While the movement felt a bit off at first, it was actually quite easy to learn. It was a very fun puzzle game, and quite unique. I especially loved the music.

erebus 2017-08-02 10:27

I had this on stream. Wanted to post and say again this was a really cool and interesting puzzle game! Nice job!

andidebob 2017-08-02 20:53

Love the variety of puzzles you came up with and the stability with which the game works, you even have a Checkpoint system! All in all a very good result for a jam. You should advance on it and make more out of this great little prototype.

austinspafford 2017-08-02 23:07

Quite enjoyable! Aside from the controls not being presented in-game at the beginning, the hidden-tutorial offered by frequent checkpointing and gradual introduction of concepts was quite polished!

travis 2017-08-03 03:50

Great prototype! Was very fun and enjoyable. The pacing of the new concepts of the puzzles was well done. Love the concept of the game and how you cleverly hid a timelimit to solve the puzzles. Would love to see this expanded upon!

gep 2017-08-03 03:59

I saw this on a stream last night and thought it looked good but was too tired to look it at the time. it took me 40 mins to find it by wading through all the games (because I haven't found a better way). It was worth it, It's a good game nice job. I wish you didn't have to drop the device to charge it, and maybe when I recall the device that it was attached with the option to drop it. I ended up just hitting r and never holding on just to make sure i didn't blow myself up on accident. Seriously though, good job on the whole thing best different use of theme in mechanics I've seen so far.

robber 2017-08-03 18:29

Truly Wonderful little puzzlegame, really like the design of the mechanics and how each part introduces something new and a new way to use the mechanics, very well done. music and graphics are also very fitting. perfect gamejam game. well done!

skosnowich 2017-08-03 19:57

Awesome game. I really like the puzzles, they are neither too hard nor too easy. The movement felt a bit unresponsive sometimes, but it worked overall. The graphics are simple but look very good. The music fits the atmosphere very well. Great polished game!

bitdecay 2017-08-04 00:43

I'm surprised at the variety of puzzles you were able to make with this mechanic. This is probably one of my favorite uses of the theme I've played so far. Feels very polished and clean in almost all regards.

cudabear 2017-08-04 01:44

This is a great entry! The puzzles offered enough challenge without being frustrating. The graphics and music established the world very nicely! The non-brutal checkpoints allowing me to restart each level made it fun to try things that might not work. Well done!

jcmonkey 2017-08-04 02:53

nice game, a good way to do puzzles

roguenoodle 2017-08-04 10:37

Loved this! Very interesting mechanics, well designed puzzles, great use of checkpoints, and fit the theme well - great work!

nyri0 2017-08-04 11:55

I really like this game, it's even my favorite in all the games I've tested in this edition so far ! Nice concept and puzzles, cool graphics and audio. Please continue working on it, because it's awesome ! :)

We streamed your game with Danae plays on Twitch. :) Here's a link:

[Danae streams Ludum Dare 39: Day 1, part 1: POW](https://youtu.be/4KfQtLDzK-g?t=2h21m40s)

As said on stream, this game is very well polished and it's hard to find flaws. Maybe the biggest is that it is a bit of a cliché puzzle game :D But of course the actual puzzle elements seemed quite interesting. I wish the game was actually separated into levels, so that mechanics and strategies could be introduced in separate levels. It would add a sense of satisfaction to the progression. Balancing is extremely difficult for any game jam, so I don't mind this as much: the overall difficulty could have been higher. There is a lot of potential with many arrangements of the obstacles, but many of them fall into conceptually very similar categories (e.g. place the gadget on one side of the path, then take the other side to avoid spikes, bombs, teleports, etc.). It is hard to design a good, difficult puzzle level, but I'm sure it could be done :) One mechanic I would probably change is the gadget charge – why is it time-based? I feel a movement-based countdown would have been much more natural in a puzzle game. This could even introduce additional layers of "puzzle" challenge (instead of "move fast" challenge) – e.g. some levels could have a gadget with a really short countdown, so the player movement would have to be perfect.

