This is a really cool idea and was very well executed.

This is a really cool idea and was very well executed.
Dinosaur punching. I'm not sure what else to say.
The tilting view did make it difficult in some places, but it was fun.
Good start to a game, the controls need work.
It was fun once I got the hang of it, but the controls aren't very intuitive.
The jump and deflect buttons seem to be switched and it might be cool if the deflected projectiles could be used against the robots that are shooting you. Really fun, though, I liked it!
A lot of fun and clever. The tutorial is awful, but once you figure out the mechanics, you will be pulled right in.
Really fun, once I got the hang of it!
Fun idea, but the controls being so slippery were a problem. I would love to finish this game, but I couldn't get passed the one lava part with the clouds.
Interesting but not enough meat to really get into the game.
Very funny. The tutorial was good. Liked the duck. The player gets stuck/doesn't move as expected for no apparent reason. Really good for 24 hours!
This is a really fun game, very innovative. I wanted to keep playing it.
It's a bit hard, I couldn't get past the cannon, but overall I think it's a good start.
Got an error, couldn't play.
Error message:
There should be 'The Heartbeast_Data' folder next to the executable
This was a funny game. I had to look up the Glass-Steagall Act after I finished the quiz, so it got me to learn something!
So, puzzle games are not quite my thing, so that affects my view. The game was a good coherent whole. Each part worked well and as intended, I think. More importantly, the parts worked well together. All that being said, it is hard, and not just because you are doing two things at once, nor the speed. Every time you lose, the shapes change, as do their key assignment.
I like the style of this game, that really stood out. It was difficult to tell where you were going sometimes, especially when you where going down. Neat game!
The story was intriguing, I wasn't able to really play though because I didn't have any gold. It's a good start!
Very cute game! Good job! It would have helped to know that there was a double jump and the slime king at the end having the ability to fire at you was kind of a surprise, since no other character could fire at you. Otherwise, I liked the color coded enemies with different behavoirs and the overall look of the game.
I like the look of this, even though it seems that this game can be played.
Fun game! You're right about the hit boxes, they were a bit funky, but not too bad. The sound effects need some variety, but I'm glad there was any sort of sound. Music would be nice too.
My biggest complaint was not knowing when to back off of enemies as they were about to attack. Some sort of indication of imminent attack would have given a good back and forth in combat.
Fun game, even if it isn't what I usually play. The graphics were pretty. The gameplay was easy to understand once I started playing.
I think I accidently demolished part of the ship, but I'm not sure what happened. It wasn't clear to me what happened. The numbers were hard to read, but that may have been because I was playing it as windowed, rather that full screen.
I do think giving the crew names would be a nice touch for future versions. :D
Good job!
Cool idea for a platformer, I really like your approach. I didn't mind waiting to see if there was a solution that would present itself. The music was tad on the repetitive side, but otherwise good job!
First of all, good job on doing a compo! The artwork and sound effects were cute, but suddenly having to kill one of the humans was a bit off-putting and came out of nowhere. Also, the fire-starting respawn, while interesting did not always display, sometimes the screen was just white.
I couldn't get passed the yellow pipes either, the jumps needs to be larger or maybe add double jump? The graphics and sound were nice, although the music got a bit repetitive.
The game had some cool ideas, but they conflicted with each other. The short turn duration combined with the multiple steps required to take an action made this hard to play. Also, requiring that the player select a character also made things made it difficult if the characters were overlapping. I do appreciate that complexity of the mechanics and I actually liked the part where your characters get tossed around. Good job doing this in such a short time!
This was a fun game and surprisingly polished for a compo entry. The music was thematic and the sound effects were good. The snow effect in the background also was an excellent visual effect that added both to the theme and sense of speed. Controls were responsive and intuitive.
Like the idea with the cellphone as the flashlight and as a sort of timer. The atmosphere was good and the game conveyed a feeling of being trapped in a dark maze very well. It might have helped to have some variation in the walls.
Really good! I liked the game mechanics and how you did the animation for going back to a save point. Cool game, good job!
