Cool sword controls, would be greatif swinging made any damage by itself? You managed to put a lot into the game, would like to see it polished up a bit!
I liked the sword control, but I wasn't always aware if the collision was big enough to hit the slimes, and I liked the idea with different boosts.
ps. you can abuse the Shrine and choose upgrades many times
Hey, nice and fun animations  The concept is really nice! The sword attack was a little odd to use, maybe just slashing the slimes by rotating your arm like a ragdoll could be fun. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Sometimes I died without really knowing why, then I read your "Red slime" description... I think I understand now! Overall nice game
Animations were funny as promised! :) Seriously though, when the game first loaded I audibly said "oh cool!" I love unique player sprites. I also found myself saying "stab stab stab" every time I attacked a slime  Particle effects were a nice touch. Great application of the theme - the buffs are a neat idea. The only suggestion I have is the enemies could use some sort of satisfying death feedback - more of those particle effects or a squish sound effect. Anyway, great job!
Nice entry - fun take on the theme, funny animations, overall great concept:)
Very cool game it remind me **the horde** a classic (3do,dos,saturn) game. I've 2 complain, the **follow of the camera**, is too slow for this action game, the animation of the character is good but can be **imprecise**. Otherway that's a good job and that can be easily improve into a full game. PS:**MINIMAP is VERY GOOD !!!!**
Cute game - I liked the derpy sword angles! It was a little hard to figure out what the locations did (without reading your description above). Not having a mouse cursor (in WebGL) made it more difficult - it'd be good to see the cursor to know how far to move to rotate the sword. Nice work putting this together in 48 hours.
Fun gameplay and solid sound effects. My mouse keeps going outside of the viewport which made it more difficult though.
I didn't understand why a warrior turned into a building, then I read the instructions. :D
- Cool pixel art! Really.
- Please don't hide the mouse if you're not locking it to the center of the screen, it makes it really hard to guess where it is! :(
- We should 100% be able to damage slimes by swinging the mouse, because it looks cool. It would make the hitboxes easier to understand too, since there's a clear red line.
- Slimes should blink or turn red for a short while when they are hit, so we know which one we hit.
- We also need ranged attacks! Getting close to the enemies is a guaranted death sometimes!
- 10 seconds is a very short time, we can't really move from a place to another without them swapping first, so we're better off waiting at the same place the entire game. Yeah, I know, that's the theme, but still!
- Speed, attack and health bonuses are cool, but the score bonus is pretty useless. Who wants a bonus that doesn't increase the fun but just a number at the end!? (Also, please don't give me the choice between 0-2 health and 1-2 health :|)
- The nothing bonus is however very important, please keep it.
Overall, a pretty cool start mostly missing quality of life things, which is normal of a jam. :D
Challenging but great art and sound!.
I really liked the art, and the whole sword position thing was a pretty interesting way of doing the whole attack direction thing. My biggest complaint then would be how far the camera can lag behind the player. Especially considering the attack direction relative to the player is relying on that. So I think speeding up the camera would definitely remove some chunkiness. Regardless really cool game!
Art is nice, and animation is fun!
Particles are really cool, but more feedback like changing the sprite color would make it more clear when dealing/taking damage
Following camera is a bit too slow, at some point you can't anticipate slimes coming at you. It's not clear that you don't deal damage without clicking as there is a red line. And maybe you should as spamming the click button to attack is not really interesting.
And small bug : the number of survived waves is not reset when dying.
Nice looking slimes! I tried playing the WebGL version over on itch.io, but ran into some trouble - it seems it hides the mouse cursor, but doesn't lock it to the screen, so I kept clicking off of the game (when in fullscreen, either clicking on a second monitor, or clicking the browsers "exit fullscreen" X button), which made it really hard to play. Cool idea though, and lots of different and interesting powerups =).
I'd call it swordick.