So in summary, a lot of potential in an already very polished game. Good job! :)

lerpish 2017-08-04 19:13

Really great game

lerpish 2017-08-04 19:16

JUST IGNORE THIS

wrexialmt 2017-08-05 23:27

Great puzzle game! Holy damn I'm seriously impressed with the fluidity of the game even for someone like me, who sucks at puzzle games!

snotrocket 2017-08-05 23:35

Great puzzles! Wow, what a solid entry for a weekend.

sir-daniev 2017-08-05 23:35

Amazing puzzle game. Really well made. Congrats. :)

togis 2017-08-06 03:07

I uploaded my gameplay of this game on youtube, you can find it here

PS: I saw how to resolve the puzzle as soon as I finished the stream, sorry for that it was simple :p

timbeaudet 2017-08-06 03:22

I played on stream, _(VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/164456874)_ so you were able to watch a lot of thoughts live as I played. However I _**promised**_ I would come back to rate and give feedback. Any questions/comments use [@timbeaudet on twitter](https://www.twitter.com/timbeaudet). And **finally** a link to _my_ game if you wanted to check it out: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/edrive

Feedback:

This was amusing, I had already seen @tsjost play this on his stream so I had an idea to the puzzles, however, some things still caught me out. At first I thought I had to tap arrows to keep moving, vs hold to move. Figured that out eventually. And also I had LOTS of issues picking the gizmo back up after recalling it. Luckily resetting was saved progress, or I wouldn't have been able to finish the game.

The graphics were quite simplistic, but I liked the trapped doors, spikes, gizmo and character - looked quite good. The game was quite a bit more difficult than expected having watched it played. The timer really does get you sometimes.

The length of the game felt just right, as was difficulty curve. Sometimes for puzzles I can really get lost, but it worked. (Maybe watching another play first helped me). The thing to really improve upon would be to make something different for an ending, it was slightly anti-climatic of a finish, though it DID have a finish! Solid entry!

cursetats 2017-08-06 05:17

Its a very very cool game! Puzzles where pretty nicely designed, I loved the gameplay! The graphics, sound, gameplay was awesome Well Done on finishing, Its a polished game

antti-haavikko 2017-08-06 16:38

Cool puzzler. Had a nice amount of content without getting repetitive. It eased into new mechanics very nicely. The difficulty curve was pretty good, had few puzzles where I actually needed to stop and think for a while. The latter half was maybe too easy, just relying too much on time running out and bumping into dangerous things by accident.

The biggest issue for me was that I couldn't recall the gizmo when it was in the charging station. So many times, I left the gizmo there just to go charge and then had to backtrack to move it one space away before getting back to the actual puzzle and recalling there. Seemed like just a waste of time. I would have liked the carrying to be toggle based instead of the needing to hold the button. Could be just a minority opinion though, maybe having this as an option would be cool.

The graphics super nice and clean. Everything was easily recognizable after encountering them once. Music and sounds effects were perfect fit as well. The effects were very good at giving feedback when stuff was happening outside the screen.

antaresvaldemar 2017-08-07 00:32

Super cool game, everything about it is very polished, it looks beautiful, the audio is really appropriate and the mechanic is clever. It was a bit on the easy side, most of the puzzles I got on the first try and the rest on the second try, having said that they did make me think and it was fun. I think it has potential to expand. Amazing work overall!

abductedplatypus 2017-08-07 00:52

The graphics are great, I love the puzzle mechanics alternated with the speed and awareness challenges. Really great. I do feel that the recall mechanic can be abused to make some levels easier, but this fades in later levels. Really great, and one of the best overall games I have seen so far!