I enjoyed this game overall, the visuals were very pretty and the game mechanics were generally fun. The music was good. The feedback for the loss of health was a bit ambiguous and a bit punitive, since it made it much harder to play when I lost visibility. I did like the approach to scoring, I haven't come across a game that took away your score when you died before.
This was a surprisingly fun game for something so realistic. Losing my job on the third day sucked, but I'll go back to being a simple office clerk. :)
I couldn't really play this, it was way too jumpy. Also, the mouse movement didn't allow for up and down, which was a bit odd. Also, it might have been nice to click through the intro portion.
This was an okay game, but it was so close to being an awesome game. The graphics were fun and well used. The sounds were also fun as was the music. The basic game mechanics were well executed.
The problem was the awkward and confusing controls. To get a weapon to an ally you have to 1) mine with left mouse, 2) pick up ore with right mouse, 3) walk ore to the smelter or throw ore with right mouse, 4)pick up metal with right mouse, 5) set the correct number with left mouse, 6) forge with space, 7) pick up the item with right mouse, and 8) bring the item to an ally.
The number of steps is fine! The problem is having to switch back and forth between the mouse buttons. I don't think it added anything and really only got in the way. Making everything use the same mouse button, or make certain actions happen automatically would have gone a long way to making the game a ton of fun.
I liked this game. The monster made of blades and nightmares was fun and scary. The game music was excellent and thematic. The controls were a little difficult, but they didn't prevent me from enjoying the game.
This game looked and sounded really good. I generally liked it, however there were some things that made the game a bit more difficult than necessary. A death animation would help, quite a few of the times I died because I had died and respawned before I could react to my first death. Some of the obstacles were introduced a bit abruptly and the spikes were not easy to see. The last level was a bit overloaded with obstacles, especially that middle platform.
Overall, good job!
Cool game, the controls were awkward. It would be easier if you could select the mirrors by clicking on the beams or you could see which mirror was selected. Other than that the game was really fun and I like the humor.
The game was fun and easy to pick up. Only suggestion I that have is that having the lights blink might make it easier. Good job overall!
Difficult to download from Gamejolt (download never actually worked). The game itself was fun. The music was good and thematic. The graphics were fun. The level design was also good, with plenty of cover. Having to aim to fire, which lowered your speed, was an interesting mechanic. It worked when there was one or two enemies, but became almost impossible with more. I ended up just running around to the end. It worked!
This is an awesome game, please let us know where you end up posting this game! I had trouble with the physics, but I would love to see your progress.
You shoot hippies with a cannon. The game is simple but feels complete. It was hard to shoot the targets more than half a screen away.
This game is a mixed bag. The graphics are great and this had a good design. The game controls, however, are not great. You have to click on enemies, but it doesn't always work. Clicking on enemies also makes you move in that direction. Since movement is not graceful, moving while clicking enemies is a problem. I felt like I was fighting the game the entire time.
Great job! I really enjoyed this game, the only issue I had is that it would have helped to have some idea which mirror was currently selected. I really liked the pacing, which allowed for coming up with a strategy and adjusting as needed.
I liked it. The visuals were fantastic. The art was very reminiscent of Samurai Jack, and well executed. The sound effects were great too. The music was a little repetitive. Overall, I enjoyed the game so much, I played it twice.
This game has potential but falls short. Fortunately, a few bug fixes and this probably could be fun. First, there was no music or sound effects, but our game didn't either, so don't feel too bad. The biggest issue was that it seemed like the whirlpools were bugged. The whirpools are one of two hazards. The whirlpool graphic comes and goes, but it is constantly dangerous. This prevented you from progressing very far as the only sea channel big enough to pass through you has a whirlpool blocking the entire path.
The other issue is the hit boxes/colliders for everything. They were too big. In particular, the ship collider was a box that covered the entire ship, including the sails. It would be nice if the ship collider was only the ship portion.
As for the main gimmick of using the map to navigate, it seemed unnecessary since I always knew which way to go. If there was a way to change the main maps orientation, you could force the player to refer to the star map to navigate.
I was not a fan of the controls and it wasn't clear what the rate of food use was. Otherwise, it is a good start! Good job on doing a compo entry on the first try!
