@rjwest07 @dry-squid Thank you for playing our game and thank you for the comments!
Being able to fly was a bug. I was able to fix it 20 minutes before the deadline (it was just a boolean not being changed), but it looks like I forgot to update the .zip upload to the correct final version after that, which should now be fixed on the itch.io page. You can launch the fire minion to press the button as well, though aiming it ended up more difficult than we wanted since it is larger (sorry about that!).
Sorry! The game was finished but the unreal project wouldn't finish publishing in time for the deadline. I haven't had time to go back and try again since then.
This is hilarious. I love the the sounds and atmosphere especially.
I love the visuals! And movement was fluid and fun. Playing on keyboard I'm not sure if I could always toggle between punching and using collectibles, maybe I was just doing it wrong ;) I could definitely see this being developed further, and I hope you do!
Thanks for your comments everyone!
@triplefox Playing as the Temptris is a good idea, maybe for the sequel! A final boss was definitely in the works, but we had to adjust scope due to time. A full game would definitely have that. I have fixed the installer issue, thank you for pointing that out :)
Awesome! I love the sentient food, and the gameplay concept was really interesting and engaging. I didn't quite understand if there was a win condition, but I want to see what there is when you get really deep down!
Awesome! It makes me want to come back and see what I can build next time with more resources
Really impressive for the amount of time! Great job!
Really unique concept! I liked it a lot. Sometimes I ended up in an unwinnable state, but with some refinement this could be a really excellent full game.
Hilarious idea behind this one! Everything came together really well and I had a lot of fun. Controls are really tight.
Really fun, and I love the effects. Multiple difficulties is an extra bonus that really adds to the game. I can see myself playing this over and over again (and I did). When you die and the ship spins, your next playthrough maintains whatever orientation it landed on, which can make it hard to see. As far as the theme is concerned, this really made me think of white blood cells traveling through veins!
Hey, twinsies! We had the same idea for our games ;) I really liked the graphics and music. Minigames to fix problems was also a really good idea! I think it would be helpful if there was some kind of indicator that pointed you in the direction of the current problems. Overall really fun!
Hey, we had almost the exact same ideas! Haha I really liked your interpretation of the idea. The ability to throw items is something I hadn't thought of. I think the game should have an end state, like reaching 0 (I played until I was at -1300). The props you made were also really good.
Really great idea! And incredibly difficult. I'll have to keep trying this until I can beat it, which may take a while. But the overall gameplay loop is intense and fun, and the novel idea of having to charge your phone to keep going is a really good one. I would suggest that when your battery dies, either having the "game over" happen then, or give the player more of an ability to recover. The music and art is excellent. Overall, I really enjoyed playing.
I really like the concept of a tower defense where you still have a character that has to move around and collect resources. The use of petals to display life was really clever as well!
Note: The UI scaling issue is actively being fixed, stay tuned! Source code coming soon as well.
@nick0124-creator Vertical camera is less a design choice and more an issue from working with quaternions. I tried to fix it but ran out of time, though if you use a controller it's not inverted. It wasn't intentional, but I don't think "awful decision" (or "awful design"?) is fair since many players prefer inverted (myself included).
@tatetate The sensitivity has been fixed since you played it last (I hope)- I added detection for controller input vs mouse input right before the deadline :)
@jonhthehutt Thank you! I wish I could take credit for the models, but I think so too.
@tuesi Thank you, I'm glad you found the banana!
@dry-squid I'm glad you liked the atmosphere, that's what I was focusing the most on. The frantic feeling of being a party host.
@starlet Yeah, sorry about that! And thank you!
@ctrble Is it a lady you can see in one of the pictures? Some of their hitboxes may be off so I might be able to fix that.
@rey Thank you, I'm glad you liked the mood!
@sarasm I'm glad you found the costume :D
@thedouche I'm sorry you felt that way, what felt janky about it? Any constructive comments?
@filip-bergkvist Thank you! There were a few more things to do to liven up the party - you could bounce on the couch, and dance on the table with the other person. Doing these three things makes beating it easier if you are quick about it. My original intent was to make this have an active ragdoll and janky physics like Gang Beasts/Human Fall Flat, but that proved to be very challenging with the timeframe. And the technical issues you mentioned definitely need fixing, they just went on the backburner in favor of finishing the core mechanics.
@laura-del-pino Hi Laura, you can help the people by going to the microwave or fridge in the kitchen and grabbing them a beer or pizza :)
@aguahervida I definitely agree, it's hard to tell the boundaries between walls like this. If I were to do a full release I would address that for sure. And thank you!
The visual style is something I really liked, and the audio added a lot to the ambiance. 10/10 feel points. Is there a way to win the game? I was able to get all three parts and bring them to the cave, and received some unique audio, but nothing after that. Also, I really liked having to pay attention to the bunnies' life meters while playing, it really kept me on my toes.
Won very quickly without even hitting the opponent's car (he got caught in traffic), and the controls were kind of tricky with the camera. I do like the idea of trying to keep the ambulance alive. Additional gameplay like powerups or something would be good, it's pretty barebones as of now.
Hey, we had similar ideas! Minus the vampire part haha. The art and animations were excellent, and I loved the background crowd. It was hard to know what to do, though, so I second the video idea - or just more of an explanation.
Hey, twinsies! We had the same idea for our games! I liked the character sprites. The idea is also good, but I had trouble figuring out what to do. I couldn't get the meter to grow. Still, great effort!
Hey, twinsies! We had the same idea for our games, meter and all ;) I really like your version of it, with areas of effect forcing you to maximize happiness among the most people. I lost, but I'll keep trying to win it. A very innovative idea!
