Absolutely wonderful! Funny and smart. Radio is AWESOME! Excellent work.
@t1a2z Thank you so much for those kind words! :)
It's actually a very polished game. I had fun playing with it and listening to the radio, I stood for like 2 minutes just to listen to it XD
Great job !
@Kanonix Thank you very much! I see more people are enjoying the radio then I anticipated :P
Popping in as a mac tester - It does run! I did find that I couldn't figure out how to put down the stapler, and then when I clicked the stapler enough it started shooting out bottles of soda and ice cream cones. So... I don't know how far I can get into the game but I absolutely LOVE the humor and the setting and the music. So impressed, I wish I could get it to work better!
I love this kind of feel, especially the radio, but in Mac version the mouse is too sensitive.
@kristinamay Thank you very much for that feedback! Yes shooting random items is uh.. intentional let's say. But the drop button is T for throw and G for... uh drop! It doesn't say that ANYWHERE in the game so.. thats my fault I did have it writen on this post but I really should have expected people not to read that (I only glance at them from my experience). So uh aside from my failure to present basic controls in a game thank you very much for that :D
@polyethyleneglykol I actually was able to play through it anyway - I found that when I switch locations it automatically drops items. Which is good, because I carried that donut around for WAY too long. THIS WAS SO COOL, I love detective games and mysteries and point-and-clicks, and I'm so amazed that you made this in two days. Definitely my favorite LD game I've played.
@zc74560 There is a mouse sens slider next to the mouse in the office, but thanks for the kind words! :)
@kristinamay Aw thank you! that really means alot to me! :) Technically I did it in 3 days it was a jam game after all. I did not expect anyone but me to like it as it is very niche :D
My favorite game so far, there's so many creative implementations in the game(like the UI).And btw I love detective games :D
@zsolt Thank you so much! I'm glad love for detective games aren't dead just yet! :D
I think I too have to mention the radio :D A great idea. I also spent way to much time shooting staples  the interaction system and the map on the door was cool. The mouse was a bit tricky for me but it helped when I found the sensitivity slider. Very nice!
@barracudadisaster Yes seems like the things I added to just waste time.. did just that! So.. it's a success? :D Thank you so much for the kind words and yes the sensitivity is very oddly placed :D I Didnt want to add it in the option menu as people cant look around to test it immediately, still i put it in a very odd place :D
I went to staple the window (as you do), but staples soon turned to other objects. That probably made me laugh more than it had any right to (also the radio, which I listened to far too long, optimistically optimistic, trying to figure out if this stapler thing is the actual gameplay or a bug... :) )
Other than that, having a lot of fun with this one. Love the music, and the radio, and the story. All around really good
@polyethyleneglykol yes a success indeed! I love to waste my time in games with that kind of random stuff :D And yep it's good that it's in the game world, sits well with the game, and it didn't really take me much time to find it so it's way more innovative than a "classic" menu. Good luck!
This is your _first_ game?! I'm jealous. This game was awesome! It was slightly underwhelming when you basically handed me the solution in 1 email at the end, but apart from that, it was cool as heck yo. Congratz on an insanely great first game :).
@hjalte Thanks you so much! And yes having i was far to scared to add more content and have people not find it! I'm very unsure how long people actually play these kinds of games for :D But thanks for those kind words really means alot :D
This game is my favorite of the Jam , the music was awesome , the gameplay is very great Including the setting in the office was a great move , the only bad thing i got while playing is a strange bug when i was holding the paper clipper and the phone at the same time , that was funny great game , i hope you will continue long after the jam.
Thank you so much @retrobarbare! (Great Name Btw) Yes that's a bug, the numbers do appear afterwards on the Whiteboard for reference so I hope it wasn't to big of a roadblock :D
Linux build worked well, thanks! One of the biggest entries with the most features and polish that I have seen. Very, very good job!
Loved it, I listened to whole radio broadcast. You should have expected that :D But it really worked well. I took me some time to get what I was supposed to do, but was understandable in the end. Still kind of bummed out for missing the dragon fight tho.
@iconocatstudio Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad to see linux build works!
@kuro Don't worry the "EASY SKIP TO DRAGON FIGHT DLC" Will be out for 25$ in about a month or so, Or the season pass for 50$. :P
Amazing game! Also: Capture.PNG
@davidvandeloo Haha well done! Looks like you did it without the staple gun? If so you have much more patience then I do :D
@polyethyleneglykol Yeah, just by spamming F and T.
Awesome game! Hard to believe this is your first. Thanks for letting me play on stream! :D
@davidvandeloo That is mighty impressive :D
@joe-williamson Buying/Download all the art assets helped me alot :P Giving me more time to lurk in stack-overflow and youtube tutorials :D
Wow! This was great! Love the mood and the models. The radio is also great. I couldn't stop stapling!
@starvingindie Thanks! I didn't do the models though they are from the Asset Store, soo I can take 2/3rds of that compliment is that how it works? :D Glad you liked the Stapler, definitely the most satisfying part of my game I feel like. That's why its everywhere even in the credits :)
One of the best games in the jam. Love how you work with UI, everything is top notch! love it
Ha awesome, great job
mac user here. I had a lot of fun! but I did find how to put down the stapler. The radio is fantastic! Great job!
