21:55:08Z

Overall, it was a creative idea, but maybe a bit too challenging for me.

It's a really pretty game, but the only issue I have is how unintuitive the controls feel. It's extremely easy to lose just from one wrong key press. However, it definitely has potential, and having an indicator for the direction of the asteroid would definitely help make it more intuitive to play as it would make it feel less about luck.

AI; ace intelligence by baconsenpaii 2017-08-03T14:30:30Z

@ray Did you see the "How to play" button on the main menu? Or any of the tooltips?

POW by ProdigalSon 2017-08-01T23:08:46Z

While the movement felt a bit off at first, it was actually quite easy to learn. It was a very fun puzzle game, and quite unique. I especially loved the music.

With Extra Steps by ArticNet 2017-08-01T07:32:51Z

It was a nice mobile game, but the difficulty increases exponentially (literally, at least as far as I got (level 3)). I quite liked the introduction as well.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

The Six Hundred by baconsenpaii 2017-12-04T07:41:02Z

Resolution scaling in full screen is a bit of a problem, as well as if you play it on a screen larger than 1080p in fullscreen.

LD42 — Running out of space

Dungeon Time by shadow64 2018-08-15T17:42:27Z

I tried running it a few times, but the game got stuck on a splash screen.

.S by torcado 2018-08-14T12:52:35Z

It was really fun, but my main issue with it is how easy it is to trap yourself in a corner for eternity.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A VALET by VikFX 2018-08-15T17:38:56Z

Does it require a controller to work, or are there keyboard controls as well? @ me with a response, since the game looks really nice.

Descension by Dragojt 2018-08-14T17:05:00Z

The art is nice, and the puzzles were interesting and not impossible. Very well done.

LegDos by ChaosTheLegend 2018-08-14T12:07:35Z

It was a fun game idea, but on my first play through I got quite a few viruses in a row, and as such couldn't install and new games or software.

At least until I upgraded to a 20GB hard drive for $700, then ran out of money.

Fun game, 8/10 would use LegCord again.

AL - A Choose Your Own Adventure by starvingindie 2018-08-14T16:36:10Z

The graphics and music are nice, and the story is quite funny. It was a really interesting entry.

The Battle for the Earth by baconsenpaii 2018-08-14T16:25:17Z

@starvingindie It was made using Ink Script.

The Battle for the Earth by baconsenpaii 2018-08-14T16:46:58Z

@dragojt I originally planned to have more skill based events, but I ended up running low on time and skipped them. Such are the woes of Ludum Dare.

Planetary Construction by Didactylos 2018-08-14T12:56:12Z

As said before, it is hard to work out what to do at first, but the UI and graphics are really nice.

We Need Space! by BigJigglyProductions__ 2018-08-14T12:42:59Z

It was an interesting game, but I ended up feeling sick due to the constantly moving cameras. The different coloured planets was a nice touch though, even if it did take me a while to work out the controls.

Dogs on the Bed by Sharky3188 2018-08-14T15:57:53Z

I agree that it would be useful to have some other indication than just a change in colour. Other than that, it was a really nice game.

Bat-Chan! by Alex Foyt 2018-08-14T16:44:36Z

The art is really nice, but the music gets a bit repetitive after a while.

A Bar In Space by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2018-08-14T16:16:24Z

It's quite a fun game, and I enjoyed squashing aliens by typing. The music was quite good as well.

Slime Running. by SadDayStudio 2018-08-14T16:09:37Z

It's a fun game, but my main issue with it is that you shouldn't have removed the Unity launch options, since the laptop I've been using during this Ludum Dare lagged really badly while playing. It would be fine if you had some settings in game, but there are no graphics settings. Even so, it was still really fun, and if you could add the launch options I would gladly play it again.

Slime Running. by SadDayStudio 2018-08-14T19:40:22Z

@saddaystudio when it's done be sure to @ me so I can check it out

LD45 — Start with nothing

TidePool by Rebecca Harrison 2019-10-08T21:25:40Z

the camera feels like it could do with a bit of zooming out and tweaking, even in the post-jam version, but other than that its a fun puzzle game. the graphics and sound are also really nice, and the splash effects when jumping in the water were a pleasant surprise when i first noticed them.

overall, a beautiful game

LD46 — Keep it alive

DODGE IT by Welliton 2020-04-21T17:41:26Z

a fairly simple concept but really well executed. its fun to play (and addictive) and the sound effects are nice and **crisp**.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Blind Vision by tsjost 2018-04-28T21:09:58Z

That was a really fun game! Would have nice to have some music but those sound effects make up for it. It also looked really nice, even with two colours.
