This is a great entry for the theme. I played all the way through and enjoyed almost all of it. Taking away vision a couple times after getting it didn't seem to serve much purpose, but I loved gaining all the usual gameplay abilities as I went. Well done.

Jump key press keeps getting eaten. If I had to guess you are listening for getkeydown in fixedupdate instead of update or something

I really like the style, and its quite a long game. The controls feel a bit clunky though.

Increadibly well made game, the game looks very nice and fits the theme very well. I was gonna say that the game really needed some audio but you were one step ahead of me :smile:. It's actually amazing how difficult a game suddenly becomes when one takes away the ability to walk towards a certian direction. Well done on this part.

I really liked the bit where you had to kill yourself to get back up. That was a really clever bit.

The red guys did't add much in my opninion other then just shove you around, I don't know if i missed something but to me they felt quite useless.

There also is a weird bug that prevents me from jumping a lot of times and it really annoyed me sometimes. And in the credits screen the programmers text goed of the screen (hopefully not done by a programmer :laughing:)

Really great job, overall very nice for this theme :thumbsup:!

This is a really nice gamme i like the art. The jump don't work every time but the checkpoints are well placed so it's just funny. Great job

@starvingindie you have to get focus on the menu with mouse then navigate with arrow keys and enter :)

@ayxs Thank you for the awesome feedback! The red guys were added as something that was meant to be a little annoying, i guess it doesn't feel that way. We just left the jump in so we could focus on different aspects, and i just overlooked the text end :D

Very cool, I like the art and unlocking things just to have them taken away. I found the jump a bit hard in some spots I would jump but id just continu into the spikes.

all in all its great nicly done.

I enjoyed the vibe of the game. The music and the sprites were fun. I didn't really like the feel of the fan. It just felt too strong and frustrated me. Once I got all the controls and past that one section where you only move right I enjoyed the feel of the game!

Love this. Has a really nice level of progression. Although the start menu was a little frustrating to get past, otherwise great job! Fits the theme really well. :thumbsup:

I quite liked the dithering effect the terrain had. I think there is an issue with the character controller or collider as hitting walls causes some strange effects and not landing squarely on a platform causes the character to do a little jig and ignore the jump button...

Wow, you've done a ton of reviews and it's only day 1, love the dedication!

Funnily enough I just tried a similar LD game before arriving here, so it's interesting to see the contrasts in design. You're the first one of seen of this genre where you actually take away abilities, that's very unique. Aside from taking away vision you lock up controls differently at parts and forces the player to change up their mindset. Speaking of vision, I liked that you took away vision, but gave it back in the form of fireballs so there was always a way to pull it off. In general I like that you played w turning on and off mechanics and forcing players to use what else is in their toolbox to solve their problems. This game has a decent amount of breadth for the timeframe, so all in all great job to the team.

I think that we used the mechanics good, but there was some space for more, like taking away the jump, we had a way to do it but i couldn't find a way to design the level around it!

I love where you took the theme for this!

It's aesthetically very nice, and the execution of gameplay elements reminded me of DLC Quest a little bit, except that you got your abilities as you played. Unlocking the audio was a pleasant surprise, and I really liked how the game made you change up how you played by taking away abilities or changing movement. The 'fans' did get a little frustrating at times, so did the jump, but the rest of it was good enough that it didn't really bother me at all.

Really great little game overall. You've certainly got a lot going here!

Had fun playing this! I liked how you were getting your abilities taken just as often as you were getting them. It did feel a bit confusing sometimes to know what you actually have on as sometimes you are just flooded with abilities being given and taken in a short lapse of time, or in a scripted scenario such as the wind push.

I enjoyed the game overall, the jump button is incredibly frustrating though. You don't know when you can jump again and I found myself sitting at the edge of platforms waiting. Graphics are nice and the idea is good. Well done

Once I figured out I had to use the arrow keys and not WASD to get past the menu, I really enjoyed going through this one. The collisions and jump seemed a little janky, but it'd be a little unfair to all the other submissions if there weren't any problems.

One question, is it intentional that I'm able to jump my way out of this hole? Jump.PNG I couldn't do it consistently, but I managed to do it at least 3 times. It never happened as my first jump, so it might have been because of getting collided out of the ground or something?

@mathemagician Our collisions are bad we know that. It's bad because there was no time so we did it to it work. You cannot jump out this hole, only way to get out it's die by that spike.

I like the game, but it doesn't really seem to go anywhere... It would be nice if there was some goal pushing the player forwards. I do like how mechanics are removed as well as added, that's not something I see very often in these games!