@kenarf Thank you so much for the kind comment :) Yeah the UI started out as me not being able to make a more traditional hud work in Unity and then It kind of became the main focus of the Interaction System, one if not the only perks of never having made a game before I guess. Glad you enjoyed it :)
@radgegames Thank you! Great Comment! :D
Great Game, it`s amazing that this is a gamejam game, had a lot of fun with it. It`s sad that once I got back to the office I couldn`t travel to the motel anymore to check that one clue, maybe it was a bug? Great Game
@n3bul0sa I'm glad Unity just effortlessly exported it to Mac and Linux just fine, as I can't test it myself. Thanks for reporting in and telling me! And your kind words are also greatly appreciated of-course :)
@susumu-asaga Yeah I didn't figure out how to travel between scenes holding a Object in time so that got cut, I should have made the E-mail more clearly state that you get the clue on the whiteboard anyway! So it's not a bug just me being incompetent! Thank you so much for playing it! :)
WOW! That was REALLY good! I love it :) Everything about this little game is so catchy, I think you really could make one big thing out of this, I can see it.
Good job! to do this much in only 48 hours is a mystery to me, however, the fact remains that you have the time managment skills of whatever you believe in
Great game considering the amount of time you had. I just wished for sound effects XD
@daria-toni Thank you for the kind comment! I learnt alot and had alot of fun making it glad to see others enjoy it :)
@nachtwitch Thanks! I did have 72 as this is a Jam entry but I'd be lying that I spend to much time making and less time sleeping, as I think my grammar and lack of cohesion in the story shows :)
@shenawy Yeah I recorded the Street and door sound and that was enough time spend outside and just recording sounds in general, thanks for the kind words :)
Greatjob with this game!!!! everything sounds amazing (except the music ç-ç) A lot of fun playing this.
@danielmotta I was never known to be a musician, I went the route of better add music anyway and give the player a way to mute it. So you know you get the best of both worlds :P
I Cheated 420 ..LOL! Amazing work though.
@karanveer Thanks, his perseverance amazed me. It was expected people use the stapler to cheat not just the T & F keys :)
MAN! Definitely the best games I've played so far! The atmosphere feels like a full time game, not a jam entry. The radio in the office is so well done, sounds like a true radio news. But when my balls dropped was the part when you arrived to the crime scene and the Jazzy music started playing. Amazing entry. P.S.: I used the right ALT ;) (not sure if easter egg or some kind of feature left from testing phase, funny nevertheless, haha!)
This was pretty cool! Really nice environments and a decent amount of features for a game made in such a short amount of time! I did have some issue with how case-sensitive the game was during the browser segments. And I would've maybe liked for the mystery to have been more engaging. Still, given everything else the game has going on, it was perfectly workable and showed off the game's features.
Great job!
This was your first game!? This LD was my 22nd and all I made was a crappy platformer! This was an amazing and wonderful game to play. I hope you enter more LDs and I look forward to playing your games!
@iluvatar Thank you so much! The Jazz music was very difficult for me to create, alot of speeding and pitching midi instruments and loops to get as right as i could manage it to get, I'm glad atleast someone liked it! And yes Unity assigns some buttons automatically such as the fire & movement keys, but since it doesn't conflict with anything I just left it as is :)
@DWaM I did add quite a few variations to most of the search terms just in case, but its hard to predict every possible combination, definitely something I want to look into on how I could improve it, Thank you so much for your kind comment!
@kunonooni Yes technically it is, Last week on Moday I did start to prepare for ludum dare by following a bunch of youtube tutorials in Unity so I don't go in completely blind, and I do feel like in this weekend I learnt so much more then in the week leading up to it which was great! And hey nothing wrong with platformers it just takes a little bit of innovation to make them stand out as something spectacular! (i.e Gunpoint) I just wish I had the artistic competence to do 2D art at all :D. Anyway thank you very much for your comment and I do hope to participate in every ludum dare from now on :)
HHEELLPP my stapler fires icecream! Every time I click on the computer... ICECREAM.
Awesome game tho, I really loved the humour
Interesting game, but I struggled with mouse sensitivity. I included it in my Ludum Dare 45 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/r6FwX_V0zMo
@justcamh Thank you very much, I'm glad somepeople enjoyed the humor!:)
@jupiter-hadley Thanks for playing it on the video! Even if it was only the start of the game, I still appreciate it ^^ You still have to play alot of games afterall :)
Very impressive entry indeed! Quite a feat to have done that in such a short time.
Some remarks:
- I understand the gimmick of putting the mouse sensitivity on the "real" mouse. But, it should also be in the menu option I think :) - Some actions lacks feedback. For example, when a new piece of information is added to the board, the game should tell you.
Otherwise, awesome job!
@corentin-benoit-gonin Thank you! Yeah the mouse sens was me panicking and having to add that last second ^^ And yes I struggled with feedback quite a bit. Thank you for your feedback!
sound effects here are soo good ... the interfaces in the computer and the all squared objects like the mouse adds to the comedy effect ... I agree on that there could be more feedback on actions, but hard thing to achieve on a LDjam, if you add those perhaps this can became a very interesting title
@velvetlobster I had a great time making the sound effects, even though recording the street was painfully boring! Glad you enjoyed them! Thank you very much for the feedback! :)
You probably should disclose that the models are made by Synty Studios. I didn't participate in the jam, so I can't see your rating categories. However, the rules state that you should opt out of the respected voting categories for which you're using previously created assets.
@mika-la-grand I've opted out of the respected categories, and put it in the credits that the 3D models aren't created by me AND replied to anyone still confused (Or who just complimented me on my 3D modelling) That in fact the models are not by me. Soo yeah. I'm definitely not trying to deceive anyone here. I'm just really confused why you decided to comment that.. but thanks? I guess?
@polyethyleneglykol I made the comment, because it's not mentioned on the Ludum Dare page. Most people will never look at the credits.
@mika-la-grand Most people don't look at the submission page either, but its good to know why you made that comment! Cheers! :)
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!
