The game is broken, I get a dark blue screen after I hit play.

djibess 2018-08-13 23:33

Yeah i uploaded a wrong version

bigbosserndog 2018-08-14 00:07

Nice! I the pixel art is cute! The game gets a little repetitive after a bit, but well done. Nice simple game. The eme is well implemented via the cloud's shadow which gets smaller the more the cloud is hit.

Great job, I've really liked the concept and the pixel arts. A reloading a bit faster would have made the experience better though as I was constently waiting in front of the static enemies for enough "ammo" to kill them.

mike-inprinciple 2018-08-14 01:03

Like the animations. Didn't like having to wait a long time to recharge my attacks. The game also has a few bugs that damage its quality, like dying at unexpected times, or being able to shoot and play when you are dead.

larryseinfeld 2018-08-14 01:43

Fun game. Cool concept. I really like the art. Only complaint would be that the fire balls need to recharge a lot faster, but not enough of a problem to weigh the game down a whole lot.

kalcoslinder 2018-08-14 01:45

I would play it if I had windows :(

max6333 2018-08-14 02:06

Love the pixel art. Gameplay is a bit slow, but it fits the theme well.

cranestyle 2018-08-14 02:25

I am the guy who stream went over your game.

Key points:

- I need to feel like I can do something about the projectiles the enemies throw at me, i feel powerless to stop them other than just waiting. A better indication of winding up before a projectile for timing.

- I think the key interaction of dropping the bombs is pretty good, but I think that could be focused on making it more interdating and skillful to do to be more fun.

- You followed the theme pretty well, I think that was clever, I think your art is cute and fits which is nice and a step above. I think if you had paired down your enemies, and really focused on your bomb killing interaction and feedback of dmg, as well as considered what might be things the player WANTS to do that it would have made it a lot more entertaining.

- Adjust the health bar or use some sort of method on the enemies to indicate health, looks to much like something that would block in the environment

Nice job! thanks for stopping by the stream!

bigjigglyproductions 2018-08-14 11:35

The picel art is animated very nicely, the gameplay is to th epoint and fits the theme greatly, overall the key feature is that you can...Turn down the volume...I listen to music all the time so when I have to pause it I get annoyed.

In all seriousness though, great entry, worth checking out.

tozzo4316 2018-08-14 13:40

Nice art and concept, and it respects the theme very well. However, don't know if it's a bug or it's my pc, but the "play again" button didn't work. I enjoyed it though

yohann-geoffroy 2018-08-14 14:42

Very good game. The theme is perfectly intergrated.

baconsenpaii 2018-08-14 16:44

The art is really nice, but the music gets a bit repetitive after a while.

mrsylar59 2018-08-14 18:29

Nice game! I liked the artstyle. The music could use a bit more notes. Also it felt hard to avoid enemies' projectiles as you can't move the cloud out of the way without going all the way back leading in you taking some free hits. Also I was surprised at first when the cloud disapeared. Maybe some visual clues would be nice to know when we only have one HP left. Great job overall.

mobiusdisco 2018-08-14 19:04

This game is wicked fun man, I really hope to see more from you folks!

themonsterfromthedeep 2018-08-14 19:24

Nice game. The art is great; the music is a bit repetitive. It would be nice if there was a way to move the cloud without going all the way to the other side, but when the cloud is smaller it is possible to dodge the enemy bullets, so I guess it isn't super important.

In fact, by the end of the game I had gotten good enough at dodging that it wasn't particularly hard. Perhaps a larger variety of enemies that required slightly different strategies would be good.

In any case, I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. Definitely one of the best games I've played thus far.

nik2434 2018-08-14 19:29

Good Pixelart. It is a good game and a nice idea.I like that the enemy doesn’t hurt you but the cloud

tigerj 2018-08-14 20:44

I felt like I could wait for a long time before needing to run to kill stuff. I felt like I was waiting for ammo a lot and new mechanics were not being added with a ratio that kept me wanting to see what is next. A user watching my stream mentioned it would be great fun if it were two player and someone else could control the cloud. The art is super cute and overall you have a nice game, just reduce the downtime! Here is a link to your segment on my stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297300090?t=03h02m12s

travm 2018-08-14 23:07

Great job! Really enjoyed the art.

rebecca-kremer 2018-08-15 01:11

Hey man! Played your game in my stream last night and while there were some game design troubles (waiting for the bullets to refill) I did enjoy the art style and the cloud friend! A good first jam entry, though!

awix 2018-08-15 07:54

A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)

lumpy 2018-08-17 19:20

Congrats on your first LD! Here's to many more! A fun game with some cute art. My main criticism would be it was tough protecting my giant cloud hitbox, and that the music loop could have been longer. That being said, I liked the enemy types and the progressive difficulty. Good job!

ursagames 2018-08-29 06:07

Very well done for your first LD! I loved the art in this, so adorable! Thanks for sharing the game with my stream awhile back. Your game starts at around 4:30 into the vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036

mrjoshuamclean 2018-09-02 14:32

This is a great start! I think it would be less frustrating if you could control the cloud separately from the player character. Cool artwork. Here's a video of my play and feedback: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/303323176