Nice game, guys!
I liked the way this game looked and the variation in boss behaviors. The aiming was really hard to use and the jumping was a bit awkward. I kept overshooting the platforms in the last level. I actually really liked the death animation. Really cool game overall, especially as a compo. Good job!
Good start, but I got stuck when I attacked a planet and only had fighters left. I like the ideas used in this.
Still needs some work, but really good game. I got used the controls, but I sometimes got caught in the objects I built which was a problem. I really like this, though.
Great story and the art is amazing. It was a little hard to figure out where I was supposed to go and it seemed like I could wander off the screen entirely in some places, but otherwise really good.
This is fun, if a bit frustrating to control. I liked the way the rocket was destroyed when I crashed and I liked the general look of the game, too. It might have been a bit more fun if I could control the turning more easily and there were more fuel cells. Good job overall.
Good job doing a Compo! It was a little hard to figure out the controls because it's displayed as a grid and the keys aren't really in a grid pattern. I really like the music and the visuals!
Getting long enough to thread through yourself is a bit harder if the first set of orbs are near the edges of screen. It might help if a few of the orbs were set to spawn closer to the center, at least to start with. Otherwise, it is a fun game and does seem like a dance when you get going.
This was fun! I really liked playing it, some of it was a little repetitive since the same things kept coming back but this was really fun to play.
It's funny, and the graphics and audio work very well.
You definitely have to play it in full screen. You kind of have to explore what you can do with this game by clicking everything. The rate of energy loss seems a bit unforgiving, I wasn't able to get very far. I do like the idea and catching the scrap was fun. The music was atmospheric and I like the art style.
Great graphics and I like the take on running out of power. I kept running into newly spawned enemies, which could spawn almost on top of you if you are moving. It would help if there was a radius around you in which enemies could not spawn. Overall really good!
I loved the art and the music. The controls are tricky, but I like the idea a lot. We played your game on our Twitch stream. There will be a video of it posted on our Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW4XMpP2tKwBCS5NEgPGbhA?
Thanks for the feedback! I added a cover image, but it's not displaying for some reason.
Thank you for the feedback! We do need to work on some of the rough edges. You are right @scowling-pastry, the bow and beaker are more or less working as designed.
This was fun to play! I really like the interface!
Fun game, I actually liked that it wasn't entirely clear what you were supposed to do initially and that the food pretty much tried to jump into your mouth. I really got into playing it!
Thanks for submitting your game to the TVGS stream! I enjoyed playing it very much!
This was fun! It would have been good if it could be set to full screen, but lots of fun! We played this on our Twitch stream, we will be posting it on our Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW4XMpP2tKwBCS5NEgPGbhA?
I am so frustrated with the characters, but in a good way. Nice job!
It did not seem to lag on my computer. This is a simple game, I like the idea. The flower animation was really cool!
We played your game on our Twitch stream, we will post the video on our Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW4XMpP2tKwBCS5NEgPGbhA?
Awesome graphics! Also it a simple game, but it fits the theme and it is very fun to play!
Very good game. I liked how you implemented being impaired and being unable to make good decisions while you were driving.
We fixed the game breaking bugs and added a new version (1.1) and a Change Log to the site. Thanks, @omiya-games !
I liked this game, it is a good interpretation of the theme.
Cute game, I really liked how the ice breath added some nice complexity.
I liked this a lot when I played it on the TVGS Transmissions stream! Thanks for submitting it!
I really liked this game, the only thing I did not like was getting caught on walls. The graphics and audio are great. I like the combination of ideas. Good job!
I like it, the mood was very claustrophobic and the way the darkness closed in was creepy. I did have some trouble moving sometimes and it wasn't clear why. I played the HTML5 version on Firefox.
Nice game, I like how you used the theme. This was well done platformer and great story, I loved the twist at the end!
I really liked this game, although I wasn't able to save the dragon. I really liked the different encounters and I loved the art style.
This hits close to home! I love the idea and humor was great. It does get too difficult to continue, but it was fun to play until then.