adhesion 2017-08-07 01:11

Nice! Clever puzzle design, good use of the theme and good job on gradually introducing the mechanics. Great music too. Controls were a bit awkward at first - would have been nice to move a bit more smoothly, but I realize that might make the puzzle design more complicated. Design-wise, the puzzles started to feel a bit samey around when the teleporters got introduced but got better when the bombs appeared. I would've liked some more advanced mechanics/difficult puzzles, but there's still an impressive amount of content in this game. Great work!

christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2017-08-07 11:45

Oh wow. Super clever puzzle design, amazing controls. How did you have time to make all this?? <3 Extra points for making a lovable character *and* a female robot for a change!! Top marks

budaniel 2017-08-07 18:19

Lots of fun once I figured out how to play. The mechanic was tricky to learn but so satisfying.

tori 2017-08-08 12:50

One of my favorite entry so far ! great ideas, you was able to add multiple puzzle elements, and it all work very well, my only "negative point" is that the puzzle are maybe too easy :D thats not a bad thing, but i hope you'll do a whole game out of this concept, because there is something in this game, that work very very well. Well done !

smokib 2017-08-08 19:30

Love this game! Interesting and challenging puzzles, first time seeing this kinda concept, but im not a big puzzle lover. The only thing it needs is maybe a proper tutorial for slower players. The graphics could be improved also

avon 2017-08-09 00:01

Great game, very polished with good graphics, fitting music and good sound effects. Good difficulty level on the puzzles, you have to think a bit, but its not too hard. Overall I think this is one of the best games I've played so far this LD. My only point of criticism is that I would have preferred if the robot always moved when you pressed an arrow button, instead of having to use a button to turn around.

peachtreeoath 2017-08-09 04:08

Neat puzzle game with a good presentation. The graphics and all the little animations are solid and very polished looking. I think the level progression is pretty on point for an LD game, though I personally would've preferred some more curveball puzzles thrown in.

peter-jonsson 2017-08-09 19:02

An excellent game. Well designed and balanced in difficulty. Keep up the great work!

rialgar 2017-08-10 21:21

I loved it. The bright colors, the happy mood, the clear objective and controls.

The only thing I noticed is that the puzzles where mostly just variations of 'where do I teleport the gizmo too'. This is perfectly fine for a game of this length, but if you plan on building it further, I would love to see variations with more difficult puzzles. Maybe add a barrier that you can only pass while carrying the gizmo.

foodzilla 2017-08-11 04:36

I damn well loved this game. The design and puzzles in it are smart as hell. You really made a perfect puzzler with one simple mechanic, and did great in how you used each one and added new ones as you went.

mrerdalural 2017-08-11 08:51

Very good level design I loved this game! It is perfect! Thank you for making it!

hellodangochan 2017-08-11 15:32

Very nice puzzle game and great level design! The robot was very cute and the style was great~ Very polished and fun to play great job.

klianc09 2017-08-11 15:47

As others said, good puzzle game. Got a bit too easy and reused the same puzzles towards the end. I wish I could recall the thing directly from the charger. But I enjoyed playing it.

randomphantom 2017-08-14 16:56

That was a cool puzzle game! Solid graphics, great BGM, and the buildup in the challenge was steady and the puzzle design was really nice. Seemed to get slightly easier at the later stages though once you get the hang of it.

robotsandmuffins 2017-08-16 08:10

Really simple mechanics although very addicting.Like it so much! Puzzles are really well defined and built. Very good job!

jaimuepe 2017-08-16 20:22

Very cool game! The puzzles were well designed, although they got a little repetitive at the end. Overall it looks very good and polished. Also, it was surprisingly long! Good job guys.

mspawa 2017-08-17 00:29

Nice game! It was easy to understand the rules, it is an interesting gameplay. I like this kind of games so it was fun for me to play it :) Good puzzle game and concept! congratulations

frogcheese 2017-08-21 14:46

Fantastic puzzle game! Great graphics, great sound, cute character and really competent puzzle design. I didn't even notice how much time I spent playing until I finished this. One of my favorites for this jam!
