Super nice concept, picked up gameplay immediately. This would be a fun smartphone game to kill time. Great job!

Nice game, really simple but great concept!

edz123 2020-04-20 18:50

gameplay is simple, intuitive, and fun. Great job!

It was easy to understand how to do stuff but I don't really know the effects of what I did. I missed the audio. I would like to see some negative effects. Maybe you'll get sick of too much pizza. Nice work!

Fun little game, some music would have been great though for a party game :balloon:

Nice take on the theme, I won at first try with a score of 279. It gets really overwhelming when you have a lot of guests :) Good job !

Great fun! As other people mentioned, this would make a nice mobile game.

Ideas: more ways to entertain (of course), attractors that help control where people gather.

Will checkout the source code as I'm curious about Lua & Love.

I wasn't quite sure how the bars above the guests affected my overall Enthusiasm, but the rest of the design was clean and clear. Very easy game to pick up. Made it to the end just in time, enthusiasm was red and low but just pulled it off! My final score was 226. Good job!

interesting execution of mechanics, i was expecting a kind of idle game when i saw the screenshot. well done, good effort!

I like this. It has a different concept from the other games I have played so far and that's really a plus. Most of the games have the same core logic, but this one is different. Enjoyed it while it lasted. But the game ended really fast.

Thanks everyone for the comments! There are some good suggestions here that I didn't think of

305 here, my ultimate strat was to keep the party barely alive with pizza, then blare everyone with stereos during the last 10 seconds to get that enthusiasm up. I bet there's other good strats too, I had a lot of fun trying different things and seeing what works and what doesn't. I also want to praise the controls, I loved how using the 1-4 keys I could focus on the game at all times. Very cool game, great job!

Got a score of 231. I think nobody left the party, but it was pretty rough towards the end :) There must have been lying quite a bunch of empty pizza boxes around...

Fun concept, kinda similar to our entry, great job. I would enjoy some sound effects on this one.

historymaker118 2020-04-21 09:25

I managed to throw a successful pizza party, even if it did take me a few too many seconds to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. This game was pretty neat, a nice take on the theme I hadn't thought of, and a well executed concept that hasn't tried to over complicate the mechanics as too often I see done. It really would have benefited from some music and sound effects to help with the 'party atmosphere' but I know it's not always possible to have the time in a weekend jam. Still when your theme is a party, perhaps putting a little time aside for adding music should be something you consider. Other than that, a good entry, thanks for sharing!

Great game, loved the take on the theme, and you implemented it well. Had fun playing it!

grunlack 2020-04-21 16:18

although I didn't understand right away this game is very nice and quite innovative. Well done !!!!

alexander-crane 2020-04-21 17:58

Hey, twinsies! We had the same idea for our games, meter and all ;) I really like your version of it, with areas of effect forcing you to maximize happiness among the most people. I lost, but I'll keep trying to win it. A very innovative idea!

shaolin-dave 2020-04-21 20:34

Total score +282, is that good? Finally a game that isn't literally keeping a creature or a fire alive, first "party" game i've seen so that's definitely innovative. Sound would have been helpful, just some murmuring to signify chatting and sound from the stereo would have been great.

alphaq 2020-04-22 00:32

Final score of +358 :sunglasses: Nice concept with the area of affect and cost! Sound would definitely make this even more enjoyable. But I still had lots of fun!

slotha 2020-04-23 01:57

I like the idea, i think its one of the better 'keep the party alive' games I've seen, sound would definitely help it too. Great work!

chuchuw 2020-04-23 09:52

Nice idea, I would never have thought of that ^^

Clever take on the theme. There's so much pressure to make a party successful. :) I liked the way you implemented the mechanics in this.