Congrats on doing your first game jam (especially doing Compo)! A simple idea, but very effective and well done. You might want to look into ways to vary the pitch of sound effects, especially ones that are going to get a lot of repetition. Nice job overall!
Nice story and a good approach to the theme. It was fun to figure out how to save everyone!
This was nice approach to the theme and a little different. I liked it very much.
This is a nice game, very creative. It made me a little dizzy, but I really liked playing it anyway!
I got stuck in the basement. I love the art style and the way the story was gradually revealed was fun. I really wanted to see where the story went.
Nice job overall. I did get stuck a few times, in part because it was hard to time placing a tile and, when that happened, I would have to wait for the game to time out. Other than that, it is an original take on the theme and a very fun game.
Really creepy and creative idea. The audio and graphics were very effective.
Neat game! I agree that it slowed down a little too much, but it's a very creative game and fun to play.
I really enjoyed playing this. It reminded me of playing 'Murder' with my sisters when we were kids. The clues are a really nice touch (especially with them being red herrings so much of the time.)
I loved this game! It jumped around a lot for me, which kind of gave me motion sickness. If it wasn't for that, I would have kept playing it for much longer.
Very unique game. The pedestrians turning around and going back across the street was kind of frustrating, but it was also kind of funny in twisted way. Nice sound effects and death animation.
This was cute. I loved trying to nod during the Zoom call while petting the cat.
Thank you for the laugh! The backstory for the song is really cute, too.
This is so much fun to play!
This was fun. I really liked the variety of characters.
Congrats on completing your first game jam and getting a game out! The wolf going so fast was really fun (the world going by in blur like that especially), although it does make it difficult to control. I also kind liked the fact the villages got stuck on you. The controls when you are human could probably use some polish and I did get stuck sometimes when jumping. Overall though, it's a neat idea and it was fun to play.
This was an experience, the story and the puzzles worked very well together. Very effective.
Nice game! Loved the third trial and liked that reversal for the last trial. The art and audio was also really great!
Very fun game! I loved watching the battles play out and reading the descriptions.
I like this! It's a creative take on the theme that's a little twisted. Definitely has that old-school Flash game feel to it. Only complaint I have is that I wanted more levels...Great job!
Loved it, the three of you did a great job!
I liked this game, although clicking on the food didn't always seem to work. Overall it was fun to play around with the food and the audio worked very well.
This is a very cute game, having Mom tell you to fix it was funny. I really liked that touch.
Very good game! Like Connect 4 with Chess. I liked it very much, the only issues were the bugs. :)
Nice game! The music got a little repetitive, but I liked the variety of ways to open the doors. The typing one was a little frustrating, but over good job!
Nice game! The enemy behavior could be a bit hard to predict. I like the idea and planning my next move while frozen was frustrating in good way.
We played this on the stream for TVGS. It was so much fun! This was great idea.
Nice game! The only issue I have is that the size of it doesn't fit my screen, so I was not able to plan out what I was going to do next. It looks like this is more for a mobile device than a computer. Also, I liked the music, it looped without sounding too repetitive.
I liked it, but it was hard to tell when the janitor was going to react, he started coming after me and I was not sure why. The music was good and I liked the idea.
This is a fun game! The controls are bit difficult, but that seems to be the point. The night level looks really good, too.
This is fun and it really reminded me of Sonic. The controls need some work, turning felt awkward, and backing up would really help. Timing jumps was also difficult. The graphics were great and I like the idea a lot.
Really creepy! I liked this a lot. The lighting and audio was well done. I think it was a bit odd to be playing as burning duck and the movement was a bit slow, but I enjoyed it.
Nice to see a Ren'Py game! Really cute story. One critique on the dialog display. This may be a personal preference, but I find it easier to read when new dialog is displayed on it's own rather than appended to the current dialog. Otherwise, a really neat idea! Good job!
This is really neat. I liked way you advance the text, but it would be easier to read if it was a larger font. I kept trying to read it while dodging the spikes, which are hard to predict. Overall, great idea!
Nice game, a very relaxing way to spend time in the middle of an apocalypse. Good effort!
